2011 Ford F-250 6.7 Power Stroke
Ford doesn't care about its customers:
In 2011 I purchased a new Ford F-250, 6.7 Power Stroke diesel truck. I just paid $18, 000.00 to replace the engine which failed due to a glow plug problem. Ford discovered a problem with their glow plugs in 2014 that effected 2011 & early 2012 F-250 and F-350 models. The glow plugs could have been replaced before the failure for approximately $200.00. My thinking is that upper management's greed was the cause of not notifying customers of this potential problem. As a Disabled Veteran, living on a fixed income, it would have been much easier for me to pay the cost of replacing the Glow Plugs rather than the long block engine.
My truck has always had all maintenance done at a Ford dealership. Ford Motor Corporation did issue a technical bulletin TSB 14-0127 on July 3, 2014. My service advisor at the dealership contacted Ford Customer Care, their response was they would not help with any repairs.
Desired outcome: I think Ford should pay for the repairs
2018 Ford Escape
Last week it was diagnosed that our Escape had Freon leaking in on the number 2 cylinder causing it to run bad and causing it to smoke. We tried to get an appointment the week before with 2 different dealerships that week. None could see us until the next week. By the time we got there we were 117 miles out of warranty. This was a known defect that Ford has known about for a long while. Why were we not ever notified of this. Also another week has passed that the Ford Dealership says they are waiting to hear back from y'all. We also bought an extended warranty when we purchased that would give us coverage to 80, 000 miles. We do not understand the holdup when it is a Ford defect. Questioning whether we should continue to buy Ford or not. We have been a Ford family for over 20 years. Thanks
Desired outcome: Engine replacement
Wheel Lugs
On June 29 2021 My wife Took my 2016 f-150 for my scheduled service at Taylor Ford in Taylor Michigan. The service includes rotating my wheels. I bought this service contact when my truck was new . It now has 95, 000 miles on it which means my wheels have been rotated several times. During the visit in which my wife took my truck the service manager showed my wife one of the wheel lugs which was deformed from being removed by an impact. She was told this deformed condition was caused by the heat from the wheels. I've been a heavy truck mechanic for 45 years and to this day has never seen heat from the wheels to deform the wheel lugs . I feel that Ford should replace all the lug nuts from the mechanics who remove and installed the lug nuts incorrectly. All the vehicle services were done at Ford Dealerships. If pictures are required for evidence feel free to contact me. Thank You Barry Morang.
Desired outcome: Dealership Replacement of All Lug Nuts
2019 F150
It is hard for me to believe Ford would put a shield on a 4-wheel drive pickup made from this material. It is a felt cardboard material held on by one screw and a metal clip on each of the mounting points. (see photo)
Make it out of plastic at least, or better yet a more durable material.
At this point I am really questioning the phrase Ford Tough?
Steve Nelson
Desired outcome: What ever a reputable company would do!

I own a 2013 Ford Explorer. Last week my Power steering went out and I am having to pay $2100 to get it replaced. I called about the Power steering recall but because of the month my vehicle was built the recall doesn't effect my vehicle. My steering did the same thing that is listed in the recall. VIN # is 1FM5K7D80DGC92945 Contact me at kimberly.r.decker3.[protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: Pay for repairs since the recall effected other 2013 Explorers. My Email address is kimberly.r.decker3.[protected]@gmail.com
2017 Ford Escape
In less than one minute I was able to locate over 100 people who had the an issue with Ford Paint Peeling on the 2017 Escape! Imagine how many more I could find if I spent more than one minute searching. Buyers beware! Ford is not backing the quality of their craftsmanship on peeling paint on the frame of windshield. In fact, they are refusing to allow me to speak with someone outside of the customer service rep. The vehicle has only 12, 000 miles and otherwise is like new. This appear to be a common problem with Ford Motorship and the Escape.
Desired outcome: Address the quality of your work and repair.
Paint peeling off car
I have a 2017 Ford Escape in blue as well, as i was cleaning my car today i noticed all my paint peeled off my driver side windshield and the passenger side is also peeling off as well. My car has 46000 miles i purchased my escape in January 2017 with 0 miles. I have been a long time ford customer as well, this is my 4th ford and its very sad and upsetting to hear we are all having the same issue. I also bought the extended warranty for my escape so my warranty does not expire till 01/2023 but extended warranty doesn't cover. Ford PLEASE do the wright thing and repair our cars its a manufacturing issue. Ford doesn't have a problem taking our money but when a manufacturing issue comes up ford doesn't want to take responsibility for there errors. I took my ESCAPE to a ford dealer in April 2021, the service desk employee took pictures of my car and said she will send to fords corporate and see if they will approve the paint repair issue. We are now in June 9 2021 and I'm still waiting for a response. The service desk employee stated to me that she's been getting lots of complaints about the 2017 Ford Escapes and every complaint she has sent in has been declined to be repaired. She stated I should start a lawsuit.
Desired outcome: I WANT FORD TO REPAIR THIS, ITS A MANUFACTURING ISSUE FORD DEALERS ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT STILL CONTINUE TO SELL THIS DEFECTIVE CAR.
Corrosion Warranty
In January 2019 the month my warrantee would expire - I phoned in before I booking my annnual service - telling her there is rust which they need to see before warrantee expires - she said no problem bring it in will be cheched when you have service done.
Needless to say after service they hand you keys reading off a form showing ticks on what all was done (also ticked off the rust check) - well I had to come back and show them rust - I have been sent back and forth to a body shop they use.
To this day I am still driving around with doors which I hope dont fall off soon
I had a long meeting with Service Manager and DP at Eastern Cape motors, a year later with my last service in 2020 - to no avail -( I was promised they would get doors for me - I have made many calls also sent many emails
I have a 2014 Ford Figo 1.4 Ambient - Vin MAJIXXMRJIDG42022
Desired outcome: 3 x New doors
2017 Ford Escape
I purchased my Escape in August 2020. About a month ago I noticed the paint peeling around the passenger side windshield. I've been to two body shops that told me it's a manufacturer defect. Apparently the windshield needs to be removed and replaced because the paint is peeling all around it. I'm reading other complaints about Ford Escapes and really think Ford Motor Co should address the issue. I left Chevrolet after having two vehicles have timing belt issues to buy a Ford. First vehicle I've ever financed and I'm heart broken.
Desired outcome: Repaint around the windshield without a cost to me
2015 Ford Escape SE Ecoboost
Vehicle has been experiencing issues since 130k with shifting. It started out as an less than smooth shift, then manifested a check engine light that would disappear. Then it morphed into issues occurring on both dec. and acc. which would cause a transmission fault indicator. Was notified of a service bulletin which included my vehicle year/make but the mileage had already expired. I have records of a full transmission service in the 90k range. The cost to repair exceeds the fair value of the vehicle and has put me in a pinch during these COVID times. If the vehicle fails 100% it'll be a very difficult time.
Desired outcome: Some kind of coverage with the repair costs (Hope for 100%, settle for 60%)
First page of the service bulletin.
I have a Service bulletin that covers the issue, but the issue results from a design malfunction. The cost to repair is a burden to the consumer and it was entirely out of the consumer's control.
defective engine part
I purchased 2018 f150 5.0 crew cab april 2021 70, 000 miles i have owned many f150 thru the years my last one lasted over 200, 000 miles no problems the f150 i have now has all highway miles and while driving 05/21/21 a valve spring broke the ford dealer said it will cost me between $900.00 and $3, 100.00 to repair i asked him what would cause a valve spring to break he said it could be a defect spring . I know the warranty is over at 60, 000 miles but with a factory defective spring i dont thing i should have to pay for the repair also what is to say there will not be more broken valve springs in the future the ford dealer i have my truck at is in ludington mi betten baker iam retired and cant afford these large repairs john baltruczak [protected] or [protected]@yahoo.com
Desired outcome: help with repairs

Peeling paint
I have a paid off 2017 Ford Escape titanium and the paint on the driver side of the windshield has completely peeled off! Very upset over this. It actually looks as if it is going to continue down.
It is approximately 18 inches long and approximately an inch wide.

2017 ford escape
I also have an issue of paint peeling on the windshield columns and also in the gap areas in the hood and fenders. My warranty did expire in Sept. in the middle of a pandemic during a lockdown. The dealer, Sunset Ford, denied that this was a recurring problem. I see it is happening quite often. My car has only 3500 miles on it and looks terrible. This is a manufacturing problem and should be addressed by Ford.

Took my car in for repairs Oct. 2020
Had it aligned and tires rotated as the front was cupping.
I'm a disabled veteran with TBI and didn't notice for a few hundred miles that they switched my tires side to side instead of front to rear. $18000 worth of michellins. Ever since I've had a vibration coming from the back.
Went in today and Joe Pratt laughed at me when I told him and I went off.
I have been a ford customer since 19073 and this Lincoln MKS I bought from my dad will be my last ford vehicle!
I know you're gonna stand up for your service manager so good lucki after I spread the word!

Desired outcome: Set of new tires that they ruined
Recall notice
I used to lease a 2012 ford fusion, which I turned in on feb 21, 2014. I keep getting recall notices on this vehicle and all attempts through customer service to stop them end up with the "federal law requires us to send monthly notices to the last known owner." but nobody seems to be able to figure out how to change that piece of information, because they claim it is supplied by some "unknown third party"
Guess what? I never owned that vehicle, it was and as far as I know (if it's even still on the road) owned by ford motor company>
Desired outcome: Removal of my name from your list as the owner of this vehicle.

Paint peeling off running boards. Noticed before warrenty was up but forgot and went in when warrenty was 3 weeks past. Said truck supervisor would call me back with in 24 hours. Never happened. I have bought 7 new trucks and many used cars. This is the way ford treats loyal customers. Hurts me to look at dodge or chevy but will soon when I buy the next truck. Wade schwinefus. Desired outcome: Repaired or replaced running boards
Peeling paint on my 2017 blue Escape
5/10/21 I have a 2017 Escape, blue in color, that has paint peeling around the windshield. This is the second time this has happened, the first time was the passenger side and I have already paid to have that repaired, 9/21/20, and now, 8 months later, the driver's side is peeling. Case#[protected] is from the first incident. Also, I was without my vehicle for a week while it was being repaired the first time. My desired resolution is to have it fixed free of charge. I have owned fords all my life and I am totally disappointed and if this is not resolved, quickly and free of charge, I will not own another.
Desired outcome: I want it repaired for free, especially I paid a portion to have it fixed once already
2017 Blue Ford Escape Titanium Paint Peeling Around Windshield
05/07/21 Last week I noticed the paint peeling around the windshield on my 2017 Ford Titanium. I work at a dealership and the Body Shop Manager looked at it and said to take it to a Ford Dealer as it appeared to be a paint defect. Ford Dealership said not covered as my warranty has expired. There is clearly some kind of defect with the paint and Ford needs to take responsibility. I loved my Escape and had nothing bad to say about it, but if Ford won't stand behind their workmanship I will never recommend or purchase another Ford vehicle.
Desired outcome: Fix the peeling paint.
