Takealot Defective projector

Return reference no. RRN-0CCE-CFCE, Order Number [protected].
Purchased a projector and it stopped working after 4 or 5 uses. Requested for the product to be returned to Takealot so they arranged with their Logistics team for the item to be collected. The first date, Friday 2nd March 2018, they told me via text message that the item will be collected before 17:00, so I waited and they didn't come, so I called their call centre and they apologised and said they will follow up with their logistics team and then I received an email stating that they will reschedule the collection for Tuesday 6th March 2018, so I waited 'again' and still they didn't come, so I sent them an email and called their call centre again and they apologised and said that they will check with their logistics team again and then they rescheduled the collection for the next day, Wednesday 7th March 2018. 'Yet again' I waited and still no one came, so I went through the same process and they rescheduled for the next day and still nothing, and then again contacted the call centre and sent another email and then they apologised yet again and rescheduled again for that Friday and yet again nothing. I have been waiting at my home literally cancelling any plans I had for the week during the day so that I can wait for this defective product to be collected, and it is frustrating and a waste of my time and unfortunately I will not be that time back. They now rescheduled for today Monday 12th March 2018. I'm hoping and praying that they collect as scheduled as I cannot afford to waste any further time.

Takealot Returns not being picked up

I logged a return on the 1st of March. Everything seemed to be in order but no one came to pick up the parcel. Then I started emailing you twice to follow up regarding this and still nothing happened. Then I sent you a Facebook message and again two days in a row nothing happened. This morning I want to track the return and now it states the return was concluded... HOW is this possible? You normally offer such great service and now you messed this up so badly and no one is taking responsibility and I still haven't been refunded or told what went wrong and how this can slip through the cracks. Please contact me.

Takealot Lenovo ideapad 320 notebook not working

I lodged a complaint telephonicaly with one of your Customer Care
Consultants- Brian Nkwaba. My Lenovo Ideapad 320 has stopped
working, screen froze and all icon's are gone.

I explained that this is a matter of urgency, as I use this computer for
business purposes. Have worked on laptop and need information
to be retrieved, and downloaded Office Home and Student 2010, at my own expense-
which I would like replaced if I get a new laptop.

Your courier company had delivered the package to a security guard in our
Estate- no delivery note, so nothing was signed for? Though your Consultant was very helpful and understanding. I still have no solutions
to my problem. I would like to believe that Takealot.com would show speedy, efficient service at a time like this?

Takealot Poor service delivery

Ordered on 28 feb, All in stock items -
Delivery due 6 March according to takealot.com when I placed the order.
By 6 March there were zero tracking updates. I emailed and message on Facebook only to get the same robotic responses. After complaining about the fact that my order was supposed to be delivered today and id been waiting at home most of today already, suddenly the tracking data changed to say delivery was only due 7 March. Luckily I took a screen shot of the original tracking post. Disgusted with takealot.com service as well as there underhanded and sly editing of the expected arrival date. 8days for in stock courier items is ridiculous!

Dont worry, i had a very similar experience, where o had purchased 2 in stock items same night, and the main purchase, an emergency cell phone i needed to replace mine, i was promised AFTER PAYMENT, which was the first of the 2 orders as well, a delivery date of 2 days later.

The second screen protector i ordered later after the site had an OUT OF STOCK screen protector as an add on, and only after i had paid for my order was the IN STOCK screen protector even displayed. Well unlike the first order, after payment i received an SMS, when the courier picked up this item i was SMSed, on delivery day i was SMSed, and after it was delivered i was SMSed.

My phone after the protector was delivered in fact had not even been picked or confirmed, yet since i did this all late at night, since the payments were both taken, and since it is an AUTOMATED system, there was something wrong, i complained and was promised the next day, and i got nothing. On Monday it was finally PICKED but since i had to wait for Friday, Saturday (i was supposed to work after missing Friday) and then Monday, only being told a DELIVERY DATE OF WEDNESDAY, which is in fact against TAKEALOTS own TOC, i had lost Friday, Saturday, Monday and Wednesday of my life, had no phone, had been lied to about Saturday and Monday delivery, and was even given a delivery date 2 weeks after order, yet i could still place an IN STOCK ORDER on that MONDAY.

The real side of it all was, they started A PROMO on the Friday after i had it delivered, on this XIAOMI REDMI 4a, which i am pretty sure, due to a PROMO, they would keep all add on's for a not very well known device, WITH THE DEVICE, as it would be illogical to separate 2 low sold items, that would only really be SOLD TOGETHER.

I have asked / sent 4 requests for the reason for the delay, when i was told by the shop there was stock, by TAKEALOT there was stock, and even that there was stock almost a week later.

DISGUSTING support and ANC ethics well done TAKEALOT.

Takealot Humble bumbles baby journal

On the website description it states that the journal comes with a nine pocket expandable accordion file. I purchased this particular journal because it came with the file. However when the order was delivered there was no file included. I then returned the journal as advised by a consultant from the customer care team. However the journal was still returned back to me without the file.

I have tried to send it back again but it's been more than 30 days so the return is no longer eligible.

I am very disappointed with the false advertisement. I purchased that particular journal because it came with the file, which I never got. I am totally disappointed and disgusted with what happened.

Takealot Delivery

I have been home the entire day today, 5 march 2018, and friday 2 march 2018, waiting for my parcel to arrive. When I logged on to see where the parcel was it said I was not at home. I am not happy because here was nobody with a delivery van today or friday. The driver of the van did not even honk the horn to let me know he or she was here. I would like this issue to be resolved before tomorrow afternoon.

Takealot Bad driving

Last Thursday I was travelling on the N3 South in the far left hand lane before the Linksfield Road exit, where a Takealot vehicle suddenly appeared right at my rear with literally 1 metre space between the Takealot vehicle and my own. The driver then proceeded to try and pass on the inside (yellow emergency lane) which is highly illegal and very dangerous. He then continued to drive right up against my vehicle until I found space to move into the next lane to my right. He then drove at a high speed past me where I pressed my vehicle's horn to indicate and express my anger over his poor form of driving, where he then put up his hand and gave a "waved me off" gesture.

Having been a longtime Kalahari.net and Takealot customer, I am very dissappointed with the aggressive and dangerous manner with which an employee of your company represents your brand.

This kind of behaviour must be met with disciplinary action!

Well ... this just goes to show how TAKEALOT picks their battles. I went through some of the other complaints and not response from Kim Reid. Seems like when they are in the wrong, they keep quiet. Its okay, make enough people angry TAKEALOT and you can be sure you will eventually go the same route as Groupon. I will be totally gobsmacked if Kim bothers to respond to my complaint. Guys do yourselves a favour, TAKEALOT is NOT cheaper than other places. Shop around. Also on their products advertised they say "supplied by". Those suppliers have a website with prices much much cheaper than TAKEALOT (even with delivery). TAKEALOT "loads" the prices and then gives you an abatory discount lulling you into the false pretence of "getting a bargain". TAKEALOT has to make a profit and the only way they can do this is by loading the prices. I have put stuff in my wish list and then compared MAKRO, GAME, OUTDOOR WAREHOUSE to name a few and they have been cheaper 99% of the time (even with example R75 delivery from MAKRO

Good Day,

One of your drivers reversed into my car at our offices today 10:45 when we came to collect a package.

I’ve phoned the Bloemfontein branch and spoke to Wilna and she informed me that you can’t accept responsibility for the driver and the driver does not have insurance.

Can somebody please assist with this matter as my car needs to be fixed and the driver Angus September (IDnr: [protected]) does not have insurance and he was doing work for you and worn your company’s t-shirt and name badge.

Sorry to hear that!

But honestly, did you really use you phone (which is illegal BTW) to take pictures of our driver? It is a such a shame, that careless people like you block traffic, preventing our diligent staff not being able to deliver parcels on time. I am sure you will think differently about our sense of urgency vs your "Driving Miss Daisy"-attitude.

We will not discipline our driver as he probably avoided an accident due to your careless driving and being on the phone like you have just shown.

Takealot Return not being finalised after 8 weeks

A return was logged 23 december.

After extensive miscommunication and mistakes made by takeallot, for example not being able to find the item the original supplier sent to takeallot as a replacement, I personally followed up with the supplier to figure out what was going on with the return with the replaced item being sent to ta middle january already. They even used incorrect contact and delivery details, even though it was confirmed with me with one of their consultants. I am still waiting (20 february) for the replaced item to be shipped back to me, with no one at takeallot really being able to fix my problem.

I would like to have the replacement unit sent to me before the end of this week 23 february 2018.

Takealot Missing replacement blade:[protected] (ref. 4500423)

Purchased hair clippers. Advertisement claimed that I would be receiving a replacement blade with the clippers which I obviously didn't receive. Reported the issue on 5 January 2018 after collection. Was in contact with Chad Weaver and Sheena Solomon but up until today, a month and half and many emails later still waiting on my replacement blade. Lots of talk from Takealot but no delivery on their word.
Not willing to do any business with them until my issue is resolved. False advertising and thievery at its best.

Takealot zooming redmile tab

I am a very very very disappointed customer today, I have spendedone thousands of rands buying items from takealot sometimeso I spend r10 000 once, only to find that my xiomi redmi tab3 is only be looked at today? They phoned me for the password today to fix it and I sended it back 10 months ago? The ombudsman and media is going to hear about 'this

You ought to be ashamed of yourselves! What a disappoinmen you are!,

Takealot order number [protected] not delivered

On 8 February I bought two text books and received same day confirmation that the books are ready for collection on order [protected].

I went to the warehouse and the books were not there. I requested that the books be couriered to me as I am not driving another 40 km to pick up the books. I received email confirmation that the books were collected at the warehouse. I did not collect it. To date I am still waiting for my books.

Takealot service

After this first experience of placing an order, it being sent to the incorrect depo to it being sent to the correct one, missing the delivery date by 2 days, being refused the opportunity to speak to a manager via the call centre on 2 occasions, to having to explain to my son whose 4th birthday the order was for...

I will never do online shopping with take alot ever again. Thank you for the crappiest online shopping experience ever!

Takealot Luminox Mens Watch #4605848

Round about March last year, my wife spotted the above watch on Takealot.com at a reasonable price.
She decided to buy it there and then for my birthday, which was however only in October.
Subsequently on the 25th of October, she gave me the watch as a present.
I was quite disappointed to see that the watch was not working or ticking erratically, which I took to be a weak battery.
I took the watch to our local jeweller to replace the battery and this is when the real disappointment set in.
It appears that the watch is a dud. Even with a new battery, the watch ticked a bit, stopped, jerked a bit and that's it.
What is very concerning is that when the crown is screwed back in to lock it, the minute hand moves at least 4 minutes back which means that the time will never be correct.
I subsequently took the watch to Cajees and the watchmaker confirmed that the mechanism was faulty as even after he replaced the battery with one of his, it ran the battery down in a matter of a minute!
I have never even had this watch on my wrist! We asked to return the watch, but because it was past 6 months since purchase, it had to be submitted for repairs.
This watch has been floating around at Takealot / the agent / seller whoever since 22 Novenber 2017! We have been informed that the watch was being repaired, then it was repaired, then it was back in the warehouse, then it was being repaired and so on! Shockingly, last week Takealot had the audacity to return some crummy watch that we have never purchased, not even in a decent box but in a cheap plastic bag and expected us to accept this shoddy service!
This is nothing more than an absolute scam in my opinion! As at my last email to Takealot, I either want the watch returned by CoB today in full working order or a full refund!

Takealot faulty item, delivery and promo code

Initially, I'd ordered a watch for my fiance as a Christmas Gift, the Item was delivered and broken, I then logged an exchange. The Item was collected and then returned back to the warehouse. I've been waiting for the Item, no confirmation of delivery of the watch. I then ordered a pack of nappies for my son with the remaining credits I had, not knowing that TakeAlot has just gone ahead and credited my account for the returned watch, as to my knowledge, I didn't ask for money/credits back. I asked for an exchange, so waited in good faith for an email about dispatch of the replacement. I did not monitor the credits avail, but knew I'd had enough to purchase the nappies. I then called and was advised by a very unhelpful colleague that Id used some of the money for the nappies and their process is their process - No customer service given whatsoever, not even an attempt. I then escalated my complaint and asked for a manager, Ruth advised that the manager will give me a call back on Sat, (which was the next day)as my complaint is hierarchy and needs attention - No call. On Monday I received a very ridiculous email, not even an apology that the manager didn't call me as promised. Just another negative response, that, we are unable to help you, as some of the credits were used already ( Not understanding my point) ... I left it as that!

I then took time out and decided to reattempt this order and add the credits to a brand new watch - (A month after Christmas).. I ordered the Item and noticed that the credits weren't applied, as I had initially added it, I received confirmation that the order has been placed and the amount of money that will be collected upon delivery.. Directly after this, I sent TakeAlot an email, to advise them that I would like to add my credits. I spoke to Sihle, she advised that she will sort this for me and that I should just let her know when the Item has been shipped, so that she can communicate Internally about the amt I would need to pay, less my credits. I didn't need to do this, as she had already emailed me to advise that all is in order and I will only pay a R 103 difference. I ended up paying the full amt including delivery of R289!

My Item was delivered today, and I literally had to fork out the extra cash as my credits were NOT deducted.

Takealot has just left me extremely disappointed!

We ordered a Perpetual Magnetic Year Planner through your website. The board got damaged during transit and we requested a return.
We received an sms on number [protected] that collection was scheduled for 29 January 2018 (yesterday) at 5pm. No-one pitched.

Takealot defective product still not collected and exchanged

I purchased a Chelino High chair for my baby on 06/12/2018. We didn't open and use it yet as the baby was still too small, but purchased it so long as it was on special. On the evening of 16/01/2018 we opened it to assemble it, put the parts for the booster seat is incorrect and does not fit on the table. I arranged collection there and then and immediately received an sms that collection will be on 18/01/2018. This day came and went and no collection was done. Then I phoned yesterday morning (22/01/2018) to hear when collection will be. The lady first of all told me that the waybill says the customer was not available for collection on 16/01/2018 and it was rescheduled for 22/01/2018. What nonsense! I only arranged the collection on the evening of 16/01/2018 so yes, the customer was indeed not available for collection. She then promised me that collection would be 22/01/2018. At about 16:45 no collection was done as yet. I then phoned again and the lady who I then spoke to said she will contact the collection team and will either then phone me or send me a mail. No mail was send and no phone call was made AND STILL NO COLLECTION! When is this going to be collected and when am I going to receive a new high chair? This is absolutely pathetic service and I am really getting very annoyed and would rather not order from TakeAlot again. I get a defective product and then they are so absolutely useless in replacing it.

Takealot barney 27 inch plush teddy

Bought the teddy because it says 27 inch, teddy is far from 27 inches and is smaller than my hand. It arrived when expected but didn't not reach my expectations at all. Very disappointed! 27 inch is roughly 68 cm and this teddy was barely even 30 cm. I couldn't even send it back as their birthday was that same day and they had already seen the Barney's!

Takealot delay on order

I was informed that I would receive the delivery of my order by Thursday the 18th of Jan.
When I checked up on my order they claim now that it will only be here by the 23 because you are waiting on supplier, when the order was placed now where did it indicate that it was out of stock. Please advise to as why this is and why wasn't I notified on the status of this order.

I am on leave but I asked a friend/ colleague to sign for me. She says nothing had been delivered. Please tell me why. This is despicable service from your side. Please assist. I want it delivered before 5pm before the branch closes its doors. Make it happen. Please give me a phone number so I can contact you.
