F150 Chrome Rims Peeling
On 2/6/2023 we were getting new tires for our 2017 F150 truck and when removing the rims to install the new tires, the mechanic noticed the rims starting to flake everywhere. The chrome was literally peeling off the 4 rims. I later found out this is a known issue with these rims that Ford used on their trucks. I’m curious did Ford send out a communication to let Ford owners know about this issue? This was not a welcomed surprise! Now we have to replace the rims which are expensive after we just paid for 4 new tires! Is it possible for Ford to help with the cost of the new rims? I appreciate your consideration, thank you.
Desired outcome: Ford to pay for new rims.
Poor service at Ford Midrand, Gauteng
Good Morning Complaints Board,
Please note my displeasure with the kind of service received at Ford Midrand. I called in at their Service Department on Monday morning, 27th February, after I experienced a lack of power and sometimes like cutting fuel, especially on the incline, with my car. Luckily arrived at my destination. They informed me it is already late to take the vehicle in on Monday. And promised to take it in on Tuesday. And that Tuesday, I had to check-out at the Lodge and drive back to Polokwane as my meeting was on Monday. However, the company approved extension of my stay by another day. I left the vehicle with them to avoid being late with my check-out, but still received a call asking me why I didn't bring the car on time. Well, after responding that the car was left at the Dealership, the lady apologized and all is well. Later that day, I received SMS informing me that Ms Diandre Naidoo will keep me updated on the progress of the car. Still Tuesday, nothing said and nothing done. My company extended another stay at the lodge to Wednesday. And nothing was done until I made a sit-in on Thursday because the company could not pay for accommodation anymore and the children were also panicking as they are alone for a week now. I pleaded with the Technician to do the diagnosis and also the Test Drive to advise if I can risk driving the vehicle to Polokwane for assistance. And he was clear to say no assurance that I can arrive safely in Polokwane. And also an option to request assistance from the nearby Dealership was not there. I got a lift home but worried that I left the car back in Gauteng with no assurance that it will be attended to by when? Please intervene ASAP and advise on what redress will Ford have for me as I'm without a vehicle for a week now.
Regards

I took my Ford kuga 2018 plate to a Ford dealer Because my audio equipment was not working all I was told was that it needed a new sync module I had to pay for a diagnostic test for them to tell me ha that so I asked them if they could get me a replacement and they said that there was none in the country surely there muse be one somewhere it took it on Monday the 20th of march hope this helps
Desired outcome: A new sync module and my money back for my diagnostic test please
I had my truck taken to them for a blown head gasket there teke told me the EGR system needed plugged hr said he is would do it for 1500$ then calls and says the brand new turbo I had just put on from Napa was no good and he would sell me a used one for 500$ so I go to pick my truck up and the lady says sir I have no paperwork on your truck .I said it is right there I was told to come pay for it and get the keys.she said she knows nothing about it to go talk to the mechanic.he said yes it's done give me the money here are your keys I asked for my turbo and he had taken it home .I said I wanted it back it's brand new it only had 4hrs on it.he said ok he would bring it I could pick it up tomorrow.so I get my truck made it a block it locked up . So I call he sends a wrecker I go to pick my new turbo up and it wasn't the one I had bought from Napa it was so some dirty old turbo that come from AutoZone he stole my turbo any way even though this was done at the Ford dealership they in will not do anything to help fix truck this guy has had it like 5-6 times and it still does same thing it is locked up and can't drive it and he no longer works for them
2016 Ford Edge 2.0l Ecoboost Engine Defect
I purchased a 2016 Ford Edge with a 2.0L Ecoboost Engine. About 16 months after, it started to act really funny so I took it to the dealership. I found out that this engine was defective. Coolant was leaking into the cylinders and a new engine - the same type of engine - was the only was to fix it. I still owe $$ on it. I can't afford a brand new engine that would be more than half of the cost of the vehicle financing. I had to purchase another vehicle just to get to and from work. There's a civil case against Ford and this defect affects other models of Ford vehicles, including Escapes. Ford's solution was a bandaid - install coolant sensors to alert when coolant level was low - doesn't help the fact that the coolant is low BECAUSE of their defectively designed engine - the coolant is low because it's leaking into the engine.
Desired outcome: Ford to replace the engine or pay off the rest of my loan with punitive award for hardship and the second car I had to purchase. A recall. Something.
I have the same issue with the 2017 Ford Fusion that I purchased 18 months ago. I took to shop had the TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) done that cost me a ton of money. 5000 miles later doing the same thing now it is a new motor needed. I am upside down in the car and can't trade it in financially and just feel like I am screwed. Wish Ford would just recall and fix the issues or buy me out of the car so I can get something that will be reliable as right now the car is stalling when taking off causing a safety issue.
Red carpet lease
Ford Motor Credit made arrangements with me on my payment because I was a month behind as I was going through a divorce. I was within a couple of months of the end of my lease term. I was at work and the truck was repossessed. I tried to get it back but they kept adding fees to it. Then the dealer I leased it from ended up with it as they "bought" it under a subsidiary name at huge loss to me, then sued me for the difference. I literally owed them $1000 and they sued me for $12,000. I couldn't afford another attorney at the time and tried to fight it myself, but didn't know the "rules of discovery" and lost. I've been making payments ever since and their attorney offered me an opportunity to settle for $4000. it's all a scam, of course and a rotten way for Ford to treat a customer.
Desired outcome: I've paid more than enough, plus the customary bully tactics from their attorney for years now. I'd like this to be over.
My 2020 ford f-350 king ranch 6.7 diesel
So basically, it started when I bought the truck. I had problems with the transmission and the electrical system in the rear end, which were fixed in New Jersey the electrical system the transmission, however, was never address. They took the truck in for several times twice in New Jersey twice in Florida, and they had never fixed the problem until the point of me getting up on that and stopped paying the payments because I wasn’t going to pay $1700 a month for a truck that was broken. The leather on the steering wheel was also had to be repaired because it was falling apart. The warranty that I had his supposed to give me same day loan or no matter what and I only got a loaner one times and I was in Florida. I was informed that that’s in violation of my warranty rides for the truck. Also, the truck was basically lemon and nobody help me at four to divert the payments other than one time one of the times I paid out of pocket $2000 to have the truck shipped to New Jersey then supposed to be fixed and then I had to pay out-of-pocket again another $2000 dollars to have it shipped back down to Florida and still the problem is not solved during that trip to New Jersey my truck, the brand new vinyl wrap on the outside of the truck was damaged and they lost one of my keys
Desired outcome: Payback damages for the property to the driveway of money back for inconvenience and me paying for the truck to go to New Jersey back-and-forth and something back for all of the payments that I made to the truck that was broken
2016 Ford Flex
I purchased a 2016 Ford Flex SEL about 3 years ago with around 30k miles on it. Has been a good vehicle as far as problems go, have had almost none until this year. Almost made it to 100k miles right around 98k and went to the car wash to clean a few mats for work. Took them out cleaned them put them back in the car and went to leave and nothing no start. A tow truck tried to jump it and it was draining his jump box. Checked the battery with a tester, said there were only 8 volts with the positive terminal connected. Took the terminal off and battery had 12 volts.
Had a shop that deals with car electrical issues check it out, they determined that the BCM was bad. So now without a car because of this part so I called the Ford dealership we purchased the vehicle from to see about getting a replacement after learning these parts have to be programmed to the vehicle. They had no good news, in fact they could not say when there could be a replacement for it anytime in the near future, so that makes it real hard to do much.
Any place that can repair the unit if possible give an estimate of between 250 and 600 dollars depending on if it can be repaired. Waiting on information back from a place, so hopefully will have some good news by time it makes it to bring a month of no car that I'm still making payments on and can't use. I've owned 6 different Ford vehicles from 1992 to this 2016 and this has been by far the most ridiculous situation with any of them I've experienced and will play a role in my decision on which brand to get in the future.
Desired outcome: I'm not asking for anything for this message but wouldn't refuse anything that the company would offer to help a long time customer be less stuck between a rock and hard place with no wheels to get around. Thank you
2021 ford bronco outer banks
On December 23, 2022, I attended to start my bronco, only to find out that the vehicle was in shut down mode, and would not run. Upon inspection I found that squirrels had gotten into the motor and began eating away at specific parts of the wiring harnesses. I reported this issue to my insurance company unsuccessfully, scheduled a service and took it to the Ford dealer. $2000 3 weeks later I received it back. I drove it the next day after inspecting and everything seemed OK. But on the second day I found the exact same issue with chewed up wiring harnesses from squirrels while it was parked in my driveway again. I was told by the dealer, that they sprayed a couple deterrence to stop the issue, However it was going to be hit or miss as there were only one wiring harness replacement made of soy which causes the squirrels to repeatedly chew it up.
Desired outcome: Financial compensation having to have to pay for this twice now. I’m hoping that Ford has come up with an alternative to the soy based wiring harness that they use. Or at least some sort of solution.
I have a 2019 Ford Taurus having problems starting. It wants to crank over but doesnt. I have had 2 fuel pumps replaced, O2 and MAP sensors and had it in the shop 6 times. They fix one thing..HAHAHA and within two weeks or two months, the same thing happens. NO start but will crank.
Does anyone have a clue what is happen and why or should I just junk it? My email is fclymer2004@yahoo.com if you have any advise.
Ford motor company points
I have a 2019 Ford Festiva it only has 1400 miles because I have been ill three brain tumor surgeries and I couldn't drive. I took my vehicle in for maintenance and the bill is 430.00. It's at Ford in Cranston I don't have the money to pay. They took away my points which would have saved me 200.00! I called them and explained I couldn't drive. They said too bad you should have used them They treated me horrible. I have never been late for a payment and get treated like that! Why won't they give me my points back They have given other people their points back
Desired outcome: I want my points back so I can drive to doctors visits
Ford resolved my issue thank you Ford
2018 ford escape titanium white 35k, paint peel windshield
Guys had the driver side done by the dealer I bought it new from. Now the passenger 6 months later and they won’t work on it any further, took it to fairway Ford in Greenville Sc second attempt. 2 month later won’t work on it either. This is my 5th and final escape, this should not happen and reading online this is a factory defect with the 100s of issues I’m seeing just like mine when white and blue on these guys. Now I’m seeing there is an issue with your paint process and a tsb?
Desired outcome: Would like the paint fixed back to what it should be
Juettner motors
I drove my car there (juettner motors in alexandria mn) to get new instrument cluster programmed to car and after having my car over 3 hrs longer than supposed to they pushed the car out no longer starts and they are unwilling to fix it. They don't take any responsibility, I had to pay to tow it 35 miles home, they erased my keys programming so the car is junk. They said they programmed the key, liars 2 keys are needed for that and I only had 1. They victim blame. Blaming it on the starter, transreceiver, wiring... When any person can see they triggered the pats security system by the flashing light and code 15 (key not programmed to car). They are rude, incompetent and down right liars and thieves.. And the best part.. They told me to take it to a mechanic! I replied.. Thought that's what I did but apparently not.. Drove car there, towed it home.. Now it's junk they should pay to get new keys cut and programed to car! And the manager knows nothing when I talked to him all he could say was I don't have a answer for that.. Take responsibility!
Desired outcome: I want keys cut and programmed so my car will start so i can sell it... If they did nothing wrong why didn't i get any paperwork or a bill? First and last ford
2017 F150 Frozen door locks
Every time the temperature drops into mid 20s and lower my front door locks freeze up. This means I have to climb into the back and over the seats to operate the vehicle. I've even had to drive holding the door closed manually. Wven though ford is aware if the issue, because its been "addressed " already no dealer will take anymore action. 4 different service places have not fixed the issue at this point
Desired outcome: Doors that work in the winter
2022 Ford Mach-E
Purchased the 2022 Ford Mach- E on January 8th 2023. And for the past three weeks in to the new year of 2023, I have experienced random security alarm alerts, sounds, and notifications from the Ford Pass app, and vehicle several times in a day. There hasn’t been any indication of theft or intrusion. I have to keep hitting the fob lock button, or use the...

My 2017 Ford edge started having problems November 2021 and spent four weeks getting the engine replaced for coolant intrusion then as soon as I picked it up it continue to run rough but the company assured me everything was fine. I had a trip booked right around Christmas And on my way home from my 110 mile drive my car lost all power steering and back in the shop. It went this time couldn’t make it to the previous shop so I had to take it to a different shop then I brought it home. I have had at home since just after Christmas , and now here it is almost the end of January and my vehicle’s check engine light is on and off again and I have the same codes from the coolant intrusion and it’s running rough terribly bad.
Desired outcome: I would definitely appreciate a response
2018 Ford Escape, Paint peeling all around the front Windshield, so far!
The paint is flaking and peeling around the front windshield on all sides. I have called your company about this and they have told me to take in to look at it at my nearest dealership. I did and Ford Co. refuese to take ownership! This is clearly a manufacturing defect! You won't own up to it and expect me to believe that the area I live in is causing this problem. Bullcrap. Since when are vehicles made for certain areas depending on the climates? You have paint that is made for certain climates? WOW! I will not stop posting or getting this out to all Americans until you own up to it and issue a recall. I will go to my local news people and they would love something like this! The truth about Ford Company putting out CRAP!
Desired outcome: Fix my vehicle and others out there that are having the same issue. I have quite a few people with the same issue and I know there is MORE out there!
2022 F-250
BLUF - Countless wasted hours on the phone with Ford Motor Company (FMC). I purchased a 2022 F-250, the vehicle i purchased has NUMEROUS safety, maintenance, and mechanical concerns. It has been in the shop numerous times in an attempt to have these issues addressed. NOTE: 4+ times in the shop for the same concerns. To no avail, they still exist. I've placed several calls to FMC, to date no resolution.
Because I purchased my truck in SC but registered it in NC the so called "Lemon Laws" doesn't apply. Again, another "loophole" for FMC to get on board with. Ford has basically told me to deal with it, absorb the cost of trading and eating the depreciation despite the safety and maintenance concerns. They aren't going to do ANYTHING TO ASSIST ME.
My recommendation: Stay away from Ford products. They DO NOT and WILL NOT stand behind their product especially if it's sub-standard.
Desired outcome: Desired outcome: Take responsibility for substandard vehicles you all are providing to the consumer. Make it RIGHT, make it. SAFE.
2014 ford f150 fx4 3.5 V6
My truck stopped on me 1/11/2023 I was sitting at a stop light and the light changed to green I went to accelerate it started to move then began to sputter and died. I had it towed to the local Frankfort Ford that evening. I received a call from them Monday morning at 8:47am I wasn't able to reach them until 9:12 am. It was then explained to me that Ford had contacted the dealers about a fuel system electrical issue. The fuse powering the fuel module and fuel system was underpowered, the fuse and fuel module were bad and needed to be replaced. I was also told that the battery needed to be replaced. I told them to fix the vehicle but do not replace the battery because it was under warranty from where the battery was purchased. After picking up the vehicle I have ran two checks on two different machines and the charging system is functioning fine and the battery has tested good.
Desired outcome: This is a problem Ford knows they have, and it should be recalled, and I should be refunded what I have paid for the repair. I was greatly inconvenienced during this time.
after feeling vibrations and slippage I was told by the mechanic at Frankfort Ford that the drive shaft needed to be replaced because it was rusty. That didn't sound quite right to me because all drive shafts are rusty unless it is new and out of the elements. After having it replaced and also watching multiple videos of certified Ford mechanics on my issue the new driveshaft did not fix my problem. I have sense replaced the rear axle which was bad, and I still have the same issue. I looked at the new driveshaft and it looked exactly like the one that was removed except for the stick still on the shaft. which told me that this driveshaft had been sitting in the elements as well. This part did not need to be replaced and was only replaced based upon the mechanics recommendation's.
Ford Motor Credit
I sold my 2020 Ford expedition to a dealer, the account number is [protected]. I needed to show my mortgage bank that it was paid in full. I paid the FMC 23012.50 by ACH. The dealer wired the same amount to FMC on 12/21/22 (never telling me that they were going to do that). FMC accepted my payment on 12/22/22. WHY DID FMC ACCEPT MY PAYMENT FOR THE SAME AMOUNT ON THE SAME VEHICLE ? I have been calling FMC for weeks and have been told "its under investigation" "your check is being mailed in a week"" we have to make sure your 'check' does not bounce" (I paid over the phone an ACH) and on and on. The dealer I sold the vehicle to was sent the clean title on 12/22/22. SO I do not have the title, the car, and I am out 23012.50! FMC is leaving me no choice but go to the local TV station and go public with this! AND no one from Ford Motor Credit has ever gotten back to me!
Desired outcome: I want my money refunded to me ASAP, and it should be with interest and an apology !!!!
2018 Ford Escape and the paint is peeling all around the front windshield. I have filed a report and they won't do anything about it. They refuse to own up to it. They have told me well it's peeling because of where you live. What a bunch of crap. Oh did I buy a car that was not suppose to be for Texas. LOL! I was not aware that they make vehicles for certain climates! Ford will not own up to a factory mistake. I have lived in Texas all my life and all the vehicles I have owned have never done that.
Buyer beware on Ford vehicles. They don't make them like they use too! They are putting out cheap crap.
Faulty disc brakes on 2022 bronco sport
My brakes squeal every time I leave the garage and leave excessive brake dust on my wheels and the car body.
This unit has 6000 miles on it and my Ford Dealer in Sparta, WI claims the faulty brakes are NOT covered under warranty. The stated they have seen this issue and offered to correct the problem by installing new ceramic brake pads for $250.00 at MY EXPENSE.
Bull, I think Ford should cover the replacement un warranty!
Desired outcome: Install new ceramic brakes at no charge to me.
Transmission part on backorder
I own a 2014 Ford Focus SE. I have been without my vehicle for almost THREE MONTHS due to a transmission part being on backorder. Back in September, I started my car and shifted into reverse and the car would not move. I noticed my check engine light was so obviously there was an issue. I then had the car towed into the dealership. Usually, I don't have to pay but since i moved further away, and the warranty only covers $100, I paid an extra $50. Once my car was dropped off, I was told that I would need to approve a $248 diagnostic fee, which was very confusing since i had never had to approve a diagnostic fee. Thinking I had to pay after asking the service person what this meant, I was given a clear explanation. As a result, I had the car towed back to my home, paid another $50. Then I tried going the route of having a mechanic within the network fix my vehicle and just pay the $100 deductible. However, I was advised only two towing services covers every 7 days, so I had to wait another week. I located a mechanic that was very close, to avoid paying any additional money, however, i still ended up paying an extra $30 since inflation cost have made these services more expensive. We are now up to $130 in tow fees, and I was also going another week without a vehicle. Also, the network auto mechanic diagnostic fee was $170 which after it was explained, would be covered by the warranty. Once the auto mechanic verified which took them 2 days with the warranty, they informed me that my car would have to be serviced at the dealership! Because of this, I had to not only tow the car towed back and pay $50, but I also had to pay the diagnostic fee! I didn't have the money at the time, so I had to wait another week since the mechanic held my car for no reason! No here we are almost three weeks without a vehicle I'm still paying on. I was finally able to pay the diagnostic fee and the tow. All of this was completed, only to be told that there is part on backorder and haven't had my car since October. I have constantly checked and I'm still not getting any answers. This is absolutely ridiculous, and Ford needs to be held accountable!
Desired outcome: A full refund of $350 (that includes the towing fees and the unnecessary diagnostic fee). Also maybe offer a buy out of my vehicle.
