I had a flat tire and decided to stop at mavis discount in New Bruinswick NJ to get it replaced. I was in a hurry because I had work and I didn't think of taking anything out of my car, after receiving my car I realized a visa gift card of 100 was gone, 250 also gone that were in my compartment. I called the location and the onsite supervisor told me he has gone through the Camera footage and nobody took to money. I said okay but can I see it too so my mind is at peace because my money went missing right after and I was suspecting the mechanic who fixed my car. They said they will get back to me. They did not, decided to call them again, they said they wouldn't let me see it. I just want to know why you have Cameras on site, if it's not for the safety of customers. How is it okay that somebody can go as far as opening a customers compartable, when you're there to get ur tire serviced

I just returned from the above location after having my car inspected. The ONLY reason I chose Mavis was b/c I thought I might need tires. First f all, the place was filthy & my car was left with grease on the seat & steering wheel. Bits of paper from changing the inspection sticker were left on my dashboard & the floor was full of mud. My car is maintained in pristine condition but after waiting well over 2 hours, I wasn't going to go back inside & complain. Needless to say, I was not happy!
The manager(?), Anthony told me in front of other customers how awful his mechanics were; they are unreliable, nasty, late to work, etc, etc, etc. He said he'd like to "spit in their faces" but if he fires them, it's hard to replace them b/c the pay is so poor. I thought that was extremely unprofessional.
I WILL NEVER USE Mavis again! How does your monopoly of a company allow such conditions to exist. Shame on you👎🏻👎🏻
People want jobs but dont want to work. generations are less and less experienced to hard work basics at a young age. It's the new normally unfortunately. I know and you know all the problems. The solution need to start happening or the USA is in big trouble with that.
tire installation alignment
I called to schedule appointment. They asked when I could come in I told them 20 minutes get there and it took over 3 hours before they even looked at the car whole process took over 5 hours. Service was horrible. Amy at the front desk is not a fit for this job. She doesn't communicate with the customer to let me know what was going on. I came in for specific things and she tried to upsell things that I don't need. Horrible experience
promised tire purchase and installation on a travel trailer
On Wednesday, June 19th, my husband went to the Mavis Tire on W. Genesee St in Camillus to inquire about the purchase and installation of 4 tires for our travel trailer. The man behind the counter was wearing a white shirt, so he thought he was the manager. This gentleman was very cordial and said he could get 4 tires and quoted a price with installation to be done on Saturday the 22nd.
We took the camper out there only to be treated with rudeness. A man with a blue shirt, was outside and asked what we were here for. We said to have tires put on.
He then claimed that he was the manager and said that they do not install tires on a camper due to the fact, they can't take tools out of the bay to work in a parking lot. When he turned to another customer, we started talking to a mechanic who happened to be standing there and at that point he rushed over and said "you can't talk to him, he's JUST the tire guy, I'M the manager". Well, in shock of this poor guy being humiliated in front of others, I apologized to him and followed the manager into the office.
Once inside, he said he couldn't find our name in the computer, had no tires for us, knew nothing about the order, claimed he phoned the so called guy who worked on Wednesday and was told that he too knew nothing about camper tires or the fireman who he gave a fire discount to. His customer service was disgusting and I told him so.
We've given them a lot of business between 2 vehicles and our camper over the years. The last manager that I met with in the fall was awesome - very welcoming. This dude...well, I was so mad that I told him how unprofessional he was, how rude he was and how he's lost our business. He didn't care. Another customer waiting also stated to us how he's experienced this same rudeness from this jerk.
Once we left, we called another tire store (Dunn Tire) and they happily placed an order and will install them in a couple of days (in their parking lot) when they come in. And... their ST tires are cheaper so we're saving money!
I've cut up my Mavis credit card due to the fact that I will not give this company any of my hard earned money when we've been treated like this. This store and your company lost a $500+ sale and future sales of everyone who I can talk to.
So I know they wanted to help you. Trailers are out of the wheel house so to speak. Why because of the skill level of the techs possibly and if the have the proper jacks and Jack stands which some do some dont.here. sounds like you were looking for a reason not to like mavis and your sliming them because they can't help you with a trailer not there specialty. My advise try a different Mavis location.

Services: Car inspection and oil change. Truck passed inspection. They listed I needed new tires by winter and a shock was leaking and a new air filter. all thing Ill correct myself in do time. I think that it was disappointing that I didn't just say go ahead for all those items. Turn a $90.00 change into $1, 500.
After leaving the site. I could see from my dashboard indicators that none of the air had been checked in my tires because one I knew of was low. My windshields washer fluid was also empty and stayed that way. I have to wonder what type of service did I really get.
I have never left and inspection or oil change where all my fluids weren't checked and filled even for and extra price. Mavis is a tire store. How could let me leave without all the proper air in my tires.
I'm disappointed by this Mavis. I was hoping for the basic safer better service. I went as far as getting myself a Mavis credit card. I don't have a big trust level on this certain Mavis's services.

What's seems to be simple air pressure check. Yeah those sensor's that tell you . Those have to be calibrated or recalibrated. Tires don't just loose air you have a leak that you need to fix. brake job not performed
on5/26/18 I had your Marshall's Creek store do a brake job for which entailed having both the front and rear rotors and pads done. Within 2 months time I had to have the rear brakes and rotors as well as the parking brakes and right rear spindle replaced as the cables were never adjusted and destroyed everything. On 7/9/18 I had to purchase the spindle the cables and hardware kit as well as the adjusters. Today I just had to have the rear brakes and parking brakes done again only to find out that the cables and hardware was never changed. the customer number for the initial brake job is invoice# 882039 and for the job on 7/9 is invoice # 883069. The job today cost me $600.00 and am wondering if your company is going to provide any restitution to me since I paid you for work that was not performed.
I do not represent and have no affiliation with this company. However I have excellent experience in customer service and shop management. As you can see brake systems are way more than just brake pads and rotors. Sound to me like you had multiple repairs that were needed and the shop went with what was the best for value to you. On Friday, June 7, 2019, I went to Mavic Discount Tire in 6801 Hadley Road, South Plainfield, NJ [protected] and inquired about availability of 205/55/R17 91H for my 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman S The store was out of stock and they have to order it. I agreed and I was told by counter person named Cece that it will arrived that day she will call me to install the tires. But I said to her make me an appointment the next day Saturday, June 8 at 1 pm if they cannot do it on Friday...she never called me on Friday. Came to Mavis on Saturday at 1 pm and I was told bey Cece that there were 12 persons ahead of me and it will a long time to wait. So I decided to make an appointment the following day, Sunday June 9 at 1 pm. I wanted to be assured that they will install it on Sunday and she said OK. Everything will be cleared in the morning and they will install my tire at 1 pm. Came back to MavisSunday June 9 at 1 pm and when I asked for Cece, I was told that Cece is on vacation to California and will be back after a week. I was told they cannot install my tire because nobody was there to install it and he will be closing the store after he finished with one person. I was told by Cece that Sunday they close at 5pm. Mavis is so unreliable and liars. Why did Cece made an appointment on Sunday June 9 at 1 pm when she knows she will be on vacation and assured me that Mavis will install the tires on Sunday. Very, very disappointed with Mavis and this is the first time I am dealing with them...bad impression. I am sure that I will never go back to them. ~Sonny S.

oil change/tire rotation
I called ahead of time for Oil change and tire rotation. They said bring it right in. I dropped off the car at 1:30 PM. They close at 5 PM and said that they will call me when finished. I called at 4 PM to check and they said that they were almost done. He stated that he would call me when finished. And then became 5 o'clock and I tried calling and no one answered. I then drove to the store to find my car unlocked with several hundred dollars worth of my personal items inside. All doors are locked and no one was there. My complaint is that they did not call me, and they left my car unlocked in front of their store with a lot of expensive personal items inside. I will have to wait until tomorrow morning to pick it up I guess. I may have another complaint at that time.
Ask that person straight up what happened? And tell the manager so they can fix this.
theft of services
This is the second time i was charged for an oil change but the filter wasn't. I had a 100.00 credit from Mavis East Peachtree city GA because a few months ago when the check of work was made-- we found the old filter was still on the van. (manager verified) Today we brought our 100.00 voucher for the next oil change and low and behold -- after insisting the filter was changed - the manager Juan checked the Tape-- he also saw the marks my man put on the filter, he NEVER changed the filter-- but kept telling the boss he did for the second time?
OK maybe once-- but same store-- same crew-- they're stealing and and we're paying for that?
Tomorrow I'm going to the DA in our county and hopefully the sheriff to have a police report made for theft of services against this company and store.
Yes I did try to call Juan but he wouldn't come to the phone-- these people are stealing from the customers and I'm just one of how many? Let's face it when the computer says you've done 1000 oil changes and only 50 filters were used? well really who's watching the store the same crooks who swear it's not happening. Why because mechanics aren't the ones ordering the filters-- management is. they know from inventory what's going on.
Next time say you want your old filter back. Yes you want your old oil filter back
Sound like your out to get I'm sorry. Sound like the tech is telling his side to the manager and there going off what he's telling them. Next time stay there and watch them do it stand outside. Most new filters use a housing with a filter inside so being that said if you mark a housing it will be there forever.

Was saddened to see Kauffman Tire sell out to Mavis in the Atlanta area in the past year. Was never a "raving" fan of Kauffman yet they provided fair prices and very good customer service. Can't speak of Mavis' prices because I haven't and don't plan to spend any money with them but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Recently picked up a nail and went to local Mavis store to have it repaired. The desk clerk said it would be $20., even though I bought the tires there. Additional cost road hazard or not Kauffman never charged for the occasional nail repair, because its called CUSTOMER SERVICE folks! For that $20. Mavis made on that one repair, they now have literally lost thousands of dollars of my business between tires for my four vehicles, oil changes, alignments and the occasional minor repair.
alignment and driver side steering knuckle replacement
Mid March of 2019 I brought in my 1999 Chevrolet s10 for an alignment with thier recommendation I bought two new tie rod ends from a different auto parts store for them to install after the alignment I replaced my drive side CV joint while changing the part I found the tie rod ends was stripped I brought the truck in and the to technician informed me that my steering knuckle had been damaged by the loose tie rod I paid for it to be replaced on April after the vehicle had been returned to me the caliper bracket was not properly reinstalled and was missing a bolt I brought it back in for them to properly install the caliper bracket and was offered a free oil change for compensation I watched the technician use an impact to install the missing bolt and not use a torque wrench a few weeks later I'm about to change my ball joints on the passenger side front tire to see that the tie rod end on that side was also stripped when I could not remove it with hand tools. When I informed them of this I was just told that they are not liable for any of it since I did not purchase the parts that thier technicians installed on to my truck.
my rim
I carried my nephew truck to the Saraland Al store location on 5/17/19 to have some rims and tires installed and a 4 wheel alignment. I ordered the rims and tires as a package deal brand new, therefore they mounted and balanced them before they shipped them. So everything was still in the wrapping from the factory when I made it to the shop. A lady comes into the lobby to show me a couple of bent screws that go on the center caps alone with the other 6 straight crews telling me that the screws was already bent, which I doubted. So I told her to leave out the two bent screws, so I could come home and get in touch with the factory to see how could they ship me bent new screws, giving the lady in the shop a benefit of the doubt. So I paid my installation bill and came home. After I brought my nephew truck home I took the 2 supposedly bent screws so he could look at them and we noticed that the screws was not the ones that was brought to me in the lobby, they weren't bent. So we decided to see why they didn't put them in like the other one being that they weren't bent and we recovered they had bowed the hole out with a bigger screw or something. The screws would go straight in catching no threads, because it was stripped out. So he's having to ride around with 3 center caps. After paying high dollars for 20 in rims for a truck isn't cheap. For them to lie about them destroying the rim. Maybe they can find him 2 black screws to install the center cap it probably wouldn't be so bad, but instead they try into getting out of fault by lying. Cheryl Powell [protected].
