30 days with broken refrigerator
30 days. Less then 1 year old. Purchased 5 year warrenty. Called 1 month ago aa it wasn't cooling. Took 2 weeks to come out. 1 week to show up. 1 day to break again and they admit they ordered wrong part. 2 weeks and still no working refridgerator. Who in Lowe's can go 30 days without a working refrigerator? How much food did I lose. How many meals did I have to buy because I couldn't buy groceries. Not until 30 days passed did any of your representatives tell me they might reimburse me if I rent one. Guess what lowes? I don't want to rent one. I want a working refridgerator to store milk and groceries in for my 3 boys. Do not reply to this complaint with telling me to list my itemized groceries. 30 days. Trust me when I say every media outlet. Every social network. Including BBB will be notified of this horrific customer experience.

Purchased GE Washer and Dryer from Lowes in Gulfport, MS in April of 2013 with an extended warranty. Repairman have been to my house at least 7 times for washer alone. Now I am calling a second time for the dryer. They still Do Not Work! If I where you I would not purchase the appliances or the warranty!
Read full review of Lowe'sremote control not working
I bought a ceiling fan from Lowe's, it was a Harbor Breeze fan see picture in closed. The remote control stopped working after two week. I replaced the batteries . They lasted 2 weeks before stopping This has been 4 months now and I have gone through countless amounts of batteries. Now the remote doesn't work at all. The control is just as expensive as the fan. They should replace the remote for free. I only had mine for two weeks and it went out I had to pay someone to install the fan and now Ill have to replace it and pay to have it removed and installed again but I promise you this it will not be a harbor breeze ceiling fan nor will I buy it from Lowe's . this is the ceiling fan that I have I also will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Maybe it to late but the remote control don't work
Same thing here...light is at least stuck in the off position. Fan works but only in one mode. Changed batteries no luck it's just dead.
Less than a year ago I bought Harbor Breeze fan- I didn't use it much-then one morning -remote turned on light and fan to full blast-and then nothing- I did press buttons with iPhone camera as suggested- it worked once- now nothing- REALLY my last fan- not Harbor Breeze - lasted 35 years- I thought I would get a really nice fan-I keep seeing the same complaint- I hired an electrician to put it in -so I can't " simply fix the short-I have to pay to have it fixed or taken down and replaced-not believing this-please fix the fan so others don't have to go through this- this is turning out to be a very expensive fan-THANKS
I posted a response about a month ago but it seems no one read it or paid much attention to it. Simply buy a can of electronic contact cleaner spray, open the battery compartment of the remote, spray the contact area of the buttons and 90% of the time your problem will be solved.
I just tried your solution, and it worked! Thanks.
Similar problem with the remote, it's not talking to the fan. Look at your warranty, lifetime on motor, 2 years on other components. We are taking ours back unless the remote is an easy replacement.
Same here. I bought Santa Ana a year ago for my rental property. The design is beautiful, and that is all the good comment I can write. It stopped working in two weeks. The renter naturally did not appreciate it. One year later, I am in the process to throw it in the garbage. What a waste! About $180 and used for less than 30 minutes.
i HAVE THE TEOLO HARBOR BREEZE FAN- SAME THING. REMOTE JUST STOPPED WORKING,
Same problem here. Brand new fan. Worked a few times but was unresponsive after a short while. Remote battery is good. I do hear a 'beep' sound when putting the wall switch on. Remote doesn't talk to the fan anymore. ugh!
I am having the same problem. The remote did work for a few weeks and then after turning on the fan, the remote would not turn it off. The only way to turn it off was to set the timer. Now the light is on and it won't go off. The remote is the only control. The battery is working because the red light blinks. The battery has been changed a couple of times. There is no one available to answer questions about this. The reset does not work either. The light stays on all the time and we are really inconvenienced by this. We bought this fan for the look and not the brand, so next time we will know better. If anyone has any answers, it would be nice if you would share your solutions.
racism
I called lowes in kalamazoo because I was told I qualified for a service were as a designer mes to your house to assist you with multiple projects. I called the lady, she was going to schedule me when suddenly she changed her mind and said she didn't have her calendar and that she was on her way into a meeting but she would call me back by 2pm, well she never did. I called the store manager to tell him what happened. Later that day or the next day this lady text me and said she was sorry but she had gotten busy. I didn't want anything to do with her but she ended up coming out on a friday. She said I knew her from years ago,. Any how she said give her until monday to get me a quote. I waited until wednesday and email her and she said later. Than the next day she sent this text:
: I have had no time yet thought i'd be able to get it yesterday but not. Today is shot as well. If you are able please give me a few more days, if not I understand
What does this mean. My perception, rude, disrespectful. Don't need my business.
I contacted lowes on saturday they said someone would call by tuesday, they didn't I feel this is raciallymotivated sorry that's how I feel.

no speak english...
We hired Lowes to do our roof and when the workers arrived, they were all of Mexican decent. I am not racist in any way, but when we tried to communicate with them, not one of them could speak English. I feel that Lowes should have made sure that at least one person could speak English! We had some legitimate questions, and I feel that Lowes didn't care that our questions would fall on deaf ears. I guess they figured it aan easier way to avoid us.They also worked at least 2 hours in complete darkness, and I am having to hire a different roofing company to evaluate their workmanship. I think it would be too easy to make a mistake, when working in complete darkness! ! If you are looking for a company that you can depend on, don't go to Lowes!
remote circuit board defective
Harbor Breeze Ceiling fan remote sucks. This is my third fan remote, you think I would know by the second one not to purchase it again. I don't recall the other 2 defective remotes but this one has a blue light that stays on and depletes the battery and no longer controls the fan variable speed. There is nothing wrong with the ceiling fan it self, just the remote.
Buyers of Harbor Breeze CUTE little fan remote beware.

IT WORKS NOW! That Remote is a little more complexed than it appears.
age discrimination
Today I was fired from Lowe's in West Bountiful Utah. Not a big surprise, even though I have been there nearly seven years and up until about six months ago I was a department manager. It has never been easy but once we got a new store manager about two years ago things started getting worse. The pressure to do more and more with less and less put me in a position where it was impossible to complete everything they wanted done with the number of people they provided. Their recourse is to call you into an upper managers office with two Assistant Store Managers present and outline the terrible job you are doing, then "Write You Up". Three such write ups in a year and you are gone. I opted to leave my department manager position when it became clear that I was being targeted for removal and agreed to become their Electrical Pro since they couldn't find one for the wages they offered. They left me alone for about the last six months until I forgot to use the safety goggles at a saw location and one of the assistant manager saw it and reported me. I am 69 years old. There have been four others over 50 targeted and fired over the past 10 months. Almost all the currant department managers are in their 20 or 30s. Several of them do little to nothing but they do know how to kiss up. They never seam to get written up. If you are over forty and not in upper management don't work for Lowe's. They are really big into age discrimination. They keep a couple of oldies around just to make it look good.

intolerable work conditions
I have worked for Lowes for 6months as a Delivery driver. In that 6months I have been treated very badly by my Department manager Ben.To start with we are suppose to go lightning speed to put out the most deliveries.Second the delivery schedule is so tight if you take a lunch or break you are barked at by Ben and told you are to slow.Third the 24 ft box...
Read full review of Lowe's and 1 commentnot leaving moving bolts of lg washer
I bought a brand new LG washer and dryer from Lowes, Jefferson City Missouri. They delivered the washer and dryer but never left the moving bolts. I am in the process of moving and need those moving bolts. When I addressed this with the clerk at the Jefferson City Lowes he had a very "don't care" attitude. I got no corporation from them and had to order the moving bolts myself. It cost me $21.00 for the bolts. The gentleman I bought the moving bolts from told me Lowes never leaves the moving bolts. I think it is a disgrace that Lowes will do this. What do they do with those bolts? I have a right to those moving bolts as they were part of the washing machine. I want Lowes to either send me those bolts or reimburse me for the bolts they took without my consent.
Those bolts are not useless they are required when you move the washer.
no service!
I simply want to inquire about a replacement blade and iron for a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan I purchased at Lowe's.Between Lowe's customer service, the customer service line to Harbor Breeze, which Lowe's was reluctant to provide, and the dearth of information available on the Harbor Breeze service website, I have received absolutely no assistance. I have been placed on hold twice for over 20 minutes each time with no human contact. The customer service rep at the local Lowe's barely spoke English and directed me to the electrical department when we were standing right in front of the fans/lighting department.
With this pitiful representation of customer service for what should be a simple part replacement., I can safely say I am through with Lowe's. Home Depot is also nearby and now I have a better understanding of why Home Depot's parking lot is generally full when Lowe's is empty.

flooring / stair installation
I have been a regular customer of Lowes for over 15 years and live in Elkhorn Nebraska which I consider part of Omaha. Anyway, I ordered $10, 000 worth of flooring along with installation. This also included 6 stairs leading from the front door to the main floor. The main floor has been beautifully completed by Midwest Flooring. They were also scheduled to...

My father had asked Lowe's in Logan UT to put up a chain link fence in his back yard. The person who was to do the job called us one day and said he wanted to get to work in a couple of days, the day before he was to come out we get a phone call from him saying he has to push back the project because his work mans comp was not up to date. Two weeks latter no phone call or nothing I call a manager at the Logan store and asked what's going on, We haven't heard anything from anyone in two weeks. The installer called us that day and said he would be out to see us early the next week. On Tuesday night at 6pm 5 days after the installer called us no phone call or nothing again. Latter on that week I had to call Lowe's again asking them what is going on? I also so told the Logan manger that there fence installer can not be trusted at all because he says one thing and does something else and that I wanted a different installer, They said he was the only one and that they would like to give be back my money some $4, 611.58. The next day when I went up to Logan to get my $4, 611.58 I walked up the customer service desk told them my name and that I was there for my refund. They didn't ask to see my driver's license or any paper work at all they just gave me back my $4, 611.58 in cash, And the manger didn't even have the nerve to face me. I could of been a bum living on the street and said my name is this and they would have given me all that money. And the kicker is the installer who can't be trusted who lost the company $4, 611.58 because he couldn't keep his word still has a job.
tile
Purchased tile, grout, sealer from lowes had a professional of 28 years but it down and seal the grout lines. The bathroom floor and kitchen had the same name brand grout but from 2 different stores 1 Lakewood nj 1 toms river nj the bathroom is fine but the kitchen is not, because I'm a women they are roughing me up..big time DISCRIMINATION. Don the manager from Toms River NJ and Joe Siberry from marketing director. They are blaming on the installer, the floor is not coming up nor is the grout. So why is it the bathroom floor is fine and the kitchen is not...Lowes told me to buy there mop which I did and still there's a problem. The one guy said use acid cleaner I said if that will hurt a animal I will not use it, they said they won't guarantee it. They ALWAYS point the blame on everyone else...well explain this bathroom floor fine..kitchen is not separate grout from 2 different store but same name...lot was different..STAY AWAY THEY BACK PEDAL

What is the problem you are having with the grout? It is not very clear in the statement what you need Lowe's to fix. If I know the issue I may be able to offer you some advice.
flooring
We went to Lowes to buy and install some indoor/outdoor carpet in our sunroom in August 2013. We are still dealing with the issues from this and it is now March 2014!
The carpet we chose was not in stock so we waited about a month for it to arrive and be installed. At first glance it looked great, however after a few days we noticed tufts coming out. Upon closer inspection there was a diagonal cut across the carpet, that we didn't immediately see because of the color of the carpet. We contacted them to let them know and it took 3 or 4 phone calls before someone came out to inspect and take photos.
We waited at least another 5-6 weeks for resolution or to at least be told what they were prepared to do. Eventually, after 2-3 months they replaced the carpet. However, this time there are glue stains all over the top of the carpet in one area and the carpet is stiff from glue in that area. Again, phone calls were made, someone came out to inspect, 4-6 weeks later they arrived to replace. This time they were sending one of their best installers. When the gentleman arrived, he told us that he did not have enough carpet to do it without multiple seams (more than previously) because they didn't order enough carpet. He couldn't use what was already fitted with the new carpet because of different dye lots. Again we called and Lowes basically argued with us about what the installer told us. As always, we got no apologies, no call backs, we basically had to chase them down for information. Finally, we were told we could wait again or get a refund. We opted for the refund. What is interesting though is, for all their ineptitude and lack of phone calls and lousy customer service while this was happening - we have already been contacted to schedule a time and date for them to take out the carpet. Interesting that when we needed communication and service we didn't get it, but now that they are ripping the carpet out, they couldn't be more efficient. Until they get installers that actually know what they are doing and staff that know what excellent customer service is, we will never ever shop there again. Kind of sad really, as we are currently working on improving 2 houses.

installs
I worked in the installed sales capacity for lowe's for 4 years. You will be a lot better off finding a local contractor with references to install anything in the lowe's categories of installation. Roofing, siding, gutters, windows, fencing HVAC, generators, flooring ect. If you just ask some store employees they can tell you who installs for lowes and most have a yellow pages ad or are in the phone book and have a better warranty than lowes offers. You will save big bucks. The lowes project specialist who comes to your home will talk about lifetime warranties on most installs when there is only a ONE YEAR labor warranty on anything they install and will throw you to the wolves after the one year warranty. You must then go through the frustration of contacting the manufacturer to get any satisfaction. Lowes simply hires out local contractors to do the work and adds 30 to 40% to the cost.
Another way to save money is to play the lowes game and schedule a in home appointment for an install ( it's free!) and tell them you want to meet the installer . There will be time during the measure to discreetly get his contact information (His phone number will probably be on the side of his truck) and after 30 days and after you tell them you found another installer ( say no so the installed sales person won't blow your phone up ) you can call the installer and have the install performed and save 30%. The materials will be the same and it will be the same installer so the peace of mind of getting a satisfactory install should be the same. " Think about it " Why would you pay lowes 30 - 40% more to get an identical install from he same installer with the same materials and who offers a much better warranty than lowes?
not honoring warranty
Never again will I purchase a product from Lowes. I purchased an extended warranty for my Frigidaire A/C and when the product quit working, I called the service line. Because the item was too big to ship and not big enough to send a service tech out, they were going to reimburse me and that I was to receive and email with details as to what I was to do. At the same time I had taken seriously ill. I had not received anything and called back again stating that it took a little while for it to come via email. Called back again a day later and told that it was being sent out via regular mail with a sticker that I was to put on an envelope and send my receipt in and they would reimburse me. I also explained to the person I spoke with that I was concerned as the warranty was expiring and was told not to worry as it was logged as to when I called so it would still be covered. After this, I had been hospitalized, had surgery, and have one of two specialists now. All the while never receiving anything from Lowes. Called back again (yes, a few months later) to inform them that I am still waiting to which I was told that because I did not respond to THEM in a timely manner, that they could no longer honor my warranty. I asked to speak with the supervisor Laura #154424, who told me that they only recorded 2 calls and that the computer doesn't lie. And that if I didn't receive anything, I should have called them back in a more timely manner (one week) and that they would not accept responsibility for not honoring the warranty. Interesting enough, she made a comment that on the "second call" an email had been sent out to the email they have on record but did not repeat the email addy to me. After hearing about issues with Lowes warranty protection, I will save myself the hassle and loss of funds by no longer purchasing a product from them. I will also make sure that those I know who are looking to purchase appliances to stay away from Lowes as they do not seem to have an honorable warranty system in place.

non compliance with service agreement
I bought a troy built pony from Lowes about 6 months ago. It's failed twice. I also had the so-called service agreement. Never once did they pay up. First time they claimed it was my fault for using gas with ethanol. Well they never said anything about not using ethanol juiced gas until AFTER I bought the mower. I started using the non-ethanol gas even though I have to drive 5 mi to find a non-ethanol gas source. Didn't keep receipts, so when the transaxle fails they give me the same song and dance about not using ethanol and I can't prove them wrong so I am screwed again. I thought using ethanol gas was good for the environment? Isn't forcing people to look around for non-ethanol gas an EPA violation? Somebody needs to put this company down for good, legally that is. What about a class action suit against Troy and Lowes? Lowes sells garbage and de-frauds their customer’s worst than any store I've ever shopped at. If I were you I would steer clear of anything with the name on it.

carpet installation
Spent $1700 on carpet for our living room. Had free install for buy Stainmaster carpet and padding. This was installed on the 20th of Sept. On Sept 28th, we noticed the seam down the middle of the living room. We called Lowes, said they would get a work order in. On the 30th, called Lowes again, the lady said it had been turned in and should hear from the installers that day. Today is Oct 2nd and I just called Lowes again. They said they would have someone call me today. They got their money and now they are running. They better run fast cause my attorney told me if they do not call me back today as promised, he'll take care of everything, including correct installation and money back for the trouble. By the way, this is the Lowes on Emerson Ave. Beech Grove, IN
I ordered carpet April 21st, 2022, it was supposed to be a 72 Hour Program Install. Today is June 4th, 2022. I had to go thru corporate Lowes HR to file a complaint. My carpet became unavailable and I had to choose a new carpet and now due to problems with Servpro Installers, I am put off now until June 27th. Lowe's has my money, the Installer, Servpro has my carpet and I can do nothing but wait until they find new people. I warn anybody ordering from Lowe's in the Beckley, WV or Lewisburg, WV area to go somewhere else.
Among the worst...
we just had carpet installed last week our installers were keller interiors and the mexicans they sent could not speak english when my wife showed them of the multiple problems they just smiled and left now we are arguing with lowes on these problems i would not recommend lowes to buy toilet paper to wipe my ###.
we had the same problem with tnhe installers do you know the name of the installers ours was done 3 years ago and they have replaced our carpet once and still having problems
suboptimal warranty protocol
bought my house in 2007 brand new with new fans...had a harbor breeze fan motor start making grinding sound. i checked and tightened screws on fan blades next turned it on to see if sound was fixed...it was not. Next i took the light kit off and the blades and ran the fan with just the motor the sound was still there. I tried to oil the motor but with no avail. Called lintex industries who i guess takes care of this problem. They said i could ship it back at my own cost and if there was something wrong with it they would fix it or send me a knew motor. They said i must send the light kit back as well (increased shipping weight for no reason). I asked how long it would take to get the replacement which the rep said 3-6 wks. I said that seems a little excessive, i will be without and light and a fan. He didnt seem to care much b/c im sure his works fine :o). Anyways i said this policy seems to deter anyone from ever making a claim. He says sir if we paid to ship back everyones product we couldnt sale the fan for 150 dollars...at which point i said is it a common problem to have to replace the fan motor in 6 or 7 years? He says no. So i guess his point of having to do it all the time is a mood point. I asked if Hunter fan had a similar warranty procedure...he says well they will do a one time fan replacement then wash their hand of the situation. He acted as if that was a bad thing. I said that sound logical, they cover the warranty on the item you bought...they replaced it. I dont expect them to continue to replace a replacement. I have 5 fans in my house if i am replacing the motor on each one every so often that will get expensive...at least hunter honors it up to one time. I asked the representative a question...If lowes sales this product why cant a complete the warranty claim thru them for an expedition of the process...I am not very happy with harbor breeze warranty, beware.

late charges
I make monthly payments on a Lowe's purchase thru "BillPay" offered by my bank Advantage Bank. Each payment is due the 15th of the month. I make my payment every month to arrive at Lowe's/GECRB by the 14th of each month. The last 3 months I realized I have been charged a $35.00 monthly late fee They GECRB, informed me that they are not receiving the check until a day or 2 later hence, the late charges. That's totally bull %@^%. I called my bank who informed me that CECRB is receiving the check a day or 2 early and that they won't take an electronic funds transfer, but want a physical check. Now I know why. After about 4 hours of my time they did reverse the late fees. I figure that they take in hundreds of millions of dollars this way by these unethical business practices.
Any class action law suits against GECRB? I'll join.
That's exactly what I'm doing going forward with GECRB only to avoid the hassles. I have been using Checkfree and Billpay for many years to pay creditors, on the due date and never had any issues. If I owe you money and give it to you on the day it is due then I have lived up to my end of the deal and it's not my business if it takes you 3 days to "process the payment" .
