Family Dollar Rude employees

I was treated rudely and given dirty looks my mother also.I was trying to buy marked down Halloween decorations bit they was inaccessible locked in the backroom and was asked to come back tomorrow. I have never been greeted that way in my life the woman had attitudes with my mother and I. for no reason I was trying to be a paying customer and got ran off with unfriendly employees. we both spend alot of money at several family dollars. we will not return to the family dollar in Frankfort ohio ever again. I didn't even know the woman. the way my mother and I was treated was uncalled for and undeserved. I am always polite to everyone these woman don't need to be working around people obviously it's the wrong choice of career if they can't treat paying customers with kindness and respect

Family Dollar Harassment by fellow customer which employees did nothing about

I was in Family Dollar at 499 N. Marion Street in Lake City, Florida on October 9, 2018 and was being harassed by a fellow customer and employees stood by and did nothing. This customer, who was black, was behind me and started ranting about she hated god d*mn mf'ing white people and wishes she could kill every f'ing one. Being white I obviously was concerned about my safety and thought the employees would step up but the one seemed to actually being defending her. Mind you this customer had and I had zero interaction between us before she started her racist rant. I never said a word to her as she obviously has mental issues and even eye contact would have escalated the situation. She finally left the store and I finished my sale and as I left the store she was outside and started cussing and threatening me again.
I have been a steady and loyal customer of this location since they have opened. They had great service then but it had definitely gone downhill in recent months. After telling my friend about my terrible and honestly frightening experience he told me that he was in the store and a brawl between 5 people broke out.
Obviously I will not be back in this store and that's a shame because I did at one point enjoy shopping there.

Family Dollar Cigarettes

So for 3 months now we have been having problems buying cigarettes at the family dollar on high street in Waynesburg. the manager and other employees won't sell to me if I have anyone without id with me even if they are not wanting cigs My disabled 68 year old mother walked 2 blocks with her cane today and tried to buy cigs they asked for her id and when she provided her valid license the manager denied her cigs saying that she wouldn't sell to her because she would just give them to me. I wasn't even at the store at the time but we have several videos of this manager and other employees giving us trouble one of which has the manager talking about me directly when I'm not even there I will be sueing family dollar for slander discrimination and the manager for harassment my mother will also be posting..videos will be going up on YouTube and on facebook by Monday this is getting ridiculous I am 42 with a valid ID and she knows that there is no reason I should have never even been included in this..not to long ago my fiance went up to get cigs he does not currently have an ID and he was attacked and robbed about a month ago the manager knows this and has sold to him before this time she wouldn't sell to him and told him that if I came up to get cigs she was gonna card everyone with me even if they werent getting cigs outraged I walked up with him with my ID just to make a point stating that they couldn't Id people with me unless they were asking about cigs they sold me my cigs and I left we videoed this interaction and today when my mother went up the manager kept saying that I ruined it for everyone that I was threatening to turn her in to corporate so she was gonna Id everyone in my family not even 5 minutes before this my brother in law whom the manager does not know went in to buy cigs and wasn't carded or even asked his birthdate but yet again the manager was running her mouth again on me...again this is all on video and more and will be going up on YouTube and facebook..

Like I said, everyone can check your profile. Nothing but drama and delusions. You accused the originally poster of being a child and then went on with your made up stories of raping children. I will make sure this is investigated thoroughly in order to protect any minor around you. The very first thing you did was attack someone on here when you thought they were a child. Sounds to me like there's a troll replying. You really need to educate yourself on the laws and policies before you start unnecessary drama on a post that has absolutely nothing to do with you. You also may want to take a minute out and read the definition of slander and discrimination. There are many videos showing that manager verbally attacking several people, including arguing with a person that can't walk and has to use a motorized chair. People like you, obviously don't believe that everyone have the same rights in this world. Kinda pathetic you would make such a rude and uneducated comment without any facts at all. Might I suggest you troll another site and actually allow these people to warn others so that they never have to watch an elderly family member be degrated? Or is that just simply too much to ask from someone that has absolutely no knowledge of this situation? I pray when your day comes that you are not such a judgmental person and that there is mercy shown upon you for your actions. I'm sure I speak for many people when I say that your comments are not needed and it makes you seem like an a child that is begging for attention.

Than you for replying back to me. I was so angry at them for ow they treated me that i took my anger out on my disabled mother. They made me so angry that I hit my disabled mother. now she wants me charged with assalt because of them. they are the ones that made me so angry that i hit her. but thanks for defending me against that rude person. I don't know why they were mean to me but I talked to a liar and that liar does not know the law even though he is a liar. The lawyer said that there is no slander or discrimination because they did nothing illegal as i did not have legal id when i wanted to buy the cigs. The lawyer also said that i cannot have Family Dollar charged with making me hit my disabled 68 year old mother even though it was their fault and I was mad at them.

Family Dollar Racist abusive manager

Savannah, I just submitted the Following complaint on Family Dollar's website:

To Whom It May Concern:

A manager at the W. 130th Street location in Cleveland, Ohio wore a costume yesterday (10/31/18) that perpetuates racist stereotypes toward Native Americans. The costume was fake buckskin and a fake feather headdress. Again, the costume perpetuates racist stereotypes towards Native Americans and is mocking/desecrating a sacred object (feather headdress).

When my friend pointed out the harmful racism of the manager's costume, the manager threatened my friend with violence. Threatening to "beat" or "kick" her "[censored]."

This same manager then told my friend's sister to "get the [censored] out" when she complained to this manager about the manager's behavior and racist costume.

Is this how your managers are trained?

Are your managers trained to wear racist costumes on Halloween and threaten customers with violence?

When a customer expresses a complaint or concern to your managers are your managers trained to tell that customer to "get the [censored] out"?

Is this the message and image Family Dollar wants to project to the community and its customers?

Family Dollar's reputation is on the line here.

Why should I or anyone else shop at your stores if managers are going to treat customers like this?

Why should I or anyone else shop at Family Dollar if your managers/employees are going to threaten customers with violence and wear racist costumes?

Manager wearing Native American ceremonial headdress for Halloween is racist! Then she verbally abused a Native women who complained? Store on W. 130th St., Cleveland, OH Terminate this women! Family Dollar Service

I was visiting glendale az on November 1st and our group decided to pick up some snacks. We stop at one family dollar located at 3250 w. Indian School rd Phoenix az 85017 and it was closed !. Closing time that is clearly printed on the front door is 10:00pm but this store was closed at 9:43. The employees acted like they didn't see me or other customers knocking on the door. Angry and a little upset, We left there and went to a different family dollar located at 3605 w Thomas rd. When we arrived to the second store it was 9:50 and the store was also closed early. One of the other customers asked why it was closed early and one employee yelled at him that her watch says 10:00 and walked away. I love shopping at Family Dollar and shop at there many times a week. I was so very disappointed and angry that the two stores were closed early and angry about how the workers were I will never go to those two locations again. I live in flagstaff az where there are three family dollar locations and have never had this happen or be treated like that before. These events pretty much put a damper on our night. Please inform these employees and locations about proper closing times and the right way to treat customers. Thank you

Family Dollar Violating the privacy act law

I really am thinking about filling a lawsuit about the violation of the privacy act law by your managers at 2616 e alondra Blvd Compton CA not only once but twice or three times but your employees are showing surveillance cameras to customers when they ask them to.. by law if I am not mistaking you guys cannot do that. I spoke to them about that but they seem not really care.

Family Dollar A store

I went to store 10184 on 11-01-18 and they only had two baskets I had to carry my 9 month old baby and basket through the store I couldn't get everything I needed. This store is always a mess outside and nasty on the inside. Store manager is always rude I don't understand why and it's a inconvenient to shop holding a baby while shop. And they music was loud.

Family Dollar Service complaints

Good afternoon. I entered this store on 11/1/2018 around 9:00 am. There were at least 3 employees at the front of the store and when I walked in I had to be the one to open my mouth and speak and then only one person barely spoke. If you call mumbling, speaking. The issue is I enjoy going into your stores but not greeting a potential customer is just ridiculous. Also why is it at some stores they greet you and others they do not. I could also answer that as well. It is the area. But it should not be. Everyone should be trained the same. But I guess if you train them the same way it is up to them to use it correctly. But I know I am rambling, but it should not be this way. Your employees well those at that store need to be definitely checked on.

Family Dollar I lost my wallet

Whom It May Concern, I Emma king lost my wallet on the 10/16/18 IN FAMILY Dollar Store on 79th and Yates I got to the counter to pay for my merchants I decide to use my debt card I thought I put my wallet back in my purse I don't know if I drop it or put it on the counter when I left went to another store i realize I didn't have my wallet so I return to the family Dollar Store there four worker stand beside the counter i ask did they find a wallet the Manger says yes I says Thank u Jesus the Manger says there was no IDI say I know only business cards and cash was in it she say that what they got the cash I'm writing u because I would like to know if the cashiers got my wallet I'm very hurt cause I love me some family Dollar and very disappointed in them I'm a regular customer and I'm concern. And the look on they face when I return in there gave me an idea that they got my money so if anyway u can check ure camera thank you in advance

Family Dollar Store manager

I rarely see the store manager. She is supposed to be at the store more then the ASMs are. However, when this store manager is at her store she is either sleeping in her car, on the phone for hours, late, leaves for hours at a time, or leaves early from the majority of the shifts she is supposed to work. If this is what yall pay store managers for in Palestine tx, I need to get this job. 7857 needs a new store manager, talk to her employees.

Family Dollar Store manager

No it's not about any products it's about as of yesterday I went in store on 71 Wabash on city southside of Chicago and as I came in the my husband and me was angring in the store so I had my shopping cart with me I wasn't paying any attention to the fact I was suppose to had put my shopping cart behind the counter and I went up alis with shopping cart and thats when the store manager came around the corner and said very unprofessional that uuh bby I have to take shopping cart behind counter then I said why I waited when I walk up alis then say something then she I was going to say something anyway that also was unprofessional so as me and husband was walking threw the store weare still arguing me and my husband sowhen I couldn't find what I wanted I left I the door with my husband and five second later store manager came out and said hey if you come back in this I will call corp on u and have u arrested for transpass

Family Dollar Halloween candy and sale price posted

I am very upset, I went into the Family Dollar on Austell Rd in Marietta Ga 30008 on 10/29/2018 purchase Halloween candy, it was sale signs posted that read buy 2 get one free on $15.00. and $5.00 bags of candy... i went to counter with my items to purchase and the Store Manager who had no name tag said the sale ended on 10/28/2018, I advised her it's sale signs hanging under the candy bags in 2 differentnt areas stating sale prices, so at that time with me showing her all the signs peeled them off and said these should not be up still as it expired. I explained that if a sale item is posted with a sign that it has to be honored because it shows thru out store at multiple locations and it's the Store responsibility to remove sale tags as of that day sale ends. I asked manager can she honor the pricesince or was still posted again and she said she can't and she will NOT honor the tagged price that if I have a problem contact corporate, I at that time 5:42 pm on 10/29/2018 called the number that she wouldn't supply me with by looking at a posted corporate sign, corporate was close at that time and advised to send email.
I am very dissatisfied with the customer service I received and the Managers attitude regarding the situation that displayed a sale item(you don't take down a sale sign in front of a customer and don't honor the price because it wasn't removed the day before) that sale sign had been there almost a entire day after sale ended.. I didn't purchase the items(candy or other items) as I didn't feel respected at that Family Dollar as a paying customer. Again I am very very upset as Halloween is in 2 days and I had to leave without candy..

Family Dollar Management

Family Dollar Store number 12094

I am a repeat customer at the Family Dollar and I do not like the way this store is being run. Customers have to wait in long lines when the manager is standing up laughing and holding a conversation with her friends while the young ladies at the register need help. There are two young ladies that are part time employees who I have seen first hand do all the work when it comes to stocking and checking out the customers, while the Manager and her Assistant Store Manager do nothing and that is sometimes rude to a certain type of customer. I have also overheard them talking in the aisle about taking money and moving money out of the deposits and saying first hand if something comes up wrong they will just blame the other associates. And also speaking of the two young ladies on a daily basis they have not had a day off in two weeks just because the manager claims "she has to do it that way" which makes no sense. This manager's actions needs to be looked at and something needs to be done!
Management needs to be looked into.

Family Dollar Haven't received my last paycheck from family dollar

I just recently left family Dollar for another job and I have yet to receive my last paycheck and I was told I was took out the system so I can't retrieve my last pay stub either tried calling the corporate number I was given but no answer just voicemail and my store manager and district manager haven't been very helpful they act like they don't care to see what happened to my funds I'm needing answers and help who can I get in contact with about my funds the money was going straight to my ADP card and it will notify me whenever my money was being deposited into that account

last pay check and they owe me a 200.00 bonus ...I have tryed everything and they saying they dont owe it I have got pics of wat they owe me and still saying they don't ..this company needs to sued or handled ..

Family Dollar Cashier and how a sale ended

Was shopping 50% off clearance. Had lots of items in my cart and cashier rips sales ad off clearance cart and said no more clearance sale. She was very rude. But i am so mad that family dollar would just stop a sale at 3 in the afternoon. And that i had things in my cart. I will probably never shop at family dollar again. The sale should have ended when store closed tonight. It was ridiculous and NOT right.

Family Dollar Harassment complaint

Hello!

My name is Leigh Ann, I have a basic complaint about one of your head managers in charge of this store. Recently I was in line buying a big load of groceries.

Me and my roommate go here frequently to shop because it is close enough to our apartment,
were we live, I actually work up the road from this manager, at Walgreens. I do basically the same job she does, only I'm just what they call a CSA, a floor associate
that re-stocks shelves, and scans inventory. My roommate is disabled. He has mild dementia, and he's on disability.

Sometimes he mumbles out loud to himself a lot
and people misinterpret him, this lady didn't greet us, she complained the entire time
about how ignorant and bossy, my roommate was after I paid her almost 90 dollars in groceries, if I were to speak with my customers the same way, I would be fired.

I don't understand why your company feels like there special and they can get
away with being discriminatory. Doesn't she have to sign an agreement not
to discriminate against the elderly and disabled?

If it were up to me, I'd fire her or have her store shut down, one or the other, I don't expect you to fire her, but I will let you know she was rude and very disrespectful.

It hurt our feelings deeply. And technically she could end up getting sued, if she keeps up her attitude.

I don't expect her to smile or be friendly, but if I were to have her
attitude, I wouldn't be able to keep my job. I can't be myself the same way she can I
have to fake being happy the way most retail companies expect associates to be
so it seems a little bit unfair in a way.

Just letting you know, you don't have to have great customer service like walgreens, but your company could certainly learn how to teach your associates how to adjust there attitudes the same way I have to all
day long.

The assistant manager, Natasha Allen in your Lancaster City, Pa store (on S. Duke St.) is rude, disrespectful and prejudice. She said on of the store's employees (an educated Black woman with a college degree, who is only working there part-time because she's disabled) was "acting White." Complaints have to be made to the corporate office regarding this matter.

Family Dollar District manager being hateful

My girlfriend was working for y'all in Mt Pleasant TN recently and uses work in Columbia TN. She was an asm at both and the district manager Linda was very rude and voger towards my girlfriend. I was very displeased with her actions and also I went to Columbia store once and she was rude to me and I was there as a customer. Y'all need to do something about the DM cuz she is abusing her priveledges as a dm.

Family Dollar Bought a costume

I bought a costume from family dollar on 44th and Pennsylvania in Oklahoma city, the cashier did not hand me a receipt because she was too busy talking about my friends long hair and I myself forgot about it, well the costume doesnt fit my son and they will not let me return it without a receipt, when the cashier should have been doing her job, I was in there at 630pm and bought it it was the same cashier today but they still wouldn't even give me store credit. I think that's wrong and a RIP off, me nor my family will not be conducting business with people who are gonna RIP me off.

To whom it may concern I started with this company in April of this year I started in Nashville with a store manager Ciara Johnson and three other assistance and I was a cashier I was so happy to come aboard with Family Dollar it was like having a new family I had to relocate back to Memphis so I came back to Memphis still in employee of Family Dollar since I have been here working for Family Dollar in Memphis it has been a very awful experience and I need for someone to just listen to my story I enjoy being an Asm for Family Dollar just not the Family Dollar where I've been working I've never seen so much chaos the manager Amy Johnson I think that your name store 5844 is a very ungrateful manager she tries to make you feel beneath her I've never in do it so many thefts and running into run outs and as a sufferer of anxiety she's very heartless and understanding to how I feel

I'm not asking to be babied, but on last night I experienced 4 run outs, ( shop lifters) & chaotic behavior in the store it was very over whelming and I was afraid of what would happen next

Your Anxiety doesn't belong in the workplace, and no one needs to cater to you, with regards to anxiety. You, and you alone need to figure out your triggers, and FIX IT, as not all managers are going to handle you with kid gloves.
