On [protected] I placed and order for a set of front stock height springs and a set (2) front shocks for a 1972 Chevrolet Nova. First I received the springs which are incorrect (too tall) and no shocks. I contacted customer service via email. Then received only one (1) shock. On oct 4, 2022 contacted them via phone since they had closed what they called a "ticket" for continuing our chat via email . When I finally spoke with a customer service rep he has told me that I need to go to amazon to file a return request as if I had ordered from amazon. I ordered directly from Parts Geek. Amazon has nothing to do with this order. To me is rather too obvious that they don't want to do anything to accept responsibility for the erroneous order by issuing return labels and issuing a refund like ARE REQUIRED TO DO.
Desired outcome: Issue return labels and accept responsibility for screwing up and issue a refund immediately. I will never ever order anything from these scammers. No refund? See you in court faster that a blink of the eye.
(Auto) Parts Geek (CEO - JON SINCLAIR)
I bought a pair of expensive (albeit overpriced) Bilstein 4x4 Struts from Professional Charlatan, Fraudster, Con-Man, Swindler, Snake Oil Salesman, and sometimes Auto Parts Retailer - JON SINCLAIR
I am in Australia, and he purposely sent a large box with only one strut in it, rolling around unpacked, which arrived both damaged and lonely, longing for it's partner. I emailed lowlife JON SINCLAIR to no avail in search for my missing strut.
I called both his business and mobile phone numbers which all claimed to be DISCONNECTED. If i f**ked people over for a living I'd probably disconnect my phones too!
Obviously, pitiful scammer - JON SINCLAIR is no spring chicken. HE's been in the industry for maybe 20 years or so. You can access his Linkdin profile to see that he has started, swapped and changed his business name and address many times over the years. Actions also synonymous with f**king people over for a living. He's a well-travelled man.
In Buying these over-priced struts from eBay(of which were the only ones I could find at the time, as they don't sell this type in my country) in my HASTE, I failed to check his % rating and complaints, which I normally do when spending a large amount. The negative comments OMFG ...if only i checked these first before purchasing.
There were 1000's of negative comments about this guys dodgy business practices - short orders, missing parts, orders not turning up at all! This was coming from locals as well.
JON SINCLAIR - disgrace to humanity - also set up several sites called " IS PARTS GEEK LEGITAMITE" ? Only a Con-Man would come up with a supporting website to hide his crimes.
Desired outcome: My desired outcome for JON SINCLAIR would be to (minimum) lose his trading license after a well-documented history of fraudulent business practices & (maximum) I would like to see him do jail time with maybe some lashings & sodomizing.
Wrong part
Ordered Brake and Rotor Kit, (Detroit Axle SKU146485-[protected]), started installing rotors and brake pads on the front, moved to the back wheels and discovered the rear rotors were the duel type not single which is required for my vehicle (2019, Ford explorer, XLT) unknown to me. Called customer support and they said I could not return just the rear rotors but needed to return the whole kit, and because I had installed the front rotors (just installed not driven) I could not return the kit. My issue is; I believe I ordered the correct kit for my vehicle looking at the section that tells the customer which vehicle the part or kit fits, it plainly is printed it fits my vehicle (2019 Ford Explorer XLT), I am not asking for a new kit, although that would be fair and or the correct thing to do but rather an exchange of the rear rotors (only), to make my order correct. I have several emails telling me this matter is resolved, its not! This is not my mistake I order the part that indicated it fit my vehicle, part geeks need to make it right.
Desired outcome: exchange rear rotors or just send me the correct rotors
I ordered rear pads and park brake shoes for my Daughters 2012 Jeep Patriot, the pads worked but the shoes for the park brake are wrong, Had to go to local parts shop and pay a lot more for the right shoes. I need to send the shoes back for a refund.
Crank case breather
I ordered this part for my Mercedes c300. When I go the part I gave to our mechanic and he took it out of the plastic and said it smells like gas that this part is used!
Not only was it used, it was the wrong part. Called the customer service and they gave me a return label to send it back, no problem. Sent it back. Now they said they will not refund my money( $ 389.00) because the part is used! I told them you sent it to me used and you sent me the wrong part. After numerous emails back and forth they told me that they can't help me anymore and that now the ticket is closed. They told me I should have taken pictures of the part I received and then they could have given me my money back. They said they will be sending the part back to me. I told them that I will not accept the package and it will be returned back to them. I have also contacted my credit card company to file a complaint. I will never, ever buy from them again. They are in Doylestown Pa. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB and the attorney general. This Company should be shut down for good!
Desired outcome: Refund back
They sold me two oxygen sensors that were the wrong ones
I purchased two oxygen sensors from part geeks the parts person sold me the wrong parts when I return them they said there was only one but I had put both of them in the box so they only gave me half the money after reading about some other things that's happened to other people they either just ripped me off are they just have a return Warehouse that don't know what they're doing either way it's bad businesses.
Desired outcome: To get the money back they stole from me
Only 7 out of 8 Parts received from Parts Geek
I ordered almost $1,400 car parts from Parts Geek but only 7 of 8 arrived. What did not come was basically a piece of Foam called a bumper absorber.
I noticed that 3 of the 8 orders were in "processing status" and when I called the Warehouse they said the parts were at the warehouse and he changed the status to shipping. I only received 2 of the 3 boxes and nobody at Parts Geek can tell me where the absorber is. One customer service rep said 3 parts where in the same tracking number and came in the same box. However I received 2 boxes, on 2 different days and Parts Geek ships in separate boxes per item. The next person told me this was out on a truck out for delivery but could not give me a number to confirm this.
Desired outcome: I spent $1,400 on 8 parts send me the last part which is basically foam. I included a pick of 7 out of 8 parts received.
Pressure hose, was wrong part sent and could not return,
Order number [protected] sold by
Autopartsgeek2user id, totalus $45.74
Order details power steering pressure hose autopart intl [protected] fits 08-09 saturn vue
Bought this part from seller on ebay, sent wrong hose, sent them the pictures they asked for. Was told on ebay email that I had to use this site that they gave a rma#? Site that I needed to go to and give my order number and zip code, tried many times until it was over thirty days and now i'm told I can't return and I can't even put my request in at all, i'm blocked.
Look out if you buy from this seller/company.
Desired outcome: Send me a return Label
TPMS Valve Kit - Dorman 974-000
I WENT BACK AND FORTH WITH EMAILS INDICATING THE WEBSITE HAD SHOWN THE PART #974-000 WAS FOR MY [protected] GMC Sierra 1500, THE REP STATED " this will be considered as bought by mistake"...
THERE WAS NO MISTATKE ON MY PART - I WENT BY THE WEBSITE AS TO WHAT WAS RIGHT FOR MY VEHICLE...
I GAVE ALL THE INFO THROUGH THE ONLINE CHAT AND THAT PERSON SAID HE WAS FORWARDING ALL INFO TO THE WAREHOUSE.
I THEN BEGAN TO ANSWER QUESTIONS TO WHICH THEY WERE SENDING ONE QUESTION PER EMAIL... WHEN I ASKED THEM TO SEND ALL QUESTIONS AT ONE TIME INSTEAD OF MAKING THE CUSTOMER JUMP THROUGH MANY HOOPS - I COULD JUST JUMP THROUGH ONE OR TWO... NO SUCH LUCK... I EVENTUALLY WAS EMAILD ON HOW TO SEND IT BACK BUT WITHOUT BEING TOLD IT WAS BEING REFUNDED NOR WAS THERE A CALL TAG SINCE I PAID FOR THE SHIPPING TO GET IT AND BECAUSE THE WEBSITE WAS WRONG - SHIPPING SHOULD BE ON THE COMPANY'S END - NOT MINE... I CAN NOT SEE MY ORDERING ANYTHING ELSE IF THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE THE DECISIONS DO NOT STEP UP AND GIVE ME A REASON TO BE A HAPPY RETURNING CUSTOMER... I HAVE NO PROBLEM BUYING PRODUCTS BUT BE FAIR - BE HONEST AND STAND BEHING THE SUCCESSES AS WELL AS THE FAILURES...
i can not understand why even this site complains about the customer as i had to finish this with my phone because the cap lock is frozen in the lock on position ( bad circuit board) - it complains "this will be considered as bought by mistake" it is not a mistake - just a damaged circuit board which for this military veteran - cost is too high to replace the laptop and almost as much to replace the circuit board - bills at home come prior to luxery items like a new laptop or repairs to a 14 year old laptop...
Desired outcome: FULL REFUND
refund
I am writing to you with regards to a recent incident I had with Parts Geek. We purchased two items (one a catalytic converter and oxygen sensor). These parts were ordered and received in two separate packages. We have ordered many parts from Parts Geek in the past.
Most recently, we order super duty shocks. When we received the shocks, there was NO rubber, parts were MISSING. We called right away, asking how these shocks could even leave the warehouse without all the right parts. This brings me back to the two recently order parts, the catalytic converter and oxygen sensor. Order # 18-[protected]
When we received catalytic converter box it was full of holes. The part had no extra packaging (ie bubble wrap). The part was just put in box, flopping around, so holes were created all over the box. The Oxygen sensor was received in a smaller package. After receiving the items we were informed that the parts were no longer needed it was an oil issue not a muffler and oxygen sensor issue.
We contacted Parts Geek and told them we no longer needed the parts and that we wanted to return them. They stated that we would get emails with the RMA numbers and instruction on how and where to return the items.
The catalytic convertor was sent VIA UPS on 1/3/2022 at 14 Lbs. It was shipped in the same box we received it. But I taped over all the holes that it made on arrival to us. I also placed extra packaging in the box, along with TWO NUTS and gasket. It was received on 1/7/2022 to the address I was told to send it to (see below) . I am being told that the TWO NUTS AND GASKET WERE NOT INCLUDED! WHY WOULD WE KEEP A GASKET AND NUTS for this part. Everything was shipped back and now Parts Geeks is stating they will NOT REFUND US THE $373.00. We are very frustrated with this. How do we know that the gasket and nuts were not just discarded in the box that was received by the warehouse person name "LOWETHEN". You had shocks sent to us missing parts and that was acceptable. I can see where things can be missed in your warehouse. We are talking about $373.37. That is a lot of money to us. All parts were returned.
We need to hold the warehouse people accountable for their actions or non actions of checking the box for all items. WHY WOULD WE KEEP TWO NUTS AND A WASHER, may a total of $5.00 in parts….We would like to have our credit card refunded for the items that were returned. WE are very displeased on how we can be told, "we are sorry we cannot be further help" and just told we are not being refunded. Nowadays, every penny counts and I would have kept maybe $5.00 worth of parts to jeopardized being refunded $373.00
Desired outcome: REFUND OUR CREDIT CARD
They are stealing money, they send you the wrong parts, and when you make a return they keep your money.
My Order 18-[protected]
Horrible customer service, provide wrong tracking info, Insisted I got everything in one shipment, items were sent in different shipments. damaged In shipping, other item lost in shipping, lied to by customer service, promised a call from supervisor, never called. They refuse to do anything till after weeks of waiting on lost shipment. Have to wait for they don't send replacement parts. Have to wait for claim with ups before refunded. Waist of time and money, and they don't care about the issues. Use at your own risk Jose supervisor ext 5022 is rude and unhelpful. He also told me I shouldn't be calling.
Desired outcome: Replacement or refund!
He is, they are stealing money.
alternator
My order 18-[protected] arrived as it should have, however the part is not correct for my car as the Parts Geek "check fit" system promised. This is not the first time this has happened. I want to love Parts Geek, but it's getting harder.
In good faith and as per the details on the Parts Geek website I ordered a part. It is in no way correct for my car despite the information claiming that it is correct. I will have to return the part that I NEVER would have purchased if the Parts Geek system was correct. But Parts Geek will not pay for return shipping even though it is the fault of Parts Geek that I am returning the item.
Desired outcome: Parts Geek should update their "check fit" system and should also pay return shipping on items ordered that are incorrect despite the Parts Geek system claiming they are correct.
2018 F150 RH Mirror
DO NOT BUY these mirrors. The site claims these mirrors are compatible, but they are not. The one I bought omitted a temperature sensor that causes the engine check light to illuminate and disables the air conditioner. The company blamed me for the error, refused to pay return shipping, and then "discovered" a cosmetic flaw in the returned part and refused to refund the purchase price. AVOID THESE PEOPLE.
Desired outcome: Refund the purchase price plus the price of the return shipment and apologize for their behavior.
Customer Service
Order Number [protected] I place this order an tried to cancel within an hour. I was told I could not cancel I would have to send back. The want to charge over half of what I paid to ship it back. I think this is unfair and it should have been cancelled. Most company give you at least 24 hours to cancel an order. This is poor customer service
E-mail on file with parks geek.
Desired outcome: ship back at no cost.
Offer $5 coupon if you give a review... But only if you buy over $200 order
Ordered brakes and hoses for my 2006 Solara.
Order 18-[protected]. Sep 7, 2021.
Parts were fine, installed well, work fine.
Gripe is that they offer $5 coupon if you do a review...but it's limited you later find out.
I reviewed all 3 items I ordered and got one $5 coupon...but it's only good if I order more $200 worth of stuff! The $200 min order was mentioned only after I submitted the review.
This is a minimal dollar amount here, but the deception in order to get you to post a review is maddening.
If you want a review, just ask for one...don't offer a misleading coupon.
Doubt I'll use partsgeek again...just because of the deception. Lots of other choices out there.
Rich
[protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: Make the coupon good for any order, or be reasonable...maybe $30 min order.
Their cancellation and return policies are subpar
Parts Geek comes up short when it comes to cancelling and or returning an order.
I requested to cancel my order a few hours after I placed it. They refused to cancel it and told me so in a template email. I then contacted them again the next day, requested to cancel the order. They refused again. Then, the item shipped 3 days after my original cancellation request.
So now I have to wait for the product to get to me, start an RMA or refuse the package, then wait for it to get back to their warehouse, for them to then inspect it and then up to another week to get my refund. Oh, and they will likely deduct part of my refund for a restocking fee. Do NOT use these guys. Avoid them if you can. It is obvious they get a lot of cancellation requests for orders, yet they do not improve their system to deal with these requests. Instead, they just deny, deny and ship.
Customer service
Customer service lied to us about shipping a part to us. Left us stranded in a broken down tuck for an additional 3 days and nobody can identify a manger to complain to. They are not trustworthy and a fraud because they have zero problem lying to you and when caught just put you off. Pathetic way of doing business. Do not trust them or use them. They do not deserve customers.
Desired outcome: They stop lying and service the customers when they said they would.
Part catalog inaccuracy and poor customer support
I ordered a moog sway bar bushing kit that was stated as being for my truck with a 34mm diameter sway bar. I paid shipping and when the part arrived it was for a 32mm sway part. I contacted parts geek and informed them that their catalog description was incorrect and requested to return the part. They approved the return and told me that I would be responsible for the return shipping! What? I paid for them to ship me the wrong part... Thier mistake!... Then pay to return it!
This company does not know what customer service is and is definately not concerned about customer satisfaction!
Pay more upfront, from a reputable company! It will be cheaper in the long run!
Desired outcome: Pay for Return Shipping and Issue Refund PLUS Initial Shipping Charge!
Never received items
Was charged for $400 dollars worth of struts that I never received- their response is that fed ex delivered them to correct address which is a complete lie- Fed ex delivers to us daily we are a large gas station open 24/7..
never saw items and they won't give refund horrible horrible parts dealer!
Desired outcome: REFUND
AC compressor kit
Hello;
On Friday July 30 I called Parts Geek customer service [protected]) to verify the part I needed to order for 2010 Honda accord ex. The parts I wanted to verify were UAC Honda Accord A/C compressor kit UAC KT 4894A. After speaking with their customer service, Marny (not sure if I spelled her name correctly) at extension 4016, we verified the part number to be correct, the price on their web site was $236.43, and there were 3 pcs in stock. The total for the order, including tax and shipping was $254.78.
On Monday August 2, I called the same customer service representative at extension 4016. I placed the order with Marny. Yesterday 8-2-21 I received a FedEx notification with the tracking number. I checked the order and discovered the part that Parts Geek shipped, was "2010 Honda Accord Crosstour A/C Compressor - 158335 Four Seasons - $226.43". Order # 18-[protected].
Today 8-3-21, I called customer service to notify them of their mistake.
I was told that I would need to call Parts Geek when the part arrived and they would send me a return-shipping label, but today I needed to re-order the same part.
My complaint is the price on Monday was $236.43 and today the same part is now $280.43. I spoke with a supervisor (Jested) on Parts Geek and I was told the vendor raised the price and the there are still 3pcs in stock.
I ordered the part on good faith 08-03-21 and it was Parts Geek mistake why should I pay the additional cost the same part two days later?
I have tried calling the corporate phone number, [protected] and
[protected] are both disconnected.
