Temu Review: Low Prices, Free Shipping, and Easy Returns - My Experience with Online Shopping
I stumbled upon Temu one day when a beautiful tee caught my eye. I had never heard of the website before, so I asked my son for his opinion. He mentioned that his wife orders from Temu, which piqued my interest. I decided to take a chance and order the tee, but not before doing a quick search for Temu reviews. I came across some negative comments, but I decided to give it a shot anyway.
To my surprise, Temu turned out to be just like other popular online shopping websites. The prices were great, and as a paper crafter who collects lots of craft metal dies, I was thrilled to find that Temu's sellers also offered the dies at even better prices with free shipping! As I continued to browse the website, I found myself getting hooked and couldn't stop shopping. I placed my first order, then another, and another. I even placed another order just the other day. However, I did end up returning the pretty tee I initially ordered because the fabric was too thin for my liking.
Thankfully, Temu makes it easy to do a return. The first return from an order is free, and all you have to do is take a picture and explain the reason for the return. If you decide to return other items from the original order, you will be charged for the second return. I think that's very fair. You can credit the return back to the original payment or credit it to your Temu account. I don't return too many items, and the prices are so low that I usually just credit my Temu account, knowing that I'll order more things. I've never had any problems with a return. In fact, depending on the seller, some don't even require you to send back the item/items, while others do.
So far, I have been happy with many of the items I ordered. Of course, pictures always look perfect, so it can be a little deceiving. I have only returned a few items that didn't work well or were of poor quality. I don't like to use the word "cheap" because it doesn't sound nice, and I don't want to insult anybody.
Unlike other online orders that can take up to two months to arrive, Temu always delivers within two weeks. In fact, they even advertise that if you don't receive your order in a timely manner, they will give you a $5 credit. I've never had that happen.
I've included several items that I ordered and am very happy with, except for the last couple of pictures, which I shall explain in a few minutes.
Picture #1: During Chinese New Year, I started shopping on Temu and found this cute bracelet for the Year of the Rabbit. I ordered three, one for myself and two for friends for a belated party.
Picture #2: I ordered organza pouches to put keychains in for a Mother's Day gift project for my grandkids' classes. I got 100 bags for only $3.50. The quality may not be the best, but I can't even buy the fabric and ribbon to make them, let alone the time.
Pictures #3 and #4: I ordered self-sealing bags that were a little on the thin side but perfect for what I needed them for. I put small alphabet stickers in some, and in the next picture, I used the same bags to make Graduation Confetti. I made autograph books for my grandkids graduating from 6th grade for end-of-the-year gifts, and the excess was too pretty and looked like nice confetti.
Picture #5: I ordered twist ties with bows connected to them. I have a lot of twist ties that fall apart when I use them, meaning the wire separates from the foil. After reading some positive reviews on Temu, I decided to order two packages. I tested one right away when I received my order and was pleasantly surprised that the twist tie did not fall apart and passed the test. The bow looks cute.
Picture #6: I ordered mini cubes for my other grandkids' class for the end-of-the-year party favors. Temu had 36 for $10.98, but I received an email for a lightning deal for only $3.29! What a deal! I was so happy.
Pictures #7 and #8: I ordered a bunny craft metal die, which was larger than I expected but turned out to be a great size. I made cards for my grandkids and punched out the bunny to use for the tag for the arrangement.
Pictures #9 and #10: I thought the macaron pill boxes were so cute. I ordered nine, three for each of three friends at 39 cents each. I made the little boxes, and they look so cute.
Pictures #11, #12, and #13: I found that Temu really has the best prices for marker pens. I spent weeks searching the web for the best quantity and prices. I did order a couple from two well-known websites, but I couldn't help myself and ordered these from Temu. They are very nice quality markers.
Picture #14: I thought these little snack trays were so cute. They're great for French fries, dim sum, etc. In this picture, I'm showing my lunch. They are made of decent plastic that is not too thin and washes well in the dishwasher. They're fun to use.
Pictures #15 and #16: I ordered tassels to use for the Mother's Day keychain project. Believe it or not, this set comes with 100 tassels, 100 jump rings, and 100 screw eye pins, a total of 300 for the set at $6.11. What a great deal! I received a lightning offer for a whopping $2.03. WOW, what timing, and of course, I couldn't pass this up.
However, I was disappointed with the quality of the tassels when I received my order. Some were dirty, and most of the tassels were not straight. They are made from leather, and you can't straighten them out. As great a deal as this was, I will have to return them. Fortunately, I ordered a set from another website last year that is waiting to be used, and the quality is so much nicer. Even though the products all come from China, you never know what you're getting. The tassels are one example of an unhappy order.
Picture #17: The description for this thing that looks like a rake is for combing the hairs that are stuck on hairbrushes. It didn't look that small on the website, so I thought it would be useful for my two friends and myself. It was much smaller, and I did test it, and it worked but seemed kind of flimsy. I didn't want to give it to my friends and have it break on them, so I returned them. I was not required to return the product, but I was trying to think of how I could use the rake. That's my word for it. It was useful in fluffing up the pom-pom, and I also used it to clean the vacuum roller. This thing was useful after all!
The only annoying problem I have with Temu is that they constantly send emails 24/7. I took one star off for this.
Temu.com Review: Mega Bait and Switch Schemes, Poor Quality Control, and Bogus Coupons
Mega bait and switch schemes! I mean, seriously, Temu.com is a total scam. They bombard you with texts and emails multiple times a day about spin-off games, more items you need, etc. The items post a particular price, however when you make a selection to specify color, you are charged a higher price than posted. If an item lists a quantity like 10, COUNT it when you receive it. There are misprints on their site as to quantity or you lose items due to poor packaging. All orders are sent in plastic mailing bags WITHOUT padding, and that includes electronics. Although they pack your items so that electronics are covered by other items, the articles shift during delivery. So even if electronics are in a box, the box can be crushed or the item damaged from rough handling during shipment.
Half of your order doesn't get filled because they claim they are out of the item, then you get enticements about other substitutes you may like, albeit at a different price. Then miraculously, after your order is placed, those missing items are suddenly in abundance and you can now add to your order. The products have been magnified. You get disappointed at delivery because what you thought is a standard-sized item is a mini version. One instance is a circular ceiling mount with several hooks. Well, don't use this to hold pots or pans- it is tiny, and at best it may be good for a few neck chains minus any heavy pendants.
Some items are ok and match their pictures, others don't. One CD/DVD player I bought to plug into a computer lists it as a 7 to 1, lauding its many features. What I got is a minimal plastic laptop attachment with 4 USB ports. The site listed it for $25.48 and shows the player and 7 different adaptor cords, you only get 1 to tap into your laptop. When I went back on their website to get the picture with its associated price with all of the attachments, the listing is no longer there. You get an item that is cheaper than what you ordered, in price and in quality.
The backpack cover picture on their site is not clear because it shows a black backpack in the picture. What you get is a cover similar to what you put on an exposed spare tire on the back of your vehicle, you might as well use a plastic bag and save your money. I ordered 2 different large capacity tote/ duffle type bags, 2 different listings, one claiming to be larger than the other. What I got was 2 identical bags. An item that is listed for a higher price early on their inventory is shown at a lower price further down if you keep scrolling. Many people don't keep scrolling, thinking they got a great price.
Their 5 piece cotton fabrics look higher quality because of the metallic highlights. What you get is a cotton with a wider weave that does not match our common cottons. These 5 packs can be listed at $2.98, then $1.99, then $1.49 in the same order session. However, they will tell you each price is an offer that only lasts for a few minutes more. Yet, the same prices were listed 2-3 days afterward. There are no coupons anywhere on their site (or any other coupon sites on the web), yet when you complain and want to return an item, sometimes they'll say not to return and they will refund. Well, you get refunded MINUS a coupon amount, so you only get a partial refund. What coupon and where?
The crystals I ordered came without hanging cords. The crochet hooks, some shown in cases, came in plastic bags. The drills they offer, from manual to electric, are dangerous pieces of crap. Not only are they tiny, you get a limited number of drill bits that are small in gauge like a sewing needle. The drill bits constantly separate from the unit even if you tighten them as much as possible, they still come out, and can damage your project or injure you. The big extra-sized storage totes are made out of the same stuff like the blue Walmart bags at the registers for 74c and aren't that sturdy. First, the seams aren't always sewn properly to catch all the pieces together so the seam can separate, also the fabric can get punctured and does tear.
The majority of totes or duffles are standard nylon. There are several different knitting looms. The one I ordered showed the pegs in place (looked like one solid unit) with a blue knitted item on it in progress. What I got was a loom with loose pegs. The loom and the pegs were in separate cellophane bags taped together but the cellophane bags with the pegs were torn open and was missing pegs. They were not in the shipping bag, but, in fact, were long gone before the item was packaged for shipping- so poor quality control.
The portable urinal is nothing more than a poorly made funnel. The exit drain is smaller gauge than a standard-sized drinking straw so whatever exits your body is going to build up rapidly and provide you with a bath you don't want. It might work well if you want to water an indoor plant at a slower rate. The security roller to block out sensitive data on your mail is only 1 1/4 " x 1 1/2" (yes, less than 2 inches); you're going to get carpal tunnel syndrome from rolling this thing over your addresses and account numbers. The plastic rain deflectors for your vehicle's side-view mirrors are 7" at its maximum length so it will not be suitable for trucks, you're basically diverting rain a little but not blocking it.
If you email, you don't always get an appropriate answer with them missing the point on most problems. Yes, they don't want you to return faulty items because they are already inundated with their own crap. This place is like a shut-down Asian flea market that got bought out by Temu. I haven't found any item made in America. Instruction sheets are missing or they are so minimal they don't help. Most of the time, the inserts just tell you the name of the product.
I ordered twice because many were items I needed and I was interested in the quality, but no more, Temu is not reliable and not honest with their bogus coupons. They have this astronomical amount of money listed that you supposedly saved- I don't know what they're using for comparison, just don't get fooled. Don't be like many other folks who buy junk off the clearance shelves because they have a red tag on them- many of those prices ARE the regular price only on a red sticker to lure you. Temu is a master bait and switch operation.
If you have money to blow and like to play Russian Roulette, then knock yourself out. As with any online merchandiser, you are at the mercy of their hype, poor photography, or magnification. Face it, it's nothing more than a crapshoot. And for the few items I liked, it doesn't make up for the many things that were incomplete, cheap, or malfunctioning.

Although my package was dispatched from Los Angeles on the 10th of December, the tracking information did not update beyond the 11th. According to their site, my packages were to be delivered anytime in between December 14th – December 23rd.
Today is finally the day of delivery, December 23rd, at 2:30 in the afternoon, and I still have not received my packages. I have already received my mail for the day, so I know the packages aren't coming now. Additionally, it is frustrating that they didn't send my order through UPS or FedEx but sent it through regular mail.
To make matters worse, Temu's website stated that if I did not get my package by the 23rd, then I would receive a $5 credit from them within 48 hours. However, reaching out to them for the compensation is extremely challenging. Moreover, a $5 credit is not substantial or of any actual help to me, as I am now left without the Christmas gifts I had ordered for my loved ones. I am on a fixed income, and the refund would have been extremely helpful in replacing the gifts that I am now short of.
Unfortunately, it seems like my gift order may have gone missing due to the lack of updates on the tracking information. This unfortunate circumstance could have been avoided if the company was more attentive and updated the tracking system regularly. As of now, I am unable to get a refund or report a loss, as I cannot confirm where my package is.

I ordered some holiday outfits 8.5 days ago and they still haven't even been shipped to me yet. According to the website, they were supposed to have been sent to USPS (the shipping company) within 2-5 days.
When I contacted their customer service through their chat feature, I was told that they would submit a ticket to look into the issue. But when I called in to follow up, they said that no ticket had been submitted after all. At this point, I was starting to get pretty worried that my package was lost or something.
When I asked the customer service representative on the phone to look into the issue, she said that she would have to submit another ticket to the department responsible for the shipping facility where my package was being held. I couldn't understand why this was necessary - why not just ship my package to me already? She couldn't give me any guarantee about when my package would actually be sent out.
To make matters worse, the shipping facility in question is located in a small town that has a USPS office right there. It's not like my package has to travel far to reach its destination. It just seems absurd that it's been sitting there for so many days without any action being taken.
When I objected to the delay and asked for some kind of explanation, the customer service rep just gave me the excuse that it's the holiday season and things are busy. But that doesn't really make sense - the package should have been on its way to me days ago, before things got really hectic.
Finally, when I expressed my frustration at the delayed shipment, they offered me a $5 store credit as compensation. But honestly, I have no desire to buy anything from them again after this experience. It's been a really disappointing and stressful process so far, and I'm not sure when (or if) I'll actually receive my package.
Temu Men's Fashion Mesh Breathable Sock Shoes: Surprising, Lightweight, but Lacks Ankle Support
I recently purchased the "Men's Fashion Mesh Breathable Lightweight Platform Lace Up Casual Sock Shoes" from Temu, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with my overall experience. Upon receiving the shoes, I noticed that they looked just as they did in the advertisement, which gave me a sense of relief. However, I soon discovered that they were not what I would consider to be sneakers - but rather "Sock Shoes." This means that they lack a "tongue" at the lace area and are instead designed to slip on and then lace up. As a result, they do not provide as much ankle support as I would like, and the fit is somewhat loose, particularly around the heel area where I can feel my foot slipping around. Nonetheless, the main area of the shoe is built like a sneaker, making them quite comfortable.
Since I typically wear a size 8 to 8.5, I decided to order the 8.5 to ensure I wouldn't suffocate my toes. However, in hindsight, I wonder if an 8 would have been a better option since the fit is quite loose. Despite this, by tightening the laces as much as I could, I was able to get a decently tight fit around the middle and front part of my foot, keeping them from slipping off. I was surprised by how lightweight the shoes were- a definite plus, and the quality of the knockoff was as expected. I wouldn't say they're top-tier quality, but they appear to be adequate for the price.
While they were not what I was expecting, I am still content with my purchase, and plan to wear them for various activities such as going to the gym as well as casual wear outside of it. Shipping from China to California took only eight days, which was a pleasant surprise, and the shoes arrived in a plastic bag with plastic supporters that prevented them from crushing during shipment. All in all, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase, and am already considering buying another pair of sneakers from Temu in the near future. At this time, I have no real complaints to report, only that they are not the type of shoe that I was originally hoping for.

Temu.com Review: Poor Customer Service and Website Glitches Disappoint Customers
I recently tried Temu (temu.com) based on positive reviews I read. Unfortunately, my experience with their customer service was less than satisfactory. I had an issue with a discount code not working correctly, and when I contacted them through their chat, the first agent wasn't able to resolve the issue, and it had to be escalated. I expressed my concern that some of the items in my cart were limited in stock, and I was told it could take 24-48 hours to be resolved. I was disappointed that something as simple as a website glitch couldn't be taken care of by the customer service agent.
After tracking down the company's telephone number, I called and spoke to a representative who couldn't help me and then a supervisor who was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I called again and spoke to someone who was polite and promised to expedite the issue and send me an email within hours. Unfortunately, nothing had been resolved by the next day, and items from my cart had either increased in price or sold out.
It's disappointing that this company is focused on advertising low prices without valuing their customers. People want good prices, but they also want to feel respected as a customer. They expect a company to empower their agents with the tools to resolve issues efficiently.
After all of the trouble, I decided to delete my account and take my business elsewhere. I want to warn others to check out the numerous complaints on the Complaintsboard.com website before spending their hard-earned money here. Additionally, even after deleting my account, I am still receiving spam emails from them, which is frustrating. I wish I never had to deal with this company.

Missing items from parcel
I have a missing set of ear muffin which are logged as out of stock. I have tried several times to get a refund and the staff are rude and repetitive.
I put a review on trust pilot and was told to give temu a 2nd chance, I did and again met with a wall. More false apologies and lies.
I asked for management and was told I cant have that, it should be policy to have escalation procedures which clearly UK law isn't followed with this service.

The problem is the same as a lot of orders at first they send your orders and take money however after they build your trust in them DEC. WE PLACE 3 ORDERS PAID BEFORE I received THEM NOW THEY SENT SOME BUT WERE'S THE OTHER 2? On 12/17/2023 my package from Temu was delivered to an abandoned apartment. A note was placed on the apartment unit boated up window asking any delivery driver not to place the package there. Temu refused to take responsibility for my stolen package and blames the carrier UniUni. A bad blame game is what I call it. A picture can tell the truth and they refuse to believe that putting a package where no one lives is a free give away almost anywhere. They make billions and don't care at all about the customer.

I contacted the courier as per Temu who confirmed I did not receive the order and for Temu to contact them to file a claim as per there contract and they should refund me. Ladies Pink Waterproof Coat.

I order $110 worth of products from temu. It says the package was delivered but it was not. I had multiple representatives hang up on me and refuse a refund or to reship the items. I have not received the parcel worth almost £67 and they are not making a refund
I order 3 product from temu worth £67.44 on 21st oct 2023. I got an email regarding parcel being delivered on 30th October. When I tried to contact them several time (atleast 7-8) on their customer support the asked me same details and didn’t solve the issue. One of their support staff said contact delivery partner which according to me is not something which is my job. Even though I tried to contact Ervi the delivery partner where I wasn’t able to contact anyone but in their FAQs they said to contact the seller. I took a screenshot of the same and sent that to temu on which they said they have delivered the parcel and cannot assit me any further on refund or re shipment which is quite rude.

On October 19 I requested a refund of $76.32 for 10 items that never came. (I called UPS and they said they never recieved the package from Temu.)
Temu agreed to the refund.
However, Cash App says that I recieved a "partial payment" of $16.22 with a balance of $60 still remaining.
It has been 10 days and after contacting your resolution center I am told the $16 is all I will be refunded.
Cash app tells me the $60 has not been sent.
So far I spent 76 dollars with you and recieved nothing but 16 dollars in return.
I tried your company and am shocked that you would blatantly steal my money. Please refund the 60 dollars in the same good faith and honest business practices that I sent it.

Whole package shows delivered but its no where to be found
Whole parcel shows delivered with a picture but its no where to be found. Either its Temu or Evri company sending through the parcels, taking pictures outside home and then steal it back. They wont knock the door or ring the bell. Leave packages outside out in the open. Then Temu doesn’t refund the money. Its a scam and fraud. They are ripping people off without resolving issues.
Not honouring the price if item

Placed order for “cat bed” which was in offer for £7.04, I placed it to my basket and went to checkout but the price in the basket was £15.48.
Contacted Temu on chat and the agent told me to carry on and place the order and they would refund the difference , he kept the chat open and asked me to come back and let him know I placed the order which I did. He then said he could not refund the difference, I told him I placed order as he told me to and he would refund difference and he replied he could not do it in that item. I have attached the transcript.Absolute scam! Suffice to say I have cancelled order and will not be using again. It’s the same thing it’s their @ fishland” game I have been waiting month an months to win the dedicated gift but it’s impossible to win, I keep placing orders every week but you can never win them. The company should be shut down.
