manager at this location
Shoppers drug mart Hwy 7 and Martin Grove, Vaughan On
On Thursday 05/09/2019 at 9:30 pm I went into this location to upload money on my presto card. The cashier told me that they shutdown the presto machine. However, she said she'd contact her manager. She called and disclosed to the manager that I was at the front and needed to upload my card to get home. The manager refused to turn the machine back on.
Very unprofessional and lack of customer care, especially since it was no where near closing time to have had the presto machine turned off. Please contact me at [protected]@hotmail.com to discuss further.
abusive manager nancy at 3003 danforth ave toronto ontario shoppers drug mart
Items marked on shelf for $6.99 scanned for $12.49. Caucasian white female cashier with no name tag made us wait for over 20 minutes. Caucasian white female assistant manager and merchandiser Nancy refused to honor the publicly posted Price -accuracy -guarantee as per which customer gets incorrectly scanned item for free. When we politely requested Nancy to Cease and Desist from repeatedly interrupting us, she publicly yelled at us: "[censored]ing Immigrants! I am in charge here. Get out of my store, or I will call the police and get you arrested ".
We have received no satisfactory resolution to our complaint from the Pharmacist/Owner Mr. Romeo Vandenburg of this 3003 Danforth Avenue, Toronto Shoppers Drug Mart store and neither from the head office of Shoppers Drug Mart.

delay in filling prescriptions
I have been dealing with Shoppers Drug Mart in Timmins Ontario (227 Algonquin Blvd West store #0671) for 20 plus years. I have a good benefit plan that pays for all my prescriptions and i am presently on quite a few medication for diabetes as well as high blood pressure. My complaint is tjat over the last year everytime i have gone to my Doctor to have him renew my prescription it takes days for them to fill it an most of the time its only once i am there to pick it up. Im told come back or wait 15 to 2p minutes when my prescriptoon jas been there for days. Today i lost it cause the last 3 times ive had prescriptions filled theres been delays. This time my doctor faxed it on Tuesday today is Thursday and when i called to check cause im tired of showing up there to be told to wait while they just start to prepare it. Tonight i was told it would be ready in an hour when i got there it still was not ready and was only syarted on now that i was there requesting it. I went last week to get a different medication and was told it was recoved off the fax and that no one had printed up the labels to actually fill the medication. But the one before was the worse i went to my Doctor and this time i needed 3 or 4 prescriptions filled he faxed them tjrough but he has been ill and forgot to sign them...so i go in a week later expecting to get my medication and i am told the prescription is sitting on the fax cause its not signed. I had to call my doctor the next morning and have him refaxed my prescriptions. Why on earth would no on from the pharmacy do this? I had no way of k owing that it wasnt signed! The doctor obviously didnt realise his mistake! The pharmacy knew it and just chose to ignore the fax and leave it. Now ive gone 2 days without 1 of my blood pressure medications. While at shoppers tonight i checked my blood pressure it was 159/101 which is pretty high! I have a life i have things to do i dont have tome to keep going back and forth to the pharmacy nor do i have time to wait on the phone for over 20 minutes for them to just pick up the phone to tell me if my prescription is ready. Im getting very fed up and i am ready to just fimd another pharmacy and there are other shoppers in town but i guarantee you if i switxh pharmacies i will never deal with a shoppers drug mart again. This is just un acceptable. And another thung that has happened was when i went to pick up another one of my blood pressure medications i went in cause my doctor was off sick and his office wouldn't be open for another week but i was out of my blood pressure medication (viacoram). I k ow that for $15 fee the pharmacist will write a prescription for certain meds if you need them refilled. I started to explain to the clerk at the cash that i was out and was wondering if the pharmacist would wrote me a prescription...i could barely get the words out before she cut me off and said no they won't do that . i said oh why not ive had them do it before? She them says oh well it will cost $15 yes i knew that as i said ive had it done before. I had already been without the medication for 2 days which i tried to explain to her ...so she asked the pharmacist to fill it...after iwaited a few minutes she came nack amd told me theu were out of that medication. I said oh ok well when will it be in...she shakes jer head walks away and says ya i dont know call back tomorrow. So the nexxt morning i called back to complain the person i spole with was very understanding and said she would check i to seeing if she could get it from another pharmacy. Within 5 minutes she called back saying my prescriptions was filled and ready to be picked up. Why could the clerk from the day before not do this? You k ow its not like im complaining about a pizza that took to long. Its medication thats needed for our health there should not be any delay in getting it whem it is needed. Like i said i am ready to take my business else where...and im on alot of medication i take 3 for high blood pressure and 3 for diabetes as well as the lancets and glucose test strips for my glucometer if thats not enough tomake you feel that im worth retaining as a customer then i will go with another pharmacy that will value my business

Optimum No. [protected]
I went to pay for 2 Chanel lipsticks and groceries (pop, chips, etc).
I was told by the cashier, Suely that I am only allowed to purchase 1 lipstick.
I responded that I have purchased more than 1 lipstick at a time in the past at your store and at other stores.
She responded that it's a new rule that changes everyday and some cashiers have been fired over it. She then told me to go purchase them at the other stores.
I asked to her to check with the manager. She called someone who called back and presumably said that I could only buy one. I said I would buy one and my boyfriend would buy the other one.
She rung in one lipstick in along with a package of Royale papertowels which I told her was not mine. She then walked away saying she would not help me and that someone else would.
I waited a few minutes and asked her if someone was coming. She said that person was on break and I would have to wait until she gets back. After a few minutes, I asked her when the other person would be back, she did not answer, repeating that I would have to wait until she gets back.
While waiting, Suely said "Don't come back to this store when I am here".
She then helped another customer at another cash register on the other side of the counter. Is this not discriminatory to not serve the person who arrived first?
I then asked the cashier supervisor from the other side of the store for assistance. While I was explaining what happened to him, she continued to talk over us in a loud voice. The supervisor and I had to ask her to let me finish talking.
I told the supervisor that my boyfriend would purchase the second lipstick and she escalated again. She repeatedly said "Make sure he uses his own Optimum card and pays with a different card", as if he didn't have one.
I suggest that for the purpose of customer retention, front line staff should receive adequate training in customer service.

pharmacy hours
This shoppers pharmacy was the only 24 hour pharmacy open in Barrie, and has now changed their hours to only be open until 11 or 12 at night. This is extremely inconvenient as there is now nowhere to get medication or pharmacy drugs. This shouldn't be acceptable and there should always be something open and available to get medication for when kids or anyone is sick. It shouldn't be about money, it should be about accessibility of medication for anyone that is sick. It's extremely disappointing and it shows that you don't care about the well being of your customers, which is what a "drug mart" should care about.
Why does anyone need drugs in the middle of the night?
pharmacy
I object to the verbal questions I'm asked when I pick up a prescription at the Pharmacy counter. I'm verbally asked my date of birth, name, address and phone number where everyone in line can hear me answer. This is a violation of my privacy and perhaps we should all be given a card with this information that we can show to it can be verified by the information in Shoppers system. What else can be done to prevent the consumer giving verbal answers?
refusing to provide official receipt for prescription
The pharmacist at 620 King St W, Hamilton, ON L8P 1C2 is refusing to consider my orders as prescription even thought there is one and refusing to issue the normal official tax receipt that comes with them. I have complained and they are telling me that it is an over the counter order... since when type 1 prescription of insulin and other accessories related to my pump over the counter. This is serious and needs to be dealt with.
racial profiling/repetitive harassment
The issue stems from a series of events, repetitive harassment in the dorm of security using illegal racial profiling to identify potential shoplifters. In this case First Nations People in the city of Timmins Ontario. I noticed he was circlinge on this occasion after I made my way to the product I was getting. I then proceeded to cash line up where he stood and watched me consistently and I then approached him to ask him for I'd number or name and voiced my concern of the repetitive incidents that I myself experienced of being singled out and followed by staff. I stated it was racial profiling and never once raised my voice or behaved inappropriate. He then began to approach me at the cash, and asking how what and when he did so. I did not want to have the conversation as he was already acting sarcastic and asked him to leave me alone. He then circled cash and began to stare at me aggressively and attempt to intimidate when I asked the cashier to have him stop and step away as he was now between me and the exit. That's when another cashier who was not serving started telling across the cash's rudely and I told her that I will be calling her boss and she replied I will first as to say my complaints were unjustified. All this is on video and hopefully there is audio as well as I've done no wrong. The cashier was over all the one who was the worst. I'm not going to sit idly by and allow first nations people be be little by the staff anymore and will be awaiting your response. I have several other victims if this illegal activity to come forward if further action is needed

This is the second absurd complaint about racism from someone claiming it's based on being "First Nation".
store exchange policy at shoppers drug mart
on April 26, around 8:00pm, I wento shopper drug mart at 8965 Chinguacousy Road
Brampton, ON, I ask the cashier at the checkout that I would like purchase 3 lines of tonight lotto max tickets, which come out to $15, the cashier ask me if I want 3 plays, which I thought she mean if I want to purchase 3 line of tonight tickets. after I play $15 for the tickets, I realize she had print out a one line ticket to be play for 3 weeks draw, I told her that I would like 3 line tickets for tonight draw instead of what she print out for me, I ask if I can cancel the ticket that she print out for me, and give me a 3 line ticket i stead, but she told me that she can not cancled the ticket because the ticket were pay by credit card. and the money can not be withdraw from the system. I told them there were several occasions I purchase the wrong lotto ticket at other stores include other shpper drug mart store and all other stores is alway able to cancled the ticket and reissue a new ticket for me without any problem, I spend close to 15 min. try to explain the situation to the cashier and store manager without success, I do not understand how this store opperate their business that does not allow the customer to refund or exchange for customer need, the no exchange or refund policy of lotto ticket is unbelievable. I am sure this is will be my last time to purchase anything from this shopper drug mart, it is such bad experience.

pharmacy
Every time i go into the pharmacy at bathurst and Rutherford there is a russian lady named Ellana, she is so rude and her and the pharmasist Victoria think they can talk to customers so rudly. Ive been going there for years and have only stayed because of Simon and his other wonderful staff. Ive been considering going to another pharmacy because of those two ladies now I am. Its time to go some where I feel they are happy to get my business.

expiration date passed
Bought a probiotic ibs support suppement with a 3 month passed expiration date at shoppers, drug mart, locagtion: 6428 yonge street, north york, on, m2m 3x4.
3 months passed the bbd is a long time and I find it unprofessional and non-safe to be selling such products. Moreover, it takes time and money to get back to one of your locations and exchange in.in addition, this is not the first time I have bought a prpduct with a passed bbd.

cashiers
Once when I had visited Vancouver, I happened to stay there for a month due to my cousin's marriage. Ive usually noticed that the cashiers are not given a place to sit and they are standing for long hours. You should respect the people working in your space and provide them with great facilities such as a very small commodity like a chair. I hope next time when I come to Vancouver, I can see them sitting when they don't have a customer on the cashier table.
scanning code of practice
I was charged incorrectly at the store today and when I went back in the cashier called the manager Brian who said they no longer give the first item free and that I would have to be charged the sale price of the item or not have it at all. I was refunded the amount of 18.81 which should have then been the end of it as you can see with the rules in the...
Read full review of Shoppers Drug Mart and 1 commentgift card
My brother purchased a $50.00 gift card for me from a Shopper's Drug Mart in Uxbridge. Unfortunately, the staff at the store failed to scan the card in correctly, and when I went to use the card at a Home Depot, it didn't work. The Shopper's location also failed to provide a receipt with the gift card.
I contacted customer service on August 24, 2018 to notify them of this issue. They asked for a bunch of information re: where the card was purchased from, method of payment, last four digits, approximate total cost of transaction, and so on.
This information was then provided and I heard nothing. I followed up on October 22, 2018, November 16, 2018, January 6, 2019, and March 20, 2019. No answer. I called back in on March 20, 2019 and spoke with another customer care rep who promised this issue would be dealt with and they would call me back. By April 19, 2019, I still had heard nothing. I called back yet again, and was placed on hold while they "reviewed my file". I was left on hold for 35 minutes and they then hung up on me.
This is truly the most atrocious customer service I have ever encountered. It goes beyond mere incompetence and seems almost deliberate.
Shoppers, you an absolute joke. I will never spend another dime in one of your stores.
Most likely your brother took the card off the shelf without paying for it thinking it would be already loaded. Trust me I tried the same thing for another card does not work.
customer service - cashier:thana
Hello there,
I went to location in Dixie - 4141 Dixie Rd. Mississauga, On L4W1V5 on Thursday, April 18 to purchase heavy cream/whipping cream. While I was looking for the whipping cream I noticed that nothing on any of the shelves. I saw a staff around and asked if they have any whipping cream, without looking at me she just said, "look over there" pointing at the dairy section. I checked again but nothing. I went to baking ingredients aisle to see maybe it was there what I was looking for but nothing. I also grabbed a sack of rice as it had a $10 off. As I was paying on the self check-out, I had to enter the discount code but I didn't know how. I saw the same staff and asked how to enter the code, instead she said, "this isnt on sale!" then took out the stickers from the bag. She then call one her co-workers and asked if the rice was on sale and he said not but He then went and checked. Two minutes later he came back and asked me if there was any damage on the sack, when he checked he saw the damage and told the staff to give me the $10 off; she insisted that it wasnt on sale and wouldnt give me the discount but the other staff she has to since it had tape and damage on the bag. She asked me rudely to go to her cash, "can you come here". I told her to be polite when asking, instead she just ignored and pretended not to hear what I said. As I was paying she asked for my card to swipe, while giving me the debit machine she just dropped it as if she threw it at me. At the end of the transaction, she never did say sorry nor thank you! This kind of behaviour is very unreasonable - I understand that everyone wants to finish their job and leave on time but with this kind of customer service was very unprofessional and unacceptable! From the time I asked her where the whipping cream was and up to the time she was cashing me out was very unpleasant! I hope you will make an action towards this cashier — Thana with her behaviour towards customers! I would like to be contacted please!
Thank you!

complaint - employee
Hi Shoppers Drug Mart,
First of all, I'd like to Thank You for your time. I hope someone cares because no one cared. I am not sure who to bring my concern to, and if I directed to you incorrectly, I hope you can for the least, help me direct my concern to someone who can be in charge for a resolution and someone who sincerely cares. I am writing to bring to your attention regarding my extremely upsetting and furious experience with a Canada Post Employee and Shoppers Drug Mart Employee, located inside the Shoppers Drug Mart located at 1720 Bur Oak Ave. We not only were accused of possibly stealing parcels, we were also treated with extreme disrespect and attitude.
I purchased an item on Amazon.ca and mailed it as a gift under the Amazon "gift option" to deliver it to a Canada Post Location, so the Recipient can receive the gift I purchase for them at the Canada Post address. This is an option/feature Amazon has and have done it countless times when I use it to send gifts. I have never encountered an issue until today with Sam, he claims he is the Manager at Canada Post.
When my Recipient provided a valid Government ID that matches the Name on the parcel, Sam refused to allow my Recipient to pick up the parcel because he stated 3 reasons:
1) The billing address is not my Recipient's address (although the Name on the parcel matches)
Reason provided to Sam, but he did not accept: Recipient provided screenshots of tracking number from Amazon.ca, screenshots of Amazon Pick Up Location for Her, Her Name as Recipient on the package from Amazon.ca Canada Post Tracking and screenshot showing that it is a gift order sent to Her (using Canada Post address/Amazon pick up location) by me (my billing address). I also talked to Sam over the phone explaining the situation, but Sam tone of voice continues to be rude and refused to listen and implies that we're probably stealing parcels. Who's Driver's Licence will have an Amazon Pick Up Location/Canada Post address? How are we stealing parcels?
2) The address on the Parcel is not my Recipient's address.
Reason provided to Sam, but he did not accept: Again, in-person and over the phone, my Recipient (the person who I sent the Parcel to) and I (Sender of the parcel) explained the Sam that the address was sent to this Amazon Pick Up Location/Canada Post. The address would be the Amazon Pick Up location/Canada post. My Recipient's Government ID will not have the Amazon Pick up Location/Canada post Address on the ID, which is normal. The most important thing is, the ID matches the parcel, and our screenshots showed all proof of the purchase, gift order, sender name, sender address, Recipient name, Recipient pick up location (Amazon pick up location/Canada Post) tracking #. Sam continues to rudely refused to release the parcel and raised his tone and said stop pushing him, while we are calmly explaining the situation. Who's Driver's Licence will have an Amazon Pick Up Location/Canada Post address?
3) He has to get off work.
Concern: After 1.5 hours during my work time to try and have Sam release the parcel to my Recipient (with all proofs and IDs), I (the sender) called Canada Post to explain the trouble Sam is giving us. Canada Post said Sam has NO reason to hold my package. I also contacted Amazon and Amazon also said the Employee should not hold the parcel because the ID and Parcel Name is a match. Canada Post provided me with a ticket number. The Canada Post Agent said since Sam has no reason to not release the parcel since Name on ID and Name on Parcel matches, he will have to release it. We gave Sam the Canada Post Ticket Number to release. He called Canada Post and while put on hold, he said he has to leave because it is past his work hours. Lynn from Shoppers Drug Mart came over to disconnect the phone call with Canada Post.
After 1.5 hours of explanation and asking Sam why he would not release the parcel since Canada Post already said as long as the ID and parcel Name match is good for release, he rudely with a raised tone of voice, he would not give a valid reason and refused to listen to our explanation. It took 1.5 hours out of my two people's time, my Recipient who is there to pick up the gift parcel, and I the sender of the parcel. This is absolutely frustrating and not acceptable, not to mention Sam was rude all along. In addition, he refused multiple times when asked what his Manager's Name was. After several attempts, he finally said his Manager was Bryan. However, I am not sure how to send Bryan my complaint. I hope you don't mind this complaint has reached you. I trust that you will take my complaint with some care. Again, I have never had any issues sending countless gifts to people to Amazon Pick Up Locations/Canada Post. My Recipients have always been able to pick up their parcel with an ID with their Name matching the Parcel.
I am not sure who I can bring this extremely upsetting experience to. I hope you can take the time to acknowledge my disappointing experience and bring this to the appropriate person who cares. Thank you for your time.

Location: Buroak PO / 1720 Bur Oak Avenue Markham ON L6E 0H8 (Shoppers Drug Mart)
Employee Name: Sam (Canada Post Employee at Shoppers Drug Mart) / Lynn (Shoppers Drug Mart Employee)
Concern: Sam refused multiple times to allow the pick up of a Canada Post Parcel, with all proofs and valid Government ID matching the Name on the parcel delivered - even with a Canada Post Ticket Number to release the parcel. Sam also said he'll be responsible for this stolen parcel. We were falsely accused of stealing parcels with both Amazon and Canada Post proof that we are the valid sender and recipient.
Regards,
Extremely Upset Customer, KP.
You're really *special* aren't you? LEGALLY, it doesn't matter if the name matches. You'd be surprised at how many people have the same name.
LEGALLY you have to have the SAME ADDRESS on the parcel and on the ID. This is nothing new and he was following the LAW.
Just because it was ok with other post offices in the past, does NOT mean it is policy. Policy for Canada Post states address must match.
Amazon even warns you of this when placing your orders. You ignored rules and regulations just to complain of a problem YOU caused.
Suck it up and hand deliver presents yourself.
