I worked at the Searcy AR store for 3 years. I was told i was going to be let go because of my attendance. I had missed work but, had doctors note for thoses days. Was told "in the handbook it doesn't matter". I worked in textiles and hung my 700 per day and truck and donor door, while others that worked in textiles never got 700 per day. While i was let go because of my attendance, you have a manager who goes out in the parking lot to her vehicle and takes a shot of moonshine that she brought and goes back to work. A manager that has me hang a sweater on my rack so she could buy it for a coworkers kid. We had a safty manager let me say that again a SAFTY MANAGER they left the front door unlocked all night and was not even reported. Managment who "fudge" the quta numbers so it looks like we hung 1462 per day. I am not a disguntled ex employee at all. I have freinds that still work there and this is not fair or right to be treated like this. Managment does not care about the employees. I know nothing will ever been done to managment because it like they are above us low on the totem pole. I am thankful I am out of there and have a wonderful job that I like going to and the managment treats you like family. Thank you for your time and have a good day.

It is really frustrating to have a good friend who suffers a disability. It's even more frustrating when that person goes to an interview with your organization, is promised employment and then they change their mind because of what? I don't know to be exact other than an industry whose primary focus is supposed to be helping the disabled and downtrodden...

This manager has banned me and my caregiver for asking about a return. I feel this is because this manager is my granddaughter who I had to evict from my home in October. Please look into this issue. This is a personal attack against me. Thank you for your understanding.. I and my care giver depend on this store. Sylvia McCormick [protected] or [protected]@gmail.com

Employee (thinking her name is Juanita) was extremely rude when a sign said all furniture was $1 and I was on my way up to the register and she was like ‘that's considered furniture but it's not $1'. When I asked her why, she said it's target and targets never $1. When I told her it didn't say that on the sign, she said she was taking all the signs down. A good manager would honor the sign to customers in the store.

Your employee Cherie walked up to me and told me she was not going to check me out. She did this very loud. She would not tell me the reason why. She then tried to tell me I was making a scene. I shop on your stores at least 4 times a week and I spend $300 or more everytime. I am a stylist and I exclusively shop in your stores for my clients. This is not...

Some of the employees are mean and many of them swear and say [censored] a lot. Some of them can get by with doing little of their work and still get bonuses and good reviews. Some people always get the day hours and have lower goals than others. Some people do not have to clean the dressing room while others have to do the dressing room all the time. The managers have favorites and will fire you if you complain about anything. If you do a good job you get punished and bullied.
customer service
On monday 11-4-19 customer waited one hour before store opened in freezing weather. Store opens at 9am and employees open the door that their co-worker (who just got there approx. 8:55am) is standing at before opening the door that the customer who waited 1 hour.co worker gets helped with all the expensive jewelry (three trays at time) while the customer...

I have supported your stores for over 40 years with purchases and donations. On September 3 2019 I Afterwent to your Clovis Calif Store. I have a bad shoulder. I saw Treadmill that I wanted to purchase. I asked employee to help me with it. He said ok but left . And never returned, After 10 minutes. I saw young woman. Which was the manager . I asked her for help. She referred me to the cashier. I purchased some furniture when I saw the cashier. I also asked for help. The cashier directed me back to the furniture so the employees good pull it for me. In which I did . The cashier called for someone. After 15 minutes I asked another employee for help. She got the same manger I talked with before . Who then said I had to back of the store and show them the receipt. I then grabbed the treadmill with my right shoulder in pain towards the front of the For the electrical outlet to see it it works . As I neared the front. And employee asked if I needed help. I told her she was to late and voiced my concerns. By the time I got to the front I was to angry to purchase the treadmill. I then went to
The back of the store to pick up my items I had purchased. By the time I drove back to the store I was livid. And I used profanity as they loaded my merchandise. The same manager came out and proceeded to till me to calm down. I asked for her supervisor phone number she gave me the wrong number. When I called back for the correct number . They placed me on hold . I called another goodwill store. I talked with the managers supervisor, And he said get back to me today in which he did after several attempts he called me @ 5 pm. I did not ask for anything but apology from the manager, Today when the supervisor talked with me he apologized to me for the managers actions. And said get an apology from the manager. And when I said I was going to complain higher up . He told me that he would ban me from your stores. I can not believe after 40 years Doing business with goodwill . That I was treated this way. Maybe I should support Salvation Army.
manager ellen
I am a current employee of Goodwill in Stamford, almost an hr into my shift I was told I was learning to sort and once she went home I had to finish sorting merchandise, I spoke to my manager Ellen in the office and just explained to her that I didn't feel comfortable working in sorting because of bedbugs problem, she says ok I can go back in the floor to recover for the rest of the night but she had to tell another manager (Karla) that I didn't want to sort. 5 mins later I get called to the office and was told I had to go home because I didn't want to sort, that was rude, and very unprofessional it's not fair that I got sent home because I'm worried about my safety I am not the only one who complains about bed bugs and it's not fair of the way she treated me and sending me home because of the conditions the store is in.
not permitted to return an unwanted item at the time of its purchase.
I purchased a set of King sheets that displayed (I thought) a price ticket of $14.99. After my items were rung up by the cashier, I noted that said sheets were actually $44.99. Close inspection of the ticket revealed that it was smudged leading to my "misjudgment" of the price. I was NOT prepared to pay this much for a set of sheets in Goodwill, or anywhere...

I was in the wytheville va store I go there alot my mom and I at least once or twice a week never had a rude employee well Friday the 9th of Aug there was three glass platters or large plates wrapped in clear wrap. 3.99 I told the cashier lady I only needed the largest one and could she separate they did not go together anyway I told her I didnt care about price I just didnt need the other two.. Her name was Nancy Hibbs she informed me very hateful and loudly that once an item is wrapped and priced they could not undo it.. I said why not. She said she did not have to explain it and would I just buy it or put it back on shelf.. I went ahead and bought all three. I asked to speck to a manager and she said she was the manager. I said well someone has to be over you . And I would like their name and the store managers name... She prodceeded in ringing up my elderly mom and complaining loudly to all in line about 5 people about it and how I was wasting her time. Excuse me I thought cashiers was being paid to be helpful especially managers.. Well I asked again for her managers name and store managers name She finally gave it to me seeing I wasnt leaving til she did.. All the while as I was standing there one of the guy employees was on a cell phone calling someone and telling them that they had tagged a bed as sold til person on phone could get there to look at it..This is not the first time I have hear and seen people either be on the phone telling someone about an item or taking them to the back to get a just arrived item.. There is alot of wrong doings going on up there. Perhaps this needs to be looked into.. Stuff is gave to Goodwill and changing a price shouldnt matter as long as its a fair price.. This other is wrong because it should be first come first get but up there you have to know an employee in order to get any furniture or good items.. And managers should not be so rude and hateful to customers and should not gossip to other customers about another one This person should be fired immediately she has been rude to others as well.
ladies shirt
While checking out I asked if they would discount a shirt that was ripped under the arm and side and I was told no. I asked if they would switch the color tag to yellow to make it 50% off since is was damaged. They still said no. I asked for a manager and I was told the same exact thing. The manager said they aren't allowed to sell ripped clothes and that I either pay full price for it or they would be taking it off the floor and trashing it. I asked if I could have the item since they were throwing it away and he said no. I asked if they would accept 2 bucks and I said they were a donation store and any amount of money would benefit them. The two ladies behind me agreed and we all feel Goodwill was wrong. Thus upsets me as I am a frequent shopper there and also donate a lot. But if that's how this company wants to be please let me know.
furniture
Most furniture sold more than a day ago and still will not sell. The sheets states that all furniture must be picked up in 24 hrs. If you cant pick it up you shouldn't be able to buy especially if the store is not going to follpw the 24 hr policy. This is annoying when you find something, you have a way to transport it, and they will not sell it. Maybe the policy should be same day instead if 24 hrs. And the manager that i spoke with was less than pleasant, the other workers were great though.
service
7/23/19 at around 6:15. I was waiting to check out. The woman cashier went over to help the other cashier. She had called for assistance prior. A man came and started straightening clothes ha here. The cashier told him I needed to be waited on. The employee immediately goes over to a man standing by glass case and waits on him. I, as a woman, was totally...
