Greetings,
I would like to complain that there is a problem with no cashiers at the Shoppers in Strathroy, Ontario. Today I was told that cash registers were not worrking due to a software issue, while miraculously the self checkout was working. For the record, there is never a cashier! This is unacceptable that we are forced to use the self checkout and I would like something done about it. Part of the service at shoppers is the poeple and if you are unable to provide at least one cashier, I will gladly shop somewhere else and pursue my complaint on social media.
Thank you,
A frustrated customer
Desired outcome: Have at least one cashier in the store.
Prescription transfer
I moved and asked for my prescriptions to be transferred to the Shoppers close to my new home.
When I went into the Shoppers today to fill a prescription, I was told that there were no renewals left. I knew this was incorrect since I had checked online just that morning and there were plenty of fills left. When I politely tried to explain this the pharmacy lady took a print out and boldly circled zeros on it. I said that I didnt think this was a complete listing but was told I was wrong and didnt understand. I am a highly educated professional but was made to feel like an idiot. I was told that there was nothing that they could do,
I even got a text from the pharmacy saying I was wrong.
I went to my old pharmacy and they provided me with the 2 page printout of the prescriptions transferred, clearly showing that there was refills remaining. The pharmacist tried to explain this over the phone to the new pharmacy but they wouldnt listen. When he asked to speak to the pharmacist he was told they didnt know when he might be in and wouldnt leave a message.
I took the list to the new pharmacy and the staff complained that the old pharmacist was rude. She then said" what do you want, I will give you whatever you want." I replied that I just wanted to have the prescriptions on the list with refills to be filled.
I spend from 11:00 am until 2:30 driving back and forth and being humiliated by the staff at the new pharmacy.
I understand that mistakes happen, but this should not result in insulting customers.
I hope that my prescriptions will be there for pickup tomorrow.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology
Unprofessional Pharmacy team
Interaction started Friday Aug 5th and continued on August 9th, 11th and finished on August 12th The pharmacy team at this location is/are very unprofessional and not organized. Presented to have a test done and then was told to move to the side so that other clients (that came after me) can be taken care of. Proceeded to wait a bit and then asked again if...

Service representatives at the counter yelled at my mom for asking them to check on our prescription saying that it would take a whole day for it to be ready even though it is something they can just take off their counter. My mother is a healthcare professional so she knows where and how to get the treatments, but the pharmacy that the hospital she works at was far away so we tried this pharmacy and it was ridiculous no service skills or knowledge was displayed at all.
Desired outcome: I want an apology from the owner of the pharmacy after leaving voicemails asking him to get back to me he never did. I want to know that staff is getting proper training.
customer service at pharmacy
July 27th 720pm went to pickup my 15 monthly medications that are covered by Blue Cross. And I stated there was was a problem with my order ,which happens all the time, just then the person behind a computer screen on the other side of the room blurted out if your not happy here you should change pharmacies , to my disbelief I returned with I have been coming here for almost 15 years, you don't want my business and she retorted with ,your not happy with our service, so go somewhere else, after it was all said and done I asked for her name and she did so with a cocky, I'll give you my card and I said I'll remember your name for sure and it is ADIA, and this took place at 11800 Cambie road Richmond BC v6x 1l5 If I don't receive a personal apology from AIDA ,if that's how you spell it, I will promptly be changing providers.
Shoppers ripping me off
On July 7, I purchased $53.15 of after sale and senior discount and before tax goods. The clerk was obviously new and had to stop processing my transaction once to aid someone at self checkout and twice to call a manager to assist with something he didn't understand. I reminded him of the promotion where I should have received a $10 coupon but he was interrupted again and since there were now 7 customers behind me, I too was distracted and we both forgot.
Since I don't live close, I waited until the following week to hopefully resolve the issue. I explained the above to manager who tried to dismiss the issue saying it had to be before taxes ... and I showed her the receipt and demonstrated what I said above.
I also explained that (so far this year) I have lost over $50 worth of points and actual cash. One was that I paid cash for lottery tickets that the clerk also put on my credit card, two times it was that my purchases did not get into my bag and one other time when I didn't get a coupon.
The manager said that maybe I came too late and they had run out of coupons and when she realized the transaction was before noon finally just said there was nothing she could do and offered to give me a $10 coupon the next time the offer was available when I could come in and find her.
I left the store vowing to not shop there anymore.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology and minimally $50 worth of points.
I bought 2% milk from shoppers Drug Mart located at 2525 36th St Ne Calgary today . They refused to give me senior discount. I talked to store managers she said that the milk was on sale and no senior discount on sale items. I understand no discount on sale items. But everything other stores 2% milk regular price is $4.95. This store put the price at $4.94 and told me it’s on sale and didn’t offer discounts. Is that reasonable they are doing business like this . Also I think all shoppers stores in Calgary should be the same price of same products. Why this store is so special? They can reduce 1 penny to take off my 20% senior discount. Hope some one can give me an explanation.
Poor customer service
I just went to the store to buy perfume, there was a lady I spoke to helped me. I told her exact why I want and bought went ti home, when I opened it was wrong kind so I went back to the store for exchange, they told me their manger is on her vacation so I can’t exchange it. I need to come back Aug 1. I even asked is there any other person can helped me and they said no, I need yo come back Aug 1. I called customer care her name was Pretty said can’t help me. I think terrible management that Customer have to wait because they’re on vacation. I just wanted to buy product but they sold me wrong kind. Why do I need to wait for their mistakes. I need the answer please.Montrose Shoppers in Niagara Falls Ontario. Person sold me wrong thing was Ayah A. Thank you
Desired outcome: I want to exchange to what I wanted and don’t want to wait
Poor service at checkout
July 25, 2022 approximately 9:00pm. I was trying to make my purchase, only one cashier on duty serving other customers - tried self service check-outs. Half were out of order, so had to wait in line. Couldn't get the first 2 I tried to work. Tried the 3rd still no luck. I was very angry and frustrated by this time. Was about to just walk out of the store without buying anything when cashier, who was free by this point noticed what was happening and came over to help. Overall a rotten experience and turned a nice evening stroll into a tooth clenching experience - this is not the first time this has happened - I go to this location because its convenient but not if its going to ruin my day - I'd rather walk the extra few blocks to your competitor - fix your machines and have sufficient staff on hand or I'm sure I'll not be the only customer walking out
Candor vision hylo lubricating eye drops
Two days ago, I bought eye drops over the counter. However I purchased the wrong one. I didn't open the item, I went to return it the next day. But when I went to a shoppers near my area (2515 Bank St, Ottawa, ON K1V 8R9). A worker informed me the seal was slightly open and they will not accept it. The worker kept saying I opened it although never did. On...

It's atrocious what this retailer has become. There is a guard standing there watching you, because apparently everyone is a thief. There are no cashiers, just a guard hanging over you while you check yourself out.
Can't stand this nonsensical retailer anymore. It's deeply insulting to even enter the store.
If I will be thought a thief when entering your store, I will not enter it. I had no choice when I went, and it got way worse than I could have imagined.
Next year, I think they might have a sniper aiming at the self checkout.
I need to double my efforts to be sure I don't run out of anything, to ensure I never ever have to go into that insult again.
Desired outcome: Not be treated like a thief.
Request for optimum points
June 25 Saturday, I forgot my optimum card and bought an item at Shoppers 6975 Meadowvale Town Center. 3 days later June 28 Tuesday, I went back to the same store and requested for my optimum points to be earned. I spoke to the girl at self check out. She was rude and refused to do it. She told me it has to be done on that same day only. From my understanding, I have 7 days from the time of purchase to earn optimum points as long as I go to the same store of purchase. Other Shoppers did it for me before with no issues. I went back again to Meadowvale store and requested to speak with a supervisor. The self check out girl saw me and she started speaking with someone on the phone. I heard her saying she will not speak to me because she already said no. Another employee came out after that phone call, she said she was a supervisor but I think she was just a "pretend" supervisor. She was also rude and unprofessional! She added the points unwillingly as if she was doing me a big favor. This kind of behavior is unacceptable esp if you are in management level if she was indeed a supervisor. I'm attaching a copy of the points earned receipt. This receipt will provide you info of the person I talked to based on the employee# as shown on this receipt. I'm complaining about the inconsistency in the policy of earning points after purchase made but more importantly I'm complaining about the attitude, the rudeness of the 2 female employees I had to deal with that day.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology. I want management to talk to those 2 employees involved so they will be aware this complaint about them as soon as possible.
Shoppers taking away my rights to use my pc optimum card.
I am living on ODSP and I don't get much to live on. ODSP supplies me with the personal hygiene products that I need in my everyday life. How I get my supplies I need is I go to shoppers and load my supplies into my cart then I take them to the pharmacist checkout and they write down all my supplies and scan them into the cash register and the receipt then gets sent to ODSP for their payment..ODSP deducts that amount from my monthly allowance so I am paying for my supplies. I have always been able to collect PC optimum points for my purchases up until early June 2022 when shoppers decided to refuse to offer PC optimum points for my purchases on my ODSP supplies..It costs Shoppers drug mart nothing to offer these points, they lose nothing at all..I save my points from my supplies points to buy food to get through a month, now they taken that away from me ..I am seriously considering changing to another pharmacy all together.. this is ridiculous that they took these points away from ODSP customers when we have always been allowed to collect.. in the photo below it shows the points I collect for my purchases..
Desired outcome: I want my shoppers drug mart in Brockville ontario to give me back my points..
Store manager / customer service
I had the displeasure of visiting the Shoppers at 2815 Eglinton Ave, Mississauga ON L5M7H6 Canada. Where one of the managers (Elaine) was disrespectful when I called about a product I had just purchased hours prior, I tried to explain to her that the product (Nexcare patches) was missing 36/72 pieces and I had only come to notice after opening the pack to apply a couple. I couldn't get much out because she interrupted me mid-sentence multiple times saying "return it." Nothing else, just those two words over and over. And so I rushed all the way back to the store, just 10 mins shy of closing, in hopes of dealing with someone less abrasive. I spoke to a girl at cash and asked if I could just grab another pack as I've already used this packet and it isn't my fault they put a faulty item on the floor. She said she would have to ask the manager on duty; which I later found out was Elaine. Unfortunately, she is just as awful in person, she approached me and said "What are you talking about? Did I not say you can just return it?" to which I replied, "You want me to return it, even though I've used it and it's faulty?" as to which she replied with "It's either that or you can exchange it". I went with the latter, grabbed my stuff, and left. Don't think I'll bother shopping at this location again, and would be surprised nonetheless if she hasn't already gotten complaints about the sour look she wears around the store and the [censored] customer service she provides.
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response and would like an apology.
Being refused entry in a store before closing time
I showed up at the Shoppers drug mart at 125 The Queensway in Etobicoke Ontario at 11:55pm on June 24th, 2022. The store advertised hours are that it closes at midnight. I rushed to get medicine for my sick child and I was refused entry. I knew exactly what medicine I needed and it would have taken me a minute to pick it up. They had locked the doors. The manager was rude and did not even bother to listen.

At 12:23:45 on Jun 18 2022 I purchased a visa $100 gift card at the 10800 Bayview Ave. Store . When I got home to register my card I found out the card that was activated was not the card I recieved. I phoned the store and told them about my problem. He said that I should phone Shoppers complaints at [protected] and that they at the store couldn't do anything. I phoned and went through all the automated stuf to be told by a machine that the department I needed was closed. GREAT customer service byb the way! NOT!
The receipt says the card that was activated was xxxxxxxxxxxx1185. When I opened the sealed card package at home I got a card number [protected]. How could this happen unless the girl that sold the card had TWO cards in her hand? Why would she have two cards unless she intended to steal the $100 of my purchase? By the time I make this complaint the swindler has already availed herself of the $100 stolen from me.
Desired outcome: I want the $100 restored to me and the culpret charged with theft. I cannot see how this was done without intent. My resolve is to NEVER shop at Shoppers again.

Bought the card on May 3rd in-store. It's a gift card from a company called Riot Games, for league of legends. My card wasn't properly activated and it has been a nightmare so far to try and get it activated. It's been a month and customer support is not helping me with my issue. I have contacted both shoppers and riot multiple times and neither is being particularly useful. I made a case file over 3 weeks ago and I was told I'd be called. Please do something.
Desired outcome: FULL ACTIVATION OF MY CARD
ID photo service
Hi,
I urgently needed to print some ID pictures for my daughter yesterday evening.
Google map was listing that kind of service at my local Shoppers so I went there. In the store, I found what looked like a self printing small booth.
Nobody around it. I legitimately thought it was self service. I proceeded to print a set of ID photos that I had I brought with me on USB Key.
I was surprised to see two sets of two photos being printed.
Only when I was done, a staff member rudely inform me that I was not supposed to touch the machine even though nothing on or around it specifies that it is for staff member use only. The person at the cashier a little further even did make eye contact with me as I was using the printer and didn't think necessary to engage a dialogue.
Then I proceeded to the cashier to pay for the photos. I was outraged to see that I was getting charged for 2 sets of photo ID when I only clicked once for printing and for the total price of $51.95.
I suspect that this price is supposed to be for an employee taking a picture of the customer, then print it and probably even cut it to the right format.
I literally walked to the booth, printed my own pictures from a USB key without the intervention of a staff member and have to pay $51.95 for that?!?!
That's a little steep for two small sheets of photo paper and a bit of ink.
It was late and I didn't have the time nor the will to get into an argument for this poor service or lack thereof, that costed me this outrageous amount of money.
Desired outcome: A refund of the bill attached to this complaint.
