extended warranty
We purchased a extended warranty from walmart for my son's computer and they are not standing up to the warranty promise. We sent the computer in to be fix for a crack in the plastic around the screen and they say that it is not covered. The warranty says they cover damages from normal wear and tear and also defects in materials and workmanship. Seems to me this would fall in one of the catagories, but they say no. Then on top of that they were not going to send the computer back to us. Not to mention the warranty also says if they can not fix it they will replace it. They have had the computer for 3 weeks now. It is time they send it back.

rude/ disrespectful trearment
while checking out Cashier Gale @ reg 15. I was treated rudely by the cashier, while she was polite and curtious to the Black (African American ) customers before and after me . The cashier how is Black (African American) I am white . Why is it a few years back a white female cashier whom made a rude comment to a black person was publicly fired and dragged through the mud . But black/ african americans can treat rudely, belittle, make raciest comments aginst white people whom have never in this century or any other owned or oppressed Black/African Americans. My family migrated from Poland during WW1. Why should I be treated poorly, because of someone whom i have never met treated someone inhumanly. Blacks are allowed to have black schools/collages, scholarships, etc. whites ARE NOT allowed these things. Gale the walmart cashier treated me disrespectfully and rudely ... Nothing will be done and I will just be seen as a racist cause i complained about it. Well you and your store are the racist for treating me rudely cause i am white. I am not a racist for demanding to be treated with respect. NAACP isn't racist's for fighting for black civil right . I am NOT racist for fighting for mine. It's unfortunate that you feel like she disrespected you due to your race, but posting her name online where we will never hear her side of the story is uncalled for. Please edit her name out. If you really feel like she was prejudiced against you, and aren't simply exaggerating because she was AS friendly as you feel she should have been, take your complaint to 1-800-walmart.
Often times we as humans dwell entirely way to much on race issues. I do agree that whites are seen to be more racist when they do something degrading as oppose to blacks. However, this perception is just a result of America's history and generations of both whites and blacks perceiving each other in a negative light. i have had problems with black and white people in various stores but i associate their behavior as being rude and nasty not necessary racist. yes African-Americans do have colleges ( to which many do not use to their full advantage) but what does that have to do with anything? without those HBCU, higher education for many blacks would have never existed. It sounds to me as if you had a CUSTOMER SERVICE problem. That along would have pissed me off no matter what store, but I have found many walmart associates to have this problem. i agree with Brenda, you should have gone to management or contacted corporate. lack of employees to serve the customer
My husband and I shop several times a week at Walmart in Benton buying most all of our groceries there, but the service is going downhill due to lack of employees. I have had to look for help in the fabric department. Once someone from another department had to help me as there was no one working in fabrics. Today, I rang the bell and waited for quite sometime, rang it again and finally walked off leaving my fabric on the cutting table. I am a busy woman and do not have time to search for employees to help me because there is not enough employees scheduled to work. I do not want to drive to Little Rock for my fabric but that is what I will do from now on. Your service to the people is not very good at this point.

I had problems with pharmacy in Wal Mart in Benton AR. They did not send my insurance company the correct NDC number for a prescription renewal so ins. would not pay. They said the called the ins. company and could not get a explanation. I called ins. company and they told me about Wal Mart entering the wrong NDC number. I got a good explanation so not sure why Wal Mart said they did not. Also have had problems with them not charging seconday ins. for prescriptions. I mention it to them and they run it back thru. Makes me wonder what else they are doing wrong with our medicine.

They never can help you, I call for the baker deptment. I was on hold for about 20 minute, I have to order 50 cup cakes for a school party. Called back and the phone was never answered. There some people there that act like it hurt them to help you, they get smart with you, I went to get a phone card and the girl was setting on the floor mess with the movies, I ask her if I could pay my phone card she made a very ugly face at me like it was a big bother to her, what I think this is a very small town and every one know you, I believe it has a lot to do with this. I know a lots of people that will go to tayor tx. To get there shopping done. Please take some kind of acting, I spent about 1500. To 2000. Pr. I deployed to Afghanistan in march of 2010. Sometime before I left, my wife of almost 21 years started an affair with a manager at one of the Colorado Springs Walmarts. His name is Bill Hood and he lives in Colorado Springs. His wife had left him so he decides to convince my wife to shack up with him. So shortly after I deployed he uses his position and influence to get my wife hired at his store. She worked for about 3 months and quit. But I can't believe Walmart (which wants you to believe they are such a pillar of the community) would allow their employees to get away with this.
I'm not bitter, I think it's sad and funny in a way. Think about it. A manager at Walmart uses his position to get his girlfriend hired, but only because she is his girlfriend. But yet folks out there are still unemployed. Call me old fashioned but it comes down to values.
yeah, my wife is to blame too, but that doesn't excuse his conduct.

There's nothing unethical about her getting hired. She knew someone who could vouch for her being qualified. Yeah, he shouldn't have been boning an employee...but that's not Walmart's fault. That's squarely between your wife and the guy she's sleeping with.

Well I worked a Wal-mart for about a month.
I was always very respectable and also A good hard worker who took pride in what I did.
Well 1 night at our meeting I came in to talk to the manager.
I wont disclose names being I don't want to get sued when really I should be suing them.
Well I sit on the floor at the meeting as usual
and waited for the manager Who's name starts with a R. to yet finished and converse with me.
Well the manager told me to get off his floor and to go home. I asked if it were possible to come back and work a double since he wanted me to go home.
well I went home and came back to work like I do daily.
Another manager came up to me and asked why I was there. I replied to work of course.
Just then he told me that the manager from yesterday had fired me. When I asked why he did not say but later found out that The manager whose name begins with R. Lied and said I cussed him out.
Is this Illegal I believe so.

I requested walmart employee Andrea? in the Palestine, Texaswalmart store to order four Douglas low cost tires for my truck and her reply was to up-grade me to a higher Goodyear priced tire and add a bunch of serv ices I did not want, extended warranty, road hazard, etc.. The advertised price was $236, then it went up a week later. She told me after a converience with department manager, that there would be a shipment the next week, check back. I did this for three weeks, then finally requestecd to talk to manager. The assistant manager offered me a reduced price to accept the Goodyear tires and to have them installed that day, which I agreed to after being told by dsales staff it would be a two hour delay. Three hours later after whatching the staff goof off, drinking soda waters, and what ever, not actively working on anything or any vehicle, the female associate finally pulled my pick-up into the stall to remove the tires. She was incompetant to the point she could not remove the tires and requested me to provide the necessary sized sockets from my tools on the back of the pick-up to remove the tires, when a strandard four-way lug wrench was all that was necessary. She insisted that I needed to replace all the studs and lugs nuts on my vehicle. She was replace by another asscoiate and he finally mounted the new tires and balanced them. He did not mount them on the truck however, because, he was required to let his suporvisor Jeffery ? (last name unknown) to tighen the lug nuts to 100 pound per sqare inch of torque, however, this specification is well beyond my company Spirit Eagle Designs and manuafactor's specification for a 1989 model Ford Ranger of twenty-five pounds of tourqe and I insisted that that tolerance be upheld, and Jeffery in an arrigant hostal attitiude insisted that I did not know what I was talking about and he was going to break all twenty of my lug bolts off by torquing them to 100 pounds of torque costing me sevceral hundreds of dollars to repair the damage he was intentionally going tol cause. I refiused to allow that and told him to contact management and remove my vehicle from the work area, which he could not. I, then being a disabled heart patient, had to physically replace all the wheels and tires on my vehicle after paying for the service and be physically threaten by this employee in physical, violent disrespectful and threatening manner, as well as being in fear of my life because of my health condition and his physically aggressive manner . The manger of the store arrived later after I had reassembled my vehicle to keep from having to pay for the necessary repairs the con artist mechanics were trying to perform and I was in bad shape physically, later having to seek medical attention to get my nerves and heart stabilized with additional medical expenses . The bill $280 +was never cominstated for the labor that was supposed to be perfvormed by the incompetant staff, nor was any appoligies issued for the damage caused to my truck by the rounding off of the lug nuts by the female associate.

We tried to cash a payroll check on friday on Christmas eve and banks were already closed. Unfortunately, my id and debit card were missing and the only form of id I had was my Permanent Resident card. They said they couldn't accept it. Our country will allow me to enter this country but I cant cash my own check? And on top that, the employee rolled her eyes and was just awful. Are permanent resident cards really not acceptable forms of id? Any comments?

The employees lied to you. They accept permanent resident cards.
They are allowed to deny any type of ID. Check cashing is a service that Wal-Mart chooses to offer. It can be a very risky service. It is good for them to take these precautions.

I have been to Walmart in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada, A lot lately . and had to wait in line for ever to pay for my purchases. long lineups and no cashiers.. poor management... Cashiers standing around gabbing, with one another, is not right in my opinion should open up more cashes

Today I went to Walmart to pick up a pack of dvd-r. It was a Memorex 50pk 4.7 gig. Got home and tried burning a new dvd (just got a new laptop) but was quickly rejected with a message saying the file was too big for the dvd. I had no idea that an actual movie couldn't fit on a 4.7 gig dvd (in high quality.)
So I go back and ask the guy if I can still return my item seeing as how it was after midnight. He said yes and directed me to checkstand 18. I waited there for honestly about 10 mins. Doesn't seem like a lot of time except the man in front of me was buying 1 single phone card honest to god and the pez dispenser standing behind the till couldn't figure out scan card, swipe card, collect money. Time passes and I finally get my turn to get destroyed so I stepped up and the first thing the guy did was call for help from the electronics department. I wait about a minute or so and here comes the fat guy that directed me toward checkstand 18. Mike. He stepped behind the counter and said we cannot accept these because they are treated like computer software and once they are opened, they cannot be returned. I guess he just wanted to see me stand in line for 10 minutes knowing I wouldn't succeed.

lolol are you high 123321? I was trying to burn DVD quality which in a full length movie is AT LEAST 4gigs of space (depending on the length of the movie) and can be as high as 17gigs... I had to lower the quality to SVCD (the next best thing) which is 650Mb-700Mb (less than a gig) in order to fit it on the 4.7gig discs that I purchased...

Ive had multiple problems with my Walmart Pharmacy. They never have our prescriptions ready even when called in days in advance. We wait and wait or come back numerous times before our medicines are ready. Lately we've had trouble getting our insurance straightened out, only with walmart in (Stratford). I pick up prescriptions for my father who lives in Stratford and I refuse to use that Walmart because of their rude service. My father recently had an amputation and needed a presciption filled and they told the VNS nurse who did me the favor to get it because I live far I live in Naugatuck CT that he wasn't in the computer when in fact I know he is because I pick up scripts for him all the time at my friendly neighborhood Walmart in Naugatuck. They even went as far as telling her that he did not exist as ever getting anything from the Naugatuck Pharmacy which I know it's a lie becuase I go there at least 3 times a week to pick up for them. The nurse who was doing the favor for me finally called me on the other line and was telling me the situation. I then offered to fax the information over when I heard the pharmacy clerk tell the nurse that their fax was not working. How can the fax not be working and you are a pharmacy? She just was not helpfull at all and in the buisness their in they need to cater to people. She also stated that the drug she was their to get filled they were out of stock and he would not have it for 2 weeks. When I know they can get it sooner than that. They get shipments ever day and I know this for a fact because me and the walmart pharmacy in Naugatuck do it all the time when they don't have a specific drup in stock. I get it with in 24-48 hours. I think that the walmart executives need to get involved and hire a little more professionl people who know how to handle people. I then told the nurse to get the heck out of that place and I called the Walmart in Naugatuck who took care of me with kit gloves. All walmart hasd to do is call the Naugatuck Pharmacy for the information. The whole situation would have been taken care of but know it's too much to ask of them. They wont do it! They're too busy! I hate the walmart pharmacy in Stratford and I avoid it like the plague, because they have a bunch of un-educated pharmacy techs working there. I guess the area they are located in counts for their attitude. Sad to say.

My daughter was sent a $70 Wal-Mart money card from her grandma in N.C.
When she tried to use it the 1st time in the machine at our local Wal-Mart in port orchard Washington, it was denied, do to my daughter hit 1 number wrong in the pin #. So I called the phone number on the back of the card, and they said I would have to wait several days to use the card. We waited and tried again to no avail. I called money card services again and they said the card had a zero balance even though no cash was withdrawn off the card, they even acknowledged that the card had a beginning balance of $70, but they now wanted me to send them the receipt so they could investigate it. I found this to be ridiculous due to they acknowledged the card started with $70 on it, no withdrawals were done, but now it has a 0 balance. I faxed it to them, but the receipt was faded, I called back up and they said to wait and call back in 1 business day for it to go through their system. In which I did and these people from this 3rd world country would not listen to since about the receipt being too faded to fax, they just kept saying to resend it, even though I told them verbally everything on the receipt. They also told me to go to the store where it was purchased to get a more legible receipt. I told them it’s in another state. So I called the N.C. Wal-Mart to have them fax them the store ledger, but they never received that either. So I went to my local Wal-Mart and spent over an hour with the assistant manager re-faxing the receipt and her verbally telling all the info on the receipt to the 3rd world Wal-Mart money card service center. The 1st represenitive said talked to said it isn’t the right receipt for this card. I strongly disagreed so she called back up to find out who ever she talked to was mistaken of course. She Called up N.C. Wal-Mart to get the receipt sent again. All this for the 3rd world Wal-Mart money card service center to tell us to wait a couple more business days to research this issue. All the above took over 1 month. Let me repeat the absurdity of this whole ordeal: a card was purchase for $70, they acknowledge the card started with $70 on it, no withdrawals were deducted off the this card, but now it has a 0 balance, so why don’t they just see this and put the $70 back on the card that their faulty system corrupted. Or is this all a premeditated scam from the 3rd world Wal-Mart money card service center. Wal-Mart should pay American workers a couple more bucks an hour so we wouldn’t have these scams.

I happen to have the proper receipt with the activation code on it in which I read to the wal-mart money card service center several times with no positive result. As far as the activation, we had a employee at the Wal-Mart help us at the in store atm. And what if we did make a mistake using the card, hey lets punish me by taking all the money off the card and making it almost impossible to get it back except by using hours of my precious time
I'm still trying to get back $385.94 from them they replaced $600.00 of it but I'm still fighting with them to get the rest. Don't think I ever will us less I file suit. It's bad when a company like walmart thinks that they can screw the little people.
Thanks all for replying, but it was resolved back in February, it turns out that my daughter already spent the $70 and forgot all about spending the money, which later was revealed when we checked the balance on our computer. At first she thought someone stole her money but then they had her on camera spending the money on the card. Funny how when they owed us money(or when we thought they owed us the $70 they were slow in responding) but when they found out she spent the money and forgot about spending the money they were quick to reply and show us proof. What if her money really were stolen. Then what?
I have credit so its NOT just for people that have BAD CREDIT i didn't want to use my credit card and it's a good thing i didn't they would have stolen more then what they did! The packet the card comes in does not have that information on it. Why are you taking complaints about this card so personally if you are not affiliated with the Company Stealth Pilot? All you do is argue with people who post a complaint about these cards.
I completely agree with you Rus Sleeger. This card is a scam, it's for people who have bad credit and can't get a real credit card. My mother sent me one thinking that it was a gift card because that's what she told the Walmart employee she was looking for. When I opened it up and read all of the service fees associated with the card I couldn't understand why anyone would want one. You have to pay $3 to put money on the card, $3 a month as a service charge, $2 to withdraw from an ATM and that could even be higher if the ATM that you are withdrawing from has a separate fee attached to it. A complete waste of money. None of these fees are explained on the packet this card comes in so by the time you find out everything that this card entails you have already put money on it. I called up the Company to get a refund so I will see if I get the money back. If not I will let you know.

I have had a Walmart/Discover card for many years and have always paid off the balance in full each month. I have never paid interest charges on it or any credit card. I loved the card as I got 1% cash back, a discount on Walmart gasoline of 3 cents per gallon, free cash advances with any purchase, and the convenience of paying my bill in any Walmart Supercenter. I did notice that the card company would contact me every Christmas as I spend a lot of money on gifts and spend it in a very short time. I appreciate this and fully understand why it is done, to protect the card-holder in case of card loss or theft. This Christmas though, they broke my back! I had two main shopping days and spent about $3, 000. total on the two days. Each day I got an automated call from the card company, properly responded to the call, even called the card company, and all to no avail as my card was blocked on 3 separate transactions and on a fourth they refused to pay one of my credit card auto payees. I emailed Walmart and then discovered that although they put their name on the credit card, they have no control and immediately turn your emails over to GE Money Bank. Needless to say, I was pissed after the last card block (Occurred in my hometown Walmart Supercenter with a cashier present who could have verified my ID or whatever was needed) so I destroyed the card in front of the cashier and immediately cancelled the account. I lost a lot of respect for Walmart (I had always considered them to be the KING of customer service) and now have a deep hatred of GE Money Bank. This company needs to be stopped. Why Walmart has partnered with them I will never know!

Here is customer service for you, a wheelchair user was robbed of £50 of shopping while being forced to switch trolley due to it not being safe to use with a 10week old baby, yet despite the incident being caught on CCTV ASDA were not prepared to make even a good will gesture. It makes me sick that a company who prides themself on customer service and boasts £798m profit for 2009 can not see fit to reinburse the family instead the disabled woman was smirked at by the customer service manager much to the disgust of members of the public who looked on at the distess it had caused. Who is the disabled woman well it is me obviously, but this was meant to be an exercise at gaining confidence to going out and trying to lead as normal a life as possible.
I won't be shopping there again, no amount of money would put the damage done by this incident right in a whole host of levels, it goes beyond sick and as for the man and women who scuttled off with the goods what a charming example to set to your children robbing a disabled woman.

I hadn't left the store, the security gaurd phoned the Police who didn't pick up their phone for all I know he could have been phoing god knows who, but never the less the Customer service manages response was disgusting to look down her nose smirking at a disabled woman who had been robbed no matter what that is not on add to that I suffer from agrophobia and took a horrific panic attack, the damage done has set me back so badly, I had to be sedated to leave my home for what was meant to be a confidence building exercise

they didn't expend any time on labor... to see a crack in the case (it would have been described in the rma complaint). give them the money for shipping and get it back. THEN, if you want a warranty covering electrocution after you spill a glass of water into some electronics... TRIPLE check that it is covered before you pay for it
