Deli service
The deli in the Edgartown Stop and Shop is supposed to be open from 12 to 2. I understand the staffing problems and so I arrange to be at the store during this time. When I went yesterday they couldn't open due to lack of staff. I wouldn't mind this if their pre packaged cold cuts were ones I can use but they don't slice the ones I like and when they do the packages are all 1 pound and I can't use that amount. There are many elderly people who use this store and they just can't use this amount of cold cuts. This is the only store in my town that has a deli. This is very inconvenient.
Desired outcome: If I could pre order my cold cuts to be picked up it would be very helpful.

stop & shop 406 pharmacy,in error,charged me for acid reflux med I dont take and refused to refund my $13.60,, I transferred my account to somewhere else! I was never asked if I had acid reflux just shoved my meds in a bag,like couldnt be bothered to ask a question about the acid reflux,this happened on 26 April 2022
Desired outcome: Please have them refund my money asap

I visited the stop &shop on 4/21/20222 at 7:am at the newark ave store in elizabeth, im constantly having to ask the cashiers to open the gate thats lock were the soap, deoderant toothpaste ectc are located, they have to go to the night crew chief that has a bad attitude, problem and dosent like to open that section for whatever reason, I have to go to work...

My complaint is about customer service of some stop and shop employees at the Northampton,ma and Chicopee ma stop and shop. On a few different occasions an employee told me in a harsh manner " you did not go down there, your lucky you have money to eat". And then started laughing at me. I was insulted.by their remarks. I believe management concurs with their attitude and actions because they do this with no remorse or consequences. I do hope this doesn't happen to me or any other patron of their supermarket.
Desired outcome: Employee should be consoled about the outcomes of " going down there for a taste"
Customer service
Every-time I use the self checkout for my stuff but this time the self checkout all areas were full so I was like let’s give try to use the cashier checkout, The lady who was scanning the items at number 3 (time 4.30pm) was so rude, When I ask her to use my stop and shop card she roll her eyes. she throw all the stuff in the bag, So disappointed, never ever gonna use cashier checkout ever.

I just left the Holyoke Stop & Shop store after trying to purchase for muffins and was told they are $8 when you have a sign on the muffins stating 599 for a four pack of assorted muffins which I had. I was told they were $2 each if I select them myself and the 599 muffins are pre-selected. Tell me in what world does that make any sense. I'm appalled that you would charge someone $2 for one muffin let alone $8 for 4.
Desired outcome: I will pay 5.99 for a 4 pack if assorted muffins that I select but definitely not 8 dollars. Absolutely disgusting

I just want to let you know there is often no bagger at Stop and Shop like there is at Market Basket. You are expected to bag. I spent $310 the other day. The cashier was putting my groceries through and I took out my wallet. She stopped me and said, there are bags right there. Well that's great. I put a few things in the cart when a bagger came over. He was new which is fine, but she was kind of not nice to him about that. I again went for my wallet and she pointed to a bag and said, that is there. Really? I told her Market Basket doesn't expect it's customers to bag. She said, well the conveyer belt gets stuck. Ok. I think that's ridiculous. Don't say its covid and there are no workers. I've been shopping there for 20 years and its always been your policy, although it has gotten worse. I always go through self serve because its quicker and I know I obviously bag there but sometimes I just have too many groceries. She also seemed annoyed I asked if the bagger could take one of my two full carts to my car. Market Baskets employees seem much happier and more helpful. I will be shopping there when I can. Unfortunatly they are a little further and have less stores so I need to go to your store because it is near my house. But I'm not happy about it.
Desired outcome: I'd like an apology.
Glady double package candle
I was stop at a stop and shop and the candles that I had brought the double pack candle and was like 7 dollars and I brought 4 and the candles was Defected

Money service network always down
Dear stop and shop,
I receive money every month and naturally I would go to the stop and shop branch closest to me, so every time I go to that branch at old country road I am received by Sabrina who is apparently there for the morning shift and every time there is always a problem with the network, to which I try to understand and just leave to go to another branch (Hempstead) and this has been happening for about 5-4 months and in a row. Just today I tried again and at first it was the same thing network down again so I try to tell her that this is a recurrent incident happening and the probability of it being a coincidence happening just every time I visit is not logical and I was helped prior by another employee called Bobby as far as I remember, and I ask her to speak to a supervisor so if there is a problem it would be fixed. She took it very defensively; she rebooted the system and it was working finally then there was no sufficient funds!
While I understand the problem of insufficient funds I don’t however appreciate the persistence of their network problem.
And when I tried to speak to the supervisor Christine she confirmed that she has a problem on her own computer sometimes, then denied it then said it’s western union problem that I should speak with them, then it’s Verizon problem! And while I kept telling her that’s been happening for months now and every-time I had to go elsewhere, then she said just go to the other place then and not come to them! I don‘t really understand how or why I was treated that way while I am trying to prevent this problem from ever happening again either to me or anyone else.
This is not customer satisfaction whatsoever, in fact I felt insulted when the supervisor told me to go elsewhere, asking for my name before o leave although I introduced myself what is this some sort of bullying?! I don’t understand why?
I should however mention that I was immediately helped in the Hempstead branch by Karen

My Complaint was about two store managers (Christine and Mr. Scott P.)
as I said in my complaint, I've work at the Martha's Vineyard Hospital for thirty plus year, where we preserve life every day. And I also work at the Dukes County Courthouse where we prostitute criminals every day.
I say this to inform you that I am Not a criminal as a matter of fact I'm a up standing citizen of the United State of America. and I should not have to be criminalize for no valid reason.
I know you have sophisticated surveillance systems installed within each store. Not only are you able to witness customers clandestine behavior but you are also able to review ill behavior employees. so please review your surveillance footage for the last two year and you will see for yourself. How I am singled out and criminalize for no reason. I'm a very well-dressed Black Man who shop at your store around 6:00 to 7:00 pm daily. (Because I like to each fresh.)

this is the third time I'm sending to you this complaint. and the reason for this is I'm not sure you received my first attempt to express my discomfort when shopping at your Edgartown Store.
so, this is how my daily encounter plays out at this location.
I walk into store, and I'm followed around store and Apone checkout there's a manager standing behind or at the register me making sure I paid for all item I've selected. there have been a few times when the cash register has been closed down after my checking out.
You could only imagine how very welcome and uncomfortable this would make any shopper feel.
and as I mentioned in other notes. I work for the Martha's Vineyard Hospital Fulltime for the last 30 plus years and Work parttime at the Dukes County Courthouse at which both jobs pay me very well. I have no reason or need to shoplift anything from your establishment. I've been a homeowner for 30 plus years on the Vinyard and Never experienced anything like this ill treatment.
We also have a home Narragansett Rhode Island and shop at the stop shop with no problems or discrimination.
this complaint is in conjunction with my previous complaint about two stop & shop managers at the Edgartown store location on Martha's Vineyard.
I wanted it to be known that I'm a senior citizen of 66 years and I should not be subjected to this intimidation and discrimination every time I go shopping. as I may have mentioned, I'm a year-round resident here on Martha's Vineyard and I deserve the right to shop without being intimidated each time I walk into Stop & shop.
Sexual harassment
Hello and good day in fear of what may happen to me for complaining I chose to do it here. While at the 465 Atlantic Ave, Oceanside NY 11572, United States location which I frequent with my girlfriend. I was harassed by one of your employees a Simisola Olowo I believe from what I wore. I can’t believe a company like yours allows their employees to grope someone’s genitals while at work. This was in the presence of my girlfriend. The next time in which I came back to the store I was yet again met by the same individual who went ahead to say and I quote “that’s a lot of weight you’re carrying in your pants,” proceeding to attempt to rich me inappropriately. This is in all sense of the way humiliating vile and disgusting. This Simisola needs to be let go. If not I will be forced to get attorneys involved.

I wanna start off by saying I’ve been shopping at Stop nd Shop for 15 years but I recently moved to Coram NY so I’m speaking of the location at 276 Middle Country Rd This is the worst stocked SS I ever seen but the issue is the managers they are the most rude people I’ve ever seen the store is in a Predominantly black neighborhood and you know that soon as u walk in the store just doesn’t care about it’s customers it’s so wrong I asked the manager last week about why there where no hang basket he got very nasty and rude belligerent and told me the “Crackheads” take them all if u want a cart go get a push cart I couldn’t understand why he was being so nasty to me honestly I could tell he has a issue with people of color it’s buddy to the point where I don’t wanna shop in that store I really hope Corporate does something about that specific store EVERY Single human being should be treated with respect not not felt like your less of a person because of the color of my skin I know that this complaint won’t matter because I’ve left complaints before and things are still the same but I have to let it be know when wrong is being done!

Customer service in Stoughton Ma store
Well, it tells you allot about how serious a store takes customers service when they are short a customer service clerk and instead of them having some type of backup service like a cashier or even the rude lady manager that tells you that they can’t help me because her employee didn’t show up. I have been shopping at stop and shop since I arrived in this awesome country on January 19th of 1994 and I see the decline in customer service. Very disappointed. FYI I also saw more customer very disappointed with this situation. Just do better. We are your customers.
Deli counter
I was at your stop n shop on 160 Village Center, freehold Nj. I ordered exactly as such” can I please have a quarter of a pound of the cheapest roast beef”. I am legally blind, my boyfriend had walked away and I couldn’t see what was on sale. I thought it was quite expensive. My boyfriend actually told me to just leave it, but I couldn’t do that. So of course I bought it. My mom was at my home, many days later and I was commenting how expensive roast beef was….can you please explain how the sticker says .25 of a pound…it is $16.99 a pound yet I was charged $12.32? In this day and age shame shame on the computers you are using. How can I get a refund? I know this was an accident, just not being able to see I feel at a disadvantage, I would appreciate a response. I will be more disappointed if no one has the decency to get back to me. Accounts receivable
A 30.00 bounced fee check was charged for a 12.95 pea pod monthly delivery fee. IT was charged because stop and shop billed an inactive account. the information was changed to the correct account months ago on the account page. Also last month mastercard was billed for charge and it went through; this month they billed checking acct.

Digital coupons should be done away with. They do not work on all sites. The people that need the discounts generally do not have computers. They are discriminatory and clip coupons are prefered.

Bottle return machine down for weeks
One of the belts on the plastic bottle return machine has slipped partly off so bottles will stall while trying to deposit them. The machine has been like this for 3 weeks despite reporting it several times. They keep removing the out of service sign even thought the issue has never been resolved, I believe employees do this because the problem does not cause an ERROR to appear on the display.
Desired outcome: Fix the machine or install more than just the one machine
Mayonnaise Store Brand
There used to be 2 store brand mayo's. One was about $3 & one only $2. The $2 mayo was far better than even the name brand ones. Then they stopped making it. Now they have only one store brand at about $3.59 and the flavor is degusting. It tastes like the plastic jar it is in. This is the 2nd or 3rd time and I will no longer be buying from S &S. This item needs to be looked into because it tastes contaminated with chemicals. Please bring back the better $2 brand even though its probably more these days.
Desired outcome: Replace maker of store brand mayo.
