district manager
The district manager Kimberly Russell has her niece Jaye McMillan working at store #18224 and favoritism is definitely being shown and as well as Kimberly bringing her boyfriend on the job with her and he is antagonizing the employees in the store. Her niece should not be allowed to work in any stores that she is over and this is definitely a problem
assistant manager
Hello I have had my concerns with your assistant manager Mariann at a Dollar General located at 1 Dominic Drive Ballston Spa NY 12020! My concerns are she is very inappropriate towards customers that are spending their money in this store, she is very inconsiderate when it comes to appeasing customer service, she is always out smoking instead of working...

I am a daily customer and I have saw the manager try to bully the new girl who comes to work, looks nicely dressed and clean, and is nice to the customers. She actually put the new young lady initials of her first name on all the totes and it was anywhere from 16-20 totes and this lady was the only person ringing up every customer as well as doing totes and etc. Anytime the young lay calls her name and she comes up to do something the new lady needs her to do she is grunting and not wanting to do it. I also saw that she goes directly into the office when the young lady is working her totes and ringing up customers. She is taking her position to a bully level.
That is the expectations of the company. Like it or not.
store manager and assistant manager
I am writing to inform the district manager of some Shaddy stuff going on at the Dollar General in Winter Haven FL Us hwy 17 Motor pool winter Haven FL! First the older lady, I believe she is the manager is so rude, to her customers and employees to the point that they (employees) complain about her, and how she can not run that store, to her not ever really working and just always looking for the "penny deals" Whatever that is. Seriously this is what is talked about while a lime of customer s wait to get taken care of. I have witnessed Mareen, Isis taking grey totes out to their car. Enough is enough with these 2! They both need to be investigated. They even talked about how someone's draw was short $100 instead of taking care of customers. Isis was the manager on duty that day, I have never witnessed anything like that. The store manager always talking to who ever will listen to her, and how she talks to the employees...! I was talking to my friend that goes there and she said she caught the manager and assistant manager taking grey totes to their car! It needs to be looked into!
the store in general
Yes i love in Aubrey so I go in to dg a lot it's so hard to walk down any part of that place there is one employee I see everyday Desiree & Lou I think their names are they are the only one working I see the manager and ast management sitting and chatting a lot when I come in also with another woman that works there as well but most of all my complaints are about how messy the store is it's horrible
You CANT WALK DOWN ANY ROW NOT HANDY CAP accessible
the store has gone downhill since the new manager took over.
The store has gone downhill since the new manager took over. My local store is cressona, pa in the cressona shopping mall. Ever since the new manager took over the store has been a mess from Uboats being everywhere to just not having things stocked or visible. I've been going to this dollar general for 4 years now and don't want to even go in anymore. Everyone's constantly standing around (including the manager).
The same is happening to me right now I don’t know what to do !
employees
Im visiting in Hildebrand North Carolina my name is Jennefer Davis im currently writing this because I myself and my grandmother where in the store on November 21 2018 around 2:30 or 3 o'clock p.m. and where getting our last few items for thanksgiving dinner and we needed a oven bag for our turkey we looked for awhile and could not find it and was going to ask the cashier Jules, however she was very busy with checking everyone out before us so we decided to wait in line when we approched the counter she was very professional and well mannered she asked how we where and even doubled bagged our heaviest items for us i proceeded to ask if they had any oven bags for turkeys and she replied they where currently out at the moment which was very understandable, however when i asked her was she the only employee in the store working today she replied no that her crew was throughout the store somewhere that she could get someone for us to help us if we wanted she had already answered our question so we told her it was fine that she didnt have to reach out to the other employees. After we paid and the very bright young lady said goodbye to us and welcomed us back to the store we where over ecstatic and very satisfied with shopping there. Then we got ready to leave in our vehicle and seen 5 of the employees that Jules said was in the store out back smoking and goofing off while she handled a line full of customers all on her own in a fast paced and very polite manner and never got overwhelmed or rude. Im not sure if Jules is a leader or any kind of management but however someone needs to look into what i seen yesterday and give this young lady recognition for the very hard work she is doing for this dollar general because the other employees in there didnt care to come help they where outside smoking and playing games between themselves and one boy had a nasty orange sweat shirt on that didnt look appropriate and had shorts on as well. Jules made our shopping experience wonderful but after everything i dont think we will be going back there anymore.
discrimination of employees
I worked for the Dollar general store number 15683. And the store manager constantly made discrimatory remarks about the job I worked before I came there. I am a cna and she constantly called CNAs butt wipers even after finding out that I am a cna. To me it was a very hostile work environment with her around, she would put some customers down if they came in wearing scrubs she would tell me they were butt wipers and laugh and say it was a disgusting job to have. Something should be done because to me she kind of acted like a bully that's why I left and went back to cna work because I could not tolerate the bullying and her belittling me.
wait in line to much
Shopping Tuesday Nov 20 at Lakeview Sebring Fl. Wait More Than 5 min looking assistance and know one can. I walk at the back of the store looking for help and the assistance manager and store manager suddenly came looking very entertaining which each other. I don't want to assume but was a silence until I came closer and say hello. Need to pay more attention. De Jesus and Frances . the name of the Dg Assistance
Waiting has never killed anybody. You're right about one thing, you shouldn't ASSuME.
manager sexual behavior at work
Saturday night 11-17-2018 6:00 pm while I was shopping at the Dollar General Store #02654 the manager was with a man kissing and rubbing him. There were at least 15 customers waiting at the registers to check out. Several people remarked that the assistant Felucia Stanley was known to act this way and did so frequently. This is a small community and everyone knows everyone but having to wait while she conducts an affair with someone else's man in a place of business is carrying it too far. Most of the people in line had seen this before and are tired of her sexual escapades. She has been seen laying across the counter kissing while running the register! This is so unprofessional at work.
noise complaint
I live behind the Rosamond, CA Dollar General. The alarm has gone off at least 7 times in the middle of the night and in the early morning and each time it goes off for 30 minutes. When I call to ask why it is going off I'm told that either someone is trying to break in, or the balloons inside have set the alarm off (I've been given this reason for 3 of the 7 times). The last time I was given the reason about the balloons I asked that they move them as I work and my children go to school and we need our sleep. This is beyond ridiculous and completely under their control. As for the intensity of the alarm. I would think there is something that could be done to lower the volume or to use flashing lights to scare off would be criminals.
availability of sale items.
This complaint is about the Sharon, SC Dollar General Store. The ad in yesterday's paper had Peak antifreeze buy one get one free. We went right up there when we got the ad. They had none in the shelf and nobody that worked there knew anything about it. I also looked at the store in Clover, SC and one in Statesville where I traveled to today. They also had none on shelf and the people I asked knew nothing about it. I love Dollar General and I think that it the best thing that came to my small town but this has happened too many times. Every time I look for something that is on sale, none is to be found. The shelves are empty a lot. I call that false advertising.
Its not false advertising. Its called not getting there sooner. JS
management
I think the store # 06207 in Tifton GA u can't never get to anything in this store cause everything is always in the way roll carts full of boxes boxes all over the floor dog food all over the floor making you trip up the manager I believe her name is Becky and she's always walking away from you and on the phone and there's water on the floor after time I guess it is the floors are nasty and when you go to the checkout you have to wait 20 minutes just to get anybody up there to even check you out and if you need help finding something in the store good luck I didn't buy nothing this today cuz I went to Family Dollar cuz I was pissed off and got much better service believe you have might want to get that manager out of that store for y'all lose a lot of business thank you and have a good day
Why is it that every time somebody says they have a bad experience at one of these stores, they want the manager fired? How would you feel if you worked there and Becky had the same complaint on you and wanted you fired?
treatment of employees
Dollar General is a horrible place to work. This company uses people. We are overworked and underpaid. There are many that cannot speak up b/c they have to work. For instance, this last year the first time, I worked 57 days without a day off. The 2nd time 35 days. I was involved in an accident on the clock, my DM was only concerned of when I was coming back in. Instead of sending me home or to er, this accident cost me 15 grand. I've lost my children full time because of my schedule. I've been told by my DM, I AM UNSTABLE. What right does anyone have to speak to me that way? I've been promised manager, I've been promised raises, none has come to pass. Our stores are critically staffed at all times. When DG brings in new managers, this company STAGES ways to get rid of people, even if they are good workers. This company is an absolute disgrace. I was terminated, without due process and accused of theft. My DM has instead of maintaining privacy, spread rumors amongst other stores and managers. Dollar General has no right. It's defamation of character. I intend to keep speaking out!
I can relate with you. Dollar general has become a very distasteful company in recent years. They don't give a damn about their employees. They are considered thieves by upper management. They don't care about their private lives either. As long as it benefits them, that's all that matters to them. I have a friend who got fired because a customer called corporate and told a bunch of lies and they believed the customer and my friend tried to tell them it was lies and they basically told him he was lying and fired him for no reason. [censored] company if you ask me.
the store appearance and customer service
We just recently moved to the area and have visited the Dollar General located at 5240 SC -9, Green Sea, SC 29545. The first time no one spoke as we entered or as we walked around. The floors were nasty, merchandise every where in the floor. Ttoday we went to pick up a few things and again no one spoke, there was 2 ladies working neith acknowledge we were in the store. This time the store looked worse then the first time. Sime aisle we couldn't even go down because there was big metal carts down them. Lots of stuff thrown in the floor, as you walked around there was numerous empty packages where people had taken the product and left the empty packages. The store smelled bad, the outside banner was hanging off the front of the building, there was trash in front of the store and in the parking lot. I have never been in a DG that looked like this one. The next closes place to us would be a Family Dollar in town, I guess we will have to drive there from now on!
conditions of the store
I am writing to discuss my displeasure of the conditions of the Dollar General Store located at 138 W. Chelten Ave . The condition of the store is deplorable. The store is always dirty and unkept, the floors are not clean, there are boxes always in the aisles, the shelves are not stocked and the staff is not professional. I frequent this store because it is in close proximity to my home and the price of items are reasonable but I have decided that I would rather pay more money then to subject myself to these conditions and treatment. I decided to try another Dollar General that is located at 600 W. Chelten Ave and the experience was the same. I started to wonder that maybe the corporate office did not care about the conditions of these two stores because they are located in predominantly African American neighborhoods. I have gone to Dollar General stores in other neighborhoods and states and the experience has been totally different and pleasant. The lack of professionalism in the store is enough to stop anyone from patronizing your establishment.
employees closing store earlier than posted time
This complaint is in regards to the Dollar General Store located at 63 Prairie Drive, East Prairie, MO.
For the past month the employees have been locking the door before the scheduled and posted closing times. When something was said to the employees they said that there manager, told them to do it.
This is a huge inconvenience for myself as well as others due to the fact that this DG store is the only retail store open in town now until 10 p.m. Something needs to be done about this where they stay open the posted hours or get a manager in this store who cares about it's customers.
When they close the store and set the security alarm the time is recorded so home office knows they are doing this. If it has been going on for a month there must be an approved reason, or the store would be in trouble for the early closes.
Maybe they have issues that's beyond their control and the manager or district manager approved the early closing.
Quit whining if they are closing early there is a reason
Hi Tasha, we apologize for any inconvenience that was caused. We will address the matter with the manager to keep the store open until posted closing time.
You may be a corporate representative and I respect what you do but it seems to me that you need to know what is going on in these stores before you try to help the customers. Just my .02¢
The General Dollar Store Located @ 1051 Blue Hills Ave Bloomfield Ct On October 30th I made of purchase the total price was $ 10.48 cents I gave the associate $9 cash and to add the balance of $1 and 48 cents instead he put the entire amount on my card being the end of the month Every dime count living of S.S. which could lead to a overdraft I spoke with someone from the Corporate office on the 31st did not hear from Jason R until I made another call on November 7th still no call until November 12th Jason stating I may have dropped my money he reviewed the camera he only obesered the card transaction not the cash exchange I'm 69 yrs old have never had any issues when it was a Family Dollar store The Store Has A Thief he took my money how many other people it's called "Cuffing" I'm done shopping where I have to worry thiefs very poor management a DO calls the consumer a LIAR Sad Disgraceful
digital coupons
I have had so much trouble with the digital coupons not being taken off my purchases, this is so inconvenient and incorrect. I have loaded so many coupons and even showed them to the cashier and each time I am told there is nothing they can do about it of they dont come off the order they can not take them off my purchase. Well I can tell you this- I am now...

11-11-2018, Every time I go in dollar general in Maringouin La on 77280 Landry Drive its hard to get to what you need because it has stuff in the way, The store looks so horrible!stuff everywhere it needs to be remodeled to start over again, I put in a application more than once, they just never hired me, I know I could make that store look a whole lot better, they always changing employees as well as managers, they are not organized at all, I had a very hard time looking for what I need to because stuff is everywhere, they need to close that store down & start from stratch, but I'm order for it to work right it's gonna take the right people like me that is dedicated, devoted & determined to be the best!
The reason these stores look this way is because the are understaffed and underpaid.. good employees who care wont stay long because they don't get the hours or pay they deserve. Dg expects a lot of work for very little compensation. So employees give up. But by all means if you think your superwoman keep applying.
dirty store/employees parking in what should be customer parking
This store located in Mason, Mi. located on Cedar St. is quite junky looking and I believe they never sweep the floors. There are dirt and papers all over on the floor and most likely never gets mopped. It always has a mess in the isles with garments and products laying in the isles. Empty boxes laying all over. Now I can walk into Family Dollar and right away see a big difference. The floors are clean and it is more inviting looking when you walk in. Also at the Mason, Mi Cedar street store, there are two employee's who are young and could be parking so that customers like me who are old could park a little closer to the store. No! They have to park in the two parking places next to handicap. She drives a beat up rusty old wrecked truck held together with bungycords and is more than able to walk than I. He drives a green blazer. He is also fit. Their cars set there all day taking up what should be customer parking. I do not feel this is right. They should be out where I have to park as a result of their parking in what should be customer parking. I do not feel like giving my business to them even though it is closer to me than Family Dollar. I do hope something is done about this as I have heard lots of complaints about these same issues. Thank you!
What good does it do to complain here if nothing is done about the problem? Which is what I am seeing! The people running them have to report to someone so why aren't the issues addressed? Magic bean comes on and tells the customer they are the lazy one? Give me a break! If the handicap parking is taken and the next old person pulls up and has to walk with a cane, but has to park out because employees chose to park in closest spots, who is lazy and why is nothing done about that? And the store is still dirty? Lazy employees!
Hi sweet cheeks, thank you for taking the time to submit your complaint. Customers should have the parking spots closest to the store. We will address this with the manager.
I understand I agree with you, they are just being lazy and not moving their cars when the are suppose to. I would do the survey on your receipt it is store specific and in the comments explain. That will get right to their dm. The dm should take care of it for you.
Maybe if you want to complain to a store SEND IT THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE! Sending it to a random public forum isn't the way now is it? One would think the smart thing to do would be contact the store directly.
I do know that employees park close to the store in the mornings to open it. It's a safety precaution but once the store is opened and ready for business the employees are suppose to move their cars to the furthest spots from the store. They are also suppose to move close to the store after dark at night again for safety because they are alone in the store once it is closed.
I can understand that but they do not move their cars. This lot is well lite and is small to start with. My point is if handicap is full and if a person is old but does not have handicap, a closer spot should be available.
A little walking is good for the health.
Walking isn’t the point! Lazy employees is the point!
