poor customer service
I went to Shoppers today - the 10th of April 2016 to be able to print some photos for a family picture board. I went to the Fairview Drive location to learn that they no longer have a photo machine. I was directed to the King George location. I drove to the King George location only to find out that the Digital Centre is closed; but...and I quote " you can go to the Stanley street location as their digital centre stays open longer"...Really?!
Why cant a store be a store be a store be a store?
If you are part of a bigger chain, should you not all be the same?
This is very frustrating and the staff member was very rude about this with no apology at all.
Needless to say, I did NOT go to the Stanley location!
I will take my business and money elsewhere!
Completely dissatisfied and disgruntled with Shoppers!
cosmetics
Extremely dissatisfied with Shoppers Drug Mart at Ossington and Queen St., as I was cashing out I noticed the price of a CoverGirl powder came to $17 and I was confused because the price on the tag displayed in store said $9.99. The cashier didn't believe me so I physically went and showed the price to an employee, and I was right. Although the supervisor at the time still said she can not price change it for me only because it's not "possible." Which I'm aware that is not true. Overall, I spent an extra 25 minutes looking for a new product and arguing, feeling treated with disrespect. Not going back to that location and advising friends to stay away.

unethical behaviour
My friend and I who are frequent shoppers of this particular Shoppers store felt very uneasy as we were in the makeup section; we understand that it is important to ask customers if they need help, but don't keep badgering them about it because you are fearing we are stealing stuff because we say we dont need help. First of all, my friend left her name and number with one of the cashiers to get a particular type of makeup when the order comes in next week, so why keep monitoring what she's doing as she is browsing through the makeup afterwards? We felt our age (early 20s) was partially the reason why we got discriminated at this location; one of those cashiers I spoke to all the time so I don't know why she was acting strange today especially calling for security to monitor the area even though we were just buying their products.
I will probably never want to be in this shoppers again because clearly these ladies need to go take classes on why discriminating customers is unethical behaviours.
the pharmacy department
Dear whom this may concern, I have had the WORST possible service in the universe at the Shoppers Drug Mart located at Victoria Park and Van Horne plaza. The pharmacist's and the rest of the people who are a part of the pharmaceutical team are the most unintelligent and unprofessional group of individuals to serve the general public. They are constantly...

It was the bad atitude of the pharmacy technicians{not pharmacists} from my prescription drop off to picking it up. I was never treated so poorly and with such disrespect . I was sent out of the out patients at hospital and told to go straight away to any pharmacy . I mentioned the issue but the service I encountered was not In the least concerned and I waited over and hour which I was ok with. It was the way in which they spoke to me and dealt with me which lead to my decision for my wife and I to never go in that store in Sydney River Kings Road Cape Breton N.S. Shoppers Drug Mart again. Date of incident was feb.18th 2016 . I wish to remain anonymous as I was visiting Sydney.
service
My daughter, a long=time customer of SDM at Lloyd Manor Rd in Etobicoke was approached by the Plaza Security Officer and shown an empty hair product box that they suspected she had stolen (she had been looking at those products with the store cosmetician and had selected one and paid for it, but remained in the store because she was waiting for a prescription to be filled). Security Officer asked her to open her purse and show her all the contents - a very humiliating experience since there were other customers in the store. She complied and then he tried to escort her from the store - she told him she was waiting for a prescription so he said he would stay with her until the pharmacist brought it up to her. While they were waiting he said "and what's that bulge in your pocket?" It was her gloves! Today (the day after) I went in to the store and approached the Security Officer and asked what right he had to accost and, basically search her purse. He was very officious (almost angry) and said that if "they" suspect someone they can do whatever they want. Then he said "You can call the cops or get a lawyer if you want to complain".
I don't think that's the way Shoppers would their customers treated. My daughter, Carol Nelles, was totally embarrassed and humiliated, especially since none of the clerks, who've known her for years, dared to come forward and vouch for her. I felt that the company should be aware of this bullying treatment.
signs are only in french
To whom it may concern:
The Pharmaprix Drugstore on Van Horne near Outremont(Montreal, Quebec) Metro Station has signs inside the drugstore only in French indicating where the items are and for the past year I have been asking for them to write the signs in English below the French as well. The reply I get each time is this is a French Province and French is the first language and that is the way it is. I refuse to buy anymore from Pharmaprix until the signs are in both languages !
free itunes cards
This weekend Shoppers had a promo that gave you a 20.00 Free I Tune card that had to be registered, if you spent 75.00 at any given Shoppers Store.
I went to redeem this card and there was an auto reply that this offer had been expired, despite the expiry date on the card being February 28th, 2016.
I called Shoppers head office only to be told that this was a giveaway provided by thepromocard.com and I should contact them directly (like we have nothing else to do).
After contacting them, they sent me yet another code to enter on their website, I can only assume they hope to lose 50% of consumers who received these cards at this point. When you go to fill out the required information they force you to accept their service agreement? Which is no where to be found. This feels like a scam to me, and I can hardly wait to see how many emails and solicitations I get as a result of applying for what was perceived to be a simple free 20.oo I tunes card.
I am disappointed that Shoppers Drug Mart would think so little of their consumers as to offer this big promo, then leave us out here struggling to access it without a concern, stating this is not their offer, even after being advised that the company is saying the promo has expired.
customer service
I attended a shoppers drug mart in Barrie this morning (Feb 13/16) and while I was there I wanted to pickup a starbucks giftcard. The gift cards were showing up at $500 and not allowing me to pick my own amount. The cashier told me to go get another one so I did, when I came back she was very rude. She told me I picked the same one and she can't keep voiding $500 because it doesn't look good on her. She said starbucks is on the other side of the plaza so I need to go there and I shouldn't be buying giftcards for other retailers at shoppers anyways because there are always issues with them. I knew stabucks was in the plaza however I had to stop at shoppers to pick other items up and just wanted to do everything at once instead of making another stop. This was very disappointing and upsetting how I was treated by staff members at this location and this incident makes me not want to return to shoppers.
prescription policy
I am on hydromorph contin for ongoing shoulder injury. I had to have emergency surgery for kidney stones, and the urologist wrote me a script for 8 pills until my original script is available. So I get the 8 pill script filled, and when it was time for me to get my original script filled which I have 4 months remaining, I was told that shoppers policy was to cancel the original script. I was floored! I live close to 2 hours from my doctor. So I asked how is it their policy to cancel scripts but not their policy to inform me of this. So I lost a 4 month prescription of pain medication for 3 torn tendons. I was robbed of chance to make a choice..an obvious choice 8 pills vs 240. And I didn't even get an apology.
rude disrespect service/saturday jan 30/still waiting for an apology from the store owner 02 february 2016
I have filed one complaint today and do not see it on the website
I received an apology from hired help who obviously is not responsible for the management of the store.
who did not address me by name, started the email with "hi", like this matter was insignificant and then went on the blamed someone else.
I wish to have an apology from the responsible person, the store owner who should be responsible for the actions of any staff they hire and so this sort of behaviour is not visited upon another senior citizen in Duncan and in any other Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada!

millionaire contest
I bought things on Sunday January 31, 2016 at Shopper's Drug Mart in Milton Ontario and I was given a contest form with a Pin No on it. The flyer says right on it Contest Closes February 8, 2016 and I tried to enter the contest on Monday February 1st. This is false advertising. When I went online to enter the contest it says contest closed. I don't think...

I received a gift card in Nov 2015. I tried using it at multiple Shoppers Drug Mart locations with no success as there seems to be an issue with certain keypads and the new gift cards. None of the associates (there were at least 4) knew what to do in each case and I was treated like a con artist while also holding up a line and thus being publicly...

As an avid shopper at SDM on Grande Ave in Chatham, I have recently become very disappointed with the customer service at this location. I choose this location because it is newer, clean and they always have their shelves stocked. They offer the photo shop kiosk that I prefere because I get my photos right away and the photo center is in a location where I can look at my photos on the screen, edit them and nobody is there looking over my shoulder at my pictures on the screen. However, the last couple times that I have come to develop my photos an employee (Kaylene) has been there - and she has just been a royal pain. The first time she was there, she thought I was having difficulties with the photo system because my pictures were taking alittle longer then usual to load. She took it upon herself to grab my phone, and check to make sure I had my phone switched to the camera setting. Is this apart of her job description? If it is, then I hope SDM is willing to take full responsibility for damages done to my phone should their employees drop it, or delete something that shouldnt have been deleted. The last incident occured yesterday when I was there once again developing my photos. She came over at least 4 times in a 7 minute span and kept checking over my shoulder and asking if everything was ok. She then proceeded to tell me numberous times to make sure I took my receipts to the cashier to get cashed out. She made me feel like I was a thief. This is also the girl that took my daughters passport photo. When she took the passport photo she gave me two copies and proceeded to tell me to tell the front end cashier that I only had one copy so she wouldn't charge me for two. If Kaylene is so worried about people stealing photo's, then why is she giving them away herself? If SDM is going to offer a service such as "do it yourself photo's" then I think they need to educate their employees on giving customers space and keeping their nose out customers business. I find this employee extremely unhelpful, extremely annoying and very unaware of her job description.
unclear communication,
Shoppers Drug Mart (Winnipeg, Pembina/Dalhouse) I needed a pack of gum, found some quickly, and stood in line behind one other customer at Till 3. The cashier (also the manager on duty), told me that I needed to stand back and wait in queue. I asked where, and she pointed out a line of...one other person...standing by the aisles 15 yards away by Till 1. This is preposterous. There was no signage, neither on the floor nor as a stand on the ground telling people this. It was awkward, and bizarre. And, this manager said that this was "Shopper's rules". Only one person at the till at a time. So, as I go to stand in queue, I end up being the only person there (15 yards away), waiting for either Till 1 or Till 3 and I got the same cashier. As a customer, how are we supposed to know this? As a cashier, it is awful to have to say this to every customer (and potentially embarass them) as this is not regular, normal behaviour...especially without clear signs. Boo. Apparently Manager Amedeo Imbrogno does his own thing, without clearly communicating this to his patrons.
retain medicine because customer does not have the monthly drug plan receipt
I would like to put a complaint that I believe border as a criminal act. I am not so sure how many similar problems this corporation had. But probably this is not the only on. This is my situation, I am diabetic Type II and cancer patient undergoing cancer treatment the Drugs are been pay by Ontario Work but I did not yet received the monthly receipt (December - January 2016). Therefore, a pharmacist from the store located in Aurora Ontario (14729 Yonge St, Aurora, ON L4G 1N1) told that I can not receive my monthly drugs until I provided with this receipt. I wonder about this type of behaviour when it come from a corporation that almost eliminate all the smaller pharmacies where this would never happen. Shame on you Shopper Drug Mart (Aurora, Ontario)
poor customer service at 1017 mcphillips st. winnipeg r2x 2k3
poor customer service at shopper drug mart 1017 Mcphillips st. winnipeg r2x 2k3 ph [protected] hi myself is Munish Puri, disappoint with the customer service of your store provided. i went to shop no name chips for .99 cents, asked clerk first about the limit of buying chips and he said no limit, he told me, buy whatever i need. for your verification, plz check camera between 7.10am to 7.35 am. that i went to sales clerk to ask him first and then filled my cart with chips, while i was filling up my cart, another sales clerk (east Indian) was going to start his shift and i asked him about the sugar which is on sale, he pointed out the shelf where it was. picked up the sugar and put it in the cart.then i was looking the tin foil and asked another sales clerk (named Mark)for sale. and he told me that there may be a limit on chips and i told him that the sales clerk told me about no limit, he said then its fine. by that time the new sales clerk came on counter and told me that there is a limit of only 4 units per item, we have the right to limit the quantity. u can not buy more than 4 chips.i feel so humiliated at that time, other 2 sales clerk saw me that i am filling up my cart, why they don't stop me at that time and why they did not tell me the unit limit. so it means whoever is on cash register is owner of the store. to whom he/she wants can give any deal. moreover when i came back again in store (the sales clerk did not notice that i am in the store)to buy some ointment for some joint pain relief and sales girl and the guy were talking about me for my shopping that i filled up too much chips, but i filled up the cart after getting permission from your clerk.(check your camera it was Philippino clerk ) i run my own business. your staff guided me wrongly first and then after asking me that can not take my stuff. and if there is a only limit of 4 units on every thing in store. moreover sales girl was saying it will be on regular price automatically after i scan 4 chips, how is it possible? i also worked as a manager for 5 yrs in 7-11. and these people making me fool.needs better excuse. it should be clarify in flyer. but i know there is no kind of 4 unit of limit, i did not want to argue with those people in the morning and did not want to waste my whole day after the arguments. only request that train ur people well. the sales clerk pointed out me the sugar and saw my cart, he should e stop me at that time when i asked him for sugar. what is the meaning of talking about my filled shopping cart in my back? so disappoint . I purchased a gift card for $100 for Christmas, the person tried to use it and it said there was no money on the card. I called Shoppers (keele and wilson) on December 28, 2015, where I purchased it from and they said they could not do anything. I talked to 2 employees and both couldn't care to help me resolve my issue. They just wanted to push me off to...
Read full review of Shoppers Drug Martproduct put aside for me, when I got to the store I was told first come/first serve.
I had just been released from the hospital after a c-section and needed a breast pump. The first SDM I went to did not have in stock but called around for me, found a SDM that did and asked them to hold it for me. They even gave me a card from the store so that I can show proof. I went straight to the second SDM and once I got to there the man behind the pharmacy counter (Seemed like a manager), told me that someone is waiting for it and he will be giving it to them because they got there first. Despite explaining my situation to him and then having to press him on the fact that he promised to put the product aside for me, he still refused me the rental. I found this behavior inconsiderate and lacking in compassion. Although he had no way of knowing my situation exactly, many women renting breast pumps are probably coming directly from the hospital. And regardless of my situation, it is not right for an employee to deceive a client by telling them they will put a product aside a product and then decide not to do so once the client arrives. The employee should have just said that it is against policy to hold that item for a client. It was a little of 48 hours from my surgery, I was in pain and had a hard time walking around. I felt taken advantage of, it seemed like all he cared about was getting the product rented and had absolutely no care for the customer. I'm extremely disappointed in the service I received and am considering not going back to that location. This employee was working behind the pharmacy counter is likely working with other potentially vulnerable clients. If this employee is willing to do something like this, I'm sure the service he provides to his other clients must lack the same care and consideration. I hope that this lack of customer consideration is corrected and could continue to be a loyal shopper in other stores at least. I was sworn at on the telephone by the pharmacist who was to taking my refill instructions. His name is Darren . I believe this is not the 1st time. I also went over to the store and with the supervisor Jenny approached him and he said I did not swear at you. He then proceeded to say that God Dam was not swear words. I asked Jenny if she thought that was appropriate language and she said no. She apologized but of course he did not. I said this will be the last time you swear at me and he said " is that all?" The other pharmacy staff appeared to be smirking at this exchange.
Upon leaving the store I was approached by another person and she told me to report him because he had been verbally abusive to her Mother who was extremely ill at the time. So, she was upset that it had happened to me .
His behaviour must not be allowed to continue. He has a history of this kind of behaviour and he needs to be disciplined for his verbal abuse to women.
