signs not large enough to read
Went to buy a pair of shoes and it was BOGO and there were signs all over the shoe department that said buy one get one half off. When we got up to the register it did not give us the buy one get one half off. We went to the service desk and the person at the desk said that one pair of shoes were not BOGO. The lady told us that we had to read the fine print. She was not very nice about it either. We should not have to read fine print at a store with BOGO signs all over. If the print was bigger no one would have to go through what we went through. I will not shop at that Kmart again or tell anyone else to either. All you need to do is make your signs alittle larger or do not put the BOGO signs where there are things already on sale. You can email me at [protected]@yahoo.com with any comment.

wrong prices
I have always loved shopping this little Kmart store. It used to be slower paced, trustworthy, and pretty much organized. But I just shopped there yesterday and it was terrible. Two items I went to puchase under a big advertised sign did not ring up right. The school items were in a big disorganized mess with no listed prices. Then I went to use the layaway that they keep advertising and they raised the amount you have to put down. Imagine that! Oh and I have to mention their wonderful electronic check system. So much for the last good ole store.

I had a $5.00 off coupon with the purchace of $50.00 it took me going to the checkout 5 times as all there prices were wrong I am about fed up with kmart and about ready to drive the extra 10 miles to wal mart. They are getting rude there and then when you go to take something back even with the reciept they tell you the reciept doesn't match and they give you the sale price the clerks instead of scanning all the items if they are all on sale for 1.99 then they say 3 times 1.99 then it doesn't have all the different items on there then it goes on sale for .25 cents it's not on the reciept right so that's all you get back is .25 cents. It's bull
the web site has a winnie the pooh car seat listed at the price of 18.99 and in the store i am payin 70 dollars when asked why such a big price difference they said a computer era will be fixed 3 weeks later still reads 18.99 when complained again noone has an answer the model number is 024w024260110001
non-existent customer service
K-Mart Management
July 29, 2009
My 93 year old mom, residing in a nursing home, needed some new shoes. My wife recommended we shop at Kmart, expressing that you have a good selection. You were featuring a ½ off second pair, so we were enticed into buying two pair. Note receipt # [protected] on 7-29-09 at 3:49 PM, in Bonita Spring, Florida.
When we arrived at checkout, there was only one checker for the entire store # 3677. We noticed a manager visiting with what appeared to be friends or family. We noticed two associates visiting together at the Customer Service desk. We noticed other associates milling around the store near the check-out. We were in a very long line of customers awaiting checkout and the customer at the lone cash register appeared to have some sort of payment problem with her large purchase. It was obvious that no Kmart associate was concerned for any of the customer’s time, service, return business or their impression of Kmart as an organization.
In frustration, I pulled out of the line and went, with my two pair of shoes, to the customer service desk as my time was limited. At the time I stood at the Customer Service desk, one of the many wondering Kmart associates joined those at the desk to discuss personal plans for the evening. Your associate “Alana” finally waited on me. As you will note from the referenced receipt—Alana and/or your computer failed to recognize the advertised 50% discount for the second pair of shoes and charged the full price to my debit card—no information or question on the keypad was provided to verify the amount of the sale. When I was handed the receipt, was the first opportunity I had to notice the absence of the advertised discount.
What followed was even more bazaar. Alana had to call and call to motivate the supervisor to address the appropriate credit. After a long period, with my wife and granddaughter in the hot car outside and growing restless, Alana asked me to swipe my debit card again for a second charge that included the advertised discount. I walked out with a handful of receipts and 2 pair of shoes—which I am not sure will actually fit my mom.
The saga is not yet ended. Kmart has not credited my debit card with the first incorrect charge—thus I’ve already paid more than twice for the shoes.
Ever wonder why over the years Kmart has not grown at the pace of Wal-Mart? In my opinion, it’s all about the ineffective MANAGEMENT of your organization. It all starts at the top and flows downhill all the way to your Bonita Beach store 3677.
How Kmart handles the subject ordeal will be interesting to note.

it's my bad sorry give me advice
You used your debit card? Well then right after the cash back option there is another screen that tells you to press yes or no to verify the amount of the transaction. Politely bringing the length of lines to the attention of the supervisor usually works, too. I agree, there are some problems with the associates that you mentioned just from your account. As for crediting your account: does your account actually show two charges? From experience as a manager the supervisor most likely "post voided" your original transaction at a later time thereby negating the entire sale. And since you don't have to be present for that, nor have your card on hand, they wouldn't do it right as they are trying to get you out the door. Check your statement again and if there is only one charge and no credit then the original transaction was essentially deleted.

unfair treatment of a disabled person
My daughter who is Mentally Impaired shopped at KMart in Greenville, MI. several times. When she would ask for help with an item's price and ask does she have enough to get it, the employee would be very rude to her. My daughter had come home on several occasions complaining about the treatment she received from the employees there. On May 2, 2009 my daughter went to Greenville KMart to shop for Hanna Montana stuff. She had money on her when she left home. She also had her back pack which has her school supplies in it along with water and snacks for her while in Greenville. She went into the store and started shopping, she had found some lotion and some other stuff she liked. She asked one of the employees if she had enough to get the item/items. Again the employee was very rude to her and said thats for kids, adults cannot buy it. Then my daughter was looking around the store. And she looked at some cds/dvds/etc. And there was others in the area she did not know. The others ran out of the store. She continued shopping when all of a sudden an employee approched her and grabbed her arm [causing bruises], took her to the back room accusing her of stealing items. The police was called in. My daughter told them several times "she is handicapped and she wanted me [her mother], step dad, sister, or brother in law present during questioning. Cause she does not understand what they are asking her. She said this several times and each time she was refused that right, they also refused her the right to make a phone call. Her memorandium rights were not read to her before questioning. She was forced into signing papers that she did not understand or could read. [She can not read]. She was arrested and taken to jail. After this we got a lawyer and I requested some kind of video/audio tapes to prove what had happened on that date. I was told they do not have a working camera in the whole store so they do not have any type of tapes that they can provide. So this is a case of the employees word against a handicapped persons word. I believe my daughter is innocent, cause it has been months now and she tells everyone at different times the same thing she said in the beginning. The story has not changed. I feel that KMart violated my daughter's legal rights along with her civil rights. I feel that the Greenville Police Department also violated these rights. This is my complaint and we are fighting these charges as of right now. I will take it to the highest court if need be. My daughter is innocent and this was very unfair justice with a handicapped person.

rude treatment by employees
I am disabled & must walk with a walker, my legs are in bad shape so it hurts to stand a long time. I couldn't get a refund on the moisterizer I tried to return, & they would only give me a gift card on the other but while we were waiting for the mgr. she took care of another customer & left me standing until that one was done. It seems like they think I have the black plague or something, they totally ignore me unless I wave & talk loudly because I have to use a walker, I'm invisible to everyone because I'm not normal, but they care for the healthy ones first & leave me standing & waiting. It will take me at least a week now for the swelling to go down in my ankles, knees & hips. I have $0.91 left on the gift card, but nothing in the store for that price so I don't think I'll ever shop there again. Whatever happened to treating the customer with respect?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
It depends on whether or not the customer helped before you was waiting longer. If so, the manager is entitled to help whoever was waiting first, and it would be of no bias towards your condition.
scam and lies
Sold me an instock ring, then after paying, 4 days later, told it will be 20 days before shipping, after christmas. then told in stock, was, in stock at the vendor. not in stock at kmart. now told they are resizing the item, as the instock item is not in stock at vendor, vendor has to resize the ring before shipping. all a bunch of lies, just to get my money and lock me in when i cant do something else now.

wrong medicine
I had a prescription filled for blood pressure and for some reason (could be that the pharmist spent the whole transaction on a personal call) I felt strange about the meds. I went ahead and took the pill but then again felt uneasy when my blood pressure dropped way down. I then started checking the internet for a picutre of my pill once I found it I realized that the pills he gave me are for a much higher dosage than what the dr. had written the script for.
Needless to say I will be changing my pharmacy as of today.. This is completely unacceptable.

I recived the wrong medicine at Walmart. For two days I took this blood pressure Clonidine; twice a day.
I was already taken my blood pressure Meds. What should I do. Can I contact attorney? I did have side effects.
I will be looking at the medicine container.
Changing your pharmacy? This is a lot more serious than that. Giving the wrong dosage of medicine is a major issue. I'd check with an expert.

morning meetings
My son and I were trtying to find a waterproof bag to take on a snorkeling trip and we had about a half an hour to get there. we stopped at the Kmart in Key West on US1. We asked the lady up front about the bag and she said try sporting goodss. By the time we got back to the department the manager called a meeting and every employee was at this meeting.
Why arent these meetings called before you let customers in the store? Needless to say we couldnt get any help so we left without the item we needed. So thanks Kmart, please stop wondering why your in such bad financial shape, obviously you werent interested in my money for a sale.
But hey at least you had that all important meeting. We even stood back at the meeting to get help and we were ignored by the entire group including the manager.
Whatever!

I was k-mart in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia last evening. The Wrigley gum had a big sale sign 10 for $10.00 with assorted wrigley gum underneath. I took 3 packs to the checkout. one rang up for $1.00, the other two rang up for $1.49 each. I asked them to correct the overcharge and they did. I asked the checkout employee if she was going to correct the problem in the computer so that this overcharge won't happen to others. She told me that Kmart will be closing in an hour or so and that item goes off sale tomorrow anyways. I held up a few others waiting in line for me to get my 98 cents back. I wonder how many shoppers would take the time to complain about a 98 cent overcharge? I wonder how many others bought wrigley gum in the next 75 minutes. I wonder if the checkout employee at k-mart is still angry at me for holding up her line over 98 cents? I WONDER!

I bought two TV's in 2007 from Kmart in Defiance, Ohio. Both boxes were labeled with the words "digital tuner". When I bought them, I specifically looked for TV's with digital tuners. It turns out that neither TV has a digital tuner.
One is an RCA, model # 24V511T.
One is a Sylvania, model # 6424 TFS.
I emailed [protected]@customerservice.kmart.com.
The more run-around I get, the more it becomes a question of honesty and integrity. Would you, your friends, or family do business with a company that blatantly misrepresents it's products knowing that it can probably get away with it for a couple years? (I only became aware of the problem after TV went digital).

Jacob G.,
There is no disputing the fact that an act of fraud was committed here. The products I was sold were purposely misrepresented. Your response is to send me a copy of your return policy. What is integrity worth to you and your company? It's clear to me that the problems of fraud and misrepresentation are being ignored at this level. I ask politely that you forward this entire email to your supervisor and request a response.

i was given a receipt to full out feedback to be entered into a $4000 gift card and was unable to find where to do that My receipt number is [protected]
Was overcharged, at the check out[having to wait 15mins with only 2 check lanes] then to get my money refunded I had to wait another 20 mins. while the service desk girl took care of customers that had come in after me. She acted as if didn`t know anything. Your employees are not trained very good they acted as dumb as a box of rocks. I will never shop in your store ever again. There are to many places to spend my money. Between the jewerly dept. and other items I spent well over $100.00 which will be the last as I made a special trip to your store.
I went online at kmartfeedback.com to complete your survey. While I'm doing the survey several ads came up asking for personal information. Before I realized what they were, they had my phone number and other personal information. I would not have given them that information had I known, because I thought the questions were for your survey. Since then I have gotten 4 phone calls concerning one of those ads and I'm not happy. I think it's wrong that your survey tricks people into putting their personal information into one of your ads. Not a happy customer!
Kmart's receipts are printed with an invitation to complete a feedback survey and possibly win a prize by doing so. The website they tell customers to go to is KMARTFEEDBACK.COM, but it does not exist. There are numerous complaints on this website about this same issue, so what's up Kmart?
Ill give you feedback your website doesn't exist enter your feedback and enter to win a 25oo kmart gift card NOT. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME.
As others have complained, there is NO such site. What a scam. I go to this Kmart all the time, too bad they won't get any compliments, since there is no such website!
Hi Tamjay, I am Winterbuttercup, I live in Tx.
I filled out a survey along time ago for a free meal @Red lobster! Its all bogus!
They will do anything to get your name address etc. Just like we gave it up here!
I am on here about all the Jewelry channels. I moved fro J.T. V. and thought I had found a great one, I did get some nice pieces, but sooner than later, they do what they all do best. Get your money and to heck with the product.
I don't have any problem getting their website. You can't sue for false advertising just because you can't access the website.
http://www.kmart.com/
I to wanted to enter the Kmart survey and can not find the correct URL to take the survey. What the heck is going on. Stop printing this on the reciepts and you, Kmart can save money.
verbal abuse
My daughter, and I were verbally abused by 2 different employees on april 20, 2009. I had contacted the store manger two times, and my call was returned by a manager that got my complaint while in a meeting, and he was so disturbed by it he called me as soon as the corporate office contacted him. But, I haven't heard anything back. Therefore, I am notifying my lawyer that I have heard nothing back, and I am pressing charges. I was nice about it, and have heard nothing. My daughter is 7, and won't even enter back into the store now.

Ha I was refer to this site now share my awful sitiuation with the kmart
I am an intl student of north carolina from india. I was shopping at kmart. When I was shopping, I try to change the price tag but couldn't do well and I just remove the price tag. Then kmart didn't had a cart system. So I already had 3 bags in my hand and cell phone on which I was talking.
I kept everything in my bag and thought I will pay my bill later. Mean while I was on phone and also I had just 4 min to shop as I need to catch the bus to home. I totally forgot that I have that stuff in my bag and I left of the store and I suddenly realize that I need to pay. I was about to return but before that the security people caught me and told me that I was steal stuff which was $140. I know all this shows that I was trying to shoplift but I was just trying to change the label which was lower in price then other. Kmart manager came and she started filling up paper and called police and I said I am sorry. She was not listening to me and cop was also not listening other employee call me slumdog? And I was charge for petit larceny 155.25. I have hearing on may 4th 09 and I am graduating on may 10th '09. I am an international student and after graduation would be applying for job with h1b visa and gc to become of us citizen.
My whole life and career is at stake!
If I will apply for job anywhere and they will ask em for my background checking the will it be show on my social security number for ever?
Or if judge will drop the charges then it will go away from social security and all other background checking stuff?
This is not going to happened again. What should I do? Please advice me. I no want to leave advantage of h1b visa job market all for the stupid problem at the kmart.

Funny thing about shoplifting...it doesn't really matter if that's what you intended to do. Once you leave the store without paying for something, it's stolen. Doesn't matter if you meant to or not. No one can really say for sure whether you planned to take it or not.
And trying to trade out price tags? That's the same thing. It's stealing. When the cashier rang up your items, it would probably still ring at the same price anyway.
So to be honest? I hope you can't come over here and work. And yes, it will always show up on your record.
Crazy thought...don't switch price tags for ones that "was lower in price then other" and don't appear like you're shoplifting. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck...chances are it's a duck.
employee harassment/treatment
My son had Aspergers. We had a bitter feud with the school system in the 90s over his treatment, but he was a fine boy and is now a fine, honest and conscientious young man. I put up a web site describing years of harassment from school personnel related to that, drug racketeering and medical fraud. I happened to read about Michael Savage's vicious remarks about autism and wrote a letter to Kmart to protest sponsoring his show. A few weeks ago, I saw Kmart accessing the website. It was a coincidence that my son worked for Kmart at the time. He was treated well and enjoyed the job. After Kmart visited the web site, he was harassed and finally driven off the job.

emploees honoring sales on folger's coffee
On 3/19/09 I went to K Mart to buy Folger's coff on sale for $5.99, the flavors were: Classic, Breakfast Blend, Columbian, Special Roast and Master Blend. Each blend had the sale sign posted. When I went to pay for it, the cashier rang up $11.89 per can and I informed her tht the price was wrong. She asked another employee who called the "Assistant Manager" up and he said I was wrong-I and another customer told him abpout the sale flyer and the tags on the shelves-he S L O W L Y walked back to check and five minutes later he returned stating all the blends were $5.89 thaty were the 32 oz size except for decaffiented. I went thru the same thing in February and had to actually go to the customer service manager and get a slip from her to get the sale price of $5.99. The employees there need to be trained much better and especially in how to treat customers. I am surprised that store has not been closed!

incorrect pricing/incompetent customer service and management
I purchased two photo albums, both of which contained a pricing sticker on the inside of the album, as well as a product label on the outside, stating the retail price as $12.99. This particular Kmart is going out of business, so there are signs posted saying 20% discount on lowest ticketed price. I was charged $11. 69 per each album. Anyone who knows simple math knows that $11.69 is not 20% off of $12.99. I should have been charged $10.39 for each album. I brought this to the attention of the customer service idiot, who chose to stare at me as if she had no clue what I was talking about. She pointed at the receipt and said in her uneducated smokers voice, 'The discount has been taken off '. Obviously, this woman has had no schooling in simple math. When I insisted a second time that I was overcharged, she pointed at the manager to take care of the situation. The manager however was just as lacking in the intellect department. When I showed him the price printed on the product package, he said, 'I know it says retail price $12.99, but that is not the correct price. Let me get the scan gun and I can tell you what the REAL retail price is.' My reply, 'Don't even bother. This is exactly why your store is going out of business.'
So, my question is, Is this a scam? Is the printed price and posted discount signs an illusion to lure customers in? Little do the unsuspecting shoppers realize, they are about to be robbed without even knowing it! Although the retail price on both of the albums is clearly printed in two very different places, it was lie, a trick, a scam, a tom foolery! I was jipped!
I have to say, I know many people who have lost their jobs due to the economy, but this is the first that I can say, once this store closes, there will be two less idiots for the world to have to deal with during their shopping experience.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
