No air conditioning in the store
Family dollar has no air in the store and makes shopping miserable. I visited the store yesterday and asked why so hot and stated the haven't had air for years. I don't see how any worker could be happy serving customers. The store number is 06156 on 1201 e meyer blvd. This store is located in the inner city serving people of color. Please take care of the community and your workers.

Fraudulent marking of un-picked-up on-line orders as picked up and pocketing the money instead of refunding it
WATCH OUT FOR FAMILY DOLLAR - THEY ARE CROOKS!
I made an on-line order for about $20 or $25 and as it took a while to get sent to the store I bought the items (elsewhere) instead, and then simply abandoned the order, expecting I'd be getting a refund. Family Dollar did not send a refund and they didn't send email to find out whether I was intending to pick up. Instead they simply marked the order as 'picked up' and kept the money. Its hard for me to believe that any business, much less one of this size, would think they could get away with keeping the money people send them for un-received goods. DO NOT TRUST THESE FOLKS and NO NOT ORDER FROM THEM ONLINE UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO SPEND YOUR TIME TRACKING WHAT THEY DO WITH YOUR MONEY.
Desired outcome: I should be getting a refund instead of having to go through hoops trying to find out who I should speak to to get some answers

On April 18 2023 I purchased a 15 dollar igloo cooler with intentions on taking it with me to a get together that evening. I never made it to the gathering so the following day I decided that since I didn't use it I would return it and get some needed items with the returned money. First when I got to the store I confronted what ended up being the only employee at the time and she didn't know how to do a return so she called her supervisor and was told that it would be like 5 minutes before she would return. So I wait and walk the store picking out several items I would purchase after I was refunded. So after about 20 minutes the one I guess was on the phone showed up so I walk over to her and handed her my receipt and the cooler and she sucked in her teeth and says to me "I ain't taking this back" I said "excuse me? Why is that?" She then stated "because it's filthy" mind you the cooler had been sitting in my truck since purchased and hadn't been used. So told her that and she proceeds to call her superior and takes pictures and what not and so I'm still waiting for her to get a response. Finally after about 10 minutes of silence ishe gets a response and she is conversing with her superior all the while calling me a liar and looking down on me. Well this is where it gets good. She says to her superior I couldn't resell that to anyone. So I say I bet that I could go pick one of the shelf that was just as if not "filthier" so she says do it. And I did! The first one I saw and didn't have to open it. It had a dark smudge across the top of the lid that looked like what was inside the one I purchased. I even quoted your return policy and she pretty much told me off. The employee in question was named "Ronica" and the store in question is 1717 N. Pace Blvd. Pensacola, FL. I think "Ronica" could use some customer service classes and I truly hope that she is not anyone with a supervisor title. Howard, liberal return policies are designed specifically to encourage people to buy things they dont know if they're going to need based on the ability to return it if the need doesn't materialize. such policies tend to work in favor of the store over the long run which is why they continue to persist in practice. As far as who has final say about a return, policy is one thing, but to a well trained retailer it is always customers such as Charles that must prevail because such customers can make the denial of a legitimate return cost the store far more than acceptance thereof. There are times when you must give up on a battle to win the war.

The manager is working everyday all day and no help! Why can't family work for her when they are in a super small town and have no help!? Least she works and gets the store done. The workers she has calls in constantly and also got scammed at that store Leena was her name and is rude! Allison the manager is amazing and her daughter is too when she worked there while her mom was gone. Then yall laid her off cause she can't work there cause her mom does!? That's not fair and especially when she will work and helps that store alot.
Desired outcome: Hire her back and let her help that poor manager shouldn't have to do truck alone and work 12 hour shifts 7 days a week!
Racially profiled/ harassed
Easter day April 9th 2023 the family dollar at 6721 e Admiral pl tulsa ok 74115 store # 5022. I came in the store a lady that i presume as the manager though she had no name tag and she was not the cashier watched as I walked in looked at me with a non friendly look i smiled at her anyway she looked at what I was wearing, looked me back in my eyes and never greeted me. A white female followed by a white male enters the door and she greets and says hello to both.
Once I got to the register I did say to her it was weird and she was weird for how she watched me walk in and said nothing to me but greeted the next two customers she asked what did you say ?are you talking about me i looked her right in her face repeated what I said .she followed up by saying well [censored] you ddnt have to be rude i told her you work here not me she was not professional she's calling me all kinds of [censored]es if I don't like her store I don't have to buy anything. I said no were still going to purchase because she didnt onow the white lady and i came together she pushed the items closer to me and motioning her hands and said yea [censored] you better buy all this [censored] I said reverse psychology does not work and she proceeded to say I'm dirty look dirty my mother's vagina is ran through smelly so am I so unfortunate that a worker does not greet you when you came in to spend money but I know customer service is not valued i don't have faith on this bieng solved because as nasty as she was to me I could tell not her 1st to a customer

On April 4, 2023; I purchased several items at Family Dollar store # 11433 located at Griffin Road Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33312. The male cashier gave me torn $10 dollar bill. Therefore, I asked him for another $10 dollar bill that is not torn. The male cashier said, "You have to wait until someone pay with cash to open the cash register". I stood and waited for about 5 minutes. No customer paid with cash as I waited for the male cashier to give me a untorn $10 dollar bill so I asked for the manager of the store. The female manager of the store replied, "I am the manager of the store." Then she said, "I cannot open the cash register you have to wait until another customer pay with cash. I stood next to the cash register and wait. However, no customers entered the store. I asked the female manager for a refund for the items I purchased. The female manager did the return. Then I said to her, "Now I am purchasing the items I just returned. The female manager was upset I decided to purchase the items again. The female manager threated me and she aggressively place the money (balance from the purchase) in my hand.
Desired outcome: I would like Family Dollar to fire the female manager

Unfortunately, some individuals in the world do not obtain employment in their field of interest, therefore, they fail to adapt to certain positions, as well as, adjust to employee responsibilities. They do not understand the fact that, without a constant flow of revenue, their place of employment will not sustain into the future, they will be without whatever income they are receiving, and it's totally bad for single parent female who has three or more children, etc...the of reasons as to why individuals must learn to be respectful of others goes on...
“no public restrooms “
(General scenario). I am making a special trip to shop at your store, upon arriving, my wife enters and is shopping in store, while I am sitting in car a
Sudden urge to visit, the restroom. In entering store (with issues of bladder problems) there isn’t time to have choices of where to go. I am told restrooms are not for the public, yet the public is the primary reason your doors are open. To have this type of disrespect for this type of handicap problem a lot of people have, I will not! shop this store, Walmart, on-line, or other venues I will take, I won’t be told I can go to store next door (I am not shopping at store next door)
Desired outcome: Have open or access to restrooms that was put there in design of bldg,but has been closed by decision of local policy
Toymazing musical train set
On March 30, 2023 I went to Family Dollar store number 10944. I purchased a TOYMAZING MUSICAL TRAIN SET. This train set is suppose to be able to activate movement. On the box it shows a illustration on how to activate movement. There is no button on this train to activate the movement.
There is a small black box inside the train that contains some type of gears but no way to make them run.

CSR and Manager
On Wednesday March 29 me and my 2 grandchildren ages !5 and 12 went into the Libby MT Dollar store around !:45 IN The afternoon. I had added about a dozen items to my cart. When we started to check out one of the items did not come up on the register with a scanned price. I had asked her the price because my grandson was going to pay me back with his own money. That's when she noticed it did not have a price. So she said it has no price so I can't sell it to you. At that point I had asked if the manger might be able to find a price, She put the item aside and said we could do that at the end . Whatever button she hit on the register trying to find the price of the item erased everything she had scanned. So she had to unpack everything and stat over. As we are talking I ask my grandson to go get another item of the same and we can see if it had a price, he brings it up and csr scans it and yet again no price in the system. And once again everything got erased and she had to start over again. This being now the 3rd time to do this' with her frustration I heard her say the F___ word under her breath but enough for me to hear. I had ask a few simple questions about maybe manger could override or something. At that moment she doubled scanned and item, So me thinking all she has to do is subtract it off, It erased everything again. At that point we getting ready to have to start scanning again 4th time now, and she said to me if I would stop talking and not interrupt her she might get something done! I told he she did not needed to tell me to be quiet as I was trying to help resolve the issue. I then said I want to speak to the manger and was goin to find her. The CSR then walked away from her post and yelled for the manager to come up front. When the manger arrived I tried to explain what happed and she Started yelling at and raised he arms up in the air at me, to just stop and that we are not doing this. She was loud and rude and had no customer service mode to try and resole the problem and she then started re-scanning my item and once again the item in question did not have a price and she said we are not selling the item and threw it behind her on a table behind, no matter what I said about the way I was spoke to she refused to allow to tell my side, so I got frustrated and said, you know what, you can keep your crap and I will be reporting this, the manger then said go ahead ,I don't care. I walked out with out anything and feeling I was attacked. The manager should of tried to resolve the issue. The csr did say sorry but her voice was overrode by the loud rude manger who showed no professional ethics at. This is not acceptable.
Desired outcome: An Apology, and better training or reprimand on employees, Don't put item out for sale if they don't have or know the price.
Discrimination of a customer

The assistant manager was mocking a disabled woman in the store when an african american gentleman walked up and she called him a [censored]. I was offended as I myself am disabled and have bi-racial children and grandchildren. This is a very small town and when the gentleman asked her about her position she stated she was the assistant manager and that the manager was not there and was her friend so it wouldn't matter anyway. I know she was telling the truth because as I said this is a very small town. I have heard this individual do this on numerous occasions. If someone comes into this store that she doesn't like she comments not only to coworkers but to customers and even to the person themselves.
Desired outcome: Termination of the individual. And compensation to the community by that has had to put up with her behavior. As well as an apology by the company to the community for allowing this behavior to continue without consequences.
