Heritage Farms Chicken
A few months ago I purchased Heritage Farms Chicken and when I opened the package to cook it, it was obvious one of the chicken breasts was bad. This one had a more yellow coloring to it and smelled bad. I had to throw it away but was able to eat the rest of the chicken in the package. With prices being so high I recently purchased chicken breasts from Heritage Farms again since their price was better. This time I diced the chicken and began to cook it. As I was cooking it I smelled a horrible smell and determined there was no way I was serving that to my family. The chicken had gone bad. I took it off the burner and called my husband and asked him to pick up chicken on his way home, any brand but Heritage Farms. After sitting off the burner for a while the smell went away so I tried to cook it again to see if it was salvageable. I immediately smelled that horrible smell again. The chicken went right into the trash, They are obviously using inferior or old chicken and that is why the price is lower. I will NEVER buy that brand again. Shame on them. This literally could have resulted in food poisoning.
Desired outcome: Since I no longer have the packages I cannot ask for a refund but I would like Kroger to stop carrying this brand of chicken. It is not safe to eat.
Kroger Canadian Bacon
4/24/2022 9:30am
I recently purchased a package of Kroger brand Canadian bacon. When I tried to warm it in the microwave oven it started sparking like it does when there is metal present. Why would this product have metal in it? I did not see any metal listed in the ingredients.
Product was purchased at the Ralphs Market on Jefferson St. in La Quinta, California.
Desired outcome: I would like an explanation as to why this product would behave in this way when placed in the microwave even on a low power setting.
Kroger's weekly ads
I normally get a weekly ad from Kroger's weekly. As of 3 weeks from today, 4/21/22 I notice the weekly ads had stop coming in the mail. I call customer service at the main office and ask if Kroger's still sending ads out in the mail and the answer was yes, this was 2 weeks ago, around 4/8/22. So, I call the main store, (Maumelle) I shop at weekly customer service and ask them, and I was told Kroger's has stop sending the ads out and to look online or come by the store to get an ad. This has been in convince for me and I know of some elderly people that do not use nor have computers and don't have a way of driving to the store to pick up a Kroger ad. This is not fair to these people. Can you start sending these ads out, again?
Thanks
Desired outcome: Please start mailing Kroger's ads out again.
Manager
The manager(Brian Self) was being very rude to a customer in the store who was asking him about an incident that had supposedly taken place with her son. The lady asked for the number to the corporate office and he told her “NO” and he wasn’t going to entertain her. He then called the police on the young lady for nothing and then told police she was banned from store.
Desired outcome: Manager needs to be fired!!!
Brand leaf spinach
I purchased Kroger brand leaf spinach because they were out of stock for the brand I usually buy. I opened the can of spinach
[protected] and warmed it up with dinner, began to eat, and I bit into something hard that definitely wasn’t spinach. I spit it out and threw away the rest of the can. It had a wood chip in it, maybe mulch wood chips or something. Either way, I’m only guessing and that’s just gross! No more Kroger brand leaf spinach and likely no Kroger brand anything else. I’d like to know that what I purchase is what I’m actually eating.
Here is a picture of whatever was in Kroger brand leaf spinach.
Kroger rewards
Back in December I had earned a lot of kroger fuel point rewards. I had though the month before something was wrong when I went to use at the pump but didn't have time to look into to. In December I was cheated out of over 2000 points. It seems they have a problem they don't care about with reward points from gift card purchases. I only buy my gift cards there because of the fuel points . I was creditted the points but just like that they disappeared. i reveiwed my account . They were never redeemed, just disappeared. Went to customer service and spent a long time for them to see what I was saying but they said they couldn't refund points anymore I had to go through corporate. I didn't get the receipts all printed and my complaint filed before Jan went to Feb and I couldn't see the activity anymore. Everyone looked at me crazy when I would say it. Now my daughter is up in arms because she buys a lot of gift cards and had over 2500 fuel points from them. Hers have disappeared also. Is this intentional? We can't be the only ones seeing this and complaining. Between that and the fact ALL Kroger stores are trying to force you to use self checkout, I am seriously not sure I am wanting to shop Kroger anymore.
Pick up
I went to go pick my order up on 2/2/22 upon getting home I noticed several items missing so I looked at my receipt and saw I had been overcharged for items I didn’t receive the picker basically gave me what they wanted I’ve been in contact with customer service who only gives the run around my refund amount ended up being for 91.36 after I finally got someone to listen now it’s April and still no refund even after I was sent an email stating I would be refunded this amount. Now I’m told there is nothing they can do about it well that’s not good enough
Desired outcome: I want my refund back in full
Private Selection Prime Beef ground chuck
I have purchased this ground chuck in the past. My husband has been grilling for 40 years and has always been successful at it. When I pattied the meat I knew it felt extra greasy and dense. As he was grilling it he noticed it had shrunken considerably. When we took our first bite there were no juices and the burger was quite flavorless. I also purchased the Kroger Brand hot sausages and thank goodness for that because we did have an alternative for a meal.
Desired outcome: Fix it
Customer service
I purchased pick up services through the Kroger app, retrieval number: 827/6. I did ask for exchanges for most of my items, if the item was not available. However, upon arrival at home and placement of foods where they go, my drumsticks had a leg that was clearly bad, the red seedless grapes had a grape that was black and my turkey sausages was exchanged for pork sausages. This is not the exceptional services that I have received several times before, when using the Kroger pick up services.
Today, April 4, 2022 at 7:10 pm I arrived at Kroger, 5995 Stage Rd to request an exchange for the ruined food and customer service was not available for assistance with my issue. When I asked to speak with the manage, he stated that he had no way of completing any task with customer service. This is a problem as I am a past employee of Kroger and I know that a manager can preform all tasks for customer service.
Desired outcome: I would like an apologize for this misleading information that was told by the manager at Kroger as well as a refund of items along with complementary voucher for the replacement of poor selection of foods.
Gas pump with fuel points
I have used fuel points for many years with no problem, but yesterday the new system cheated me out of my points. I entered my loyalty number, entered my CC numbers and got the message "you can select between 10-100 cent discount". I decided to select 100 and as soon as I pressed the "1" button the screen changed and told me I would get 10 cents discount...

I would like to file a complaint with the Kroger pharmacy. Every time that I need to pick up a prescription there is only one person waiting on customers and 15 waiting in line. Most of the time you are standing for a half hour to 45 minutes if you are lucky. What about those who are handicapped or elderly? What if you are only needing to drop off a new...

This happened on March 28th at 3:27pm. At Kroger in Columbia city, Indiana. So I needed to get creamer. And only two were within reach. The third was WAAAAAY in the back. At the back where it has to be grabbed from the back of the dairy case. I asked the worker "excuse me, can you get that creamer. The Carmel one. I can't reach it." She didn't respond. But gave me a glare type look. I expected it to be brought out to me. But no. It was like THROWN down the thing to me. And the [censored] [censored] walked out from the back after. Instead of bringing it out to me, she THREW it down the little tray thing where the bottle of creamers
Black Bean and Corn Salsa
Your Black Bean and Corn Salsa has always been a favorite of our family and friends and was the only one we ever served at parties. Recently we have noticed that the product has become diluted with so much water that we have to put it through a sieve before serving. Stop watering down the product. It's not like we haven't noticed what you are doing. All of our friends and neighbors have noticed it too. We're tired of literally pouring our money down the drain.
Desired outcome: Please address these issues for our mutual benefit. Your store is getting a bad reputation.
Pharmacy
1. The pharmacy did not have my antibiotic prescription available until 24 hours after my accident. 2. I was sent a text when the Rx was ready and called to see if that was the correct price because it was an outrageous price. I was told they didn't have my insurance information and could not quote what the price would be with insurance. This was the clerk...

Left my car at a pump filling while I ran inside the store for five minutes. Attendant very rudely told me that I couldn’t do that and I’d be liable for any spill over. I told her I would not do that next time and disagreed about the spill over (saying that it was Kroger’s responsibility to maintain the auto-stop latches on the pump). She pretty much...

Went to Pick N Save in Watertown morning of 3/21. Bought the 4 pack of breakfast sandwiches. When I opened the box there were only 3 sandwiches on the box. I never usually have a problem with Kroger products so this was odd.
Desired outcome: A coupon for a box of sandwiches or money back.
Evening manager treated me like a criminal
On tuesday, match 15, 2022
I was treated like a criminal by a manager who threatened to call the police on me when all I did was try to use the bathroom while homeless. (a manager I never saw before with a tattoo - of a dollar sign, I think - under his rights eye.)
I shop at this location nearly every day of the year. I don't spend as much money as some other customers, but I wager I do spend more of my money than they spend of theirs at this location. I have been a loyal customer here since the dearly '90s and I haven't broken any laws since 1995 when I was 18. I am now 45 years old. I am homeless, but unlike many others in my situation, I do not drink or smoke or use drugs of any kind ever and certainly not in the store I depends on ever day. A store that I think of as mine and as such treat as if it's mine. I have never been approached by management before, because I don't cause problems, I don't leave a mess and I often leave things cleaner than when I arrived.
I recently lost everything I own in a fire started by someone outside a tent not too far from my own. I lost my camp spot and now I am forced to carry my sleeping bag etc with me everywhere I go, which makes me look even more homeless and draws attention. I know this makes me look like other homeless people who do break the rules and laws and use drugs in the bathrooms at grocery stores, but I don't deserve to be treated a certain way because I resemble a certain group of people. I don't want those people doing that in my store any more than you do, and prob'ly even more so because it makes all homeless people look bad and threatens to make my already stressful situation even more difficulty.
At approx 8:45pm on tuesday, match 15, 2022, I entered through the west end of the store near the deli pulling my rolling duffle bag with my sleeping bag inside, like every night since the fire on feb. 25th.
I looked at the sushi and the salads and decided I would use the bathroom before buying dinner.
When I got to the bathroom only one of the stalls had toilet paper and two of the toilets looked liked they wouldn't flush, the strall with the paper was over of those, so I took the paper from that strall and into the cleanest one of the three.
It's not easy to fit my rolling bag into the smaller stalls with me (I leave the accessible stall for those who need it for more than convenience), so it takes a little longer to get situated in the stall, at which point I take the time to wipe down the seat, using a couple of wadded-up seat covers or toilet paper.
Then, just as I turned around and was going to sit down, I heard a voice saying that the bathroom was being closed for cleaning and everybody needed to exit the restroom, so I squeezed myself and my bag back out of the stall, washed my hands and, after wiping the counter, I left the bathroom without a word. This was about 8:50pm, because I texted my friend about it at 8:53.
I grabbed a basket from outside the self checkout and went back to get the sushi crunch roll I looked at before and a discounted superfood salad, then got a small box of donuts and walked down to the "day old bread" rack (just in case there was something good) and a kombucha.
After I paid for these at the self checkout I saw the person who asked me to exit the bathroom so he could clean, and, assuming he was done cleaning, I went back to the same stall to do what I was there to do before but again before I could sit down he was in the bathroom again, this time right outside the stall asking me why I was back in the bathroom after I was just in there (I wasn't just in there, I banner out and did my shopping before I went back to give home time to clean) and I reminded him that he was the one who asked me to leave so he could clean up and that I hadn't been able to use the bathroom before so I came back to do that. He then told me thety I was spending way too much time in the bathroom and threatened to call the police.
It was at that point that I left the stall and followed him out of the bathroom to try to resolve the issue by speaking to him directly.
I was angry about the implication that I was doing something wrong and I cussed at him, which he didn't deserve. But then I asked him to check the camera footage so he could see that I wasn't in the bathroom for an unreasonable account of time, to which he replied that there are no cameras and he doesn't need to see any footage. He informed me that they cannot allow people to "do those things" in their bathroom and that I wasn't supposed to take merchandiser into the bathroom with me. I pointed out that the footage would show that I went directly to the bathroom from the self checkout, where I paid for the merchandise I took into the bathroom with me, (the second time - the first time I went to the bathroom, I was only carrying what I came into the store with) and I said that that policy is about un-paid-for items. He said it still "looks suspicious".
He told me he didn't want to argue and again said he would call the police, "for arguing?" I asked. He never asked me to leave the store or told me why he would call the police.
I told him that I don't drink or smoke or use other drugs and that i'm not arguing but saying that it's not okay to accuse people of doing things they didn't do because they look a certain way.
Another employee apologized to me and said that if I wasn't doing anything wrong then he's sorry I felt like I was being accused of something I didn't do. I thanked him and went back to the bathroom.
This time, after I finally sat down, I heard talking outside the bathroom and someone saying that they were told I was in the bathroom for a very long time and they heard suspicious noises like rattling and cans then someone entered the bathroom and knocked on the stall door and asked me what was going on. I told him I came in the store and went to the bathroom but left before I could use the toilet then did my shopping and came back to use the bathroom. He told me I had 15 minutes and then he would call the police. I thanked him and finally was able to do my business. I walked my hands, wiped down there counter and left the store.
I shop at this store every day of the week and this manager made me look like a criminal in front of other employees and told them directly that I was doing something wrong and these are people who see me every day and i'm afraid this is going to change the way i'm viewed and the way i'm treated when I shop here. (I get enough of that kind of treatment outside of fred meyer because i'm homeless. I shouldn't get that from employees representing a store where I am such a loyal customer) this is my home town and this is the store i've been coming to since I was 14 yo and I have never felt unwelcome here until now, which saddens me greatly.
I recently lost everything because of the actions of other homeless people and now i'm afraid that i'm going to lose another invaluable resource (fred meyer) because of what other homeless people have done, and I don't deserve that.

Desired outcome: i want this manager retrained in how to treat loyal customers and to take some kind of course on discrimination and profiling. i want this in his file.i want an apology.
Was charged for Items that I did not order or receive
On 3/9/22 I ordered my groceries from Kroger and they were delivered on Thursday 3/10/22 between 2-4pm with the instacart Boost program.
I checked my receipt online later that day and noticed that there were extra charges on it for items I did not order or receive.
I called customer service [protected]) the next day (Friday 3/11 about 4:20pm) and had a lot of trouble just understanding what they were saying and actually had to call back a couple times just to be able to hear them. Anyway, I told the lady about the items that I was charged for and did not receive. I figured out that the amount of those Items that I was charged for was 15.25 plus any tax I was charged.
She reluctantly said she would put a credit in my cart for 14.00... not the amount I was charged. I told her I had figured the cost to me was 15.25 plus tax. She argued with me, saying they don't return tax. I got upset with that answer. She put me on hold about 5 minutes, then came back saying she got the tax refund approved plus an amount closer to the actual amount I was charged . They would put 17.00 in my cart, all i had to do is "on my next order is click on this, click on that,. type in a note under Special instructions..." What? This is too complicated.
Why can't they just refund this amount to my kroger credit card that I used?
I am not sure I will be able to figure it out of how to get my money back.
This system is too confusing !
I am still upset about this... I got no apology for this happening, I didn't get anything extra for my time and trouble of having to deal with this.. She was almost rude about it, as if this was just my fault. That attitude was very disturbing.
So if I don't order from Kroger instacart next time, then I won't get back the money they owe me? I mean I'm considering switching to another grocery order service.
Desired outcome: I would like my money plus an extra incentive to be refunded to my kroger credit card. I would like an apology.
Pharmacy
Its been a month to get a prescription filled was holding it hostage first the could fill it then they couldn't use a discount card then they couldn't get it then it had to go to speciality pharmacy but then wouldnt fax over doc form so it's been over a month dealing with this it's not a nail fungus but could be life threating do I have to turn to a lawyer or the local news
Desired outcome: speedy service not to messed over
