management
I saw a manager yell at an employee for being behind and not pulling hot food from the deli, she was pretty upset when I asked if she was ok she said yes it happens all the time. Why doesn't management help the employee instead of yelling about it not being done. I've been seeing this a lot lately at the store and I probably won't shop there anymore. The manager should put his phone away to, he pulled it out right after leaving the deli...
deli department in stanwood, wa
I am so tired of the deli manager being rude and very abrasive! Her attitude is so unapplealing everytime she has helped me and today was no different.
I would submit my grocery receipt for feedback but it did not come with the entry # to submit one this grocery shop. She does not smile or even try to be pleasing.! Her name tag is never available to just gripe at her. I will also call the store manager as this is habitual. She again asked what I wanted not how are you, how can I help you but can I get you something?really ? Im standing here at your case and the other 3 employees did not look at me to help -happens a lot in there. Anyway I asked for a 1# each of ham and turkey and said I would come back to pick up with a smile but from me not her. I came back 15 min later to my meat on top of the counter but only 1/2# of each so I looked at the employees and they looked over my head to tell her the mistake she walked back slowly did not look at me or even apologize as to her mistake. Took her time grabbed the 2 bags on the counter took out of bag plopped the extra meat on rewrapped and just said here ya go! no eye contact have a nice day or sorry you had to wait my mistake. Wow, everytime I have encountered her help there is a smack in the face -what a rude hate to say [censored]! I cant believe she is still employeed there, I have complained numerous times on my feedback survey so ya think someone would look at the tally and start to question her lack of customer skills! Ill speak to the manager also today because no one really needs this person working and ruining customers days.

store smell awful - community has unfortunately put it on facebook
Hello,
Please be aware that some in the community have been very vocal about the awful smell at this semi new Kroger store.
Some even drive to Walmart just because of the stench that hit your nose when you walk in the store.
It has resorted to people going on FaceBook and discussing the smell at this Kroger in Whitehaven at 1212 E Shelby Dr, Memphis, TN, 38116
You can see one of the comments at Kia Salaam page 09/07/18.
I have smelt the stench the stench also. I do think you need to be aware it.
Thank you
a roach leg in a container of pineapple tidbits.
I am really trying to get through with someone employed with Kroger. Again I Beverly Slater purchased a package of pineapple tidbits 5/27/18 and while eating I happen to see a roach leg in container. I have sent a piece of leg because it broke and I still have other part to Pacific Coast Producers to view where Pamela Mee is employed once viewed Pamela Mee informed me to them it look like a stem of product I did inform her at that time it look like a insect leg to me. I still have other part and I think your company need to get someone else to view because I am sueing for $20 Hundred Thousand Dollars for having a bug leg in what I purchased and most likely ate some. I do not want to publicize issue but I will if that is the only way for me to get the issue solved.
I have sent this information to the CEO/Rodney McMullen of Kroger a number of times.
Thanks,
Beverly Slater

I am scared now. I did not know that this would go through on a public forum. The truth is none of this happened. I placed the spider leg there myself in hopes that they would settle outside of court. I told my friend about this and they said that if they do an investigation and find out that I made this up and placed the spider leg there myself that they can sue me and I could sue me. SHe said some lady tried to claim she found a finger at Wendy's and she ended up in jail for her lies. Please let me know how this review can be deleted before it gets further. I thought that they would settle out of court for $20, 000 if I threatened to make a fuss so it does not get on social media.
Sorry for any trouble that I caused.
shopping
I was shopping at Kroger (I55) Jackson MS around 2:00 pm today, Thursday September 6th. I thought that I might make only 2 or 3 purchases - one which I had dwelled on for a few days because it was on sale - a Kroger brand sunscreen lotion. I bought two half gallon Kroger brand Orange-Pinapple juice at $1.99 each last night from the same location. I also have liked the Kroger brand Chunk Light tuna in oil and have purchased a dozen or so cans in the last two weeks. I like the Kroger brands that are good for me and don't cost me so much. I usually buy the Kroger brands over the other national types because it has been what I am used to and I realize that it not only is cost effective, but helpful to the store as well.
I had a telephone conversation with a Kroger representative today about a problem I had in the store on I55 Jackson MS. He suggested that I take it up with the Sheriff. The Kroger representative explained that he did not note that I had done anything wrong. he felt that the problem in this case - a bag problem (I wear a backpack while shopping) that the Officer had with me and not the management who has never notified me that it was an issue. I don't own a vehicle. I walk, ride the bus, or bicycle. I'll be fifty years old on September the 11th. I've been shopping Kroger brand products for more than fifteen years.
My mom owns a vehicle and I don't. Therefore, at checkout, I use her phone number for the gas savings passed her way [protected]) - Delores S. Smith).
Thank you,

gluten free bread
My son is gluten free and we have tried several different breads. I have recently found out that my local krogers has ordered La Brea gluten free bread on multiple occasions and it has been crossed off the list. They told me that this means a discontinuation is occurring. This is the only bread that we have found to taste good and not fall apart. I am writing in hopes that you will continue this bread line. It is priceless to see my son actually enjoy bread again and feel more "normal" at school since you can't even tell the bread is different in any way. I beg you not to discontinue this bread! When I shop I see so many people taking this bread as well so it is hard to find it anyway, I drive to multiple stores in the Columbus area to get this bread and I beg you to not discontinue this bread.
Thank you for hearing me

electric carts
I preferred shopping at Kroger for years until the last few months. I've had 2 heart attacks and a bad one and since. I rely on the electric carts to shop. Walmart is pathetic about it's carts, so I came to Kroger. I went in tonight, and there were 5 carts in line. First 2 didn't work, next 2 were soaked from the rain. Only 1 it of 5 were usable. My sister, who is older, had to take turns with the cart. We were very disappointed. I don't need, nor want contact about this. What I want is something to be done about this issue, as there are many older residents in our community. Thank you.
deanna has the nastiest attitude on the face of the earth
I'm a frequent customer of the 5341 Highway 20 South, Covington, GA 30016 and I'd like to report a cashier/bagger by the name of Deanna Griffin. This young lady has the nastiest attitude on the face of the planet. Whenever I come in the store it is always a problem with her. Long story short she is a bully. On a particular incident I was leaving the store and saw a young lady about 19/20 years old giving me a blank stare, I smiled and was met with vicious eye rolls and nasty attitudes that continued every visit. She picks and chooses who she's nice to and has been getting away with it for years. I think that it goes back to the time of the last manager.
There was a incident (Jan/Feb 2018) I saw with Deanna and a teenage girl who minds to herself in which Deanna was a cashier checking out groceries and being gracious to the customer while rolling her eyes at the teenager who did nothing to her. I was taken back because I saw it, her mom saw it and the manager at the time saw it. The teenage girl never bothered Deanna or said anything to her. Deanna choses to bully her.
I saw her do so many people wrong and dirty that it's sad.
Also if I'm in her line she doesn't acknowledge me or treats me like utter crap. As an older person who worked as a human resource manager I can say a job is very hard to come by but don't treat people like crap!
Be aware:
- Like all people who treat others like crap she has selective memory.
- Also as of now I am now using a different store because this behavior is disgusting.
I usually just browse through complaintsboard looking to solve others ppl problem and just out of boredom but I can tell you as a fellow shopper, I know exactly who you are talking about and she did my boyfriend's niece the same way as she did that teenage girl. I'll just put it to you like this, Deanna is a P.O.S PERIOD for how she treated people, maybe's she has low self esteem or maybe she's just a flatout bully who bullies ppl who she thinks is weak. But as a long story short her actions caught up with her and she got fired. I believe I've noticed you quite a few times Mr. Wilkerson shopping and you are just as kind and observant as can be. But yeah she did that to numerous teenage girls/adults and got fired.
Hello Henry,
As a former Kroger employee in Tennessee, it's not unusual to see this behavior it's actually more common than you think. You have either three options.
1. Report it to corporate
2. Report it to the manager
3. Stop going
I see you've chosen option 3 which possibly the best option. I've dealt with cashiers like this working and shopping. Just go on about life and enjoy it as best as you can because people like this will run into someone who will do this just as bad.
God Bless,
Cynthia
Option 3 is best because no one listens at all, they just make you seem like you're lying I went through everything he just listed.
bistro
Arrived at Kroger in Bossier City, LA at 7:30pm. Intended to get food at the Bistro. Sign on it says serving food from 4pm-8pm. The only food remaining was some fried chicken legs that look like they had been there for quite some time. No one was manning the area and it appeared it was in the process of being cleaned for closing. My wife and I now have to find someplace else to eat (on a Friday evening of a holiday weekend).
customer service manager
I am a frequent shopper of the kroger store located at 4919 Flat Shoals PKWY, Decatur, GA . I had a question regarding my receipt. The wait was 30-45 minutes. Customers in line said that was the normal, which is totally unacceptable. The manager came over and I told him the wait time is horrible. He replied " that's how it is all over the store". Why do we have people working in the stores with that attitude? Many of my neighbors have the same complaints. Something needs to be done about this store. I am at the point where I will escalate this matter, include going to the press.
Something needs to be done about this store!
shortage of all sale items
went to the columbus ms kroger to do our by-monthly grocery shopping and once we started, we found that several items that we wanted to purchase were completely empty, koo; aid jammers, red plums, and several other items as well, we are going to have to start shopping at our local wal mart because they have the items in stock, this is an onging thing in kroger, if it is on sale it should be on the shelf. we live several miles from the store and will have to make another trip just to see if the items are in stock. I do not understand why they cannot have enough items to keep the shelves complete.
thanks you and have a great day.
kraft macaroni and cheese
This is the 3rd time I've found maggots in my mac n cheese, this iscreally starting to piss me off because my whole family was eating this and Im getting tired of seeing bugs in my food.
I'd really like to know why this is happening, everyone loves Kraft's mac n cheese in my house and its something quick and easy but y'all are making it difficult to feed these [censored]ers because we noticed half out pot has bugs
organic food products
What I want to know is why it is that Kroger seems to be decreasing its organic inventory and trying to discourage its organic buyers in the last year or two. First you do away with the Natural Foods section, which I can only imagine was done in some vague hope to increase revenues by forcing those who used to love pursuing the shelves there for the new and unusual to try to forage in the other aisles. No doubt someone who has no understanding of the motivations of those who buy health food and organic items in particular thought that idiocy up. Expecting someone who buys and eats organic on a regular basis to buy GMO and chemical laden toxic crap is like expecting a Vegan to eat meat or a devout Jew to eat non-Kosher. That won't happen, especially since the advent of the internet and stores like Amazon who will ship to your house. If I can't find the organic item I want in the store I'm in, I just go else where to get it--even if I have to wait for a free day and drive 2 hours to a store that has what I want, or more likely, get online an order it for delivery. I will make do without rather than buy non organic. In fact I find myself shopping at Kroger less and less, because it is so hard now to find what I want because it is either hidden somewhere not obvious or gone completely. Increasingly stuff that was a standard buy for me is no longer appearing on the shelves, like Organic Saltine crackers, Organic Muscle Milk in a 4 pack, organic whole chicken, etc. It is frustrating for me and for all my friends and family. I have to say, I and everyone I know that I have talked about it, hate that you have done away with the Natural Foods section. Though, on the other hand, you probably have saved me money, because I just buy less and less at your store. The same can be said for my friends and family. So by alienating us, your organic consumers, you are destroying part of your customer base and impacting your bottom line.
I was threatened, molested discriminated and embarrassed in front of people
This maybe late complain since the incident happened July 26, 2018 in the morning. I called already but haven't heard back what action taken and At that time i called, when representative about to give the case number, the line was cut.
Anyway, this is what happened in 181 Highway 27, Somerset, KY 42501, small Kroger.
I was in self checkout, items are all scanned and I have some coupons as per limit coupon stated of some of the items. A manager name Jennifer stout (hopefully got her real name) came and asked if she can look at my coupons. Then asked where I got the coupons? I said, from the p&g website. Then she said, you have webpage reselling our stuffs, these stuffs. Your selling this items. I was kind of, HUH!? Webpage? I don't have a webpage. And then she said, you know that illegal to resell items using coupons? It's illegal to resell. She keep saying it few times with louder voice and with people around while I was carrying my baby who's taking a nap on my shoulder. I was stunned and couldn't say anything directly since English is not my first language. I told her I don't resell, I'm saving and I don't have webpage. She pulled her phone out of her pocket, open the Facebook and went through marketplace. How in the world that Facebook is my webpage. Thousands of people reselling stuffs and it's only me Asian woman she can find in there? A manager's work is stalking people in Facebook? Then she said, I took a screenshot of your profile. She then tried to looked on her gallery and said, once I saw it, we're not taking your coupons. I worked in this place before, and my husband said, anytime we can call a lawyer regarding company for sharing my personal information to employees coz it endangered my own safety and to my family.
She didn't find it so she then said, okay, I let you go through but once I found it will not take it. And the cashier started scanning the coupons, she then came back and showed my family picture profile (me, my baby and husband). Like she is showing it to others too. And I had those old items i sold was like 8 months ago. Hello! Old items that no longer used. She then said, we cannot take your coupons and they're taking items out from the cart, returned to the shelves. I had items that I wanted to buy with no coupons but, all I do walked out coz they're taking it back already.
What part of that was you being “molested”?
Also, if you had in fact resold some stuff why did u act so confused at the accusation? Regardless of whether or not the manager was in the right, it really seems like you should have known right away what she was referring to
A similar thing happened to me in Elizabethtown, KY. What action can be taken? I have made a review as well.
Like 9wood said seek illegal advice and I believe there is service called ethicspoint as well.
management
I am an employee of branch 594. In the last year I have been trained at cashier, courtesy clearing and self checkout attendant. My complaint is not about every member of management, just the assistant front end manager. She singles me out for every little mistake and seems to think I'm supposed to work with access to water, even outside. I don't understand why.
elimination of organic department, and too many kroger brands!
I've been shopping at Kroger since the 70s, but am feed up with the direction Kroger is going! You're beginning to look like Walmart and the way they are set up! NOT GOOD! I am shopping elsewhere now!
I have tried your Kroger brands...mayo for one, but there were so many air bubbles in it, that I wasn't sure about the proper measurement. NOW, you've got no organic department...it's now alcohol, and all the organic, very few I could find, were scattered around the store. In the sour cream cooler, you've got numerous Kroger brands, but only two competitors! Whatever happened to Mayfields, our local dairy farm? Bad business! I don't want to buy your brands! I do not feel I am getting the quality other companies give! It's stinks of favoritism...favor for you!
I refuse to be a part of a big conglomerate shoving small businesses into oblivion just for a buck!
Also, what Kroger management idiot decided couscous was a rice? It's a pasta and should be in that area!
I'm fed up, as are most of my friends! We now go to Trader Joe's or elsewhere!
delib. specific individual.
As I was scrolling on Facebook through people I may know I seen a little cartoon with a animated picture of a girl bent over and Skippy Shorts saying something in the nature of oh I'm naughty cutting this ham and then the lady who cuts the ham at the Kroger in Richmond Hill Georgia Jessica Morales said come and try me or something like that she was being just as naughty as the picture was and I found it very disturbing and if my 6 year old boy saw it's because he goes in there and he sees her and he likes her because she is nice but at times she does reek of marijuana I never wanted to say nothing at times she does have an attitude but when I saw the post that Drew the line for me.
the picture is a woman bending over a meat Cut Deli table with nothing but a I need for an on. And then the Deli clerk Jessica start stalking naughty back
The lady's name Jessica. Works at deli. Day hours.
management is worthless
I went to this Kroger's to pick up a few things. I bought some clementine oranges and after the fact realized there were several in the bag that were spoiled. There was absolutely no one at the customer service desk so I could get a refund. I asked one of the employees if any one worked the desk and she said she didn't know! I asked for a manager and she came back and said the customer service desk was closed. I asked for a manager again. At least three cashiers got on the loud speaker to page a manager... still no one. So I went through the check out line only to be told they can't do refunds?! So again I ask for a manager. During this time a manager by the name of Ruth came out of the office, stuck her head around the corner to look at the customer service desk where we were standing and turned around and went back in the office? I went over to the office door and pounded on it. No one answered. By this time at least 20 minutes had gone by. I was definitely not happy! Finally another manager comes out to help. Says they are extremely busy and they had to put all employees on cash registers. Yes, they were busy but why were two managers just sitting in the office?! If you're that busy I think the managers should be on the floor helping. After all Kroger's does say they like to provide excellent customer service. Hmmmm, so I ask this manager why Ruth just peeked around the corner and went back in the office without as much as a word like "is there something I can help you with?" Not one word was spoke by Ruth! The manager that helped me said well she may not know how to do a refund. Are you kidding me! Plus how did Ruth even know what help I needed. Absolute worst customer service ever! I will not shop in that Kroger's ever again, ever!
pharmacy service
On 8/24/18 my doctor sent Kroger pharmacy on Wessel Dr. a prescription for a lower dose for my thyroid medication. The reduction in the dosage was based on blood work. Too much thyroid medication causes a rapid heartbeat, diarrhea, irritable demeanor and insomnia, among other things. I was having these symptoms. My online Kroger account showed my prescription listed as in progress and not available for pick up until 8/27/18. Over a 15 year period, I have had multiple adjustments to my thyroid medicine dosage and have never had to wait 4 days to pick up a new prescription. I have always picked them up the day the doctor calls it in. I went to the pharmacy drive-up window on 8/25/18. I was told the wait was because it was a maintenance medication and that I had to wait until the next day, and because it was called it on a Friday, I had to wait until Monday (as if the pharmacy isn't staffed during the weekend). I told her I had never had to wait that long to get a refill when the doctor changes the dosage. She was very rude, repeating their policy. She then said she could refill the prescription, but I would have to drive around to the back of the line. Only one car was behind me and no other cars were in the other lane. I have picked up prescriptions from this Kroger pharmacy for several years and have never seen any customers drive around to the back of the line. After I drove around and was at the window again, my prescription was ready but she threw it down on the counter and gave me a nasty look whenever she needed to address me. She asked if there was a Plus Number. I told her it was the phone number listed on my account. She gave me another nasty look, refused to look it up and rung my order without entering the number or asking me to tell her the number. Rude and nasty! I pay full price for my prescriptions due to the insurance deductible. I guess Kroger thinks it is healthy for me to go several days with a rapid heartbeat, diarrhea, insomnia, etc. because refilling my "maintenance" prescription is a chore for them. I suppose they think I should stop my taking my medication, a hormone my body doesn't make anymore, and something my doctor would never recommend, until it is convenient for them fill my new prescription even though it took them less than 10 minutes to fill.
