delivery of my credit card from my bank
I renewed my credit card with my bank on the 2nd of january. On the 4th takealot tried contacting me to arrange delivery but I missed their call. Same day I returned their call and was told my card would be delivered to me on the 9th before 5pm. Within minutes they flooded my inbox with their smsz reitterating that they would deliver my card on the 9th before 5pm. I gave them my work address as the delivery address and I waited for over 30 minutes for them to deliver my card but they never arrived at all. Mind you I had urgent matters I needed to attend to financially with my credit card. Because they didn't arrive as they promised I failed to attend to those matters and that caused me a lot of grief, financially and emotionally. I am still awake at 12.37am on 10th january still stressing over them not delivering my credit card.

I ordered some items on the 12th of December and then again on 15 December 2018. For my first order some items had to be shipped so I would have to wait 10 to 12 working days and then delivery. My second order was in stock. I was notified that my parcel will be delivered on 20/12/2018. On 20/12/2018 I get a notification that the package was sent to the incorrect courier facility and it had to be rerouted. When I mailed takealot the agent told me it was due to incorrect delivery address on my side. ( Takealot has delivered to this address before without issues). All information I got was that the delivery will be rescheduled. On 30/12/2018 I was notified it will be deliverd on 31/12/2018. My recipient was waiting for the call to pick it up at the delivery address. No call was received. Instead we were notified recipient wasn't available to take delivery. Delivery is rescheduled to 2/01/2019. Finally got the package after numerous mails which was only responded to on 2/01/2019. Now my 1st package ordered... I got the notification that some of it will be delivered on 2/01/2019 the rest on 22/01/2019 and one product has been cancelled as the supplier is out of stock. What happens on 2/01/2019? Same story. Wrong courier facility and the delivery will be rescheduled. I based all my transport on their dates. Thus, I will not receive my package as my transport leaves on 3/01/2019. Takealot will not see me for a while.
To add to the above. When my recipient opened the game in Namibia, some of the cards are missing. So they can't play it. After numerous mails stretching over days, the conclusion is I have to return the package. I told them to courier it from Namibia and back will cost more than the product. Their response is their hands are tied. If they delivered on time this would not have been an issue. If I knew this was the service I would have never ordered the items and would have bought it in the shop. #takealot will not see me again.
takealot collection service
Bought a portable sweeper to collect. SMS received that ready collect on 31 Dec but found them closed, as they did not tell me that they were finishing early. Went again a couple of days later — first, a delay getting into their industrial security park. Then you sign in on an iPad, where I was asked for my shipping number, but I did not have it on my phone. So entered just my name and phone number. Then sat waiting almost 30 minutes with dozens of others for my turn. Then told that I have to go to the back of the queue as I did not have my order number. What the hell is the purpose of pre-paying so that they can get the order ready and then having to wait so long while they get the goods? Eventually had to leave as I ran out of time. Wrote to them that they could keep their product and get me a credit but no response.
You could say that I went twice, my first and last times. A very arrogant way of doing business, with staff that need to learn how to smile.

I made a purchase on the app and paid via eft and my order was canceled after payment made. I realized my order was canceled and requested a refund which I have not received despite all the calls and emails sent to takealot customer. To make matters worse I'm now sent from pillar to post no one wants to take ownership and credit my money back ans no proper feedback is given. Every day it's a different story.
Was at some point requested to submit proof of payment which I sent and on follow up again requested to send a bank SMS confirming funds were transferred frommy account

Marked Item returned on 24/12/2018, received date for pickup no pickup, emails sent, received another pickup date, again no pickup of return, emails phone calls and then got the courier company's name, no explanation from them why I had to stay at home waiting for them to come and do the pickup, again phone calls got the name of the agent courier in town, delivered the parcel myself to their depot.
Still no refund and it was my stove hob that packed up.
DPD Couriers cant give explanation why I was not phoned or why my parcel was not picked up.
Still waiting for some of my emails to be answered.
I can understand that there was a lot of pubic holidays in between but there was also business day and the lack of communication by Takealot and/or their couriers is unexceptable.

• All items showed as in stock
• Delivery date showed 21st December 2018
• Items were not delivered on 21st December 2018
• Delivery date then showed 24th December 2018
• After many many emails and phone calls I was assured that my order would at some time get delivered on Christmas eve even though website showed 31st December
• With every phone call and email I kept asking if I should go and do shopping and presume my takealot order was not going to arrive. I was told no that it would be delivered.

• On the 26th I was told that delivery date was 27 December 2018
• Order was delivered on teh 26th. Half of the items I ordered are missing. The are items in my package received that I did not even order!
• What has upset me the most is on Christmas eve nobody from Takealot once said, it looks like your ordered is not going to be delivered so best you go and do some shopping!

Speaking to so many diffrent employees and no one can assist.
I dont want the credit i never requested a credit, i want the umbrella.
I have twins and i believe in equal and fair so i will not give one child something that i cant provide for the other.
If it is such a mission for takealot just to deliver the other ubrella that is short then rather refund me for both umbrellas and come fetch the other one and refund my money.

I must say, I'm extremely disappointed in Takealot. I've place an order for Christmas gifts on the 11th. According to them the parcel should have been delivered on the 19th. Needless to say this never happened. I phoned on the 20th. The operator promised to come back to me the next day. Which never happened. This morning I phone again, still no luck only promises. Around 4 o'clock the afternoon I tried again. This operator showed some promise. He phoned the courier company which informed him that they never received the parcel. He was going to log a query with their dispatching department. As he was working until 10 o'clock he would phone me back before he goes off. Once again empty promises. I phoned just before 10. The operator informed me no such query was logged! I asked to speek to a manager and was put on hold for 19 minuted. I phoned again. I was informed that there was no manager on the floor. Why put me on hold if you know that? Once again promises was made. Will be extremely surprised if this one is kept. In the mean time there is a good chance there will be no Christmas gifts under the tree this year for my kids!

So, I just had another disappointing interaction with Takealot. After i have ordered something and the delivery date to my delivery adress was scheduled for today the 20th December, i was told that my package won't be delivered to me today and it may not even be delivered on the 24th because "my area" only gets serviced on tuesdays. Which now will also not happen tuesday as it is Xmas on tuesday.
My only other option is to drive to the courier depot which is 30km out of my way, tomorrow. Which is flippen ridiculous as I paid for the courier to deliver to me. This is the second time that this has happened to me.
I think this was the last time i ever order from you.

Timeline for requesting an invoice for a UPS: an account of poor service from Takealot
7 December: placed order for Tescom Line Interactive UPS - 700VA, order number [protected].
8 December: spoke to Sxxxxxx Wxxxxxxx to request a change of name on the invoice. She gave me the invoice number, [protected], and told me to call Takealot when the UPS arrived.
11 December: UPS arrived. I called Takealot to request the change of name on the invoice. The consultant I spoke to told me to send an email to [protected]@takealot.co.za which I did. Shortly after sending the email I received a notification that the email address which I had been given by the consultant is not monitored. I used the ticket sent by Sxxxxxx on 8 December to request the invoice for this item.
12 December: I received an email from Cxxxx Fxxxxxxx requesting the order number which I provided early on 13 December.
13 December: I received an email from Bxxxxxx Nxxx acknowledging my email sent to Cxxxx. She promised to escalate the matter.
14 December: Since I had not received any feedback on this matter, I called Takealot and was told to request an invoice on the system which I did. The consultant told me that these matters usually take an hour or two to resolve. I checked our invoices on Takealot later that day to find the following message on the system from the third-party support team:
Hi There,
Thank you for your request.
We will process to your invoice shortly, Kindly provide us with the serial number on the back of the UPS.
Email it to [protected]@tescomsa.co.za, With your Name and surname.

We sent the serial number to Xxxxxx within the hour (14 December).
19 December: I called Takealot and spoke to a consultant who promised to get a manager to call me, no call received.
20 December: The message from Xxxxxx is still on the system, there is no invoice as promised.
This experience is a very poor reflection on your service as an online provider of goods. The ordering and delivery process went smoothly but trying to get the paperwork for my credit card manager has been a nightmare.
I believe that you need to look into the training of your consultants so that they do not give customers the wrong information which wasted my time. There appears to be no continuity in handling the emails between Takealot and the client. If I had not called Takealot on Friday, 14 December the request for the invoice would still be pending.
late delivery and lies
Order #[protected] was supposed to be delivered on the 21/12. Received mail now saying it will be delivered on the 24/12 due to one item being late from their supplier. I know this is not true as all items ordered were in stock in JHB or CPT Takealot Warehouses. After calling the call center and speaking to an agent and manager they confirmed that nothing was late from the supplier and all items are in the Cape Town Warehouse. Takelot is unwilling to rectify this late delivery or allow me to collect it from their warehouse. I was informed that all items where already in Cape Town, but they will not be able to deliver by tomorrow and won't allow me to collect. I need to wait until they reach the dispatch center tomorrow before they can let me know whether I will be able to collect or not. Delivery date to my work premises on the 24th is unacceptable as my company is closed and I will be away. As a company that says its customer focused and pride themselves on delivery, how can you be unwilling to assist a customer? It does not take 3 days to deliver an item from the Cape Town Warehouse to Ndabeni, which is 20min away. Will be taking this complaint further until a plan is made to deliver my order on time or allow me to collect in on time.

I ordered this items to give as christmas presents. Takealot told me that my order will be delivered on the 19th of December. I scheduled this with my family to receive the order at our home address.
Takealot emailed me on the 13th of December that there has been a delay on the airpod item. I replyed back that this is unacceptable for me as I ordered the items already on the 23rd of November. I told them that if they can't send me the airpods they must give me another alternative. Nobody replyed on my email yet.
I'm living overseas and only see my family once a year, I ordered on takealot because I've never had a delayed issue before and everything that I ordered was in time. When I ordered the products, it was in stock.

I ordered 2 folding tables. Order number 60635812. Only 1 table was delivered on the 12th of december? The delivery guy said that they only had 1 and that the other 1 will soon be delivered. I immediately phoned the call center to inquire and received a mail back but have not heard anything since. This morning I got a notification that another table was ordered on my account which I did not order. I will not pay for another table and want my second table that I have paid for delivered.

We buy from Takealot nearly everyday. Our account is pretty big with them.
We bought staff Christmas presents for our Staff which are going on leave from today. I have called since Monday the 10th Dec 2018 following up on this order because one of the items had a delay so the delivery schedule changed from the 11th Dec 2018 to the 13th Dec 2018. Now I know when delivered are not met Takealot normally arranges the rest of the goods in stock to be delivered.
I am still waiting for a response and I expect some sort of reconciliation for the mess up as I have no patience now. We run our own online store and know the procedures that go into shipping. Takealot owns their own courier company and I would expect them to be on time or give feedback on what is happening.

On the of November 2018, I purchased a kids bible ( Compact Kids Bible-ICB-Glitter Wings Beaded Jeweled Handle) The expected delivery date was the 7th of December 2018 as they were out of stock and awaiting stock.
I then received an email 2-days before the 7th that my delivery date was moved to the 10th of December 2018. On the 7th of December, I then received another email that my delivery date was moved again to the 12th of December 2018.
I called Takealot.com and spoke to the floor manager Leo he promised me that my order will be delivered to me on the 12th of December 2018. Today I get a mail from Takealot.com saying my order was cancelled as the supplier has still not delivered. I have been waiting for this for almost a month and now I get this from them!
The manager Leo was so unhelpful and kept on making excuses. My question is how can Takealot.com promise customers items they don't have, accept our payment for the item well in advance and then don't deliver the item because of their useless logistics processes and then make it the customers issue.
The worst customer service ever! Over promise and does not deliver!
I will never use Takealot.com again! They have no respect for their customer who in fact make it possible for them to operate, but they disregard this fact totally!
