My daughter and I were in your store July 2, 2017 at 3:00 pm to purchase a face cleanser, we asked Megs to cash us out. ( I went back to asked her name because she was so rude to us) She asked who helped us, we said an older woman, she then abruptly walked away, she did not say anything, such as I will be right back or will you please wait. We waited approximately three minutes, then retrieved our things and cashed out at the regular cash tills. If our patronage is not appreciated we will shop elsewhere. Thank you
staff at the market street plaza in airdrie alberta
I'm sending your company this as this has happened every single time I have entered this store at this location. I am a 30 year old woman and the staff at the shoppers drug Mart off of Yankee valley and market street in Airdrie Alberta has treated me like I'm a teenage delinquent/ criminal. I carry my small purse and a reusable shopping bag with me when I enter stores. And the staff act like I'm the first person to ever come into the store with two bags. Now instead of asking me respectfully and politely if I could leave my reusable bag at the front counter, they follow me around poking their heads around corners like they are spying to see if I'm going to steal something. I understand that they are doing they're job, but they make me feel like I'm the worst customer in the world. I have given them no reason to think that I might steal other then having a reusable shopping bag. I tried to file a complaint with the manager a few times befor and even the manager on the phone treats me like my complaint is not justifiable. I will NEVER go to shoppers drug Mart again as this type of customer service is despicable and discussing. Again I'm a 30 year old woman and I am embarrassed and extremely upset that I was treated like a delinquent criminal by your staff in Airdrie Alberta at the market street and Yankee valley shoppers drug Mart.
A very disrespected customer

30 year olds shoplift, too.
expired product
I just woke up at 4 am wondering why after two days of a three day treatment for a yeast infection I am still uncomfortable. Well, after looking over the package thoroughly I realized it is expired by A YEAR. I bought it TWO days ago at the 225 Lyndon road location. No wonder it was on sale. Ridiculous! I don't currently have the recipes as it is in my car and there is a thunderstorm happening but I would be happy to supply it in the morning.
u by kotex
I went into the Shoppers at Mumford Road, Halifax, Nova Scotia today at around 4.20pm.
I wanted to use a few U by Kotex coupons for my purchase. My coupons were $2 ones and in colour, direct from the website (legitimate coupons) and when I went to purchase some of the Kotex that were on offer for $3.99 and 2000 points, the cashier refused to honour my coupons. I explained that I had the website on my phone and he could check the site on my phone and also the coupon on the phone too but he point blank refused my coupons. On Shoppers Coupon policy document, they do state that 'Printed"coupons"from"the"internet"or"email"are"accepted"in"black"and"white"or"colour." Obviously this wasn't so and I didn't have a significant number to purchase either. so there was no reason to be refused. This is the link for the coupon - https://www.ubykotex.com/en-ca/get-a-coupon
I love shopping at Shoppers but now I feel wary of using any coupons there because it's embarrassing when your valid coupons are rejected, especially when there's a line up behind you.
cashier
Just recently visited the 7 Clair road location in Guelph. Never have I had such rude customer service. There was only one cashier on with a line up of 9 or more people and then two cashiers finally came to help after visiting in the back. (I walked passed them prior to checking out). I go to the next open cashier because I was next and she very rudely
Told me to go to the back of the line. I eventually got a different cashier and she didn't even speak to me or even smile. Didn't tell me my total or anything. She was far more concerned about the customers in the other line. My cashiers name was Gina.
prescription refill problems poor customer service!
Went to have a couple of prescription filled before I went on vacation. The prescriptions were filled but one was not too early to receive benefits. Instead of telling me that, he filled the prescription and tried to charge me full price. Instead of paying full price he told me to come back after vacation to pick it up. He will leave it in the drawer for me. I called before going to pick it up to make sure it was still there because shoppers is notorious for not having things ready. Girl said she couldn't find it, will fill it for me and will have it ready for 4:30. I go after work to pick it up in rush hour and she said it wasn't filled. The prescription was cancelled she call my dr office and they are on vacation so basically I don't have a prescription! Thanks for not calling me back, having my prescription cancelled and wasting my time and gas driving out there in rush hour traffic. Disgusting customer service. Overpriced dispensing fee for terrible service. Shopper Drug Mart in Pondmills on Commissioners Rd, London, ON. Very disappointed.
rude unprofessional pharmacist at sdm 467 parliament st., toronto
We went with my wife 39-week pregnant on Sunday 5 pm to the Pharmacist at 467 Parliament street, Toronto, to simply ask a question about breastfeeding pump ("do you rent some here or no?") but could never ask the question as the pharmacist head (a 50 something Asian man) did not allow us to... The store was empty and he was behind the computer. he did not even look at us one second but told us we have to wait for 5 minutes. When we told him it was for a simple question, he told us the same ("i am busy, 5 minutes").
So rude! unprofessional! I guess the college of pharmacists is proud to have such people licensed! As a physician myself, I am ASHAMED to see such rude pharmacists! I pity my patients who have to deal with such mean persons!
ill behaved floor associate
I had visited the shoppers drug mart franchise in Ottawa, Ontario located at 541 Montreal Road, Ottawa ON K1K 0V1, in January 2017, where I unfortunately had the bad luck to encounter an extremely abusive and ill behaved clerk working at the front store. The belligerent individual had the nerve and audacity to be rude to me, a regular client of the store who never had any issues with store clerks or pharmacists prior. However, upon contacting the front store manager, namely Stephen, he simply praised the accused named Nathalie and refused to take any action against her. It is worrisome that a pharmacy would pick up suspicious individuals and give them jobs where they would ruin the reputation of the company. I have since severed all ties with the whole company and will never conduct any business with them nor encourage my acquaintances to do so. Shame on Shoppers for failing to monitor their franchises.
fragrance sampler
A few months ago I purchased two fragrance samplers upon reccomendation of a employer saying you get to sample 10 and bring the certificate on the inside back for a full size bottle for free! The other day I did just that to be informed that because price had gone up id have pay the difference... No where on the outside of the box does it say that or on the back of the box there is also no expiration date on the certificate only on the very back of the certificate does it say 95 dollar value under cashier instructions as a customer i'm a little upset about the lack of information on the employees part the lack of information on the outside of the box...in a better sense it's very misleading and false advertisement I could have found something better to 150+ dollars on than the two samplers that I bought that I have to spend additional money on to redeem... Unsatisfactory product and service!
service
Hi, I went to the Mcphillips location near garden city tonight at about 9:47-10:00pm and I was standing there for about good 20 minutes trying to find something which I clearly couldn't and the philipino lady that was working she completely ignored me the whole time which was very rude! When I tried to go upto her she walked away but she was okay with helping other people I found it extremely rude and didn't want to ask her for help again. I couldn't find what I was looking for so I had to settle for something else then I went to the checkout and that lady was gone there was someone else working and she was super rude to me too. I don't know if I did something or they just didn't like me which was very weird because they both were okay with other people. I hope you read this and get back to me because my experience was horrible and I never want to go back to that location
pharmacy service
The called in Rx was searched for for a total of 10 minutes, only found when an experienced employee assisted. Waited another 15 minutes until a pharmacist explained the medication. During this timeframe, 12 other customers were assisted. Obviously a shortage and poor planning on pharmacist is the issue. Plenty of staff, but only two pharmacists cannot perform operations.
customer service
I went to the shoppers drug mart at 137 Water STREET N, Cambridge, ON, N1R 3B8 at 8:12 pm on June 17th, 2017. I talked to a man with a beard, I believe he was in the second or third cashier from the self check out. Not only was he not helpful in guiding me where to find bug spray but when I asked him for the 'million' card he was rude and rolled his eyes. I told him, sorry I was just told to tell you about it before paying at the 'self serve' check out. Then I went to get the piece of paper and I asked him if it was scanned, since I've been told by another cashier earlier that day to make sure it's scanned before I take it. He again rolls his eyes, looks annoyed and tells me 'yeah like I SAID it's all ready!' I tell him sorry I was just checking no need to give me attitude. Then he says 'yeah right, I TOLD you it was all ready'. Not sure if he's trained well to handle customers with their questions, but I've worked in customer service for 9 years and I've had customer be completely rude to me but never have I rolled my eyes and talked back.
employee behavior (shoppers drug mart - mclaughlin, mississauga)
Hello,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am submitting a complaint against the Shoppers Drug Mart at McLaughlin, Mississauga. I am greatly disappointed by the attitude and behavior demonstrated by your employees which was not only insulting but also humiliating. A few days ago,
I got a foundation stick from that branch but by accident I got the wrong shade and did not even open the packaging. I saw the bottom of the container and realized that it was the wrong shade and today (June 17th, 2017) around 7PM I went to get an exchange done. At that point, a woman named Nancy was working along with another person who was helping a customer. I showed Nancy the receipt and she went and asked the other employee about it and she came back and said "we don't return anything on the back wall". The fact that Nancy went to the other employee to ask made it clear that she absolutely had no idea about it. The store should put that on the receipt and there is absolutely nothing like that mentioned on it. I later went to cash and asked for the manager but the cashier called the "supervisor" who was apparently Nancy. Anyways, she came and while we were explaining to her that we didn't NOT even open the container she said "well let's go the cosmetics section there's no need to yell in front of customers". I was not yelling at her or anyone else, I spent roughly $20 on that foundation and I had every right to ask about this unclear policy. Later, she opened the container and said that "there's a piece of hair on it, I cannot exchange it". I have never been this insulted in my life, there is one little piece of tape on the packaging and how is it not possible that someone else did not open it? I did not open it and I will always stay firm on that stance. That piece of hair she was referring to is questionable in terms of the store's overall level of hygiene. The supervisor named Nancy and the other employee were very unprofessional and consistently had a resentful tone. If this absurd policy exists, then it should be clearly mentioned at the time of purchase. I did not even open it until they did. I am extremely disappointed and will never be shopping with this store ever again and will surely tell others about this experience.
colgate toothpaste advertise in flyer
My local flyer in Bracebridge, Ontario advertized colgate toothpaste 75ml-95ml for .88. However, the colgate toothpaste available for .88 was 60 ml - not the volume advertized. I have noticed this same error previously. Why is the 75ml - 95ml toothpaste not priced at .88? Is there any reason for the misleading advertising? Why not advertise the 60ml product for .88 instead of misrepresenting the sale?
stylize umbrella
I purchased an Stylize umbrella from Shoppers, when I attempted to close it, it sprang back up and cut my left eye soft tissue under my eye. I had to go to emergency and they stitched it with glue. I have pictures and a witness. Product name is Stylize Umbrella. Receipt number is 999020221009001891271.
I am seeking reimbursement and money for suffering/scarring. I am also asking that the product be recalled
Date of incident: 09 Feb 2017.
Tet shot administered.
high prescription cost
I had to go to Shoppers in an emergency as my regular drug store was out of a necessary medication for which there is no generic.
Being a senior on a fixed income is difficult enough without a large company charging excessive dispensing fees that other (much smaller) drug stores don't charge at all.
I paid $11 more for an identical prescription at a London Ontario location when in trauma and dire need of the medication.
I told the store and the head office about it and they pretty much said "too bad".
Needless to say I will avoid them whenever possible in the future.
service
This is not so much of a complaint as a general comment. I shop at the Montrose Road SDM in Niagara Falls. Each time a customer enters the store, one of the clerks in cosmetics says hello. While this seems like a friendly gesture at the outset, it seems to be nothing more than a routine for the staff. Most of the time I can't even see them, when I can see them they are almost never looking in my direction. I have been talking to a staff member when they shout out hello at the next customer in the middle of me speaking, which I find disrespectful. I appreciate friendly and welcoming employees but this seems to me like an idea that was thrust upon the staff. I find it more annoying than welcoming.
discourteous language/behaviour
I went into the 1675 Wyandotte St West store today (June 11, 2017) at to get a passport photo taken.
We waited, and a staff member said someone would be with us soon. After waiting 15 minutes with no fuss, another staff member comes up and said they actually don't do passport photos on Sundays. She told us to come back Monday, and we told her, "it's okay, " and walked away.
She then started giving us attitude, saying, "Excuse me, I'm still talking to you, " and chased after us as we left the store continuing to yell at us. She then told us not to come back, and if we did they wouldn't serve us. She said she expected respect, and that they only had two people on staff.
I told her, it's fine that they were short staffed, but I would have appreciated if they had just told us that they didn't provide the service instead of making us wait 15 minutes to be told we wouldn't be served; to which she told me, "That's not my problem."
cash desk
Store location:
7060 Warden Ave., Markham, ON, L3R 5Y2
Time and Date: June 6, 2015, 9:20 pm
I went to the store stated above, and experienced something very bad.
I bought a GUM Sunstar Mint Waxed Floss today, and I went to the cash desk. The employee at the cash desk, who was at my service, did not even give me the receipt, and she charged me more than I should have been charged: The floss was being sold at a discount - the price before tax was $3.99, but I was charged a subtotal of 5.60 (but it should be 4.50). In brief, the employee charged me $1.00 more than I should have paid.
I paid for the product at about 9:20 pm today; I could only give you the approximate time, since I was not given the receipt.
I am not certain whether there be a record or monitoring of transactions at the cash desk or whether be monitoring or check of performance.
I also have additional recommendations. Experience means nothing without character: The character of an employee is more important than experience, and training can compensate the lack of experience.
I recommend that Shoppers hire employees who possess a good character rather than experience; that Shoppers should screen its applicants (I know that many applicants have become employees through referral/connexion; someone that I know has already become a manager through referral/connexion). Screening, selection, training, supervision, monitoring, performance check, and regular auditing and reporting and review are very important to the growth and success of any business/company of any size. Reputation or goodwill is of the essence.
customer service
I have been shopping at the Convent Glen Shoppers Drug Mart for several years now, as it is my closest location. Recently, I've found whenever I go in alone, I'm followed and watched closely by the sales staff. Yesterday, I spent some time in the cosmetics and personal care section, comparing two products I was debating buying. The woman working in cosmetics never greeted me or asked if I needed any help, but kept watching me. She then paged a manager, who also followed me and advised a third sales staff to keep an eye on me as well. I had a few small items in my hands, in plain sight at all times, and wasn't carrying any large bags or anything suspicious, so I don't understand. I got fed up and decided to pay for what I had and leave. The manager followed me to the register, and dismissed the cashier to ring me through himself. I very well may have spent more time browsing and wound up buying more than I had if I hadn't received this treatment. I don't appreciate being treated with such overt suspicion, and it makes me not want to continue shopping there.
