I live in the Mishawaka, IN area, the store you have on 4th street is getting out of control . The manager is not costomer concious. Always have to ring a bell for service, smoking next to the door and the inability to shut up and take care of the growing line of customers. Shelves under stocked or lack thereof. The store is dirty and very cluttered. Customer service is not a priority.

The store manager Antionette at the Banning family dollar location was very rude (1481 W Ramsey St
Banning, CA 92220 United States). She didn't acknowledge any customers in the store and when she was ringing up customers was sighing and rolling her eyes. I placed my money on the counter as I do at all stores and she threw my change back. The customer behind me said oh I guess you didn't want to come to work today. Her response was not when I have rude customers. I said ma'am how am I being rude. She said money goes in my hand not the counter so if you want to be rude I'll be rude. The customer behind me said I don't feel like she did anything wrong and she said well I do so I treat people how I want. I told her I would be reported the situation and she said go ahead.
employees and how I was humiliated
I have tried 4 different telephone numbers for approx 3 hrs now. Yesterday I was treated so awful an humiliated at the borden, indiana family dollar store. I was there for only 2 items, but any way I stood up at register for a good limit of time one big dirty lady out front smoking and the other was out front also but on the phone. A young man was inside but stocking shelves an helping other customers. So I asked the ladies out front to run my stuff through register. Oh no im finishing my cigarette first of all, an the other acted as if she didn't even here me so I said it again I need help... We ended up having words, I was very angry an upset. I will never go in that store an i'm from here in borden an i'm going to do all I can to have something done to that store, the people working there don't want to be working there everyone can tell. It awful the way the way the v store v is v ran! I know so many people who say they are done with that store because of the employees...
unorganized and many failures
I am speaking on behalf of my husband who currently is an assistant manager for almost a year now. I don't understand how, as a company failed to keep your customers and employees updated without saying a word, leaving everyone hanging for 3 weeks after your store gets shut down due to pests, insects, etc. Not only the store has those problems, but other issues of the A/C unit not working, hiring lazy people to fix it when it hasn't been fixed yet properly, having theft problems, your freezers broke and you expect the managers to do all the work? they are there to do their jobs, not fixing your store because the company fails and doesn't want to. My husband and employees are very dedicated and hard workers who deserve better! I am disgusted on how you treat your employees! It's no wonder Family Dollar stores are shutting down.

I shopped at Family Dollar, Store #11837, 11815 E. 8 Mile Rd, Warren, MI at 3:28 PM, 06/26/2019. Here are my issues:
1. Was it ok to sit my groceries on the counter close to the door where my things interfered with the other employee doing her job, and where someone can maybe take what little I had?
2. Yes I completely read the Cash Back screen but I wanted to do another amount. I pressed $0.00. I asked the cashier could I go back and change. She replied after I saw her out of the corner of my eye, roll her eyes, "Hit cancel." I asked, "The red button." I think she mumbled "Yes." Of course what happens...it went through as a charge. Her response, "Oh, guess not. It went through." I just said "Thank you, " and left. So you are smarter then me on your employers card machine, but I didn't get cash back? Oh, and I forgot to mention she was smiling, and polite to the Caucasian man/employee/Vendor, that was stocking right next to me, as I left the store. Guess he had not been there in awhile and she wanted to catch up. Guess I was the wrong color.
3. I noticed as two Caucasian men (I'm going to guess District Managers), left the store, she was polite and smiled to them as one replied "Teamwork makes the dream work!" Then she graciously turned to me, stopped smiling and gave me "resting [censored] face." I guess I wasn't the right color...again. Which happens to be the same as hers. A strong, beautiful, African American woman.
Unfortunately I don't have a car, so I will have to patronize your location again. I am just thankful I don't have to spend all of my hard earned dollars there. You see I too work Customer Service. So all her faces and moments, I have been reprimanded for in the past. I guess this is my pay back.

I hope this should be treated as a matter of urgency as this attitude might goes beyond what we might imagine.

management problem
I worked at the family dollar in holly lake ranch, tx near hawkins, tx and I understand an employee should always give 2 weeks notice when leaving a job. Due to the circumstances I did not do so. The head manager misty, would stay In the bathroom for longer than 30 minutes at a time multiple times on her shift, at least the ones I worked with her. Later I had found out that she was using hard illegal drugs specifically dope, while in the bathroom and I personally have zero tolerance for it due to my childhood. Because I quit, she marked me non-rehirable. Im not trying to gain employment again I just want to see if anything can be done about drug use on the job. No drug testing was even done when I got hired even though it says in the new hire info that its a requirement. If you have any questions or anything please do not hesitate to contact me.

I was in the store in wadley ga at 60 butts St wadley ga 30477 and the cashier named Jaleesa cursed me out all because I asked why they want open up another register because the store was getting full and she cursed me out so bad I felt so bad and literally cried something needs to be done about this because if you don't know how to talk to people's then I believe you shouldn't work anywhere that's dealing with being in customer service where you will have to deal with other people. I was looking for a specific jar that I have recently brought from one location which I had brought the remaining jars so I traveled to the next location to see if they had any and they did not have that particular jar which are called Mason jars.. I was told they got those particular jars due to spring or summer on occasion and that they we're on clearance because of that.. while checking this particular location as I seen some different jars in which I was interested in purchasing but the price was far more than I budgeted for I told the cashier I didn't want the jars so he took the jars and as I started to leave the alarm went off in which the cashier said to me I need to come back in the store I could not leave and I said why he said cause of the alarm..I said the alarm going off has nothing to do with me so as I proceeded to walk out the door the cashier had ran to make his way to the door in which I was standing to stop me from leaving saying he's going to call the cops and I said go ahead y'all have cameras to see I didn't take anything thing out the store in which he repeated to me I need to get back in the store I couldn't leave so at that point the store manager had come also to the front of the store as I am emptying out my purse to show proof that I did not steal anything out of the store as I also showed that I had lots of cash on me. The store manager apologized and said it's okay as I grabbed my phone to record the cashier that accused me of this act of stealing and than said to me how location is a location that is known for people stealing which has a high theft rate and again I said what does that have to do with me.. I was so embarrassed OMG even the customers could not believe the way I was treated..the cashier really embarrassed me and I am really not okay with going into a family dollars location without someone else with me . I am very embarrassed about the situation and hurt that he could accuse me of something he did not see me do or in the act of doing..

I have recently been into your store in Sturgis Michigan, store number 3056. And I have witnessed the following: Whenever one of the cashiers punches in the manager quickly count's their register and runs off of the cashiers register and I have heard the cashier ask why are they doing that and the manager says that they are allowed to do whatever she wants to and they also close the store 10 minutes early and whenever a customer goes in the managers gets rude with them. Their is also trash in front of the back door, the young manager spends her entire shift in the break room. And the old manager puts everyone down and spends a lot of time outside smoking and the third manager spends a lot of time checking her cell phone
accused of stealing and personal property searched
I was at the store in snow hill, nc and it was the worst visit I have ever had and I will not go back and I will make sure I tell all my friends and family so they will never to go there too. The [censored] manager Mary, accused me of stealing in front of the other customers... when i didn't.. all I was doing was shopping around inside with some friends and stuff for me but after that I will never go there again.. and I did not appreciate being disrespected and she didn't say sorry after she found out I didn't steal anything. I bought a $5 power bank from the family Dollar in Marion, Ohio yesterday June 13th, 2019. I had to go to a funeral and forgot my charger at home 2 hours away. I used the cord for my car charger and it worked. Got home after a long hard day and tried to use the power bank and it didn't work. Thought maybe it just needed to charge but when I plugged it into my charger I realized it had a spot that's supposed to light up when it's in use but the light wasn't turning on. Needless to say it never worked so I tried to return it today in my hometown and they don't sell them so they wouldn't return it cus there is a no return policy on electronics. Since when can I not get my money back or a different item even, if my merchandise never worked? How am I supposed to test a product before buying it? What if it was a sound bar or any other more expensive electronic item that can't be tested before it's bought? I will never buy electronics at family Dollar again cus they pretty much just screwed me out of 5 dollars. All I wanted was a replacement and all the stores anywhere near me are so understaffed that they have numerous empty shelves and multiple carts filled with boxes of merchandise that will sit in the aisles for days before being put away. Something needs to change cus this is not customer service that's for sure.
For your information the store has been understaffed for months and I will never buy electronics or anything else from there from now on... Thanks for the comment and thanks for making it that much easier to not shop there ever again. Just lost business and the thousands of dollars a year I spend there.

TO WHO IT MAY CONCERN:
I am very unhappy by the way I and others were treat at Family Dollar, my family and I have been shopping at Family Dollar Stores for a number of years, I'm not sure if the associate (Pam) was having a bad day or what but I do know that yesterday she was VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL to customers at the store, I witnessed 5 individuals walking out without buying items, some left the items on the counter and some had items in their cart and just left them there and walked out! Ms pam was at the register and walked away to the back of the store chatting with another associate, we stood in line for more than 10 minutes while she remained in the back socializing, I spoke up and said, Hello can we get some service and she just started going off the deep in! In short, not sure what her issues are but if she's not disciplined, I WILL BE sharing my horrible experience with others on SOCIAL MEDIA!
From a business perspective, I don't think you all want that coverage, For the record,

the manual labor that's going on in store 5633
I recently visit the store 5633, and I over heard the associates talking about how they don't have enough employee working here, because the District Manager refuse to hire more people. I also over heard that his name is Zafar, and that he's don't allow the associates to have any time off, anytime they request any time off it gets denied because they don't have no other workers, they're working with only 4 associates and you have managers that's working doubles on an everyday base, and they get no lunch breaks not even a 15 minute break. They working over 6 hours and can't have no breaks. That is illegal to have any associate working without having a days off or taking any breaks. This is very wrong on so many levels. Something needs to be done ASAP. Manual labor is illegal in any state.

I was at the store on Utica and main in Buffalo, Ny at 830pm. The staff member from family dollar Ezelsqo Was very Rude and nasty to my son and forced him to take all of his money out of his pockets. My son was harassed an he goes there all the time earlier in the day time with me. I decide not to go in the store today because i was not feeling well but I handed my child some money to get snacks for school. An my poor child was racially profiled. I hope he does not need counseling for this. I came in the store to find out what the problem was because my child came to my car frantic. The store associate would not tell me what was going and what was the reason for his actions. My child is only 12 years old he does not deserve to be treated this way I want him fired. An also he was walking up to me as if he was going to attack me.

If you make my child take all his money out his pockets and scare him then yes I am going to say something and ask why that happened. You shouldn’t have to go through that when your go to your local store that your a regular at.
