Hi, there were issues with the pumps on October 23 and my transaction would not go through. I kept trying and it kept failing (NOT an issue with my card!).
However, 2 of the transactions ($15 each) showed up in my bank account as pending, and I ended up getting charged an NSF fee, even though I never ended up getting the fuel.
Why did this happen?
The location was Signal Hill in Calgary, AB. The time was around 4:00 - 4:30 PM.
Desired outcome: I would like to be reimbursed the $45 I was charged for the NSF fee.
Flyer match prices
Every time I go to Cain's Independent Grocer 49-700 Tranquille Rd (1815) in Kamloops, BC V2B 3H9 the store will not price match Real Canadian Superstore flyer prices unless they are shown an actual physical paper flyer. I use your internet flyer. Is there a difference between the two and if not why do I need to show them the paper flyer?
Are they in any way affiliated with you?
Lorne
Desired outcome: I want them to price match the on lie flyer
icecream
Its simple 3 of the last 4 times you are out of Chapmans IceCream (Vanilla). The reason is its a better value than the other brands with quality taste. Briers Has have 10 times the quantity but double the price. I went to customer service and they aren't interested.l guess 1 can buy it elsewhere but Superstore is where I shop.Who's getting paid off by Briers Ha Ha. Just interested why you cant order more.

Desired outcome: stock more Chapmans Icecream
We could be killed or severely injured by a fallen overhead sign in Superstore
On the morning of Monday Oct 3, 2022, at 11:50 am, my husband and I were shopping at Superstore at 3185 Grandview Hwy, Vancouver. While at the diary section (where you display the butter and cheese), suddenly a heavy and huge cardboard sign, which was hung dangling overhead by wires from the ceiling, fell off and landed on the floor right in front of us, missing us by a mere couple of inches. As the sign was heavy and fallen from a significant height, it hit the ground in an earsplitting thud, sounding like a firecracker explosion. We were extremely lucky it missed us, albeit barely, or else we could easily be killed or severely injured by its impact. But the incident left me and my husband totally shaken, for days, and with recurring nightmares. I have to say Superstore was also extremely lucky that no one was injured this time. However, unless Superstore takes immediate action to remedy this unsafe and dangerous installation, a repeat incident might easily result with disastrous consequences. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.
As evidence, I have attached here 2 related photos. One shows the fallen sign on the ground, and the other the ceiling where the sign was hung from.
Sincerely,
Audrey Yan
Desired outcome: l would appreciate at minimum a response to my complaint, as well as remedial structural installations to avoid future accidents
Hi,
I posted my complaint on Oct 8. To date, I yet have to receive any response/acknowledgement from your organization. I am disappointed. However, I do sincerely hope that you have taken steps to avoid similar incidents from happening again. I would like to point out that the board that fell in front of me was not of the regular light-weight cardboard variety that your stores normally use for overhead signs, but startingly of an unusual heavy material, a plywood type. Again, I would like to emphasize that it was pure luck it missed hitting anyone.
Regards,
A. Yan

i have purchased honey crisp apples and at approx $2.00 an apple i would expect them to taste like honey crisp apples, totaling $12, they taste like chemicals?.
also i was in a rush and purchased a 3 pack of farmer market english cucumbers. i should know better. ever since you thought you would save the world by not wrapping single cucumbers to put in three pack the cucumbers go bad within 2 days. i am so tired of returning produce to superstore.
Employee harassment with customer
I would like to file a formal complaint regarding an incident with your employee Adriano this morning at 9:30am at the Real Canadian Superstore located on 3185 Grandview Hwy.
I was strolling my cart around the frozen ice cream section when I had to stop because Adriano had boxes blocking the aisle. I waited there as there was a small area to pass but he was standing in the way. He moved back 1 foot and told me to pass, but I mentioned to him there wasn't enough space as I would run over his foot with my shopping cart. He insisted that I move and commented "What's the matter, don't you know how to turn a cart?" I said that there wasn't enough room, and I would report him because he was rude. He defiantly said to go ahead so I did.
I spoke with Chevy the manager and request we all talk about the incident in person but he said that he would talk to Adriano in the back in private with his supervisor instead.
I don't like how this was handled as Adriano will probably just get a slap on the wrist and won't learn a thing. I would have preferred that he take ownership of his error and apologized in person. Can you look into this matter and get back to me.
Glen Kent
Desired outcome: An apology not from the manager but the employee or some sort of consequence so that Adriano will learn a valuable lesson to treat customers with respect.
Price matching
I use pc master card, with a spending of about thousand dollars, often more, every month. This morning excited, as my plan was to purchase a Ninja Air Fryer, a gift for my daughter. After my research, I found it at a less expensive price than superstore, so I went out to Superstore, checked the model number and was elated to find it in stock…went to customer service to price match this item and was told they would not price match. Only groceries. I do not shop at Superstore, any more as the prices are too high and I am a senior on a fixed income, but I still use my pc master card for all of my purchases. Of course, the reason for shopping at Superstore, for this item, was to use my points on my purchase. I do all my grocery shopping at Walmart, since the Pandemic, and now am wondering if I should switch my MasterCard to Walmart, as then I could have used my points to purchase the air fryer at Walmart. By the way the same item was less in price at most other stores. Superstore is taking advantage of the sad times we are in…
Bacon
The last 3 pkg on NN low salt bacon have been sour. Bought and put in freezer.
So tried the Smoke House purchased 4 pkg. Again into the freezer. 2 so far have been sour.
So unless they come from the same shipper or it is your Vernon, BC location is not keeping them properally cold.
I live 35 km away. And spend alot. Find the reason and fix it. Let me know
Desired outcome: Find out why ..... and fix it. And please let me know that the bacon should not be sour anymore. Please and Thank you
Carts
Last Sunday at 1:00 there was a cart lady who was very rude to customers. She should of not been so rude and bossy and she doesn't listen to anyone else. I Tried to grab a cart from her And she was rude about it She ran the cart into me and I said hey what are you doing other people saw it. So I went to the manager the manager did nothing about it. I think the girl should be fired.

I always notice the cashiers in Real Canadian Superstore Calgary always in hurry, the buyer or costumer is not finish yet packing the items or stuff in the plastic bags, then the cashier asking to pay the item right away.
Most of the time because the costumer is in hurry to pack, some item are damage or broken.
And some item they forgot to put in their grocery bag and left the store.
Not all costumer are young and healthy. Some of them are old and sick/ recovering from surgery and or having disability.
Desired outcome: Is it possible to give ample time the customer/buyer to pack the item/grocery item in the plastic bag before asking to pay.Thank you.
Customer Relations
I wish to complain about poor customer relations due to a decision made by 'Head Office'.
My complaint is in regards to the Superstore located on Harvest Hills Blvd in Calgary AB.
During the COVID lockdown it was decided to close the east access doors to this store and utilize only the west doors. The COVID lockdowns are long gone and yet I was told the 'head office' has decided to permanently make these doors inaccessible to your patrons. This begs the question why?
This store, as well it's parking lot, was designed and built with two access door locations and now only west door location is open.
1) The current decision as it stands now has effectively made the east half and the adjacent 'overflow' parking lot useless to patrons.
2) The east half of the parking has the most handicap parking stalls which are now usually empty and useless to patrons.
3) The limited handicap stalls on the west half of the parking lot are at a premium and as such are full most of the time.
4) The west half of the parking lot is the smallest portion of the parking and with west access doors the only option, all these parking stalls are at a premium and usually full which is causing people to wait in their vehicles for a stall to empty, which creates a chaotic, frustrating grid lock situation.
5) The truck unloading bay is in this portion and makes it an almost untenable situation for deliveries
Desired outcome: Leave the existing west access location open and restore the east access location to how it was before COVID and how the building was designed to operate.
human resources
Over the past seven months, I left over seven applications for a position at the superstore in Surrey. I applied online and dropped my resume off but I never got a response. There were several positions online and even a sign in the store. I can help but feel like my resume was overlooked because of my race. From my name, it is obvious that I am non-Indian/Asian.
There is no equity, diversity or equal opportunity at this company. And that is sad in this day and age.
Fraudulent Charge Allowed to go through
I noticed a charge come through on my credit card that I did not authorize from PC Express . ( which I learned later , was a pre authorization) After I brought it to the attention to the store Manager that is transaction what appeared to be from an online grocery order , was not mine , the charge went through the next day and the groceries were placed in...

2yr old cheddar cheese has been incorrectly priced over the past couple of months. Label price $14.49. Check out price $15.99. They did give me the cheese at a lower price. Two weeks ago there was no price on the fridge. Check out price still $15.99. Customer service spoke to the manager he could discount $1.50. I did not bother I was just frustrated with getting it price checked every time. Today again 2 weeks later still no price on the fridge. I did not question it I paid the $15.99 and I’m asking could you please let seton superstore in Calgary to please put a price on the fridge. Bad customer service. Yours sincerely Julia Dixon.
Real Canadian Superstore Pharmacy
Worst service ever ! My 89 year old mother has been getting her prescription filled here for over 10 years and the pharmacy has grown more incompetent with each passing year. Constantly and consistently missing the deadline to have her prescription ready on time. They have an entire month to prepare her next blister pack before she needs it and this is the third time she has to go without her pills because they are not ready on time. I will be holding you (superstore) responsible legally for any ill effect from her failing to take medication on time . This is completely UNACCEPTABLE !
Desired outcome: Please have her pills ready at least one week before they are required .
Theft in our local store
My wife and I were at The Real Canadian Superstore on Weston Road [2549 Weston Road, Toronto] early this afternoon. As per usual there's a panhandler hanging around the entrance door in the underground parking lot. Later this person headed into the store. My wife observed him taking a prepared meal and a six-pack of beer and headed out the door. Nobody stopped him. My wife asked to speak to the manager. He told her he was aware that this happens all the time. He said staff isn't allowed to ask for a receipt or search a suspected thief. They are supposed to call Loss Prevention. This group of people has an office in the lower portion of the facility. They never make it to the retail area by the time the suspected thief leaves. She was told all kinds of stories about other people stealing. It is incredible how much of this goes on. A cashier told us of a man that comes in every week and steals a microwave. She also told us about a man that comes in from time to time with a baby stroller. He fills the basket underneath with the $40.00 plus bottles of wine. Usually 20 of them. Covers the basket up and walks out the door. He was caught once. He ran out leaving his stroller behind. The store put the wine back on the shelf and put the stroller downstairs outside the door. Why do that? They say he has been back. Most thefts are usually beer and wine. The manager [nottheusual manager a fill-in] said the store probably loses $1,000 a day in theft. At the end who pays for this? Honest consumers like us. Since the Beer and Wine aisle was put in it, is ridiculous how much stealing is going on. We've seen it many, many times.
The area around the Superstore is active with panhandlers on most corners and even in front of store entrances. Since most people don't give them cash because they know what they want the money for, they resort to stealing in your store. We have been loyal customers of the store since it opened. We have observed many times since the beer and wine aisle went in, theft, and lots of it. If we can see it and others can see it, why hasn't something been done about it? If it were up to me, I'd remove the beer and wine aisle. After all, there is a Beer Store and an LCBO next to the store. It hasn't helped that the city has turned a nearby hotel into a homeless shelter. Those folks spread out over the area and steal. Your store isn't the only victim.
I hope you take this e-mail seriously. We are tired of seeing it happen and nothing seemingly never done about it. Go into the store, and talk to the cashiers, and they will tell you the same stories I did. We are concerned because, as I said before, honest people will have the cost of theft passed on to us through higher prices in general. James Conrad
Desired outcome: We would very much like to see the problem end.
Bad customer service
My husband and I were going thru the till at 10:43 this past Friday and after a good 10 min wait they finally opened another till just to find out that they had all tills collected and so we couldn’t pay with cash it had to be debit They didn’t do anything to inform the people in the line up. So while we waited for the other half dozen people ahead of us the lady informed the person ahead of us the debit only thing and I happen to over hear it. Well we only had cash on us so we had just wasted our time wandering around the store to find some stuff we could munch on for dinner on while on the road and standing in your line up just to find out it was for nothing. We were on our way back to PG and this quick stop to grab some food ended up being a total waste of time and very unprofessional customer service. Absolutely disappointed
Cashier
Was purchasing groceries and cashier in Yorkton (Holly) was rude and unhelpful when an item she missed was not checked out when identified to her. This happened last week when my family and children were present. She appeared to be distracted or tired. The item missed was a bag of sweet onions and a package of pork chops. The items were on the conveyor but she ignored me when I asked if she rang them in.
Desired outcome: Needs to be trained on customer service and to ask is that everything.
Superstore at 80 Bison dr. August 10/22
There’s been some issues with Superstore staff who works in groceries and at costumer service at 80 Bison dr. When I do comes to shop, have being harassed and intimidated. They are Bullies, but am not afraid of them, they are annoying just like flies. Mostly when am cashing out at the cashier, some one always showed up just to blocked me, provocations not...
