I ordered a washing machine on 12 Nov 2022 and even today I'm still waiting for my order. I tried calling the courierDPD Laser) but they are arrogant and not giving me a way forward on specific dates of delivery. my order number is MaK4010309 and way bill number is MK187909427
I need the washing machine delivered as requested and I believe the order number and waybill number should give u more information regarding this order.

I ordered a 26l cooler box online with makro on the 22nd of November 2022 Tuesday and i was notified that it will be delivered on 23 November Wednesday and it never made it no communication from makro about what's happening and why i didn't get my ordee even today am struggling to get through as i no longer want the product and would like a refund am not happy with how they handle things at all as am trying to get through their customer service and am being made to wait hours with no one to help me

Purchasing of laptop
I bought a Labtop Acer at Makro aboutend of August 2022 after a month the labtop just went dead would not turn on so I took it back and they said I can exchange it which I did and took a Proline V14682 notebook on the 30.09.2022 invoice nr353 unique ref nr [protected]. After I got home a few days after I could not make out the serial number on the back of the notepad but because it was working fine it was not a bother. On the 8.11.2022 when I wanted to switch on the notepad nothing happened. O the 9.11.2022 I went to Makro Nelspruit store to return it but at the returns counter the lady said it can not be replaced and I need to phone a number which I was given as the notepad need to be repaired I was confused and asked to speak to the manager that explained the same as the lady I then asked him but why did you replace the prevouis labtop after 1 month which he replied to that depends on the make of the device. I went back to work without a working labtop now because I am using it for my work and then contacted pinnacle and the number I was given to be told that this is a wrong number and another number wss given and they gave me instructions to follow for repairs.
I do not normally complain but this is a poor service I did not do anything wrong I kept the device exactly as I should but this is bad customer care I will think again before spending my money at Makro if this is the way they treat customers.

I want my appliances delivered asap.
I ordered a fridge and washing machine online, I was told in store I had to order it online because it was to be delivered to another city and that I could select a delivery date online.
I could not select a delivery date online so I called and requested the items be delivered on the date I wanted, I was told that would be done. They then attempted delivery the following day and the day after that. To an apartment nobody was at.
When the fridge came on the day I requested, it was damaged so I refused it. I was told I would get a new fridge the next day, nothing came. I called the call center and they said the store was striking, and they don't deliver on Sundays so it would be delivered on Monday. Monday comes I don't get any communications, no email or sms, I call again, they say it out for delivery, 2pm comes around and still nothing, I call again they say I should get it by 4:30, I wait nothing comes, I call at 4:30, they say they can't get hold of the courier and the store is not giving them any updates, I say if they are going to deliver the next day, Tuesday, it needs to be done after 3.
Tuesday comes no communication, I call at 1pm, they don't know what's happening can't even tell me if it's being delivered, they say they will request an update, 3 pm comes I call again, they say there is no response, I ask for the number for the store my fridge is coming from I call and ask for a manager, the say they will call me back and ask for my details. It's been hours I haven't been called.
Due to their mistakes I haven't been able to by perishable groceries and can't cook be cause I have nowhere to put my food, I can't have any frozen foods either. I call and complain and ask for something to happen or to be informed and nothing happens, they request and update, nothing comes. It seems like my order has just been put in the corner and forgotten.
This has been the worst service I have ever experienced, and really didn't expect it from such a large company, it's despicable and has caused me no end of stress just after moving to a new city.

I purchased a Fridge in May and kept it packaged until October 7th. On October 7th I unpackaged the item and there was a big dent on the side of the Fridge.
I called in to get assistance and I sent an email which NOONE has come back to me about. I had to call in multiple and when I eventually got through I was told about the 14 days policy. I fully understand the policy, however I was not told to open the fridge and inspect the fridge upon receiving the fridge. I left it in its original packaging trusting that Makro and Defy's products were of a high quality.
The defy technician was sent out and said that he cannot do anything because the delivery was done by Makro, Alberton and therefore they should be held responsible.
This is absolutely terrible service because whoever packaged the fridge damaged the fridge and now Noone from Makro or Defy is willing to assist.
The technician said that the fridge should have been unpackaged in front of me to ensure that everything was in order.Clearly Makro staff from Alberton is not conducting the necessary protocols when delivering their items.
Bad service and damaged products are unacceptable!

Trojan spinning bike
The bike was purchased in August (Makro Online / Crown Mines), we noticed a fault with the bike and logged an exchange early September. To date, we are still sitting with a faulty bike. Numerous calls were made to the customer support centre with no joy.
We were always promised that people from Trojan will be coming out however this hasn't been the case.
Desired outcome: For the bike to be exchanged for 1 with no faults.
Pathethic Makro Service and Delivery
Hi I have made an order on 23/24 September 2022. I have been told every single day since the 27th that my order will be delivered the exact day. However, when I call Makro they make excuses that my order is scheduled for delivery the following day (basically blame the courier) and when I call the courier servcie they tell me that Makro cant locate my order and asked them to reschedule
I am tired and frustrated wasting my air time and effort trying to get my order delivered to me. Note tha this order was a birthday gift and is already late. I have been purhasing from the Makro online store quite often in the last few months (expensive items) and I can ensure you that after this patheic service - I WILL NOT BE PURCHASING FROM MAKRO AGAIN. I will ensure that I escalate this further as well

Yesterday i went to Makro Woodmead to buy groceries, and this morning when i checked my slips, i was overcharged on a few items that were on special
Koo Chakalaka x50 Charged R63.75 (13.75)
Beef stock 2x24 =R40 charged 43.50 (3.50)
Korn bites x 5 =60 charged R77.25 (17.25)
And i was complained about this and they said i must come to the store this is cost/time effective for errors that are made by cashiers.

I placed an order on 27th July 2022. The order was not delivered despite the ETD of 2-5 days as advertised. I made multiple calls following up on the order and was sent from pillar to post.
Almost two months down the line i still do not have my order nor my refund. I am still calling the online number provided and the response is the same all the time "THE MATTER WILL BE ESCALLATED AND THE RELEVANT DEPARTMENT WILL CONTACT YOU".

I placed an order with makro online two weeks ago and have not received my order. I get emails for days saying my order is with the couriers and will be delivered and have received nothing. MAKRO (DEFY Dishwasher)

Since November I have been complaining about my defy dishwasher, (about 7-8 logs with Makro).Eventually a "new" machine was brought to me, which seems older that the previous machine and my warranty runs out when the original one expires.
I wanted a refund as the GM of Makro was made aware of.
I did not ask for another Defy. what good is an appliance if i have to be handwashing a large part of the wash.
As a customer, I expect to have some say in the matter, considering that, as you are aware, I did NOT ask for another Defy. Your phone/email records will reflect that I wanted a refund, so that I could buy another brand, and this would have ensured that i would finally have NOTHING to do with defy at all.
Instead we got a call from a driver/technician that he will be at our premises in about 10/15 minutes with another machine.
(incidentally, I have never seen a new machine that leaves a puddle of water on the floor. this is what happen when he lifted this new machine to place it into position.) the door seems to be missing something as it is shaky & there are gaps on the left side. Is this a NEW machine or what?
We have been experiencing problems for close to a year. We definitely do not want to start this weary process again, & to compound this matter, this time with no warranty.
Please can we have a refund to purchase a brand of our choice from Makro.

Makro Gift Card balance
I received a Makro Gift Card with my Vodacom cellphone upgrade on Sunday 28/08/2022. The gift card was for R4 500. I have used a large portion of the card, but accidently threw away the slip for the last purchase and is not sure of the amount spent and the remaining balance on my gift card. I needed it to update my budget for the end of September.
I followed the instructions on the back of the gift card to obtain the available balance on my card, but none of the numbers are operational by the looks of things. I sent two sms's to 34543 with my gift card number, but still have not received a response.
I then tried to call the number [protected], but it seems this number is also incorrect. I called the customer service number [protected]) at the back of the card, but was told that they are not able to assist me.
I then called the Wonderboom branch of Makro, where I received the card, but was informed that they can't provide me with the balance on my card telephonically and I have to go to the branch to get a balance. This means that I have to drive 8 km, with today's high petrol prices, just to get a balance on my gift card, so that I can complete my budget for end of Sept.
I find this utterly ridiculous. Makro should please make sure that clients are able to view their balances on line or that the information on the back of the cards are correct to obtain a balance.

Service at Makro Springfield Park
I applied for a new card online. My application was successful and i was sent an SMS to collect my card at Springfield Park. I arrived only to find they had run out of cards. The lady i spoke to at the new applications desks says it was the fault of the courier. My problem was, that they know my location and which store i was more likely to go to. Or even send out a general msg that Springfield Park does not have cards. I feel that was so unprofessional and then to be told to go to another branch. I do not own a vehicle and rely on public transport. On the day, the store manager, Leon was there and he instructed the Customer Desk Personnel to take down my details(which they did) and make a plan to contact me on the way forward or at least deliver the card to me. To date no one contacted me until i went to the same store again on 27/08/22. Hlengiwe was on duty and my application had expired. She redid my application and i waited instore almost 2 hours. The matter was escalated by a manager and finally, after i left the store again, i got the message online. I went back on 28/08/22 where everything was finally done and i got my card. I am just disgusted that i this terrible experience and service that i received. I cannot fault Hlengiwe or Leon who genuinely helped. In my line of work if this had happened we would have made every effort to deliver. a customers vehicle to them wherever in the country. I just needed to bring to your attention this unfortunate turn of events.

Online order - cancellation and refund
Refer order number MAK 3321103 for a value of R 899. I placed this order in November of 2021 as stock showed availability. I kept on following up and stock was not available. Eventually I cancelled the order on the 31st of December as it was supposed to have been for Christmas gifts.
After a few phone calls I was advised that a refund had been processed on the 7th of January 2022. I could not find the refund on my credit card statement, which is the account you have on record and from which I paid from for the order.
After receiving no joy, I eventually visited the Makro Strubens Valley branch and went to acquire about the refund again. I received a reference number 2279689 and Makro maintained that the refund was done on the 7th of January 2022 according to your records and I was requested to produce a bank statement to prove the contrary. I am attaching copies of my credit card statement for the months of December 2021 and January 2022 on which you will see the initial purchase but no refund at all. I now expect the refund as a matter of urgency. Website does not allow me to add jpegs so please send me an email address and I shall supply the bank statements in pdf
