Ford,
My Coolant broke on my car and the Ford dealership charged me £400 for this. The wire snapped and the coolant kept emptying. Fast Forward two years and now the whole engine needs replacing due to an Oil pump failure!something to do with a gasket. The car has only done 68k and is serviced by Ford. I'm absolutely heartbroken. I can't afford a new car or the repairs. I've always had Ford cars. Never moved brands.
I'm upset that I was charged for the coolant and now I'm being charged to replace the engine.
I'm self employed and during the pandemic I've struggled financially. I can't afford a finance deal or a loan to repair my car.
I was also charged on a service for new break loads and disks, then when they inspected the car and sent me the video they said that I had no break fluid and that the discs and pads needed changing dispite the car being hardly used due to the pandemic.
The car had absolutely no oil in it when it stopped working. I had to top it up to take it to Ford. What's the point of paying for a major service but everything be on empty?! Doesn't make sense.
I feel like every time I go I'm charged for repairs and they're either not carried out or I shouldn't be paying.
Desired outcome: Refund for coolant and a new engine.
Service At a Ford dealership
I have had a transit custom tourneo in at a dealership in manchester, since it was there I was told there was a few faults for warranty repair, it has been there 6 weeks they came up with a new excuse every week. I asked for a curtesy car but I was again given more excuses why I couldn't have one.
Today I finally get it back after the six weeks, it was filthy oily marks all over the car.
I will never use a Ford dealership again after this experience.

My car has been at M & G Body Shop since JUNE 6.
I have been informed that the last few parts needed to complete my car are not available and they have no date in sight when they might be.
Front Bumper Reinforcement Bar: Part # GN1Z 17859 K
Front Body Radiator Support: Part # GN1Z 8A284 L
I have spoken with Keiron (Progressive) and Joe (M&G) many times over the last several weeks to no avail.
It isn't their fault Ford is such a mess, but it isn't my fault either.
I'm paying my car payment, Insurance and car rental every month that amounts to over $1000.
I'm 68 years old and on a fixed income and can not continue this way.
If parts are not available and there is no answer in sight, my car should be totaled.
I will need that closure so I can purchase another vehicle.
I see no other solution.
Please advise me.
Regards,
Robyn Bell
Desired outcome: Supply parts now or substitute a similar 2018 vehicle

Check engine light and refusing to back warranty
2018 Ford Shelby F150 Supercharged. At 18, 000 miles in 2020 the check engine light came on. My truck was 2 years old at the time so well within the warranty timeframe. I took it to the first dealership and they outright refused to work on it. So, I called Shelby and they gave me the location of a Shelby authorized dealer. it was an hour away, but it was the closest Ford service department that would work on it. That led to 4 more trips and a year later and the light was still coming on. So, I took it to them this last time and they kept it for over 4 months. They told me they would have a loaner but then when I got there, they said sorry we don't have one. So, I was an hour away from home and had no loaner. So, I had to call home to get someone to come get me. I then went 4 months without a vehicle while they worked on it. After 4 months, they said, we don't know what's wrong with it. What? I asked what they were going to do about it? I don't know. So, I called Ford to have a warranty claim done on the vehicle for them to buy it back. They refused even though it met every requirement. We resubmitted and they refused again. I think they knew what was wrong and that it was going to cost more money than a law suit. I had to go get my truck and trade it, taking a loss. I will never again buy from Ford. They do not back their vehicles. They do not cover their warranties either. They just think of their customers as a number and just bank on you not suing them. Or, weigh out the costs and make a business decision regardless of how it affects their customers. Buyer Beware!
2013 f-150 Tuscany
So first let me start by saying your overpriced piece of junk is really frustrating me at this point. I bought, in 2013, a brand new Ford F-150 Tuscany truck from Jacksonville Arkansas. It had 143 miles when I paid $79, 000 plus the cost of financing. So 3 weeks after I get the truck, the alternator in the truck shorts out, way to go Ford! We PAY to have that along with the whole front end of the truck replaced because again fords crappy work caused an issue. Which leads me to my current issue/problem with Ford yet again! So a recall was done on my truck in 2019 for the pcm module for the transmission. I took it to Ford and they let me know that the truck isn't giving issues and until it starts downshifting, they won't be able to fix it. In 2019 I can only assume the truck would've been under your 150, 000 recall. Which leads me to future date, the truck is now downshifting on its own and will not shift up. I take it back to the dealership only to be told now the pile of crap isn't covered because I'm over the 150, 000 miles. If it was fixed when the recall originally came out, I wouldn't now be having this problem. I am thoroughly pissed at not only Ford motor but Crain Ford out of Jacksonville as they told me UNTIL THERE WAS AN ISSUE, the recall wouldn't cover it!
Desired outcome: I want my truck fixed
Ford Mustang Mach-E Paint Peeling and Imperfections
I washed my Star White Premium RWD Mach-E with 1100 miles on it (for 3 weeks' ownership) and the paint peeled on the left side of the bumper as I was removing dried insect remains. But I did notice earlier on some paint peeling just under the left headlight cluster, but I didn't mind this as it isn't usually visible. Then I saw another 'dot' just below the trim on the driver's side front door. All these pointing to paint quality issues. Took the car to the nearest dealership and was told uneven paint application on the side where peeling is evident. Ford took less than an hour to reject the claim saying it must have been hit by an external object, though the local Ford guys noted the plastic is smooth. Was advised to call customer care and I did, and 5 minutes into the call was told they don't have any known paint issues (!). Adamantly told the agent there is and was promised a call by a specialist. Specialist called a few hours later and I was told per their investigation they can't cover it because they believe an external object hit the damaged area, yet couldn't answer if they indeed asked the person who actually saw the car if this is the case. Ford Social Media Team saw this posting on one of the forums and was told it's best to work with a service advisor, who unfortunately was told by Ford (and even I was told by Ford Customer Service) that they can't do anything.
Planning to visit 2 different Ford body shops and have them file warranty claims. Let's see where this will go...
Desired outcome: replace front fascia as uneven paint is evident on the entire left side, fix the imperfection on the door
Service
Currently the service dept has had my son's truck for over 3 weeks. We are continuesly told that they haven't had time to look at it "yet". They have not had the time to look at his truck yet. They do not know what is wrong with his truck because they are doing the vehicles in front of his. It is so frustrating when you want your vehicle back after buying it a short time ago. Now they tell us they need to find someone "certified" to look at it. It is a different excuse every time it is checked on. He really needs to know what is wrong with it and the cost of fixing it.
Desired outcome: Truck repaired and returned
Ford Dealer Service Offers Mailers
Greetings,
Apparently when you take your Ford to the dealer for a recall item, they collect your address so they can fill your mailbox with junk for eternity.
Please remove my address from your mailing list for Ford Service Offers.
I know where the Ford dealer is and don't need these useless reminders.
I do not wish to receive this type or material via the USPS.
Thank You
Desired outcome: no more junk mail
Diagnostic of fault
I handed my car into Alperton garage to get an overheating fault diagnosed for the cost of £120. I was informed that the issue was the radiator that would need replacing - but that a price would follow as the garage was undertaking a stock take at the time. I tried and tried to get through to the garage, but my calls were not answered. After no price was received I had to get an alternative garage to replace the radiator. Unfortunately the overheating fault still persisted after the replacement which leads me to believe that the diagnosis was incorrect. As a result of this I have carried out work totalling £360 - plus the £120 paid to yourself for the diagnostics.
Desired outcome: I need to have my car operational
Peeling chrome clad 20"rims
Installed new tires on my 2016 lariat super crew/all rims are starting to peel! ford needs to correct this problem & do now. I have been a loyal FORD customer fo over 55 years .My truck is a CPO but that dosen't seem to matter .I had to replace my lug nuts because ford refused to cover them under warranty .Ford is aware of the lug nut & peeling chrome issues with most all of the cars & trucks. They should step up and fix these known complaints. They are cutting there own throat! after over 50years of buying & racing only cars/trucks i am thinking of switching brands! now tell me how much are those rims going to cost you.
Desired outcome: REPLACE RIMS X4
Recall on transmission
So my mom had a recall on her transmission two months ago and they said they'd be able to get it fixed and it'd be ready after July fourth. It is almost august and she has been trying to call the dealership that has her car and nobody is answering. Everyone in the family is extremely frustrated with the company and their poor customer service, at this point...
Read full review of Ford2019 ford escape
I loved my 2019 Ford Escape but in May of this year I started having various issues with engine lights, overheating lights, surging, etc. I contacted my Ford dealership here in Rapid City, South Dakota and was told that it would be a month to six week wait before I could get into the service department at the dealership. Since I was concerned about the performance of my car I contacted another reputable service here in town. After five consecutive visits to this department with continued engine lights, overheating lights, etc. I was told that I had a cracked head gasket and that this was caused by a design flaw in the Ford Escapes in [protected]. I continued to contact my Ford dealership for help with this issues as I needed transportation to work, etc. and again I was told they knew nothing of the design problem and could offer no help. I experienced expense in diagnosing the problem, many trips back and forth and at one time I had my Escape towed to prevent any other damage to my engine. I believe that Ford sent a notice to its service departments to watch for issues with these models and I have a copy of that notice. I recently purchased a 2021 Escape (and they are hard to come by) but am very disappointed in the Ford dealership here in Rapid City and had to purchase my new Ford from a dealership out of the city. I incurred a variety of expenses and much frustration in the course of these issues. I would be happy to provide further details but this was a lengthy process and occurred over the course of the end of May to the end of June.
Paint peeling from window driver panels
The paint from my 2017 blue Ford Escape has begun to completely peel off in chunks on the front windshield panels. This began in the top corner and has now spread down the panel sides. This car is 4 years old and I find this completely unacceptable, Ford is also refusing to do anything. They will not stand by their products, they will not fix this issue, and it is completely ridiculous.
Desired outcome: Ford pays for a complete repaint of the car
2016 ford escape
Plastic bushing that holds on the transmission cable broke resulting in the engine to stop running and the transmission to lock up, ford had a recall on [protected] ford escape's and fushion's for this same problem, you would think ford would be smart enough to not use the same part they had a recall on, the same day my bushing broke, my neighbors broke on his 2018 ford fushion
Desired outcome: Ford pays my repair bill $700
Paint peeling around the windshield!
I noticed the paint was peeling around the driver side of my windshield back in May and wish I had that repaired and to my surprise the right side peeled after getting a car wash at a Ford Quick Lane. I also noticed that the paint is peeling from the top of the windshield is well. I researched on the Internet and to my surprise there are millions of 2017 Ford escape owners that have the same issue. My question to four is why haven't you are declared this a recall? I am considering filing suit against four because I refuse to keep paying the car note where the paint is peeling.
Desired outcome: New Paint job
Paint peeling from my 2017 Ford Escape
Last year, 2020, I noticed the paint peeling off the driver's side pillar around the windshield. At that time I still had a little warranty left over but still ended up paying $500.00 to the Ford dealership where the vehicle was purchased. They painted the whole left side of my vehicle. Now a year later and I've noticed that the SAME THING is happening on the passenger side! I am so frustrated as in speaking with the dealership once again, I will now need to pay $580.00 for the right side to be done. This is NOT RIGHT! I purchased this vehicle brand new with only 25 miles on it and the last thing I thought I'd have to worry about would be the paint! I don't know about anyone else, but money don't grow on trees around me and what will I do if this happens AGAIN? I believe Ford needs to make this right as it's obvious not just one or two buyers have been affected by this and to pay hard earned money for this to happen is just BS!

Desired outcome: Recall on 2017 Ford Escape paint jobs
Same issue with my 2017
Paint
I am complaining about the aluminum hoods and the paint bubbling and then rusting. Ford has known about this problem for years and on several of their models.
My second complaint is the front and back bumpers on the blue 2009 Ford Mustang fade and crack due to another defect.
It would be nice if Ford would pay for the parts to be fixed. It seems like they sure are getting away with this because it is not a "safety" issue!
Well for all of those that this problem has happened to we won't be buying a Ford vehicle again and you can bet I will tell everyone I know not to buy Ford!
Do the right thing own up to your known mistakes - issues and take care of your customers!
Desired outcome: Fix my paint on bumpers and hood
Sync my ford touch update
May 2021..I learned that Ford had an update for my 2014 F150 sync my touch
May 2021..went to owner.Ford website for the download typed my VIN into system and downloaded the update on a usb storage device, following fords direction I installed the update on my system, After update completed my navigation wouldn't work!
I updated from version 3.8 to version 3.10.
July 12 2021..Contacted customer service, told them the problem, spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone, the guy was really trying to help me, after his help failed to fix the problem, he told me I would have to go to dealership to have them diagnose the problem, and have to pay out of pocket for the diagnostics and fix!
Desired resolution; Ford should fix this problem free of charge since the update was downloaded from their website and I followed Fords instructions to the letter!
Desired outcome: Fix for free
2013 Explorer XLT Power Transfer Unit Failure
Bought my Explorer in Dec of 2020. Took it in for a recall in Feb. It was putting off some obnoxious odors coming inside the cabin. I was told the recall would fix it. Two days later took it back to the shop because the smell was getting worse and was told the power transfer unit needed replaced. ( Smells like intense propane ) This vehicle had only around 105, 000 miles on it. After reading numerous forums I am not the only Explorer owner with this same problem. It is not a cheap fix either ! Ford needs to start a recall already and reimburse those who have had to fix theirs already. You pay a lot of money on a car and you expect it to last awhile before having to sink money into it. Always loved Ford :( Please fix my car !
