Items paid for - delivery not upheld!! No communication from game!!!
I am having the most horrible experience with Game online. I purchased a washing machine and fridge online all paid for 28th March 2022. The expected delivery timescales were 5-7 days. It is noted on the website that if there is a delay with the items and it cannot be delivered within the 5-7 days timescale Game will contact the consumer and inform them of the delay and the reason behind this. By Monday the 04 April 2022, I had heard nothing and my online account showed order in process. So I called the online customers services, the agent I spoke to informed me that this has not been dispatched as yet and he is not sure why, but he will submits an escalation for the items to be delivered. I further informed him that I had done the purchase and worked around the delivery times so that I could get off from work to wait for this delivery and that the items must be delivered by Wednesday, if not they need to communicate and let me know. Wednesday 06th April 2022, morning I checked my online account and find its still in dispatched status, so I followed up again on Wednesday at 8:44am, the lady said to me, its with the couriers and she will try to call the courier company whilst I hold. She returns telling me she cannot get a hold of the courier company, she will make a note and escalate the matter taking into consideration that I had sold my old fridge knowing that this order will be delivered latest Wednesday and that I would not be able to take any more time off from work to await this order. I asked that she have this escalated and she said she will, I asked what is the turnaround time for someone to contact me, she advised that someone will get in contact with me before the day is over. at 12:00pm on Wednesday so I called in again, I spoke to the same lady Valencia, and asked her why no one has called she informed me that she raised the matter and will follow up. I asked her to please verbally inform her senior management team of my situation and the urgency of getting the fridge delivered considering my circumstances, I told her I expect that someone would get back to me in the next hour, she said yes and I ended the conversation. There was no communication from Game for the rest of the day on Wednesday and certainly no delivery. I called again on Thursday morning 07 April 2022 and spoke to a lady by the name of Valencia, she informed me that the washing machine is out on delivery but not the fridge. As one can imagine the frustration levels that set in as at this point the item that I need the most was not going to be delivered, I asked her what the issue was and she said theres no stock. I then said to her that when I purchased this item there was stock availability hence why I purchased it and paid for it so why is there no stock, and why am I being told 11 days later that this is the case, when I call in. I asked her why Game did not communicate this to me, or updated the portal or send an email, and why didnt the two consultants that I spoke to during the week not tell me that this item is not in stock. She apologised for their errors. I stated that this is not going to help me considering the situation I am in and asked to speak to a manager. I told her that they should consider swapping the fridge for the same size, at the same cost and having this delivered to me by Friday as I need this. I said that I cannot afford to do a refund now, as the refund process is too long and I cannot afford the wait. She told me yes the refund process is long. So I again said, please get the fridge swapped, she then says she will make the notes on the system. I said to her I cannot sit around waiting for someone to read the notes, and want to speak to a manager. I was not surprised that after putting me on hold, no manager was available as she was in a meeting, the manager asked Phelokazi to tell me that she does not know when they will get stock of the fridge I purchased, and that she does not know if she can get the fridge swapped they will escalate it and the person dealing with my query will let me know if this can be swapped. So yet again and other solution to assist me clearly couldn't be looked at, the manager couldn't be asked to take my call, or try and give me alternatives to sort the problem out. I informed Phelokazi that there are many stores in the area I live in, can they not get one she says they are still checking. I still said to her that this item is currently still on line selling now at a cheaper price and showing as available, so why can I not get my fridge. Again I said to her it appears that Game is just misleading its consumers into believing that certain items are available, get the consumer to pay and then let the consumer wait, without bothering to let them know whats going on. So every question I asked about this fridge and why I have not been kept in the loop has not been answered, I have been misled into believing that both my items will be delivered latest Wednesday 06 April 2022. I have been misled on the availability of the product. And I have been misled into thinking a massive store of this nature will communicate with me regarding any delays. I have lost time off from work, and about to have all my food items spoiled due to this. And no one at Game seems to be able to assist me. There is no complaints department, no complaints number, there is no other way of me getting in touch with someone higher to assist me. Basically I am now expected to just sit around until someone at Game decides to assist me. They have my money, but cannot deliver on what they have promised and have left me in a worse of situation, because they are unable to provide me with a level of duty and care and skill that I require as a customer. At the time of sending this review, still no call and no delivery.

Extended Warranty
I purchased a microwave in 2018 and added an extended warranty, the microwave now has a defect, I've waited 21 days and was issued with a slip that states it will be replaced when arriving at the store I'm told it's 6 weeks because it's an extended warranty. When the warranty was sold to us we were not informed of the 6 weeks because it's an extended warranty. Meaning the sales people at Game Carnival was not compliant, extremely pathetic and digusted by the situation, I will never recommend the extended warranty or game stores
Desired outcome: I would like a replacement or my microwave by this weekend
Purchase of a Samsung A03 Core cellphone on Monday 21 March 2022
i bought the above mentioned phone at Galleria Mall and put on a screen protector and bought a new casing as well. I started using the phone and realized that something is wrong as the pictures in the gallery are dark and I really can view the videos on my Amazon Prime App as it is very dark.
All the settings on the phone was checked but there was no change to the quality of the videos and pictures.
I decided to go to the closest Game store to me, which is Game Riverside Mall, Shelly Beach on 23 March 2022 to complain about the quality of the phone’s settings and I was turned away! I told them that this problem is reported within 5 days of buying the phone and they must assist and was told I should go all the way back to Telepage in Port Shepstone which is the local Vodacom branch for repairs to all phones. I was very unhappy when I left the store as I even tried to show them on one of the store’s phones that there is a problem but since the phone was not connected to a server it did not help at all.
I visited Telepage the same day and even their technician could not repair or adjust the quality of the photos and video and I was informed this is a setting error and was referred back to Game to replace the phone. I told them what the attitude of Game was and was advised to complain to the Consumer Board.
I reported the matter to Game Stores online on 24 March and did not receive any reply from them even after I sent a follow up email on Friday 25 March 2022.
As prosecutor I can’t struggle with a phone and I need a dual sim phone! I receive a lot of information in the form of videos and photos on my phone and when I want to relax I watch movies on the Amazon Prime app. I paid good money for this phone and it does not function the way it should. It was also never disclosed that there are setting defects with the phone to enable me to make an informed decision if the phone would be suitable for my needs or not.
This issue should be addressed NOW and I want my money back! I am not supposed to struggle like this to have the phone replaced as there is clearly a setting problem which can’t be fixed by myself or a technician. The dark area across the screen is also unusual and unacceptable for a brand new phone!

Vacuum Cleaner
From 28th January I sent my vacuum cleaner in for fixing. Extended warranty so now they don't care or bother. I went to the store three weeks back and the lady at customer service at [protected]@ carnival Game said that I will get a call by that Friday. No call. I am done Game, I want my vacuum cleaner back. What kind of service is this. So long for a repair for a pump that keeps going in that machine. Its been more in service then it has been with me to work in the last 4 years. Kindly advise of the way forward. Its already over the limit for a repair, then you should rather refund me and keep your broken machine. From the 16th of March the person on the twitter account has been referring the matter to the store but still no reply. Why does it take this long? I go to the store customer service is on lunch for 3 hours and no one else can assist me.

Hisense 18kg washing machine
We purchased this machine on 29 May 2021.
In August the machine stopped working.for the last 6 months hisense has been sending a tech to fix the machine.yesterday they sent the tech to change the gearbox.and the machine is still not working today.last week I told hisense that I don't want this machine as it stopped working 3 months after purchase.i don't want them to send the tech again I want game to change my machine or give me a refund and I don't want to deal with hisense.i bought the machine from game so game must deal with hisense.please come back to me asap as it costs me to sent my laundry to the laundromat everytime this machine stops working.
This is going on for 6 months and I want this sorted out asap so plz ask a manager to sort it out for me.

Today, 11.3.2022 was the worst experience ever at Game Stores Pmb which i will never want to shop at again! I had a repair that was matked urgent and was told to come in they will credit me as the product was confirmed to be credited by the supplier. I stood there 45 min waiting for the top manager Me Smith to address me, he kept on brushing me off telling the lady and gentleman in customer services stories everytime they called him to address me. I want you Mr Smith to know that your manners arw pathetic and disgusting. Eventually telling them to refund me doesn't change the fact that you wasted my time which you cannot refund. I take my hats off to the guy that helped me calmly and to Rose who was such a star in handling it. I except feedback directly from you Mr Smith NOT anyone else!

Delivery of a Fridge
I bought a fridge online and paid for it same time 10 days ago but it has not been delivered . their customer care is also useless because they never give me any valuable feedback all they can say is that i should wait but until when ?.

A fridge was bought by my uncle for my Mom at Game Polokwane mall of the North on the 2nd March 2017 it has five years warrantee, we also paid for extended warranty on the product
The fridge was fixed several times but almost every after 6 to a year it stops working.
It was fixed two weeks back again, after a day it stopped working. We called the technician who advised that it must be switched on which we did, then the following days it defrosted again.
I am afraid that after the extended warranty we will be stuck with a fridge that is not working.
I feel like the problem of this fridge was suppose to have been resolved after they came to fix it the second time, it really shows that there is something wrong with the fridge that the technician failed to raised with Game stores.
Only 3 people are staying in the house were the fridge it, so we cannot balme it on the traffic of opening or closing the fridge.

I was suppose to receive my freezer which I purchased on friday last week on monday or tuesday late afternoon the delivery guy calls and says they don't have any deliveries in my area he will come on wednesday today.. Firstly I took off monday and tuesday and today because "they didnt have any deliveries in my area.. 2nd I have just received my freezer they unboxed it infront of my door and when they left I asked them and what about those rubble outside my door and the guy said keep it and rushed off. 2 years ago I also had a bad experience with one of your appliances the service is become poor and poor each and every time.. Not a happy customer. Will be my last purchase with you guys

I would like to provide feedback on service and customer delivery at Game store Worcester. Never have I experienced such poor. Rude and uniformed service from sale agent Malcom at the electronics department. I purchased a Hisnese fridge in 30/01/2022 no product yet received. With numerous calls. 4 in stoor visits no feedback or product delivery. This sales man is so rude, arrogant and disrespectful that I will be lodging a formal complaint at hello Peter and publish on all relevant social media. My discomfort and additional costs to travel back and forth 4 times all relevant cell ozone calls with no response.
Desired outcome: Immediate action to provide my product paid for and compensation for all calls and travel in regards to this.
Item not delivered
I placed an order for a barbell rod and a single 2.5kg weight on Tuesday, 18th January 2022. That Friday, the weight was delivered - but no barbell rod (the expensive part of the order).
Since then, I have phoned Game customer service three times. Each time I am put on hold which burns through my airtime. I am then told that they will contact their dispatcher and get back to me. I have also emailed three times, just to be told that they will contact the dispatcher and get back to me.
It has been three weeks since my order was placed. No progress has been made, no refund offered and no follow up.
Desired outcome: Deliver my order or refund me.

I bought a tv at game on 20/01/22 on the following day the tv had a crack so we returned it. The manager did not even want to see reason cause I can not buy a R5000 TV and it does not last for 24hrs the only thing I did with the tv was to drive to my house it never fell and there is no sign of pressure on the screen. The manager did not refund and the warranty he never cared about it he told us he showed us the tv before we left the store it had no crack but thats not the point. What about the warranty on the tv or am I missing something. I will be reporting game to hello peter

Lawnmower and customer care and after service
I bought a lawnmower from Game Vaal on the 5th of January and it was used for the first time on the 8th and it almost immediately broke down, we returned it to the store on the 10th, we were informed that it will be sent for repairs, after we didn't get any feedback from the store and we keep phoning with no help telephonically we drove to the store on the 17th, we live in Deneysville and have to drive all the way to Vanderbijlpark this is now the 3rd time, upon us arriving at Vaal mall they followed up and we were informed that we have to pay for the repair, so my question is what [censored]ty products do you sell, I will also complain with the consumer Ombutsman and I will post on hello peter, after wasting my time with no help from your staff I did the payment for the repairs, on Friday the 21st, however I don't see why I must pay for a brand new machine and the piece of [censored] sold to me broke down first time I use it, Now the machine is fixed on Friday I followed up with the repair company, on Sunday again I visited the store to get feedback as you don't get any assistance telephonically, I then had to supply them with all of the documents for them to follow up, On Monday I phoned once again and now the lawnmower was picked up by the courier company, now its Wednesday and still no one can give me an answer on when my lawnmower will be here for me to once again have to drive to Vanderbijlpark for collection. I can promise you if this is my experience I do believe all customers have this experience and all the costs I have buying a new lawnmower for Game, I will never again in my live buy anything from your store again, the costs I have had to cover for this is about and additional R1800 and I had to pay for gardening services as my lawn was overgrown, I will also advice everyone I know of my experience and advice not to buy from your store.

My husband and I were in Game Canal Walk on Friday 21st January 2022 at about 18:00 we were waiting in the queue for about 10 minutes, only 4 tills of the 10 were manned and only the person at till 1 was helping customers, I asked if any of the other would be able to help customers, they just flat out ignored me and carried on chatting to each other, my husband went to the office but was also ignored because the person there was on a personal call and pretended not to see him. We left the items we wanted to purchase and walked out, we will never go back there ever again. I think management should be held responsible as he or she is setting the example for the staff to be incompetent and lazy. With unemployed so rife why doesn't head office employ people who want to work? When I look at the other complaints lodged this seems to be a general problem though out all the Game stores in SA

Hi,
Bought fridge on 02/12.2021.
Fridge delivered on 09/12/2021.
Delivery team dropped my fridge and broke it and refused to take it back immediately.
They brushed me off and started unpacking frigde.

Trustworthy is not an adjective I would use to describe anything GAME.

Voucher not received/poor customer service
I purchased Samsung washing Machine that was on promotion that you receive a voucher amount of R 3000.00 from Game Store at Westgate mall on 27.11.2021, to date I have not received the Voucher. we were provided with what's up number [protected] and [protected] to send proof of purchase and the washing machine serial number as well as the copy of my identity document which I did and also went to the store whereby I was assisted by Mpho to upload the documents. following this process we then went to the store for more than 8 times for the voucher and the Samsung sales lady at Game Store in Westgate Mall called their office and I was advised that I will receive the voucher pin to be used via the sms that was last week Tuesday and to date I have not received it. On Saturday, 15.01.2021 I again went to Game Store to complaint but nothing was done about it and was told to leave and that Mpho (Samsung sales lady) will contact me and it never happen.
Game Store at Westgate mall does not care about customers and TCF principle does not apply to their store.
Please assist.

I write this letter with so much disappointment and frustration at the same time. Last year in february l bought a samsung sound bar and in november of the same year the subwoofer stopped working, l then went to the store in december to have the unit fixed as its under warranty, l was however turned back as suppliers were already closed so l was told (spent my festive season without music). In january of this year l went back and dropped the sound system. This afternoon l received a call from the suppliers/fixing department to tell me that my subwoofer was struck by lighting and its not covered under warranty. How does 1 get to such a conclusion that my subwoofer out of all electrical appliances l have was struck by lighting and that this is not covered by samsung. One would go an extra mile to buy a reputable brand in a reputable store with hopes that their money would not be swindled and the unit gives in within a year after being purchased. Please give me a resolution from your side as l will not take this lightly as a paying customer. L will need my samsung subwoofer repaired and I will not pay for it. No delivery, no refund, horrific customer support
On 12th December, I ordered a speaker from Game for son's Christmas present. They confirmed that it would be delivered in 7 days.
On about the 15th I started getting worried as I still hadn't received a tracking number, so I phoned their call center. I was told that it hadn't been collected from Game yet. I was promised a follow up call back this never happened.
A few days later I called back. Again, was told that it still hadn't left game and that they would find out what was going on and call me back. This never happened.
On the 21st of January, the speaker still hadn't been delivered, so I sent an email to their customer care to cancel the order and request a refund. I have not been refunded to date.
On the 5th of January, I got a confirmation email to say that the speaker had been delivered. We were away at the time and nobody was home. The item was definitely not delivered.
On the 6th of January, emailed their customer care again to explain the situation and to date have not heard back and my money has not been refunded.

29th December 2021 ive done 2 seperate orders almost immediately after each other, i received confirmation that delivery will be done in 7days and a tracking number will be issued, which never came
3 January 2022 i called nto customer care to enquire about tracking number, they couldnt pick up the one order but assured me it will be sorted
6 January i call customer care once again as i still haven't received any order or tracking number and the orders i placed were stationery for an initiative we were having the following week for underprivileged kids
13 January i called as the event was the following day and i had no stationery delivered and i didnt want to be faced with egg all over my face at the event
Requested to speak to management as no one had a clue as to whats happening, spoke to Lee Jacobs the manager and he assured me he will get back to me with feedback the next day(which never happened)
19 January called back again and requested to speak to Lee Jacobs, was told he would return my call.. Which again never happened
23 January i emailed customer care again, only to receive a reply via email that due to covid deliveries will take a bit longer than norm so to speak.. Thats just pathetic excuses and no customer ethics.. Your customer care is pathetic and non existence, your consultanats and management is either nonchalant or incompetent (spoke to about 10 different people including management) as no one seems to give a damn.. I will take my money elsewhere moving forward and i will make sure my family and friends does too..
