customer service
I went to Shoppers Drug Mart on Kenaston Blvd in Winnipeg MB.went in for passport photos for me and my son. When o walked on carrying my 3 year old I asked the cosmeticians if they do passports at this location . They said yes with no further direction . Walked around entire store with a 60 pound kid on my arm looking for passport area. Came back to cosmetic area and asked them again while they were half ignoring me cause they were busy chatting. They then told me to go to the cashier.went to cashier to ask were passports were taken she ignored me 3 times. I guess she can't multi task at all. So waited on ate minute line only for her to say"we can't do passport photos now".when I asked why she said oh I don't know our camera is being fixed I think. The whole experience was probably ly one of the worst and least helpful experience s I've ever had in customer service. These staff need to be re trained and taught proper customer service. Not doing their makeup in the mirror when customers are waiting.
poor employers
I worked at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Peterborough ON for almost 4 months and hated it. I was eventually let go because I had started working another job and my availability changed. I let my manager know as soon as I had gotten hired at the other job and told her I was willing to work with scheduling. However, instead of trying to make something work, they gave me a phone call saying that it was time for us to part ways. I asked my manager about cutting back my hours at the other store so that I had more availability but she said it was too late, they already hired new people to replace me.
Aside from that, it was an awful place to work. Management was unfair and very obviously play favourites. People could get away with whatever they wanted- including walking out of the store when they didn't want to work a certain shift- if they were liked by management.
They did a horrible job training their employees, often just leaving them to figure things out themselves and throwing them into hectic situations. Scheduling and hours were unfair and they were very inflexible with hours.
staff
I was shoppers in Woodstock today and will never be back. I shop at shoppers more than any other store and most employees by name. I walked in today and was followed around the store immediately after I walked in. I over heard the one last tell another staff to watch I have been so disrespected. I spend at least $500 every month at shoppers. Will never return after the rude treatment I was given.
I
employment
I would not recommend working in this store to anyone, especially if that person is of afro descent and remotely intelligent. I've been with this company for almost 2 years; a lot of liberal racism going on within this store with poor attempts to disguise it. On a surface level it looks like a store that's proud of its diversity but that is all due to the fact that management enjoys hiring poor naive poc/immigrants. One person believes because they are friends with a minority they are immune to being called out on their bigotry while the other shares similar beliefs because they are a minority. My biggest issue while working here was how management would willingly gossip with each other and older 'veteran' subordinates about my personal life while also punishing me and others for gossip or chit chat unrelated to work (their gossip went from "your spouse is using you" to "you're using your spouse"). I was involved in a verbal dispute with management over the mistreatment of another black employee including myself and how one of their supervisors, who at the time they were giving special treatment, made derogatory remarks related to my race. One of my complaints also included how one manager joked about my sex life and how it must suck to have my relative around who they knew was dying from cancer. A few months later that same relative was passing away and I had to leave for family emergency. Prior to that I had not once been absent from work, had a sick day or left early but nearly lost my job because I wanted to see my relative before they passed despite trying to contact management days before leaving. I did not get called back into work until two months later and once I was back I was leaving again since I had already made travel arrangements. It was then when the bullying really intensified because at the time, management was relocating the store to its current location, and they wanted "experienced" cashiers for newbie training. Before actually leaving I decided that I would return after vacation if I couldn't find work elsewhere, they ok'd it but stated that I would have to reapply. A month later on my last day of work one manager had done something that was essentially classified as sexual harassment (sexual innuendos; making advances by touching and standing extremely close in front of me; dates and camera footage will back this up) but I stayed hush about it because I was leaving and thought if I rejected them I would not have gotten my job back. I was asked to stay in contact with them via text, so I did. This continued until I had gotten my job back and it was only then I was told I had the job all along despite being told I would have to reapply upon return. The situation was hush hush until they started to openly accuse me of harassing and possibly stalking one of them or being an accomplice in said crime with another black employee. So keep in mind, I was never aware of my employment while away, the employee they claimed I had connections to was hired while I was away and I was allowed to come back despite these accusations. Even after helping them fire the employee that was trying to obtain personal info about them anonymously and distancing myself from them, I was still treated like a suspect. I wasn't allowed to work with another black employee despite others working with people with similar backgrounds to theirs. This may seem a petty detail to some but keep in mind that following the events that occurred in the past I think they are intimidated by the concentration of more than one black employee during a shift. We're a small team, and I've worked with literally everyone except a few other black employees working at the time. Understaffed and overworked; working while black here is being expected to smile and accept backhanded remarks that's attached to implicit bias but smile too much then you're up to no good or to not smile at all then you're being a "rude" and "divisive" person
customer service of cashier
Hi,
I visited a shoppers drug mart today around 4:20 pm and was treated very inappropriately by the cashier. The location of this shoppers drug mart is 600 Saddletowne Cir NE #101, Calgary, AB T3J 5M1. I purchased a box off cookies and went up to the counter, the cashier was cleaning the counter and I asked her are u open to check me out and she completely ignored me, knowing that I was talking to her. I put my box of cookies on the counter and waited for her to say something. She took the cookies and told me my total. I payed for it and she didn't give me a receipt or nothing and turned around and started doing her other work. I asked for a bag and she ignored me again and didn't turn around. Someone came up behind me and she said "next person in line" and I was still waiting for a bag. Now that she turned around I told her once again "can I have a bag". She takes on and puts it on the counter and says to me "next time it's gonna be 5 cents" in a very rude tone. I took my box of cookies and the bag and left however I felt very bullied by the cashier. She was a black middle aged women. She was working on the till closer to the exit door. Unfortunately I don't have a receipt or proof of the transaction. I would like their to be some action taken since that was very poor behaviour I had to face while shopping. I've been to that location many times and have not been treated the way I was treated by her.
Thank you
stylize no slip grip hair elastics (14 pack)
Hello!
It's not too often that I would submit a complaint regarding hair accessories but I felt the need to communicate my extreme dissatisfaction with these elastics. Although the No Slip Grip holds true to its name, these elastics are impossible to take out of your hair without ripping a huge amount of hair out along with them. The rubber-type material clings to your hair and pulls it along with it when they are taken out. It is so painful that I was about to throw the whole package out but I wanted to give you my feedback so no one else buys these. I bought them earlier this year and no longer have the receipt but I would like to get my full money back guarantee as written on the back of the elastic package. Thanks in advance for reading and responding to my complaint.
life brand charcoal nose strips
I recently purchased this product as it was on sale and I used it last night. I followed the instructions on the side of the package and when I pulled the strip off it burnt my skin. I woke up this morning to a red and irritated mark in my nose that is in pain. My nose is now very sore and irritated. I have used the Biore ones previously and never had an issue. My face was not burnt prior to and no acne on my nose. The strip peeled off Eith no issues at the time. I would like to submit a claim

makeup staff
Hi there,
I would like to suggest a change in the way your makeup section staff approach the customers. I recently shopped twice at the store on king and Peter and felt really really uncomfortable. When I was approached by staff both times telling me that, "I can cash you out once you're done shopping." The second time of my visit, the staff followed me around the store and gave me an impression that she had to spy on me as if she thinks I wouldn't not pay for the products. I felt very uncomfortable and looked down upon. I got offended and decided to pay at the regular counter. She took the products off my hand and insisted me to go with her at the makeup section counter. I was upset at this point so I asked her why they always tell me to cash out at the makeup section. Though she explained to me that it helps with her sales number or commission, I still felt the need to write this up. I am sure that many people would feel offended and uncomfortable when they are told "I can cash you out when you're done." As if they don't know they need to pay for things and also followed around without privacy and time to pick out what they want. I feel my rights as a customer are violated. I think this really should not happen ever again. Please train your staff properly and let them know this way of approaching customers not only doesn't work but it will always cause problems for both parts.
You're too sensitive. It's also to let you know that you don't have to wait and clog up the regular cashier line and can be cashed out quickly in the beauty boutique till.
customers not serviced in order; not-answering the phone
phone rings incessantly almost nevers answered...even after twenty minutes two pr three times. Even if you give your prescription first, the more you complain the faster they fill your prescriptipn first. Other customers complain about professional mistakes...they should go on t.v. with proof. employees fatigued and keep apologizing but after some years these are lame excuses.
My wife bought Teva Emetec and Novamoxin from Pharmaprix on monkland, Montreal, that was on the 28th of July. My wife was not given any paper describing how to use the medication, what are the side effects, etc...
NOTE: Usually this paper is given with every new drug, I get one for every new drug I buy from Jean Coutu Pharmacy. My wife was with Jean Coutu, but she changed to Pharmaprix, although I told her not to do that.
My wife went to the emergency Jewish General Hospital on the 2nd of August due to severe constipation that lasted for 3 days, including the day of the emergency. Before going to the Emergency, we called 811. We also went again to the same pharmacy one day before going to emergency, which told us not to go to the emergency, and take suppository, suppository did not work, so after 3 days in hell, we decided to go to the emergency, and it took us the whole day at the hospital. Not giving my wife the paper that describes how to use the drug resulted in all of these troubles.
The very least, we ask for $100 gift card in order to compensate for all of these troubles.

prescriptions
Went to SDM in Qwanlin Mall on Ogilvie Street, Whitehorse Yukon to get a prescription filled. The Dr.'s office had faxed it over before I arrived. Got to prescription counter two females sitting talking doing nothing and I gave them the original prescription and said you would have received this by fax. One female asked the other about it and she said yeah that's the one that came in that we were talking about. The other female pulled the fax prescription out of the GARBAGE and said it didn't go through so we threw it out. She showed it to me and the Dr's office sending it had stated on it if they needed any help to call her and put her phone # and this was showing on the fax as well as most of the prescription - only the bottom part was blacked out. Name and Dr. sending and prescription was still legible. They said it would take two hours to fill the prescription and I said that wasn't acceptable. They said you can go somewhere else. So I said I would and I told them they were always so slow (have had bad very slow experience with this store in the past). They both then said well you have a nice day in a mocking tone. I took my prescription to another pharmacy and it was ready in 15 minutes. I have waited for a prescription at this SDM for 45 min. because they told me that would be how long it would take and when I went to pick it up they have told me it would be another 30 min. Really unacceptable. I never use SDM for my prescriptions this time it was for my husband but I have changed his information to another pharmacy.
customer service
Hi, I visited shopper drug mart location at 7538 120 Street, Surrey, BC, V3W 3N1 on Aug 21, 2017 at about 5:20 pm and I had the worst customer service experience of my lifetime. I went to shop for a perfume. Since, I shop there all the time for perfumes, beauty experts present there told me in the past that I can test the fragnance if there is an open package because they don't get samples for clearance perfumes. There were a couple of open boxes of FCUK her perfume set, so I tried to test the fragnance but then I thought I should ask for beauty expert's permission before testing the fragnance. She said it seems to be unsprayed so don't test the fragnance. So, I simply asked the beauty expert "Nadia" for her advice on the fragnance. She said its good so I said ok i will buy this pack. While I was making a purchase, an employee named "Jasleen" came running after me along with a man and started blaming me that I was trying to steal this perfume set. I explained her that if I had to steal it why would I bring it to the beauty expert to ask for her permission. People started looking at me as if I am a theif. I told them that I would call cops if they dont stop harassing me and they all started laughing at me saying you can do whatever you want. There was this another south asian manager in her 30s who was also watching all this and laughing. He wan't wearing a name tag so I dont know his name. I felt so embarassed that I went back and gave my paid perfume set to "nadia" beauty expert and told her to give it to Jasleen as a gift to give her proof that I am not a theif. Neither me nor my family members are going to shop at shopper drug mart until they gave me a resolution.
postal office/management (eramosa, bullfrog mall)
Thank you for the excellent retail service you provide. The superb service and selection is what makes you better than the competition.
In Guelph, you have Post Office Outlets, but do not deal with student loan applications. That is fine. You are a Post Office, however, and can still send mail. And. You have photocopies. That is all that is needed to submit a student loan application - photocopy the documents and mail the package.
However, on two occasions - both in Guelph, at Your Clair location and at your Bulfrog Mall location - I was sent away, curtly and impolitely. Especially by manager, Sarah, at your Bullfrog location.
Perhaps a more tactful way of handling this situation would be to both inform us that we can not have our identity verified, but also inform us that you do have a photo copier and can submit the application by mail.
Having been so frustrated by these incidents, I left afterwards without completing my shopping. Zehrs on Clair received my business. I would like to also mention that Jon at your Clair location left me to wait for several minutes before coming to help. And. That Sarah left before the issue was resolved.
You do have many savvy, intelligent and hardworking staff members, many of whom have been of great help and service before. However, this event has damaged my perception of you. I do hope you address this issue in a way which will ensure the growth of your business and service to your customers.
Thank you for reading and addressing this comment.
Best Wishes,
Evan Williamson

dispensing suboxone
I recently moved and had to switch pharmacies. I am now at Shoppers Drugmart at College & Ossington (Toronto) where I have to go every week for Suboxone ( pharmacist : J. Chen) dosing and 'carries' for the rest of the week.
I cannot believe how Shoppers treats 'recovering addicts'. It is 100% demeaning!
They should not be allowed to make you sign a 'contract' before agreeing to dispense medication to you. I did not have a choice but to sign the damned thing; this is the closest pharmacy to me and indontbhave time to commute to another pharmacy. It also takes a very long time to dose & pick up your medication.
Other pharmacies/ pharmacists do not require a 'mid check' and ' final check' . They don't make you sign a contract agreeing to be treated like a stereotypical addict. The pharmacists always appear flustered; this is in part because of Shoppers rules & regulations - they have to get out a big binder for you to sign for each dose, they cannot prep carries or as they say 'process the prescription before specified date'. I understand It's a big business with strict rules but c'mon... ISome people just want to dose and pick up their medication and get to work.
I have no idea what they think you're going to do with partially dissolved Suboxone. I'm on a low dose, I go to Shoppers the same day & time every week. There is obviously nobody waiting for me to run outside and spit a dissolved dose into their mouth!? SERIOUSLY! This pharmacy is so rigid and blatantly stigmatizes recovering addicts like nothing I have ever seen. I will be looking for a smaller pharmacy that does not belittle their clientele.

Can you please delete the two 'update' comments.
My apologies for posting (twice!) in wrong place.

You're 100% wrong
Shoppers has their own set of rules ... contract!?
No other pharmacy requires this.
It's usually the big corporate pharmacies that put a blanket on all meth/Suboxone prescriptions.
Site me some names!
Dan,
You're 100% wrong
Shoppers has their own set of rules ... contract!?
No other pharmacy requires this.
It's BIG BOX companies/ pharmacies that put a blanket on ALL meth/Suboxone clients.
This in turn generates stigma.
It's one thing for the 'company ' to perpetuate this but for a pharmacist to come across with an attitude? That's just unprofessional.
In either case- not acceptable
Site me some names please!
It's a provincial requirement. They are required by law to do that. You won't find any other pharmacy that will do it differently - if they do, that's already sketchy
My apologies for posting in wrong place 2X!

no air conditioning extremely uncomfortable heat at laurier and bank street store ottawa ontario
Although I very much enjoy shopping at this location Laurier and Bank Shoppers Drug Mart in Ottawa Ontario, the heat in the store is unbearable making it very uncomfortable to shop. It has large windows bringing the hot sunshine in making it very sticky and uncomfortable this summer.
There are some fans scattered through but I can only imagine if it is uncomfortable for me to shop there, how must it be for the staff there. They are friendly and helpful but clearly feeling the heat and discomfort too.
Until this is fixed and air conditioning is fixed I will be shopping at a different Shoppers Drug Mart. I really like Bank and Laurier but even though inconvenient I will now shop at the Rideau Center store instead.
Thank you for your consideration
Kind Regards
Anne C.

no7 men energising face wash
No7 Men Energising Face Wash, UPC code on the product: [protected]
150 ml
face wash liquid found very watery (flows very fast). And as the container is designed to put upside down, it flows even faster when I open the cap. Not at all happy with the consistency of the product. Another thing due to very less viscous liquid, half of my face wash just leaked out from the container. Later I find out that it is leaking from the cap too.
I have product available for return for the purpose of investigation (if needed).
20x points offer confusing and not clear.
According to Shoppers flyer this weekend - August 12, 2017 - if I spent $75 on cosmetics I would receive 20X the points! I use Shoppers all the time and have collected points and enjoyed the benefits.
Before I started shopping wanted to make sure that hair products were included in the "cosmetics". Yes!
Purchased hair products, skin products, some miscellaneous things like butter and potato chips. Total bill $111.00 and change.
Left the store to see my total points on the receipt. Just 1000 points! I was expecting much more.
Go back into the store for an explanation. It seems 20X the points is only applicable to the "higher end products"! The cashier pointed out two aisles of products that would only give me 20X the points!
This is not clear at all. I'm really angry because I made a point of speaking to a clerk before I started shopping!
They checked by bill and stated that only $35 worth of product was applicable to the special.
As a life long Shoppers client...I am upset and angry at this misrepresentation, particularly when I asked ahead of time about products that were eligible.
The staff needs to be educated and point out the two aisles that allow a customer to benefit from the deal.
optimum points
I use my optimum coupons a lot that are applied to my card and today was the last day to use my coupon for 8000 points if I spend 30 dollars or more and I had forgot my card so I went back into store to have points put on my card and my coupon for 8000 points didn't apply. Im very upset about this . We are given offers and coupons yet they don't work. I would like my 8000 points because my coupon expires today
Read the print next time.

10 Aug 2017 around 20h10 at location
Shoppers Drug Mart (269 Main Street, Fredericton, New Brunswick)
There was only 1 cash open, which I expect this late in the evening. There were nine people in front of me in line. A young female employee with dirty blonde hair in two long french braids was talking to 2 friend an aisle away from the very busy cash. She ducked down behind a shelf and said to her friends "did anyone see me". She eventually popped back up saw I was still looking at her and proceeded to pretend she was showing her friends something further to the back of the store and continued to socialize. I am not impressed I am used to above average service in your store. I would also like to mention the young lady (Laura) working the cash was very pleasant and professional.

I had stopped by two weeks prior to my inquiry to fill our last vaccine medication and was told all would be fine even though they had recently changed ownership. When I called the week we were to have our final scheduled vaccines, I was told the medication is not available and is on back order. I asked what they could do to help me out. The reply was "I don't know what I can do, it is on back order". I said that it had been my previous experience as a Shoppers Drug Mart customer that the pharmacy calls around to try to find this medication. Shoppers response was basically we don't have time but you can and if you find a pharmacy that has it then the prescription will be transferred, but good luck as the product is on back order. I got upset and hung up. We called three pharmacies and two of them had the medication. The pharmacy we chose was very helpful. They had the time to call Shoppers for me to have the prescription transferred.
Note to Shoppers Drug Mart Customer Service is everything. If you don't have the time for your customers I will gladly give them the name of a wonderful pharmacy that does.
