frigidaire refrigerator - complaint and request for compensation
I am providing a written service complaint. We have been without a working refrigerator for well over a week now, which is too long. There was a lot of miscommunication between PC Richard and the technician who serviced us, which has further delayed a simple problem. A working fridge is a basic necessity and this should have been resolved quickly; the inefficiency and miscommunication is unacceptable. We have lost over $300 in food, we have no place to store our vitamins and medicines which require refrigeration, and we have had to spend approximately $350 over the last week and a half, eating out. We would like to be compensated with a gift certificate of $700 for the inconvenience.
For the record, this is what happened:
*A technician from PC Richard & Son came by Tuesday, April 30th, to diagnose the problem, and suggested the whole unit be replaced, as it was a brand new unit that was not working properly. The technician explained that the refrigerator could probably be promptly replaced within couple days.
*It was then decided, unbeknownst to me (or the technician, apparently), that it would be best to just replace the compressor. So, it was then arranged for the technician to come back Saturday, May 4th, with a new compressor.
*I then decided to call PC Richard to see if anyone could come any sooner than Saturday. It turned out the technician could come sooner, and I do not know why I was not previously offered an earlier day and time.
*On Friday, May 3rd, the technician returned. He was early - he came two hours before the allotted time, which was inconvenient. He seemed perplexed as to why PC Richard had not ordered us a new fridge, which indicates to me that there is bad internal communication and understanding at PC Richard. The technician then tried to fix the broken compressor, but realized the wrong part had been ordered by PC Richard, and he could not complete the job. This immediately set us back again, with no hope of getting the situation fixed before the weekend.
*The technician then called PC Richard and again recommended the unit be replaced.
*PC Richard finally authorized that the refrigerator be replaced.
*I was told someone would call me to coordinate the refrigerator swap.
*In the meantime, I decided I wanted to go ahead and speak with a supervisor, as I was angry that the technician had arrived with the wrong part. When I did finally speak to a supervisor, she seemed to not understand what had happened or why I was upset.
*The supervisor pressed me to speak to my apartment management company to coordinate the fridge swap, and stressed it was my responsibility to facilitate - which was additionally confusing, as I had been told someone from PC Richard would reach out to me to facilitate and handle the coordination. So it was extremely unclear if my management company would have even known what was happening had I not insisted on speaking to a PC Richard supervisor.
*After calling and complaining, yet again, I was granted a $25 gift card which I reluctantly accepted. This is wholly insufficient compensation for such a terribly handled situation.
We are incredibly dissatisfied with this experience. We hope PC Richard works to improve its protocol (and communication). We would again appreciate compensation for all our wasted time, money, and food. A certificate in the minimum amount of $700 at this juncture is reasonable.

In frustration I called back and again put on hold for 30 mins -when the salesman answered the call he said that sometimes they ship the product w/o operating inst. which I find hard to believe . the sales person said he would try to print out a copy of the instructions and said he would call me with further info .that was 30 mins ago and no call back

damaged flooring and dented refrigerator
I had my LG stove delivered today in my home and the delivery men were to take the old stove away and in doing this they dragged the stove out of the kitchen and scratched the flooring in several places over approximately 8 feet. The delivery men also dented the freezer door on my refrigerator. Some of the scratches on the floor are gashes in the tiling. I am attaching pictures of the damage. Loss of a loyal customer...
I will start by sharing that I have been a loyal Manalapan PC Richard customer for 10+ years. I recently purchased a $2500 LG refrigerator as well as a mattress, Whirpool dishwasher, cooktop, oven and microwave not to mention several TVs and small appliances.
A month ago (at the same time that I purchased the refrigerator), I bought a Yeti travel mug. I used the mug a few times and noticed the closure broke which is necessary to keep coffee hot. I went to return the top expecting that they would replace it (which would be the appropriate customer service friendly action to take). Instead, the manager told me he didn't have the authority to replace it because it is "controlled" merchandise. He sold me a new lid for $10.00.
After he rang up the sale, I told him that he basically just lost a loyal PC Richard customer. He acknowledged that he knows me and how often I am in the store, but still insisted he couldn't do anything about the broken item. Bottom line... I will be purchasing future appliances, tvs, barbeque grill, etc elsewhere and I will be sharing this story with my family and friends. I know this is a family business that prides itself on customer service. Epic fail and loss of a customer for $10
ge warranty not received from pc richards purchases
I placed some items in Layaway at the Danbury PC Richards at the end of 2017. The items were paid off and delivered to a new house construction in 2018. At that time, I was working with AJ (who had been transferred to another store location). Jason, the new store Manager at Danbury took on my case. I gave him all of the serial numbers and he processed the rebate with the GE guys. Jason, was then transferred to the Norwalk store, but I constantly followed up with him to inquire about the rebate.
Jason indicated everything was approved and the rebate would be sent in 4 to 6 weeks. It's been more tha double the time frame. I've worked with Jason to get the issue resolved; I've also worked with Adam (the new manager at the Danbury story), but I feel like I am getting the run around. The gift card is equivalent to $400. In all actuality, I should receive more based on the warranties I purchased at the time of sale. I'm in the process of locating all of my receipts and providing that information.
What I would like for this situation to be resolved is the $400 gift card that I am owed due to my purchase of GE appliances.

I purchased a dryer a few months ago. The dryer won't dryer, I put only 2 sheets 2 pillow cases and I have a gas dryer maytag and it takes 120 minutes. I ask them to come after 3 because I work so they keep sending people at 12 pm. I took a lunch break to meet the guy and he's on his phone for 20 minutes since I have a ring that records so I told him I had to go back to work. Then they came the second time and it took him 3 minutes to fix it...well not so 5 days later it's not drying again..I advice NOT buying from here. Now they are coming back on Monday which I asked after 3 for the 12th time. Let them keep using there gas and miles if they won't pay attention to instructions...they suck
gas leak from faulty oven

I am sending this email because of a faulty oven that was purchased for my apartment in December of 2017. I believe the property manager purchased it from P.C. Richards.
The oven was delivered to my home on December 6th, 2017 approximately at 9:45 am.
The delivery persons DID NOT install the new stove, they just placed it in my kitchen and left. It was brought to my attention that they were given instructions not to install it, that the property manager told them he would do it. So the property manager came later that day and installed the unit. I DID question him if he actually knew what he was doing, and he replied that he did, and said he used to work for Con Edison, when I questioned him about the gas I was smelling.
That same day, I kept smelling gas. I reported it to my property manager and he came by to check it, by using a spray solution and stated that if the solution didn't turn a certain color, that means there's no gas leakage. After moving and spraying the oven area, he assured me there was no gas leakage, although I still smelled it.
After the property manager's initial attempt, he came by again the next day, changed what appeared to be a hose, and changed it because I told him that's what the manual said to do. The smell seemed to subside, although I believe I still smelled gas. Although hesitant, I used the stove with apprehension because property manager said the gas leakage was gone.
The oven showed signs of default from the very beginning. I noticed and extra ticking sound when using the oven. And when the oven would be turned on after a about 5 minutes, it made a "boom" sound. Also I noticed that when I turned on the top isles, the fire ignited with a big boom and I would have to step back because the fire comes out forcefully. Because I wasn't familiar with this model of a stove, I just thought that's how it worked, although it scared me. I decided I just wouldn't use the oven that often.
Fast forward, 1 year later, I go to turn my oven on and it won't ignite. I report it to the property manager. He sends a repair person out and they changed the ignitor and told me it burned out. When he left, I turned my oven on and after about 30 seconds, I smell overwhelming gas. I call the repair man who refuses to come back the same day, so I let property manager know this is serious and needed prompt attention, so the repair person came back the same day and took a second look and told me he would come back the next day to adjust the volume of ignitor which was the reason I was smelling gas. I took his word for it because he said he'd been doin his job for 40 years. He comes back the next day, adjusts the ignitor, but I still smelled gas when he left and moreso when I turned the oven on. Again, the property manager is made aware of this, and he schedules for the same repair persons to come back. I asked that they send someone different. They come again, and says they made the adjustment again with the ignitor and says that would fix the problem. It didn't.
I have called Con Edison 2 times in less than a week and both times, they've completely disconnected my oven the gas line because of the gas leakage. At this point, I DO NOT FEEL SAFE WITH THIS OVEN IN MY APARTMENT ANYMORE. It is faulty. The repair persons have tried and can't fix the problem. It was faulty from the beginning and still is. It is dangerous and a liability.
I reported these issues to my property manager via texts because that's our main source of communication.

We purchased the warranty at the time we purchased our washing machine. We never had a problem with the machine until now and we have had 3 service calls all with no resolve. They keep saying they need to order parts, they did and came to install and it broke again. They came back said they need to order more parts. Each time they come it's at least a week...

I bought a ps4 from pc Richards for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas. morning of opening her gift found out it was broken. Bought a new oven August 2nd. Wasn't working properly, service center was extremely rude and unaccomodating. Manager Mike was even less helpful. Service has been out twice and agreed that unit was installed improperly. It's now November and still have no oven despite harassing PC endlessly. Great prices, better hope nothing goes wrong and you need service.

WE have purchased literally every appliance in our home for the last 14 years from pc richard. we never had any problems prior to this. So obviously we would go to them to get a new oven when our 12 year old one broke. We purchased the viking french door double wall oven. I used it 2x and each time my food burned on the top and bottom and the middle was not fully cooked. I tried both the top and bottom. On top of it the racks are impossible to pull out and put back easily. I also noticed that the doors didnt have a flush closure. I went to pc and told them its not working for many reasons and i would like to return it and buy a different oven. I was told to call service first. Pc sent out a service repair and the repairmen said that it was in fact not working, it wasn't heating up properly as well as other issues. When i called the service center not only was i met with the most obnoxious representative who refused to understand that if its not working than we received a broken one to begin with. We were told they are sending out a different repair company whose a certified viking repairmen. UMMM really why didn't you do that to begin with. When i called the first repair company to see what pc said, the first place said that PC accused them of corroborating a story with me just to get a new oven.WHAT! i literally couldnt believe what i was hearing. We called PC back and told them the minute a 14 year old customer has a problem we see their true colors. We had the next company come out that they sent and he pointed out the problems. it's been WEEKS since we've heard anything. I called today and was told the repair company hasnt written out a report and we have to wait for a part.WAIT A MINUTE, that means that the NEW OVEN was faulty to begin with? Why should we accept a couple thousand dollar oven that was broken upon instillation? and by the way the corporate manager refused to come to the phone when my husband and i tried talking to him. He literally put any other rep on. So here we are waiting on them once again, no working oven and 6 kids to creativly cook for. PC RICHARD go back into our history and tally up all the money we've spent with you over the years. you dont care but you've lost a valuable customer for life.

Many years ago, this company was something a consumer could value, trust, and depend upon. Not only does P.C. Richards provide substandard service, but the store manager of the Woodbridge, NJ store is heartless, unempathetic, rude, disrespectful, money-driven, and a downright bully.
Yesterday, I contacted P.C. Richards seeking help regarding a $2, 500 purchase I made in September 2018. I requested P.C. Richard's help in remounting my brand new television because I have to switch apartments and I'm not financially able to pay an additional $400 for the service since it's just been a couple of weeks. Furthermore, their wall mounting subcontractor took the television's box contents and original stand which will not allow me to place the television and Bose Soundbar on a television stand.
As I explained this unforeseen circumstance over the phone with the Woodbridge Store Manger, he constantly interrupted me and continued to SCREAM (on speaker) that "NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS FREE HONEY" and that "I HAVE TO PAY THE FULL $400 REGARDLESS". Immediately, I was brought to tears and disconnected the call. I contacted the P.C. Richards Customer Service line at [protected] and spoke with T-Keisha, in tears, to explain what I just experienced and T-Kiesha said that I "have to speak with him" and "there's nothing that anyone else in the company can do to help me" and that I "am good".
Please take heed to my warning to not patronize this company and it's outdated claim of social responsibility, integrity, and reliability as they applaud the male chauvinistic conduct of its leadership.

I have a stacked machine that is around 5 years old. My dryer has not been working for a year. At first, it worked sporadically, but now, it doesn't work at all. I put my clothes in and a few minutes later, the machine dings and stops. A GE repairman came multiple times and could not repair the machine. He left one day knowing the machine was not working but when GE was contacted, they said it was working. When the repairman came back and I asked him why GE would think it was working, he stated that he told them it wasn't working. Now, I feel as if I am going through the same ordeal with a PC Richards repairman. I've been taking time off from work and nothing is resolved. Today, when the repairman came, he said it was a 2 person job but PC Richards hadn't scheduled the 2nd person, so that was a bust. Now, I'm taking another day off. Parts are being ordered and replaced, and still, a non-working machine. I just want someone to say the machine cannot be fixed. I am hoping that since I still have 5 years left on my extended warranty, I can get a new machine, either for free or, at a discount, but now, it looks like I will spend the rest of the warranty with no dryer. This is service at it's worst.

I bought a beko refrigerator from PC Richard and son in deer park New York about one year ago. My refrigerator broke down almost 2 months ago At which point I called the deer park store where I bought this to let them know. I had also bought an extended warranty for 10 years on my fridge motor. Someone from their store advised me that the soonest appointment they had would be in about 2 weeks which I was not happy about but I had no choice But to wait. I had to toss all my food with having 5 kids its extremely extremely hard not to have a working fridge and freezer. 2 weeks later past by, the day that they were supposed to come out past I called the very next day only to be told who ever I spoke to never put the appointment in. At this point I was extremely infuriated But again I had no choice but to make another appointment which was another week out. Technician showed up spoke to someone in my house as I was not home he told them he needed to order parts bc the motor isnt working and he will be back the next week. A weekly later no one ever came I call to find out what's going on. I was told that they were not coming back out because the technician noted that I had a pest problem And in order for them to come back out I needed to show a report from a pest control company that the issue was resolved. Just to note I have absolutely no pest problem at all so this was a blatant lie I ask for pictures of the problem they said they would call me back since they claim they take pictures of everything and I asked why didnt the tech say anything to anyone in the house at the time I even Told them that the very next day that technician called me as he said he needed to come back to take another picture of the serial number because the pictures that he took or not clear. Again I personally spoke to the technician and seen him face-to-face when he came back he explain to me about him needing to order parts and coming back the next week never once did he ever mention anything else. Someone finally called me back the next day to let me know that they are now going to order parts and send a technician back remember this is a week later after the tech came out they are now ordering parts They gave me a date of 10/15/18 that parts were going to come in and they were going to come right out. October 15 came and passed not a single phone call guess I call back they said parts did not come in they are expecting it on the 19th they will be out on that day. October 19th came and past by no call still from anyone. Today is October 23rd 2018 still Not a single call from anyone I called the service department to ask dam yet again what was going on only to be told that day would give me a call back. It's going on 2 months later I paid close to $2000 for my refrigerator this is the absolute worse service in my entire life I have received from anyone this will be the last time I ever shop at PC richard and Son which is a shame I shop there all the time I will let everyone I know never to go to pc Richards and I will take this to social media to let everyone know how they treat their customers. Maybe post will help them improve their customer service. 5 kids single parent no refrigerator or freezer in nearly 2 months. My next day off is not until next Monday I will be going out today and purchasing a new refrigerator I just will have to take them to small claims court because I have given a reasonable amount of time to get my refrigerator fix. I have all my call logs to prove how long I have been following them over and over trying to get this issue resolved for 2 months at this point I cannot wait any longer.
My fridge is still not fixed I gave up on them. My schedule appointment they said they didn't have the tools to complete the job. 5 month no fridge after spending $2000 and buying and extended service warranty for 10 yrs . So much for valuing your customers.
Finally got in touch with someone found out parts came in but they can not come out until November 8th as this is there earliest appointment. My first call to them according to my phone records was September 5th 2018. Over 2 months, does anyone think this is a reasonable amount of this to wait.
I emailed Kevin since October 24th haven't heard back from him. Today is November 1st no call yesterday about parts coming in. This is absolutely ridiculous I guess I will have to call tomorrow yet again to find out when parts are coming in.
I Received a returned call today after I called earlier in the morning. They advise me I have to wait another week for the parts to come in. 10/31/18 2 months after my original call. This is the third time the date of when the parts were supposed to come in changed. This is absolutely Ridiculous.
WOW - I've had mine less than 4 months with two service calls and they haven't been able to fix it. I don't know if this is Beko or its technicians but I will NEVER buy another one again if they can't fix this.

My name is Nadia and a customer of PC Richard for more than 10years. I have a problem that I thought I should bring to your notice may be it can be taken care of better than I was told.
I have been in this country for about 15years and PC Richard and Sons has always been a place my husband and I purchase everything we need for the family. I have never had any problem with my purchases and the customer service at my neighborhood as always been perfect. The first time I had a problem with my purchase was:
1. I bought a tablet for my kids and less than a year one of them was off and will not turn back on. I sent it back to P. C, after a week, I was told it could not be fixed so I was given my money back to purchase a new one. Thank you for that because I always buy my items with warrantee.
2. I recently purchased a printer for about $50.00 or more on sales, so I decided not to get warranty: I hold on to it until the 2nd week when I tried to install and it will not work. Being that is only 3 weeks without warranty, I took it back and was told after days, I have been given a new one because this is not good. Thanks again.
3. 2years and some months ago, I purchased a laptop for school, is HP 360 which was amazing and works perfect. As usual, I bought my 2years warranty for it. I never had a problem with it until last month when I tried to type a project and the computer will not turn on. I call P.C Richard at 440 Jersey City where I purchase most of my electronics and inform them of my laptop. I was told because my warranty is expired some few months ago, I will be paying $25 dollars to send it out to service and they will let me know how much to pay and get it fixed. I did take the computer to them on 10/04/18 and had a text response on 10/05/18 with this number: 58-14028 saying, your notebook computer has arrived at the service center and we will be assigned to the next available technician. Thank you.
Yesterday 10/16/18 I received a text with 58-14028 asking me to contact PC Richard regarding repair on my notebook computer. I called right away and the agent told me I needed to pay $700 and change to get it fix because my warranty is expired. I could not believe what I heard since buying a new one will be cheaper than fixing. I asked the representative, is this a strategy to tell me since my warranty is expired I cannot be help therefore throw it and buy another one? I am so disappointed with this because I have all my school work and all my graduation pictures on this laptop. She told me is up to me either to fix or purchase another one. I must admit, she was not saying it in a disrespectful manner though, I have to be honest. But this is not fair since this is the only store I go to for years and never give them any problem. Also, I do not have a problem buying a new laptop but my important documents are my worry. because most of them, I did not save on a flash drive.
For the years that I have been with PC Richard, this is the only time I have been displeased and will be grateful if I can get this PC fixed for a reasonable amount just because I have so much on it.

Washer was bought before two years, so many problems and finally PC richard told us they can't fix so they want to give us credit. i calling them since last three days, but all the representative giving us runaround. Nobody is taking responsibility, also when you can called them and tell them the name of representative you talked previous, they said nobody like that working here. that is ridiculous. i called the same number [protected]). all the Representative don't want to transfer to any supervisor. I make mistake that i bought from PC Richard. This is the worst customer service i have seen in my life. we don't have washer since last week and we kids and family, we need new washer as soon as possible.

I scheduled a repair for my washing machine which I had to wait 4 days for a repairman to show up. The repair was scheduled today 10/12/18 between the hours of 8 am - 11 am. I received a call from the repairman at 7:45 am to which he stated that he was on his way. I waited and waited and at 9 am I called back the number from which the repairman called me from twice and received no answer. I then looked through my surveillance footage and noticed that he did show up at 8:08 am came to the front door and just stayed there for about 5min. He then left and took a picture with a tablet computer and then stayed in his truck for some time then pulled off at 8:20 am.
I called the repair center and they stated to me that he showed up and no one was home. I told them that I was home and my son was home. Why did he not ring the bell? Why would he not call me again stating he was here? They said that he's an hour away and will not be coming back and that I could reschedule. Just very strange and very bad customer service! I'm very upset and will not be using PC Richards again. I have been using PC Richards for many years and have bought all my appliances from them, but this is the first time I attempted to use their repair service to which I am appalled.
