makro sale - up to 70% not when I tried to buy item on sales table
I tried to buy a Wildberry white toilet seat with duckboard which was on a sale table with a banner `up to 70%`. Item was not priced so I tied for 1 hour to get a price, everybody looked for somebody who was not there, eventually I was given a name and told to go to the till, that person would be able to tell me what the sale price was. The till operator did not know the person ` a zulu name` so she called Snothile Ngwenya how tried for 30 minutes to get help, he said he was looking for Vernon Chetty who was nowhere to be found, , eventually he got through to a Hazel and asked her if he could give me 50% off the scanned price she refused and offered R100 discount - completely contra to the banner on the table, in my opinion the Makro Sale Table is FALSE ADVERTISING

extended micro-oven warranty

I bought my micro-oven (Samsung 32l grill microwave silver) around 2014 february and also bought extended warranty (5years) so the warranty is still valid till 2019 february. I booked it for the first time in johannesburg, woodmead in january for repair and it successfully repaired but it only worked for over 3 months and went faulty again. So I booked it again but this time it was not fixed because the supervisor told me that they found dead cockroaches inside the micro-oven for that reason the extended warranty was voided and was canceled.
I explained to him that I don't have cockroaches at my house, makro can go to my house if need assurance, asked him what if the cockroaches went into my microwave under their care because no one opened it when I brought it in and he said there have been there for more than 6 months.
If they were there in january when I first booked it in why did they fix it and not mention any cockroaches. Please help me. Repair ref (2436081)

Myself and a co-worker turned around at Makro Polokwane's tills today for the 4th time in a matter of 2 months as we could not pay for the goods we wanted to purchase because the speedpoints are not working. We went over the street to other shops and there was no problem paying with the same bank cards so the problem could not be that the banks are offline. I really wonder how much money and sales are lost due to this problem at Makro. Most people today do not walk around with lots of cash on them to avoid being robbed. This is really a problem and seems to be a constant problem.

Makro special offered a j1 samsung cellphone for r1449, we drove to the store with an excitement to get the cellphone to our surprise we were told that the special was a printing error the cellphones actual price is r1949 and there were posters on the floor with apologies for the inconvienance and i don't understand why would this affect the client and not the store taking accountability and giving us the phone of the price advertised ..Makro is now plotting that the cellphone is out of stock as that's the easiest way of getting out of the mess created ...I am not impressed of such behavior as i used my time and petrol to drive all the way for such sick service.
10" vodafone tablet 24 month contract
On Thursday 8/12/16 our local news paper had a Makro advertisement inside. They advertised this vodaphone tablet bundle. 10" tablet 24 month contract for only 89 per month plus 500 megs included. And it stipulated clearly that this deal start on the 9 th of December 2016.
I stay 50 kilometers from the shop. Leave work early, short time and drove to Makro to do the deal. When I got there, the lady told me that the stock has not yet arrived from their suppliers.
This is very poor from Makro side. The manager himself, wasn't much of help either.
I have now lost 4 hours from work. and has driven 100 kilometers and lost R 100 on fuel.
I am very disappointed in that branch

I order products on the 27th of November 2019 from the Makro online store. Estimated delivery date was 7 to 10 working days. After 7 times contacting the support centre no feedback could be given for even of delivery would be made, promising every time I would recieve a callback. Tried to cancel but that even that seems impossible task for Makro.

I ordered 2 Raleigh Bikes on 27 November 2019, only 1 bike was delivered and today being 12 December 2019 i still have not received the other bike. The Call center can only escalate the incident however nobody from Makro can assist. I will never purchase Online from these guys every again...poor, poor service
I waited atleast 30 minutes before they can help me and no one was interested to let me know why I couldn't be helped at the till cause I bought shoe as and someone had to change them . I'm very upset about this issue cause I had to run around in the shop to look for the manager that was no where to be found near the tills

When I received my delivery email I noticed that I was charged full price for R100 deals. I phoned the call centre and they said the catalogues are not applicable to online. This is unacceptable as you will see from the attached screen dump.
The above amounts to false and misleading advertising.

2 x gopro hero for r2499.00
On Saturday the 29th of October I purchased 2 gopro hero's which were bundled together and marked for 1 price of R2499.00, when I get home which is 2 hours away in phalaborwa I find that one of the boxes does not have a camera in it just the accessories . I had to drive back the next day to collect my other camera the person in charge of that department says it was only supposed to be 1 for that price. I disagreed because I asked other staff about it and they confirmed it was 2 for that price and makro being a huge chain store part of the Walmart group they cannot mislead and falsely advertise to customers. I further spoke to the floor manager Piet Moekwena and he then confirmed it was a mistake on their side, he agreed that I will get both for the price I paid which is R2499.00. This was fine until he found out that the box of the 2nd camera is R4800.00 and he said he will have to get higher authority to release it to me but he will definitely do so and deliver it to me on Thursday the 3rd of November in which I wasn't happy but I accepted anyway and he said I should trust him that I will receive it. Piet did contact me yesterday the 31st of October and informed that everything was still fine he then phoned me today 1st of November to let me know that he will not be giving me the 2nd gopro due to reasons that made no sense because he had already assured me of the delivery and accepted the wrong advertising . I then phoned his store General Manager, Thabo and queried the situation. The GM had no sense of customer service and gave me a stiff attitude as if I was wrong in claiming that their staff had incorrectly priced and informed me of the items price. He refuses to accept that makro polokane was wrong in packaging both gopros together and giving me the customer what I saw it advertised for. I am extremely disgusted in how makro Polokwane can lie and cheat its customers out of false advertising and just hope to get the situation resolved.

I bought a lawn mower at Makro centurion on the 15th of July and it was broken the next day without even cutting 50sqm. My problem is when I bought the mower i was told by the sales lady that if anything happens to the mower it would be replaced for the next 2 years but when I returned the mower 15 days later they refused to fix or replace I got a quote to pay R1300 plus. Now Im talking to both Ryobi and makro and non of them are helpful.
debit card being cloned
Just want to inform you that my debit card was cloned on 4 September 2016 at 11h59 at till nr 29, invoice nr 514 and cashier nr 162 according to the Fraud investigation findings from Standard bank. A few fraudulent transactions then took place and I had to stop all my cards. This caused a lot of an necessary inconvenience for me as I had to take a days leave at work to resolve the issue. The incident took place at Makro vaal, please check your cashiers for interaction with any suspicious individuals who might be exchanging any form of device or of the sort.
dstv package including the installation
I went to Makro Wonderboom on the 4 August 2016, i bought the DSTV with installation package, they said i must use this number and arrange the installation, after many calls to your installation people, my DSTV is still not installed, today 8 August 2016 they tell me theres no stock, Why must i make all the calls, why do they give me reference numbers and contact numbers to that is off and not working and when i call them again they tell me theres no stock, they must find now somebody else and how longs that gonne take? This does not give your company a good name because i bought the product from you now i must struggle with these people to come out and do the installation thas not even happening and everyone at home cant watch tv. This is bad service, I wish i havent listened to the people and should have just went straight to Multichoice self. I must make arrangements before they can go out, now i must struggle just to get service out of your people, after all of this would you really think i must tell people to go to your store?

I purchased ON LINE. i saw it was wrong,I called in to cancel it. I was told it would canceled, and be refunded. the courier came to deliver the CANCELED parcel, it was not accept. I have called almost every day to find out where's my refund. I am promised it is marked URGENT, Then it's escalate it to the supplier.Then it's marked URGENT again.
