I feel the same way about the Walgreens that I used to work at. Not neccesarily bullying, but they would say hurtful things in the office when I was on the floor, and I could hear them behind the photo counter. I just quit my job today and my manager was so rude about it. I'm a very shy person, I can't confront people. So I called in saying that I quit because I had to focus on school [I stood back my senior year because of stress related to family matters and the other employees at work.] He was really rude, saying: "Why're you telling me this over the phone? You're not coming into work at all tonight?" No I have family obligations to take care of. "Yeah sure." he said, afterwards I told him I was coming in on Thursday to pick up the three checks that I have been waiting for. "Yeah, sure, whatever." He hung up on me. I'm eighteen years old. I've been working since I was sixteen, and the expierince working under him and the other managers wasn't all that pleasant. Now I just hope that my checks are in.

Did you know that promotions at the cpo are based on who you know not what you know. ou get no conseideraton unless you are in the loop. The people that they promote are just as useless as the people that they alredy have in these positions. Pharmacists are treates like 2nd class citizens, and so called "specialists" run wild laughing and talking not allowing pharmacists to have ample concentraton. It is not a good place for an educated white american, male or female.

Wow... for an "educated white American" you sure are a an elitist ignorant ###. Take it from someone who IS ALSO an educated white American, you're a dick. Do you work in AZ or FL? Did you ever work in the store? If you did, then you'd know what its like to REALLY work in a environment that's not conducive to concentration. Suck it up. What does your race have anything to do with it? Are you 100 years old? That sort of attitude is pretty old-school. Wake up and smell the 21st century, white people are the minority and we aren't any more important than any other ethnicity. In fact, I'd be willing to bet your ### stinks like everyone else and after you die the world will still turn without missing a beat.

...and you, above. I've been working for Walgreen's since I was 16. The manager was rude to you the day you quit, because instead of having any sense of ethic, you called in and quit without giving two week notice. I know "its just Walgreens" and I'm sure they made it without you, but it sucks when people leave you hanging and everyone else has to pick up the slack when its already crazy busy. Sorry your paranoia had you thinking that everyone was making fun of you, but they probably weren't. Most likely the reason you're so shy is because you lack confidence and you start out thinking people don't like you without any reason. I know how that is, but I got help and I'm over it. You're just making up excuses.

You're all a bunch of whining ### and chances are you have a hard time accepting responsibility for yourself in most if not all aspects of life and somehow you're partially responsible for the very things that you are complaining about. So do some self reflecting and get over it.

I was sexually harrassed by a manager and I reported it to HR. The only thing he did after that was tell me that he was joking and I took it all wrong.I'm sorry, but I don't take "I can teach you things in bed that guys your age can't" as a joke. That is highly unproffesional and he still works there. He admitted everything and he still works there, even after an alleged case of rape in our women's restroom. Interesting. Yes, my manager said I was irresponsible right in front of me to another employee. Another case of being unproffesional.

As an educated white male, I can confrim that they do promote people not based on what they should. My quailty of work at the CPO was not worthy of a promotion, yet they promoted me because I gave a good job interveiw. When I applied for the job that I currently have, I did not even know what the job was. My work does meet goal but I can honestly say that there are people below me that are better suited to perform the job that I am doing right now. I can honestly say that I would not recomend a job at the CPO and that I have wasted nearly a decade at walgreens. Walgreens itself though is a good company, I did work at the stores for a while and some people in the company care about the people who come to the store and the employes. I just do not believe that walgreens CPO is the best example of how goood a company like walgreens is. Please try to find a job at the store before going to CPO. CPO is a good place though to grow as an person though. You will not have another job that will test you like this job and it is the tests in life that makes us stronger. Good luck with your life!
