I worked for Kmart for 33 years and after a serious accident where I was forced to retire, I applied for my pension. I have received 2 sets of paperwork at 2 separate addresses, showing incomplete information. I sent the final completed copies in mid-September and called again in October to verify that my pension was being processed. I was told that my pension check would be processed 45 days from the date of my last completed documents and the calculated date was for November 19, 2012. The person on the phone verified that everything was completed. I called on November 20, 2012 to ask why my check wasn't deposited and was given a new story. They claim that the final paperwork wasn't received until late October which would be a lie. After being persistent in asking for a date of when I would get my check, she finally said 'probably after January 1st because the last useless representative claims I didn't send the final paperwork until the late October date. I have had to delay payments for a hospital bill because of Kmart's lies to me and of course the hospital put me in the credit bureau because they don't believe me anymore. I asked to speak to someone hire up and was transferred reluctantly. I don't expect to get a call back. I have searched the Kmart/Sears website to see if I can send an email or make a call but there is no contact information. I tried their feedback option but it is only for merchandise or stores. I tried their 'help' but it only provides a blank page. Is there a chance that I am not going to get the pension I worked for? i defended Kmart for many years out of loyalty but not anymore and I will never shop there out of loyalty again either.

Rose I only found out what happened to me since I continued to follow-up with them constantly and demanded the truth and finally got the truth that nothing was even mailed yet for me. I am that is not your situaton and that your check was mailed already. When I called [protected] they truly did not cut the check yet, but when I called [protected] they kept telling me he check was sent even though it was not by their own admission this afternoon. I hope and pray your check is in the mail.

I understand completely. [protected] should have verified the information to begin with instead of telling something that was not true at all. Both the supervisor and his supervisor admitted to me that this should have looked into to begin with instead of waiting so long, now they refuse to correct this, both just kept saying their were sorry. Sorry does not help. Very scary since we are all depending on this payout.

To be honest, I don't know, these past two days I have spoken to so many people I have lost count and their names. I had to be persistant and speak with a supervisor and took me endless calls to do that. The first supervisor spoke to yesterday first told me that the check was mailed already and to give it to December 26 to receive. I called [protected] again yesterday and verified for that no check was cut yet and that person told me not to expect my check until sometime in January. I called [protected] back again and that supervisor would not take my call. I called back. talked to someone else who transferred me to another supervisor and then he told me that check was mailed Thursday for sure. At 9:00 a.m. this morning I called [protected] and again told no check cut and no payment until Dec 31st. I asked to speak with a supervisor there and after have to be persistant I finally reached someone who said he was a supervisor and explained I was told the check was mailed on Thursday by [protected] and he said that was not expect payment until Dec 31. Explained my paperwork was due on Nov 9 and he did not really seem to care at all and told me I had to wait until Dec 31 or after before he would be willing to do anything for me. I then called [protected] back and after being persistant again finally got a supervisor and explained I was told no check cut and he looked up my case and said he would have to research. Never called me back, I called back again and spoke with a Patrick I believe, had to explain the situation one more time and first there was no supervisor and then told one available. Spoke with supervisor and then was told he was incorrect and indeed no check was cut at all for me and no payment until Dec 31 which is the due date according to our letter. I asked him what could be done since this check was supposed to be in the mail per all the prior calls I made and would not help me at all. Asked to speak with his supervisor and was transferred, all he would do was apologize, which does nothing for me at this point. I asked if he could help, told me I would have to wait until Dec 31 before they will look into this further for me. No check for me and no one willing to help me at all.
Rose, yes that has been my experience. When I called [protected] there was not check and found out today for sure no check was ever mailed even though that is what [protected] told me.

Rose, have you called [protected] to see what they have for you. There is where I found out no check for me until 12/31. I will be calling everyday to see if this check is cut. I did call them back this afternoon and told me they will be there 12/24 and 12/31 for support. After I was told my check was never printed or mailed like they told me at [protected] do not believe anything they say. I am hoping for your sake Patrick told you the truth.
I don't believe any of the call center employees. I have been told too many stories. If they don't know the answer they should not make up stories and dates like I believe most of them are doing.

Hey guys, When you call them. Can they tell you the exact amount of check. If not then they probably have not been cut. If they give you an amount then keep watcj for it. Feel bad for you! Hope it works out!
I know for sure my check has not been cut yet and probably wont be until after Christmas. I just called again and they are holding firm with the Dec 31st date. I am beside myself they can give incorrect information and wont take responsibility when a major mistake was made like with me. I hope everyone has better success then myself. All I can do is followup each day until I see some action. This is not right.

the only way you will really know, is when it shows up. I believe we all need and want if for the holidays, and they could of made it happen, but they don't care...

Happy to hear you received your check tangel. I just called [protected] to see if any updates about mine. None, no check amount and nothing on system that it was printed or mailed. Told I will need to check everyday for updates, system is updated nightly. It is safe to say if no dates on their system nothing sent. I am praying these checks sooner rather than later for us waiting.

I got my check in San Antonio tx. Check dated 12/14 received in mail today 12/18. My birthday too! What a bday and Christmas gift. Everyone hang in there guys. God bless us all.
Rose that # that tangel gave you is the same # I called to get my amt and when the check was cut...the idiots messed up my paperwork and sent the chk to my old address instead of the new address i put on the paperwork so i am just waiting on my forwarded mail...I would advise you to call that number the [protected] I sure hope our check gets here today..we keep praying that is for sure! just keep your head up guys lets all pray for a Christmas miracle for all of us! :)
Just spoke with mark at [protected] and he stated that no check has been cut or mailed and in return transferred my call to [protected] and I spoke with Mitch. both gentlemen were both pleasant and professional in addressing my questions. Mitch stated that his department only death with the mailing of checks and that checks were being mailed by ING from Florida, and has indicated in his system that I had been set up for payment and that checks will continue to be mailed during the remainder of this week and next week. It seems that the only individuals that will benefit from the delay in processing and mailing payments are the individuals associated with trust payments (ING). Unfortunately, as a recipient we will never receive a portion of the proceeds as associated with the interest drawn on the funds according to the(7) day wait period by financial institutions. Hopefully, checks will be mailed prior to December 31, 2012 11:59pm as to adhere to IRS requirements. Again an additional (7) day wait. Happy Holidays to all, BE BLESSED !

I said that is not what I asked. I want to know when it was mailed and how much the check is for. She said I don't have that information and I said then how do you know my check was mailed. Once again, she says you will have your check in the next 8-10 business days. I said let me talk to a supervisor. She says, No one is available but you can leave a voice mail. So I said I will stay on hold until someone is available. Finally I talked with manager Antoine. Who says they don't have any information on me. So I asked we'll then why did she say 8-10 days. He said its a secure network, blah, blah...so no information. Then I called other number.[protected] and he said you already called us this morning and there is no new information. I said no I called the other number, apparently they are all one place. He said well, you are set up for payment and should receive your check. I said how do you know that if you don't see it has been mailed, and he said well, your paper work was complete so your check is probably in the mail. So once again no real information to go on, So I will call back tomorrow and see what new different story I will get.

I thinl [protected] and [protected] are both the same number since I just got off the phone with Antoine and I called [protected]. I first called [protected], that person could not find me on the system at first which did not give me a warm feeling at all. Could not give me any date information, no check cut yet. Would only tell me my check should arrive by Dec 31 but could not give any other information. I then called [protected] and spent 25 minutes on the line to be told my check should arrive by Dec. 31. Told him check has not even been printed yet and they at that number saying checks should arrive between 12/17 and 12/27 and since mine was not printed and with the weekend and holidays not very positive I will have it on 12/27. He said he would have a supervisor call me back. Waiting for that call back. I then called [protected] again for second time today. Same story again, no check until Dec 31, asked again when to expect to be printing and could not tell me any information. After several minutes of going back and forth, she transferred me to Antoine and now he has to research this. I did count the calender and counting today there are only 10 more days for mail delivery this calender year and our checks have not even been cut yet. Very scary.
