i bought an heater from the highland California family dollar because it was close to where we were that day and it was already open but i didn't give it a second thought because some times they get open in transit or at the store so i brought it home to my family and the whole unit of the heater gets hot to the touch and i have a 2 year old son and i was afraid he would get hurt so i took the heater back to the family dollar i brought it from and the supervisor told me that they dont do returns or exchanges on open heaters and i explained why i needed to return it and the supervisor was very rude and said she didnt care they dont returns for open i left that store very upset because being a "FAMILY" dollar it seemed like the employees didnt care so i went home thinking that i was stuck with a heater but my mother reminded me that there was an family dollar walking distances from them and they are usually pretty nice their so we took a walk there and when i got there i explained and the supervisor said that she wish she could help but since they were newly on the floor i had to wait for the store manager and i said thank you i will be back the following day for the store manager so i went back to that family dollar the next day because the supervisor told me that he was going to be there at 9 am but when got there they said that the supervisor lied because the store manager wasnt going to be there until the next day so this time instead of having to take my son walking back and forth again i called to talk to the store manager, the assistant manager left me on the phone to go get the store manager but 5 mins later the assistant manager came back on the phone telling me that she talked to the store manager and told him the whole situation and he said that he wont do the return nor the exchange because he would get an lost in the product so now i am stuck with a heater that it took dangerous for my son to use it in the house and now my whole mommy and me friends decided that even though your company is named "FAMILY" dollar you are not so family oriented and that we will explained to other friends and family why we wont shop at your company again I would like this resolved but I do love the prices you have for the stuff I need but I need to protect my family and friends thank you for letting me explain my complaint and to vent and if you please contact me if you can still help

It wouldn't except the coupons on your app. It over charged me $6.00 for one bic razors. They were suppose to be $4.00 off. I got charged full price on one and only $3.00 on the other. Glad to read your comment, I was going to complain about the need for an app to save money, some of us can not afford a smart phone, so we can's use the app. Why not have a card like CVS or walgreens, so All people can get savings, not just people who can afford a fancy phone!

November 2, 2019 I went into the store to buy one item that was less than a dollar. I had a $20 bill. The cashier asked if I had something else. I told her no. She looked at me like she didn't want to wait on me because I had $20. I don't know why. I have spent money in their store for years. I attempted to purchase a blow dryer at the store that was wrongly labeled on the shelf and on my bill I attempted to bring it up to two staff members one being the manager she failed to take any responsibility for the store and continuously blamed corporate. I explained that she was the face of corporate and should not being blaming her corporate office. If I could walk to their corporate office I would but unfortunately I could not. She continued to say it was not her fault. I asked for her name and was provided two different names. The second time I asked she was even hesitant to provide her name. Why hire someone within a manager role who fails to take action and only blame corporate. Why accept the pay and not accept the responsibility. The customer service was not friendly but abusive and a total lack of understanding. So I took the advice of the manger and contacted corporate with my concerns. Thank you Jenny
