With reference to the above mentioned order number, i would hereby like to express and convey my dissapointment in the customer services of your company.
Regardless of commiting to a peace offering which never prevailed, i am disgusted by the poor communication skills of your customer services representitives.
To blatantly ignore several attempts of communication (telephonic & enail) from me the customer after you guys slip up and cannot deliver something i had paid for nearly 2months ago.

meat beef patties
Good afternoon
My husband purchased beef patties from Makro Silverlakes on Thursday 04/01. The packaging says keep refrigerated and use by 08/01.
I wanted to make the patties this afternoon and to my disgust, there is mould around the patties.
Thank goodness I checked the patties before I made them.
Please advise if Makro will either reimburse the money and exchange the product.

I bought 3x cases of non alcoholic castle online and made payment on 17.12.2017. When I checked it reflected I didnt pay. I sent an email with proof of payment. Got a reaponse on 21.12.2017 from bonole matsolo saying she's attending to the matter. After another few days I sent another mail asking for progress and received a response from her on 27.12.2017 that the money has been allocated however there was no stock. I responded by wanting a different brand of non alcoholic beer and was told today 28.12.2017 that they don't have any other non alcoholic beer available but when I checked they had Becks. They now sent me a mail for a refund withouteven trying to compensate me for my time spent on this matter and thinking about the costs involved by me having to call and mail them for answers and even the amount of time it took. I was also now told to send yet again the proof of payment and bank details. Totally unacceptable and terrible customer service. Will let all my family and friends know about makros horrible service.

good day .
i am very annoyed due to the poor stocks makro stores seem to keep .
the above item went on sale on tuesday 19th for 3000.
the very next day i call both amanzimtoti and Springfield both places are already sold out early in the morning .
i kept calling in as i left my details with both the managers to be contacted when stock comes in .
i have not gotten any feedback till date, the amanzimtoti branch a guy by the name of calvin says the stock is gone missing and until they find it they wont be getting any more stock .
this is really unprofessional and false advertising of this product when neither of the stores even have the stock ?
i would like feedback on this .

appliances not delivered
I ordered a fridge, stove and microwave on the 23rd of Nov' 17 (MAK705446), for a new place in Richards Bay. I requested that the delivery be made between the 4th and 8th as I hadn't relocated as yet, so no one will be there to accept it. Received a phone call informing me that I will get the order on the 6th, due to no stock. on the 6th no delivery, I call, and they tell me they will have to move my order to another store, thus was moved to Centurion, but they cannot promise when they will deliver. On Monday the 11th I received an sms informing me that I will receive delivery within this week, and should track my order on their site. I log on and it shows order is complete. On the 13th I give them a call but cannot go through. I then decide to call centurion store, and was told I have collected my order on the 11th.
I am so frustrated and angry, staff is not professional, cannot get through when you call as system is congested by all people enquiring bout their orders, staff promises to call back but they don't and worse of all, I've made the payment but don't have the goods. Read on news about people complaining bout makro online, this was my first and last time buying from makro. I had to survive on takeaways as I don't have a fridge to store food, and no stove to cook. all the appliances and furniture I bought from other stores has been delivered, but not Makro.

I ordered and paid for my patio sets on the 2017/11/29.
1. price advertised online is not the price I was charged - Makro wont honor the advertised price - "inadvertent and obvious error" clause in their terms and conditions
2. MakroOnline.[protected]@makro.co.za - do not respond to emails, so why have have this facility
3. still no delivery - there is no stock - 2017/12/06 - at time of placing order, there was stock
4. no updated communication from Makro - 2017/12/13

Your wonderful service and understanding in getting my order sorted out and delivered on the 16th December 2017. Even the offer to loan me your own personal patio set till the new year as I had overseas visitors and my IN-LAWS coming over on the week-end.
The fact that you took the time out of what I can imagine was a very hectic period to make one phone call to me (I just happened to be in the shop at the time), coming down to the shop floor to personally see me and discuss the problem with the items on my order. We then looked at alternative chairs and within 30 minutes, everything was sorted. You even arranged that Makro honour the price on the Modikwa wicker set. You then promised to make delivery on the 16th, I was very sceptical as I knew it was a public holiday, but my furniture did arrive as promised.
Massmart could definitely do with more staff like you.
Thank you once again for the wonderful service, and yes, I did spend and will be spending allot more money at Makro Vaal.

Hi I have been trying to get through to online orders for 2 days. I keep getting told I am being transferred to the tracking department. I get to hold on for last time 15 minutes and then get cut off or get cut off immediately. Can somebody please call me back regarding my online order. I emailed them yesterday and have still not had a reply.

I have placed an online order on 22 November 17. The order is MAK690575. The order number arrived on the 23 Nov and by I already bought the Items I ordered online.
I want to be cancelled and refunded. From the 23 Nov I have been requesting for the order to be cancelled but my request is not being actioned.

I ordered a tv online on the 23rd of November. They said delivery will take 5 working days. After the 5 working days when I still haven't received the tv I phoned the support line and the lady said it will be delivered the next day or the day after that. This past Tuesday, 5 December I phoned again because the tv was still not delivered and the lady said I must give them change until Thursday 7 December. On Thursday, 7 December I phone once AGAIN and the lady said she can see the status says ready for collection and I said I'm not collecting I paid a delivery fee and she said no for the courier company and I know it does not take so long for a courier company to collect something. I then asked her so what must I do, just sit and wait for them and her reply was YES! Wich I think is highly unprofessional of her as they said delivery will take 5 working days and it's already 12 days that I'm waiting. After I spoke to her I phoned a different number and explained everything again and told him about the lady who said I must wait... he then asked me to stay on the line as he is phoning the store. After few minutes he said he did speak to someone at the store and they will phone me back. Today is 8 December, still no tv and still no one has contacted me back. My order number: MAK702506.

I placed and paid for an online order with Makro online on 26 Nov 2017. Order number MAK740280 . I then emailed 10 days later and received no reply (online.[protected]@makro.co.za) and [protected]@makro.co.za. I phoned their online helpline [protected] as well as [protected] and was hung up or never answered- I did this 5 times. Today is the 07 of Dec 2017 and I am still not in possession of my items and am unable to get any response from Makro on what is happening or been refunded.

Had to follow up on Alberton branch again today(07/12/2017) still hearing the same story about waiting for the courier to collect, was even asked if i could come collect the items- how's that for the convenience of ordering online and saving you time.Worse of all, these items were meant to be gifts for people to give before I go on vacation next week, and i don't see it happening, thanks to Makro Alberton store.Up to this moment, still no word about my delivery.Very, very poor servic!

I purchased almost r50k worth of prizes for a company incentive on the 15th november. Payment was done by the 17th november. It is now 14 working days later and still no delivery has been made. I have contacted the call centre and even lerato who is the national customer services manager at head office. She has been absolutely no help, not even the decency to respond to my emails or calls. Has been promising me delivery since wednesday 29th november. Told me the stock is coming from the centurion branch and that they are not doing their job. When I track my order online... Last week it reflected my order was cancelled. This week I cannot even log in to check my order. It is like my online profile and login has disappeared completely. I am trying to contact someone... Anyone... And no one answers their phone. And here I sit not even knowing if I will ever get my stock?

I ordered a freezer from the Makro website thinking that it would be delivered quickly (2-5 days). It has been 8 days and it has not arrived.
I received an email saying that they are experiencing delays in processing their orders - why didn't you tell me this at checkout before wasting my time.
You can't get hold of them on the phone.
They don't respond to emails.
At this stage I just want a refund.
These guys suck.

I gave a hoover wet&dry vacuum cleaner in on 4 nov 2017. We purchased it before from Makro. It was giving a burny smell when used. I was helped by Lindiwe Mnguni who said maybe it just needs a service- it will be given in- i will get a quotation within the 2nd week of giving it in . I received only 1 sms that makro took it in . To date i received no quotation .
50 phone calls later...After i spoke to lindiwe, mongezi, annelie and eventually a Bonto in marketing on 4 december.
No ONE can still tell me where the vacuum cleaner is.
I was told that they will go find out, .. i was told they don't know where it is. I was told they will find out and let me know...And so on and so on ..And so i am still waiting just to hear if it has been found or not as it is not at the repair company and it cannot be found..How much longer or how many more calls will it take to find out anything...This is very poor service as not one of these people have actually made the effort to phone me back

I did an online order on 24th Nov-for collection. Its been 10 days, numerous calls to Springfiels Makro - they all go unanswered. 7 calls to your call centre & many conversations with many MANY people (Shipo, Jenny, Sharon...) "getting right on it & calling me back". After 3 more calls apparently there are ZERO managers on duty in the Makro call center. NONE ZERO ZIP no one higher than an operator works there. Many promises of Jeany Folds calling me back etc.. the list goes on and on... The levels of lying by your agents & complete disregard for my purchase is disgusting.
Guess what?
NOT 1 word that my order is ready & NOT 1 phone call returned. The service I have received it of an extremely poor quality and this is not the first time I have had to change online orders for weeks - even been told that there is no more stock available after weeks have passed.
You have my money, I dont have my products - that is theft.

While there may be a large number of orders to full that does not explain why there is ZERO feedback, ZERO notification that my order will be delayed. When I call the call center (which i have done 12 times) and an consultant promises that they will call be back with confirmation of delivery - there is ZERO call back. I have called the store numerous time with the same non result - as either no one answers the phones or the managers are "out at the moment" all the time.
It is now the 12 December - which makes my order 2.5 weeks old and I still have not received a single email, sms or phone call with regards to my order. You have my money & I do not have my product, what you have committed is fraud - you took my money and have not delivered the item within the 5-7 working days as per your terms an conditions. Your companies lack of commitment to my self and the hundreds of others in the same situation shows a lack of business ethics. You should not have online sales if you cannot fulfill orders as this poor service is through out the year not just at peak times. Oh and marking my request for delivery on Facebook as spam to cover your poor delivery performance, is disgusting.

Reading every review over the Black Friday period is an absolute disgrace. People pay thousands to hope to receive their items in a timely manner.
Makro doesn't care to respond or follow through with a positive outcome to resolve most of the clients requests.
Makro is going to be left with a tarnished reputation after this. But at this rate, it doesn't look like they care.
And yes, I am a disgruntled customer still waiting for my order too !

On the 24 Nov 2017 I purchased a PS4 online I received a message that says payment successful (see attached) and I called on Monday 27 (makro silverlakes)and I was advised that the most important thing is the MAK number. I was told I will receive an SMS for collection to my surprise when I visited Makro on the 29 Nov 2017 im now told about 48 hours. I have proof dat there was money in the account. This has broken the promise to my son, I am a bad parent now.
Can i please be treated like a customer who followed all the process and be given the order I placed.

I Mr S.J.Boyce ordered the 24" Totem black and yellow bicycle for my son on the 22nd of November 2017.I paid R1999.00 for the bike plus R70 delivery fee via Internet banking.I do have proof that shows I paid R2069.Nobody at Montague Gardens Makro can tell me when will I receive my order.They don't even know the exact location of my order.All they do is asking me to phone the online support line.Online support terminated my call, or put me on hold for up to 10 minutes.I want the bike before the end of this week.If this is how you do business I will not deal with you ever again.Takealot is one million times better and more professional than you.

I will love to share my testimony to all the people in the forum cos I never thought i will have my girlfriend back and she means so much to me. The girl I want to get marry to left me few weeks to our wedding for another man. My girlfriend called me at exactly 12:35pm on Thursday and apologies for all she had done. She said, she never knew what she was doing and her sudden behavior was not intentional and she promised not to do that again. It was like am dreaming when I heard that from her and when we ended the call, I called the man and told him my girl friend called and he said I haven’t seen anything yet… he said I will also get my job back. And when its Sunday, they called me at my place of work that I should resume work on Monday and they gonna compensate me for the time limit I have spent at home without working...My life is back into shape have my girlfriend back and we are happily married now with a baby boy and I have my job back too. whirlpool front loader washing machine
I ordereda Whirlpool washing machine online & while I was finishing off the payment, a message popped up to say there was an error with my order, but take note the money went off my accout! I then phoned the same day to find out what happened & was informed that they have received my order & would sms me between 2-5 working days while the store would be processing my order. Today the 22/11/17 & 6 days later, I phoned again as no sms received yet. I spoke to Nolwazi who kindly informed me that they have run out of stock & as soon as they receive new stock I would be notified via sms. I do not find this acceptable service at all, why do they advertise goods on Black Friday if they know they will run out of stock or are out of stock! I am so livid and will never support Makro again. I will also make it known to all my friends. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told that he is not in today (yeah very convenient)? This kind of thing is just shocking and NOT acceptable at all!

I am very upset and furious with the false advertisement that you guys advertised on black Friday.
On the catalog it was advertised that Ps4(337059) was for R3999.99 when we arrived at the till the amount changed to R4999.00. And on the catalog it showed that the special was only available from the 24-26 November and I called Marker(veal) on Thursday to find out if is still PlayStation(337059) are available, they had advised yes.
The package had the same games and same amount of gig(500) but the price changed, I stood there with the manager but they couldn't give me an answer and was told the price is different and its not the same ps4 advertised.
A lot of customer were very angry about the matter. I bought the console but not happy about the price, I could have went to game or don and purchased it. I need explanation for this and a refund of R1000 that was spent on the console.
