I was buying groceries one of the items I was buying was cheese strings. I usually buy them eight for $3.47. But when I got to the register the cashier told me that there were 12 cheese strings on sale for $2.47 this week. I did not think anything of this and since there was no line up I thought well. I may as well get the 12 cheese strings. However it is obvious that she thinks that because I am African American that I cannot afford to pay the extra $1 for eight cheese strings. I buy them quite often and I certainly can afford to pay an extra dollar. I told her that just because I am African American does not mean that I am on EBT. That I can afford to pay for the cheese strings that cost more. She pretended that she was just trying to be helpful. But it is obvious that she thinks because I am African American that I cannot afford to pay an extra dollar for cheese strings. She is not the only racist person in the store. Another time I wanted some bottled water. The female employee first told me that they were near the checkouts. Then she said that it would probably be better off if I got it at Subway, since it is cheaper. Obviously she thinks that because I am African American that I cannot afford to pay more than a dollar for bottled water. It is not even much more. She again acted like she was trying to be helpful.
If you are going to hire Caucasians please do not hire racist ones. My mother was forced to sit at the back of the bus back in 64. I still cannot believe that racists exist. We are the ones that are accused of being on welfare and EBT. We are the ones accused of theft. But we all know that the child molesters are skinny white males. We all know that the school shooters are white males. We all know that it is white people that are truly evil and disgusting. That is why I don't have any white friends. The ones that are pretending to be friends with me are thinking that I am an African American that needs help. They don't want to be friends because of my character. IF they knew the real me these employees would know that I am able to afford to pay an extra $1 for string cheese. They would know that I am able to pay an extra 15 cents for bottle water. They would know that I have a job and am not on EBT. I am a well educated black woman. I should be treated with respect. I have a job and do not need help saving money. What is worst about this is the two employees that I encountered are too cowardly to admit that they are racist.
I believe they were trying to be helpful. I would appreciate being informed of not having to pay more, even when I can afford it.
They were trying to be helpful, just because I am African American and they think that I cannot afford to pay more. You Caucasians have no idea what it is like to be discriminated against. To you it may seem helpful but to us they think we cannot afford to pay the extra money. You must be part of the KKK or something
Why are you telling the customer she is wrong. I get it you must work for Walmart. Actually I am wrong. I am just pretending to be stupid like you by saying that because you sided with the company that you work for the company. Is it easy being stupid? Also why are you following Ashamed Rooster from post to post.
That's wasn't racist a slight be was it? KKK? Really?
You seem like the type of person who just waits for the opportunity to pull the race card.
My thoughts exactly
Zortsman,
It sounds to me that YOU my strong, intelligent, black & beautiful sista’ are the one who is racist. You are harboring resentments all the way back from your childhood against the whites. Also, you are wrong when you say, “You Caucasians have no idea what it’s like to be discriminated against.” I have been discriminated against more times than I can recall. News flash Zortsman, Caucasians are the minority’s nowadays. But the fact of the matter is this here, Zortsman. No matter how much discrimination I have to be put through, I still love being white. I I live in the Sf Bay Area and we are greatly outnumbered. Do I feel a 2nd Civil War approaching? Hmmm
It was hard to understand what you were complaining about, the fact that you are African- American or someone told you about a better deal on cheese strings. Why a worker at Walmart would tell you that a bottle of water was cheaper at another store, I don't know, since they get paid by Walmart. I was never told that a company had to hire me because I was Caucasians even though the other person was a different color and had more skill then I did. There is something in this country called reverse discrimination, I have seen it many times. I grew up with black friends and both our families were poor. We played sports together and fought together. As we got older we drifted apart, but if we ever saw each other, we stopped to talk and it was never about race. I am sorry about how you feel about Caucasians and wonder if an African American checker would have told you the same thing, would you be writing this complaint. You have hatred in your heart and I feel sorry for you and also see who the racist one is.
Well said
