dirty store/restroom
I went to Family Dollar 4-
I asked if my grandkids can use the restroom. The worker said they were out of order. I told her I'm calling the 800 number. Than she said okay. They had out of order signs for men's and ladies room but they weren't out of order. They store was so dirty and things every where. The water fountain had trash stacked up. And it smelled like dump. I do have more pictures of the store. And this is not the first time the store has been so dirty.

I went into the westpark and w broad st location and realized my husband left my paycard on our nightstand so I put the product down and as I was leaving the store I was putting my wallet back into my purse and there were a couple others walking out with us and the besper went off and I guess because it looked like I was in my purse the manager a mixed male ran up behind me outside (at first I thoughr it was my husband cuz we were arguing) and tore my purse off my shoulder! It scared me when I realized who it was... Someone just trying to steal my purse so I didnt know what to do. He then took my purse inside the store and refuses to return it to me even when he seen that I didnt have anything in it that belonged to his store! Im considering contacting an attorney because I cant get my property back. Im missing work and other things because all my important info is in my purse. Please contact me as soon as possible.

I recently visited a Family Dollar located at 5808 W. Hampton Ave in Milwaukee, WI. Now just to let you know I work just a few blocks from this location and also live close to this location as well so I frequently do my shopping here. The store is to open at 8am the store is NEVER OPEN at the specified time. Today I arrived at the store @8:15am and their vendor truck was there with bars over the store. NO EMPLOYEES TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE! And this is not the first time that I have visited this particular store and have encountered the same thing. The parking lot is treacherous for parking. I absolutely enjoy shopping with the Family Dollar franchise but there is some work that could be done. Another instance would be that every time I visit this store the workers have no RESPECT for the customers as far as staying on the phone talking while checking someone out...having the music playing from the phone that has vulgar/offensive language...that's just to name a few things that I see. Professionalism should always be key!

I was in the Oak Grove La Family Dollar store around 5:20-5:25pm today the 10th of April, 2018. I'm pretty sure the lady in front of me purchased 2 rugs with a food stamp card (EBT).I heard this has happened
before with people buying cigarettes.

store a bad name. The manager/cashier never batted an eye with it?
I understand people having to have help...for food, not rugs or cigarettes.

Small bi-monthly cash benefits are put onto EBT cards, so there is a food balance and a cash balance. You can use the cash balance to buy anything, or to get cash from an ATM.

Hello, I'm upset I just purchase Ajax large bottle-52 oz over the weekend and the price for .95 after $ 2.00 coupon was apply I did get the deal with my fabouloso but the cashier did not honor the price on the shelves or in the ad and she was not trying to assist, The coupon was clipped but not applied.
This issue has happened before and causes a major inconvenience and I need to be compensated for the trouble I'm having with you all faulty system and false advertising that was recent done over the weekend.

rats in store and chewed product on shelves, smells of rat urine poop
We had the misfortune of shopping to see rats running amok in store. Which caused great concern to even touch product. Since there for a few things tiolet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dawn we walked out spending $ 36.13.
I had read 2 wks ago of a problem of rats, mice etc both inside and outside the store #08692 - Southfield, Ecorse MI. We chose to go to this store since it was new built. We could go to Lincoln Park store. But chose 08692 was bigger & more organized.
With that being said, we wont shop there or many local people either. Why the store remains open until it is safely eradicated & humans can trust products contaminated free? Let alone dodge rats/ mice scurrying about.If anyone has kids, I shudder about their danger.
I was harassed by a family dollar associate
I was at store #6656 on W. Tyvola Road in Charlotte NC trying to purchase a few items around 9:40pm Brought my items up to cash register the cashier Quavious was giving me funny looks as he waited for to swipe my debit card he handed me reciept without bagging my stuff most cashiers there make sure they bg while your swipe I ask if he was going to bag my stuff he comesbback at me with what do think of doing then starts to put stuff in bag with an attitude Of course I get upset we exchange words he starts yelling about how I fot him [censor] up and calling a botch and curse jr didnt want to bag my last item which was a drink I stood upset asking him to bag he goes on something esle talking yeah its me ammback talking abiut tell mhim to pull up reffering to a beef he had months last year pass with a guy I know now iam really angry now because he harassing about something I have nothing to with and has nothing to donwith my store purchase finally the [censor] store manager Shantora g rab the drink and said this is your I grabbed the drink snd my bag abd proceeded to leave he still talking abd called me [censor]. as am leaving. For 1 iam a very loyal customer and was shopping there 2-3 times a day I spend about 100.00 or more a day all the cashiers know me am very disappointed and do not want to reteurn to that store even though its the closest store I rather ride out esle where iam done and I feel the manager Shantora shloud have stepped in and told him to get of register and she should bagged my stuff once she saw there was a problem. I Mrs. Debbie Smith purchased a Green dot money Pak reload at Family Dollar #4108 on March 8, 2018. A $500 & $200 reload. On March 22, 2018 downloaded the $200 but wasn't able to load the $500. Went back to store wasn't able to receive refund of any type. Called green dot representative was able to get refund. The store needs 3 digit passcode off receipt. I was at the Family Dollar #04281 in Oklahoma City. I desperately needed to use the restroom. I am 52 years old and a Diabetic. When a Diabetic has to go to the restroom, they have to go right now. If they don't and the nerve relaxes, they can urinate on themselves. I asked for a restroom and the clerk was telling me that I could go to a local business. I stated that I was a Diabetic and that I needed to go now. I told her there are 23 million Diabetics in America with up to 86 million to develop Diabetes. She thought I was angry with her. I wasn't. I told her I have a Master of Public Health degree, wasn't dumb, and knew what I was talking about. She called her manager and told her I was mad because she wouldn't let me use the restroom. I told her I wasn't mad. She wanted to take issue and let me know it was a corporate rule. I told her I would be sending an email to corporate with my complaint. Dollar General has public restrooms and half the time they are open for the publics use. Sure sometimes they are out of order, but the fact is they have public restrooms and don't restrict usage. The only reason I continue to go to Family Dollar is because they carry the Just for Men hair color. Dollar General quit carry the brand that I use there. I may start going to Walmart and pay a couple dollars more just so I can have the assurance that I can use the restroom if I need it.

The manager at the Family Dollar located at 2045 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30318 closed the store at 9:45pm, April 3, 2018. The closing hours posted on the front door is 10pm.
I spoke with neighbors in the community about the early closings and was told this happens frequently. As much as I appreciate the store's location I do not appreciate being denied service before closing hours.
This issue will be communicated with the Grove Park Neighborhood Committee.

If your Store hours are set and posted for the customer's Information. That means that your store closes at 10 p.m. to the customer that should mean that the door will be locked at 10 p.m. when a customer comes to the store at 9:55 and finds the door locked and the clerk counting their drawer, then store must have closed before 9:55 and not at 10 p.m. I should have been able to go in and grab a gallon of milk without a problem. I pointed to the clock on my phone to the clerk it said 9:55 and she motions were closed. Winn-Dixie closes at 10 they're probably 300 yards their door was still unlocked 2 minutes to 10 which it should be. Point being, if you're going to close early please advise our customers that you will close early not try to patronize your store 5 to 10 minutes before the normal closing time. I know if you sell a gallon of milk or not is not going to make or break you. But it leaves your customers was bad feelings about the experience. Sorry to rant, feelings about the experience causes tension for the customer towards the store employees and the customers in the future.
Please help, I know the manager will never do that and probably doesn't know that it happened. The manager has never done that to me. But in the past other workers have in the last 10 minutes before 10 not always but from time to time like tonight April 2nd 2018.

Filthy dirty with debris all over to the fact that I feared of seeing a rat. I walked down 1 aisle and looked at another and couldn't get out of there soon enough. Regarding the store in enterprise Utah. I don't really know how to handle this problem but when I visit the dollar store and if Robin Burch is working she approaches me or my uncle and begs us for our prescription medication. It has gotten to the point that if I see her car in the parking lot I go somewhere else. I can't believe she is allowed to buy sell and trade prescription medication in your store. The store is known as the drug store. If you could please just make her stop harassing people for their prescriptions that would be pretty awesome.

I went to the new castle location. When I let the manager Caitlyn I believe was her name know that she was charging more than the idea was listed for she told me there was nothing she could do cause that's what her system rang it up for. At this point I told her I would need to go get more money from my vehicle. She decided to mock me in front of another customer. She refused to give me the corporate phone number because she knew she was in the wrong. So I went home and called back to get the corporate number. At this time i was left on hold over 15 mins and as a premier phone banker I know when people do this just to get the customer to hang up. I go there almost everyday. I don't think I'll be going back because people do not deserve to be treated like I was. My mother is also a very high standing individual within our town of less than 5000 and if it happens again I'll make sure she gets the word around.

First nobody was up there and I didn't understand why because nobody was in the store except for me. The lady was outside just standing there and when she saw me she rolled her eyes. She began to ring my items with a nasty attitude and didn't even bother to tell me how much my items were. I bought 2 items it shouldn't be that much trouble to tell me. Everytime I come in to that store she always has an attitude and I would say well let me just relax but no she seriously is not cut out for customer service because she could have faked it but instead she showed her true colors.
android phone charging cord
I purchased a phone charger cord from Family Dollar Moberly Missouri. The cords were hung on hangers in order "supposedly" one hanger filled with I phone cords. Another filled with Android cords. I picked one from I phone rack, which read nowhere it was for Android.It had been mixed in with the I phone cords. It was a mere $6. I got home, opened the lid of small box only and immediately saw it would not my I phone. About Six days later I went back to store and asked if I could get a refund. She stated " I'm not sure if this is covered under out electronics non refundable policy" So she called her Asst. manager and asked if phone cords were under that policy. An instant "No" I heard standing there. I disagreed a little then left. While waiting at pharmacy I looked up Gamily Dollar's return policy. It said nothing of electronics returnable. It stated if package had been opened they would only exchange for same item. Mind you, I had only opened the closeable lid. So she texts this time the asst. manager so I would not know how she described the situation. I had the store policy googled, paragraph in question ready to read to the [censored]. manager. She didn't bother to honor my request and texted who knows what. The [censored]. manager pointed out a 2018 return rule displayed at check out counter. Reading in very small print, exchange of opened electronics only. So I gave in and said "Ill just take the exchange only. So I was was walking to the cord isle, and she says " oh no, it says exact item only, you bought an Android cord, you can't trade for the I phone one". These were same exact brand and price i phone or Android hanging right next together. So she wouldn't allow me to even exchange for the one I needed. I became angrier, then said " I just as well forget it, because you're going to find a way to refuse me no matter the condition" I walked out and will be the last time I pass those doors, unless corporate requires me an apology, and an I phone exchange. I had perfect receipt of sale in hand.

I entered a store complaint on 03-27-2018. I have only received confirmation of complaint received. Is there any action taken place on this matter. Can I expect your decision made on this? I still have the item and receipt. Exchange is what I am seeking, and apology from employee or store manager on how I was repeatedly denied any effort to resolve matter. On 3~24~2018 I showed up for my shift while I was counting the safe the assistant manager decides I'm not moving fast enough so he declares the only cashier at the time before anybody even loaned on other register. I told him like I have been that he couldn't do that due to the fact no one was going to be able to ring out customers he told me don't tell him what to do he already talked to Dave (store manager/friend) and went on and on about it. At that point I said nothing else and started to loan the cashier on the register Demetrius went to the back office and came back up and made comments under his breath about jail visitation I ignored it due to the fact that I had no idea what he was talking about, he repeated it multiple times til finally I said y'all are too into my personal life worried about things that doesn't concern y'all or this job I told him they needed to mind their business and not worry bout nothing concerning me outside of work Demetrius says worried about your ugly [censor] for what wrong person went on and on saying unnecessary things I finished doing what I was doing he walked around the store and came back and said I guess prostitutes don't get paid enough that's why your here first comment I ignored honestly surprised how he knew about a charge on my record from 11 years ago. He repeated it 3times on the floor in front of customers cashiers even one customer laughed. I said you don't know anything about me and walked out the store shattered emotionally because it was no-one I could go to considering the fact that he and Dave store manager are friends my Dm is on vacation I don't know who is covering for him in the meanwhile called corporate they wrote up a ticket number for the complaint and told me to wait for dm to come back next week. I mentioned the altercation to store manager via text just following procedure, he backed up his friend and told me that situation and what was said about my personal business had nothing to do with him. And told me to bring him keys, I don't know why they would take time out of their day to look my name up and dig through my personal non job related business. Just for Demetrius can humiliate me about my past. Today after a year working for family dollars im out of a job because dave decided to do paperwork on me and take me off schedule no warning or anything I don't know what to do

I was visiting the family dollar at 1500 Edgemont ave. I was purchasing a few things. I noticed hair dryers that the label stated $10. I could not pass that deal so I pulled 2 off the top shelf. Since they were on the top shelf I had to use my cane to pull them down. Did I mention I am handicap and walk with a cane. I had my daughter wait in line to pay. I looked at my receipt and adv the cashier that the shelf tag stated $10 and that there were others sitting above the tag as well. Cashier did go verify and pull the other dryers off the shelf and called the manager. The manager Amanda came up and the cashier was explained what the situation was and advised that she pulled the others off the shelf since they were not $10. The manager came back and bluntly said, " Well these are $20 a piece and Family Dollar puts pictures on their tags". The manager spoke softly I had to move closer to hear what she was saying. I advised the manager that there was no picture where the tag was and there were 2 others on the shelf. I felt frustrated since I did not get an apology and I felt she was telling me that I should have climbed the shelf to log at the tag that said $10 to make sure there was a picture there to match. I stated that I wanted to get a refund because the tag said $10. At that point the manager came to live and smiled while she stated I can do a refund for you. Still no apology for the mistake of "someone putting stock in the wrong spot". I normally shop Family Dollar since the prices are pretty reasonable. After today though it puts a bad taste in my mouth. Having to walk with a cane and use the cane to get the products of a high shelf, then being told, (in my words) practically I should have walked up and looked for a picture to make sure it was a picture of the right product is bad business. I can't say I will continue to shop the store after this incident.

I purchased a Polaroid bluetooth speaker at the store last night. When I got home Bluetooth signal kept on cutting out, with the sound of a busy phone signal. I am well-versed in electronics and I know that that means that the transmitter inside of the Bluetooth speaker is bad. So I returned it. I went up there had no issues at all, the lady that worked thermos Amy, was very nice and courteous and had no problem returning it. So, and good faith, I purchased a another Bluetooth speaker.
Just so there's no confusion, I know that those are Dollar General bags in the pictures. That's all I can find at the time.
So today I get up, get it together and head back up to the dollar store. Well when I got there, I was basically told I was screwed. They refused to give me a refund on it, even though I explained to them the situation, and what I talked to the other employee about last night.About not having to put her through the trouble of doing another return. I told her that I told the other employee I would just bring it back today. She did not give two, whatever's, she just basically told me there was no way that I was going to get a return. She told me she would give me a swap out for the same speaker. Why the heck would I want another one of those speakers. Especially if the first time I ever touched it the son of a gun broke. That's like screwing around all the time, you say, "well maybe this one don't have an STD..."
It just sucks that I can't get my money back. I really need that money for my baby girl. It completely slipped my mind, and I'll admit, it's my fault I spent the money. I just don't see any reason why they can't just give me my money back, and move on in life, and never have to think about this situation again.
I have the receipt, where it shows that I returned the Polaroid Bluetooth speaker, got a credit of $10 for it. This speaker cost $5 more, so I purchased it, with some other items. That was an easy process, it went smooth as butter. Today though, it was just strange. The speaker was a piece of crap, so I packaged it back up perfectly. You can never even tell that the box has been opened. I even brought the power cord back up in a little plastic bag, and put the instructions back, everything is there. It looks like it just came from the factory.
That's that's what I don't get, why was it no big deal last night, and now today they tell me that they are not giving two, whatever's.
I'm not going to drop any names cuz I'm not a snitch, but the lady that I was dealing with today something was going on with her. Just the way she was talking, the harsh tone that she had to her voice, it was just disdainful. I don't appreciate that. I go in the store all the time, and I've always been respectful. I'm actually friends with almost everyone in the store. Including this employee. But I don't know what was going on with her but that was not cool at all. It kind of ruined the day. Okay, I do not mean any malice in anything I have said in these comments. I just wanted to explain situation from my point of view. So thank you everyone, God bless you, and may every day being the most cool day of your life.

The speakers that I purchase was an iHip Jam bar Wireless music speaker. It was $15. I figured if I went with a better quality, it would be better results. However, as soon as I got to my car, I realized it I had just spent the money that I was supposed to get my daughter for her lunch next week at school. I went in, told Miss Amy, and we kind of had a little laugh about it, and I told her. I would not bother her with doing another return because she had just done one for me. I told her I would return today. We had to laugh about that as well, and so I just took it home. Curiosity got the best of me and I'll open up the speaker just to check it out and see if the quality was good. As soon as I touched the power button in the middle of the speaker the button fell down inside of the speaker. Then the Bluetooth button, and the volume up and down buttons both fell down inside the speaker. So, obviously, I was going to take it back no doubt about it.
