Gift card
I purchased a "David's Tea" gift card loaded with $50.00 as a Christmas present for my daughter.
She is no longer able to tolerate tea.
I took it back to exchange for another gift card and was told they couldn't do it. I had asked for a refund so I could purchase a different card.
I said you must, I paid "cash" for it, used credit card but it amounts to the same thing.
She advised basically that it goes without saying that gift cards cannot be returned. I asked where it states that, she said on-line.
I said if there's no sign in store they cannot enforce this and I stand by it.
Why can it not be returned? I'm sure Shoppers can return it to the establishment for full refund or am I mistaken?
I dealt with Yasmin who claimed to be the manager although I've never seen her before in all the years I've been a customer at that store* - since it was built.
Yasmin was also very rude about the whole thing, treating me like I was an idiot, which of course riled me further.
I had her write her name down for me - she wrote down the number 1800 beside it, store # perhaps?

I've never had such an issue with any of the staff at this store (or any other for that matter).
I'm quite upset about the situation and would like it rectified.

P.S.
I had took back another item within 2 days and after I tapped my card for the refund she asked to see the card.
I've never had to do this before, is there a reason?
Desired outcome: Money back - I purchased a different gift card for my daughter - also teach the manager how to interact with customers.
Sexist email flyer
Shoppers sent an email titled "Choose kindness. Choose caring." which ironically contained the least kind, least caring messaging I've seen in a very long time.
First, it says "Put women's health first." First ahead of whom else? Men? Non-binary? That is terribly sexist. If you want to promote women's health issues, that's great. But they aren't any more important than anybody else's health. That female superiority, not equality.
Second, the program is only to raise donations to help women impacted by homelessness. Homelessness does not have a gender, and if it did it would be male. 73% of homeless people are men.
So you've taken a topic for which there is no reason to divide ny gender -- you can help all homeless people regardless of gender -- decide to genderize it, and do so to help the smaller number of homless people.
The message is loud and clear; Shoppers Drug Mart doesn't give a damn about the health or suffering of men. You literally describe men's health as second rate, and ignore the vast majority of suffering homeless because of their gender.
You are bigots. You've lost a customer.

Covid safety
Shoppers allowed to shop with masks. Baskets are not cleaned. Hand sanitizer on wall dispenser at entrance/exit door is empty and should be checked frequently. Why security guard if no enforcement of masks. They can ask but apparently can't do anything about it if customer doesn't put one on, cashier said. Floor markers at cash should be in place. Maskle...

I purchases a few hundred dollars in what was supposed to be fuel cards for esso however apparently I got price priviileges cards instead these are not much good to me and I would really appreciate to be able to exchange them for the correct item
I really feel that these are very misleading and that they should be explained to when people are purchasing this is a lot of money that I spent on these and they are really not much good I used 1 when I filled up and it took off $3 I still had to pay for my gas on top when I thought I would have enough on the card to pay for gas.
This is christmas and we are in a pandemic it is really hard to get money for gifts then to be scammed like this its not right and all im am getting is the run around telling me that sorry cards are final sale. I am pretty sure that someone somewhere should be able to fix this as I said I feel that these are very misleading I thought I was getting a deal and getting $50 worth of gas for paying $40 and as it turns out I have wasted all this money. I only use a tank of gas a month so these will never all get used
Service / buying a stamp
Good day: Today my wife returned home from Shoppers drug mart on Westmount drive in Orillia Ontario. She went there to buy stamps and was treated very badly along with the rest of the people in line. This is not acceptable. The woman behind the counter of the post office was loud and very ignorant, so ignorant the woman that worked in the pharmacy noticed and came over to my wife and apologized when she was leaving.
The post office was out of books of stamps so my wife wanted to buy individual stamps which seemed to tick off the woman that worked there. She yelled "you will have to pay more for individual stamps, you know that don't you" and my wife said it didn't matter and that again ticked off the woman.
I know everyone is under stress with the covid and it being xmas, but this woman that works at the post office should not be dealing with the public.
We will avoid this pharmacy in the future.

Service
Bad service.
A month ago I called in my credit card so that my prescriptions could be delivered.
I have been going to this Shoppers drug Mart for over 50 years. I usually pick up myself but with Covid 19 I thought that I would take advantage to their delivery.
I was called in because the clerk did not record my credit card properly.
I went to pick it up. The owner was there and he was angry at me for some reason, I was not happy because they could not find my prescription. It turned out that it was sent for delivery. the owner was very rude to me and wanted to talk further to me. I am not well and have only so much energy. I politely declined and as I walked away I said that he would never renew any prescriptions for me.
Today I was called by a clerk to say that they had insulin for me and ask if I had ordered it. I said that I did not.
They the clerk said that in any case his boss m amro pharmacy ltd #1544 416 491-2277, would no longer fill my prescription!
Is there anything you can do to continue there. M6y MD. Dr. Chiu [protected] has my medications list and orders there.
I had an attack of anxiety about that phone call that came out of nowhere and I am not well.
Can you help me please?
Please get back to me and let me know.

thanks you so much.

I write to report an incident which occurred at the TD Core, Calgary, Alberta, location on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at approximately 11:07 a.m. on this day.
At approximately 11:02 a.m., I accessed the above featured location via the LRT entrance to the store. I made my way straight to the lottery stand to check a Western 649 ticket for the previous nights draw and did not stop along the way to inspect or handle any store items. I was able to check a lottery ticket I had in a plastic wallet I kept in my pant pocket via a lottery ticker scanner mounted at the lottery ticket stand.
At some point, I noticed a sales associated standing directly behind and facing me. After I'd finished checking my ticket, I returned this item to my plastic wallet and then began to make my way to exit doors situated at the mall entrance to the store. At some point I noticed the female sales associate following me for a very brief period and then stopping. I also noticed a female East Indian security guard making her way from the front end mall entrance side of the store to the other end. I passed this guard while making my way to the exit doors.
At some point the female guard turned and followed me and just as I was about to exit the doors, she stopped me and requested to see what was inside my pocket. This guard alleged that she saw me "put something in my pocket". Being taken aback by this allegation and being reasonably upset by it, I refused her request for her to search me. She however responded by stating that if I did not show her what was inside my pocket that she would "call the police." At this point I knew that I had no choice but to show this individual what was inside my pocket, besides I was not permitted to leave the store until I did.
I asked to speak to the manager. When B. Advisor, Maria (this employee did not provide me with her full name) attended the scene I explained to her how upon entering the store from the LRT entrance side I headed straight to the lottery ticket stand to check a lotter ticket. I also explained how I kept this ticket in a plastic wallet. I however emptied all my pockets one by one in order to satisfy the guard's suspicion that I'd taken nothing from the store. This was all done on the shop floor and in plain via of other customers. I was quite embarrassed at having to display the contents of my pockets in the manner described.
During the process of emptying my pockets I asked the guard to tell me what she saw me put in my pocket, but she did not respond. Since I was wearing a parka coat on this occasion, I emptied my two side coat pockets and the pockets to the pair of pants that I was wearing.
At one point a male security Guard of East Indian ancestry attended the scene. After I had emptied all my pockets and since there was no evidence to suggest that I had taken anything from the store, neither Maria nor the two guards provided an apology. There was also no incident report completed with appropriate details provided for me to contact should I have any concerns. Infact I had to ask Maria for her name and that to the female guard. Even at some point the male guard insisted that I tell him why I needed these details.
However this is not the only time that I have been harassed by store security while shopping or visiting the store and this experience goes back to several years. These persons would keep me on rigorous scrutiny at all times and would occasionally appear on the shop floor within a short while of my arrival. In this regard, I would need to know if my name is featured in a facial recognition database of some sort to effect this level of attention that I received while at the store.
Since the guard had assumed that I had taken something from the store she insisted that I subject myself to a search and would not let me go until I'd done so.
Since the guard in question did not contact the manager at her own urging and since she'd failed to review relevant CCTV prior to searching me and since she'd threatened to call the police should I not cooperate, I am of the view that my rights were violated. I would therefore ask the company to investigate the matter.
Refusal to give me my package from. The postal service inside
November 19, 2020 when I went to shoppers store number 454 around 12:20pm for picking up a package from the post office dealer inside, I did not have a mask on as I cannot breath properly in a mask and kindly let the lady know that I am exempt from where a mask. She said she needs to see a paper and I said I don't have any upon which she said I can't enter...

I purchased an Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet as a gift for my husband's elderly aunt on October 29, 2020 from Shoppers Drug Mart, Mohan Joshi Pharmacy Ltd., 1875 Lansdowne St, Peterborough, Ontario.
I spoke to two different male employees in the digital department about the tablet before deciding to purchase it. At no time did either of them mention that I couldn't return it if it was opened.
A cashier took me through self-checkout ensuring that I got the senior's discount, and she didn't mention the return policy either.
Upon opening the package to set up the device for my husband's aunt, I realized that she would have to have an Amazon account so it was not acceptable for her to use (too complicated as she will be 90 next month).
I tried to return the tablet today at the same store but was told that I couldn't return it because the package had been opened. No one told me about that policy and it is not on the receipt (attached). The receipt actually says, "Retain receipt for return within 30 days." The cashier told me to contact Amazon!
I spoke to a manager who said "Well that's our policy. It's on our web site." I told him that I had spoken to three employees that day and not one of them told me that I couldn't return it if it had been opened, even though I mentioned that it was a gift! He still refused to let me return the tablet. I just want to return the tablet and get my money back.
I've actually gone to Best Buy and bought a better tablet.
I was racially profiled by the worker, at the casher, by coming in to my space when I was at the self checkout.
My name omer ibrahim email [protected]@gmail.com no November 11-2020 @12.45pm afternoon, I was shoppers on Seymour st in Vancouver, when when the cashier not only humiliated, and because I am a black man that she came over to me. now I had white man that was not wearing a mask was behind me, and he stars a problem with calling me names and want to fight...
Read full review of Shoppers Drug MartTheft of my pc optimum points
200,000 points were stolen by someone at a shoppers drug mart location I do not go to. The event happened on or about november 11, 2019.
Shoppers would have the transaction record and possibly video of the culprit but did not pursue the matter.
Shoppers and pc optimum do not have a strong enough process to validate the redemption of the points. This is something visa or mastercard would not tolerate and would clearly compensate the victim for.
Both shoppers and pc optimum have not responded to many inquiries and refused to help. I have sent numerous emails and tried to call (no one should have to stand for wait times of over 20 minutes). Again deplorable customer service.
I am reaching out to have those points reinstated.
My next step would have to be a complaint to ontario's the consumers affairs.
This is a travesty that shoppers should reimburse me for the theft.
Flu shot and pharmacy
I have attempted to get a flu shot and faced large line ups and out of stock.
I registered online with my info and received an email with a bar code.
Today I visited the Shoppers on Greenbank Road in Ottawa with no line ups. There was no clear indication of the instore registration format, a nice customer told me the counter I needed to go to as he had been not directed and took him awhile to have the correct counter. No lineups inside. When I went to register I was told it would be one hour as prescription priority. Then another pharmacy clerk spoke out it would be 2 hours. There was 4 people there for a shot. I spoke to store manager to better understand your policy as clearly it was not case last week or maybe it was the reason for the wait.
I was told by manager to make a time specific appointment which then pharmacy said there wasn't. manager told me it would secure my shot.
Clearly this all does not seem reasonable no clear.
Maybe a company your size could could make sure that people/ customers who are now depending on you could have clear guidelines and set expectations.
I find it hard to believe prescription should be prioritized with prescription filling.

Philips bottle warmer
Purchased philips bottle warmer two days before. I am not satisfied with the product and try to return at the shoppers store. They claim the sales are final and do not accept and returns for the third party products. Why do they sell in the first place and do not mention anywhere they do not accept the returns. The assistant manager (Jasleen) was not all helpful and even dont care when we urge to help us. She even do not bother to speak to us without emptying a shelf.
Inexperience vaccination administrator, poor hygiene, rude personnel
On October 13 I went to shoppers drug mart to have a flu shot administered. On entering the pharmacy area there were 3 or four lines in progress none of the clients were clear as to which line was for the flu shot registration, covid test, prescription drop off/pick-up there were so many people, no room for social distancing. I waited for 45 minutes till I...

As seniors and having been Brampton Ontario customers for over 50 years but it's almost impossible to contact our store by phone to simply ask if our prescription that was sent in by our doctor is ready for pickup. We waited over 15minuettes listening to all kinds of music and repeat messages before hanging up in total frustration. Please please please make it simpler by having them notify us when its ready for pickup.
We thank you for your response.

I am visiting this town for summer and decided to do some shopping. Unfortunately, witnessed an employee yelling at her co-workers that day. I tried to finish grabbing all the stuff I needed but I feel so uncomfortable that I choose just to leave the store. I feel upset and sorry for those ladies being scolded. No plans of coming back to that branch.
