the women cashier in lumber at the washington twp store would not give me

Water heater installation company
Water heater was installed on 8/19/2022 by Champion Plumbing MN [protected]. The install plumber insisted that the cold water ball cock valve needed to be replaced as it had some green on it which in his mind indicated a leak or a previous leak. It wasn't leaking. Got charged extra (I think it was something like $84.00 or $64.00 - don't know because they failed to give me an itemized receipt.)
Inspector came out on 10/4/2022. Everything looked good and he signed off on it. I asked him about the ball-cock valve and explained where the green was on it. He told me (without seeing the valve) that it was most likely due to the fact the previous installer of that valve failed to wipe off the flux when sweating it in place. And over time the heat from sweating and the flux still on the valve caused the green color. The installer had to clean up after the install so i don't have the valve to prove my point.
Crew2 Corp does home depot's scheduling and I believe they favor their contractors. I tried getting a refund for this through Crew2 but it didn't happen.

First Tech came out on 9/14/22 - diagnosed the issue, said he was going to order part - did not receive ANY update from anyone; i had to personally follow up numerous times with HD protection plan as the number provided for tech was not reachable - was finally told almost a month later that the initial tech could not take the job and another company had to be assigned and start the diagnosis from scratch
Second tech came out on 10/5/22 - was hear for 5 minutes, saw the video of the noise I had saved and diagnosed same issue and said he was going to place order for part and stated it was safe to continue using the machine (same thing 1st tech said)
This weekend upon using the machine, I noticed the clothes were not draining properly; I had to run an extra Drain and Rinse cycle and yesterday after the cycle finished there was a flickering noise and flames started under the washing machine - we had to quickly unplug everything and smoke started coming out from inside the machine (this all happened while I was on a call with a HD supervisor complaining about the negligence of this claim handling); I was told by supervisor that I would receive and email or call this morning and i did not; AGAIN i was the one who had to call to follow up because having a fire hazard yesterday was not enough to expedite service on this claim.
I spoke with supervisor today and unbelievably the next step is still to REPAIR a machine that had flames underneath it yesterday with same parts that were ordered and yet again have the tech diagnose the machine vs refunding the full machine or delivering a new one
This level of service is pathetic, unacceptable, dangerous and negligent. I WILL NOT have a machine that was over flames yesterday repaired and used again in my home.
I will escalate this legally if not handled properly and I will make this issue public. I was told that this would escalate to a manager and i should recieve a call back in 1 business day - I STILL HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER BUSINESS DAY TO HOPEFULLY GET A CALL BACK? This is horrific and deplorable.
Desired outcome: Full refund of machine and/or a new machine with full warranty.
Is there any update on this complaint? I am still waiting for an escalated decision and I have no washing machine. Asurions selected tech told us we could continue using the machine at no risk. This was false and inaccurate information that resulted in the issue and damaged parts getting worse to the point of mo repair and put my family and home in a fire hazard situation. The machine flickered r and flames started under the machine! How has this not been decided on yet?
LG Refrigerator warranty
I purchased a LG refrigerator from Home Depot on July 3rd 2018 along with a 5 year warranty for it. When I called for service on it, they found my purchase right away along with the 5 year warranty. They sent out a repair person who stated the fridge is not fixable. According to Home Depot if they can't repair it they will replace it. Now Asurion won't send me a check for the unit until I provide them with a copy of the itemized receipt. Home depot has that information all pulled up, but states they cannot send me a copy of it because its over 24 months ago. If you won't provide your own warranty department with purchase history, why bother offering a warranty at all? I have made countless calls and all I get is a run around from both Asurion and Home Depot. I even provided them with the statement with the charge from July 2018 with the reference number and total for the purchase and that is not enough for them. We as the customer shouldn't have to provide this when it is clearly in Home Depot's system. I called them Sept 25 2022. Claim # [protected]

Similar circumstance. Home Depot is very well aware of the MANY issues with defective LG products, but makes so much profit selling them that that trumps any concern for their customer's problems after purchase. Large coordinated scam, it appears. Home Depot could prove me wrong & see to it that I am & you are fairly compensated or simply go to bat for me with LG & compel them to keep their word & compensate me as they are one of, if not THE, largest retailer of LG products.
Do even rudemental internet research...these problems with LG & their huge client Home Depot are LEGION. I'll never darken the door of a Home Depot again & wouldn't accept any LG product if offered for free!
Military discount
I am emailing in regards to the limit on the military discount.
I recently found out that Home Depot puts a $400 limit on military members. I understand that some may abuse the discount, which is unfortunate.
However, when I fought for your country and mine, watched others die, picked up their body parts so there could be something to put in the casket for the family, being shot at, and injured I did not stop fighting. I think vets deserve a little more than what you are offering. I will let family members and fellow members know that Home Depot does not appreciate there vets. Wonder what would happen if we all put limits on how hard we fought?
I will now start shopping at other places.
Desired outcome: get rid of limit or increase drastically. If needed increase ID checks.
washer dryer
I purchased a washer dryer at Home depot. before finalizing purchase i asked about return policy. the associate stated i had 48 hrs to return if i disliked product. The washer was horrible, no water and the motor im assuming hits the washer from side to side to where the washer moved and shook like no tomorrow. and yes, we paid for delivery and installed, the guy who installed it tryed it and it was filling up with water and leveled it. i called within 14hrs, after delivery and they are refusing my refund. This is a scam and unethical .

Front Door and French Door installation
From February my mom and I purchased these doors so we could be prepared in case a hurricane came. My mother dreamed of seeing these doors since she took her time with Russ to make sure everything was good. Since then, till now October 6 I don't have any doors. Jose (great installer) came to do the installation in late Aug. (yes August) and noticed 3 issues with my order: the front door replacement frame was not cut out, French door had a hole in it, and it was missing the door frame. That means no one inspected the order to ensure it was correct when it was received, and no one could count and see that 1 of the 6 out of 6-piece order was missing. I have been in contact with Customer Order Specialists Falica and Loyda Leiva and their Supervisor Armondo Garriga. I made sure to email everything and document all of these encounters. When I speak to them all I get is sorry for the inconvenience or we can discuss the inconvenience after the installation. It's a serious problem that I have to wait longer than 8 months for 2 doors, since I was informed on Sept. 27 the door went missing mid delivery and it has to be reordered. I tried to speak to the store manager and nothing I just supervisors lying about getting me a resolution and having me on hold for one hour then hanging up or taking my phone number and saying they would call back but did not. I lost money to be home from work to wait for the installation and my mother passed away before ever getting to see the doors. We literally had a hurricane, and I didn't have the hurricane proof doors I ordered! I even offered to go and pick up the doors myself if they would be installed faster. After this purchase I will never order anything that needs to be installed from Home Depot again I'll get a contractor.

delivery and customer service
I had scheduled for delivery a microwave and installation. After receiving verification call from delivery guy, I was expecting delivery within 20 min.
Later, I got missed call and message from Homedepo, Message said that delivery could not completed because I was not available. I was at home all day waiting for the product! Delivery guy did not even bother to call me back before heading for the next.
Call the customer service. She stated I have to re-schedule my delivery.
I had to wait for more than 3 weeks to accommodate with my working. I need to delivery as it scheduled. HomeDepot did not care I was wasting my whole morning for this delivery. I had to talk with 6-7 different peoples on the phone about 3 hours. Most of time I had to hold my phone or waiting for passing to other people. One customer service person made me wait and hang up the phone. One other person tried to offer me gift card but later he stated he did not authority to give me the gift card. What a horrible customer service!
I was so done with it.
I wanted to cancel all. It took me at least 40 min to cancel it. At first, he said he could not cancel it for me. He said Store was not answer the phone so I had to call the store or go to the store. But I knew it he was laying.
After journey of cancelation, I was asking for official cancelation E-mail. But customer service stated they could not e-mail it to me now. I was insisting my official cancelation and refund e-mail for verification. Unlike other store, HomeDepo could not sent me any official conformation cancelation E-mail right away after cancelling the product.
HomeDepo people toss me to the department to the department until someone hang up the phone against my wish. I still did not get my confirmation e-mail from the store.

In store front door order
Good afternoon my name is Joseph Williams. I have a case number it is [protected]. My wife and I are very upset. We only hear from Home Depot when I make a complaint. We got an email saying door would be at the store the next day and we would get a call. Well it’s been two weeks and crickets again. Also when we ordered the door 7/15/22 we had 24 month no interest, now on the app it shows 6 month no interest. We almost want to cancel whole thing and go to Lowes..

Champion Power Equipment 25' 30 AMP FanStyle Flat Generator Extension Cord
I purchased a Champion Generator and Extension cord in July 2021 getting ready for hurricane season. When I purchased the generator the extension cord was recommended as "everything you need". We purchased the extension cord at the same time. We did not need the generator last year but used it for the first time with Hurricane Ian in South Carolina last week. The extension cord was never opened until this year and we found that it does not go with this generator. It has four prongs and the generator we purchased takes a 3 prong plug. Neither the local store or on-line store will let me return it or exchange it for the proper cord because it was purchased last year. (I also purchased a Home Depot protection plan on the generator). The order number is WD76653406 dated July 9, 2021. The internet # for the cord is [protected]
Desired outcome: I would like to be reimbursed for the $108.90 that I paid for cord. I will gladly return this extension cord to the local store.
Purchase of zero turn mower
Today is 10/3/2022 3:58 p.m. I just purchased a troy bilt %zero turn mower from home depot. They give veterans a 10% discount thru out the store. They refused to give my husband his veteran discount as they said you do not honor veterans. That's 309.90 that he didn't get off his purchase. I want to know what you are going to do about this ? This is a disgrace on a veteran. He didn't get his discount because you don't honor them ? Why do you not honor our veterans ? I need to hear your answer and if it's not good enough I will turn this over to the BBB and they will finish what I have started here. That's just not fair at all. Why should home depot refuse his veteran discount when we are purchasing the mower there ? I need some answers please and thank-you.

Maytag freezer
I bought this Maytag freezer from Home Depot on May 17th , freezer stopped working from mid June , I called Home Depot, they didn’t do anything, just gave me the Maytag customer service number, I called them , they sent a technician in July to check the freezer, he diagnosed that the freezer needs new compressor n starter installed , when I called that company two weeks later when they’ll fix the freezer, they said call the technician, I asked the technician he said the parts are on back order, I thought the freezer for almost $3000 but still can’t use it n it like almost 5 months now , all the items I had in the freezer I had to throw away coz all went bad , I had almost $809 of lamb , chicken n sea food in the freezer
Desired outcome: I want u new freezer, I even asked the Maytag customer service to replace the freezer, she said no it’s under warranty they’ll only fix it n won’t replace it , when will they fix the freezer, I bought it to use , not for decoration
LG refrigerator
I purchased a $2500 LG refrigerator from Home Depot in July 2017. Very nice looking & seemingly well designed appliance. But it never got below 43 degrees & broke down before one year old. LG did pay for that repair & it did cool (still never below 43) & make ice. But ice began clumping badly in May of this year & the fridge completely quit in mid July. After self tests using the computerized control board and tests with LG's Thin Q app that links to fridge via wifi said all part working properly, I ordered & installed a new & "improved" contol board ($275) after multiple google searches said that would fix the issues. It did not.
Thus began many many calls to LG's "customer service". For the sake of brevity, I'll say they eventually got a serviceman who attempted a repair. It did run again, but within 2 days it was 15 degrees inside the fridge, then quit completely again the next day. After many more hours with different customer "service" agents & with LG finally conceding my fridge was not repairable, we insisted on speaking to a manager.
So "presidential liaison" Fernando texted a settlement offer as well as called my phone to communicate the $1366.62 offer. While less than half our original cost (with taxes) & with no compensation for the $275 control board, we were tired of fightihg & not having a fridge. So I accepted & submitted exactly what they requested including removing the appliance ID sticker inside the door & tearing it in half, photographing it to upload to their form, voiding all warranty.
After telling me it would be 7-10 days to process & send me the settlement check, we thought our nightmare almost over with. Then two days ago they text me "Your refund claim has been declined". Z e r o explanation for their lie and they will not connect me with Fernando, nor any other officer.
I cannot assign a price for the months without a fridge, countless hours on the phone or on hold & non-stop frustration & headaches. But LG has ripped me off for almost $3000 in actual cost for this one purchase nightmare.
Fair warning: n e v e r purchase any LG appliance!
Desired outcome: LG does exactly what they said they would & mails me the settlement check for $1366.62 they "offered" as compensation. I have all documentation including screen shot of Fernando's "offer" text stream.
Square Trade Washing Machine Warranty
I purchased a machine thru Home Depot and got an extended warranty which I believe is serviced thru Square Trade.
I called on Sunday 18 Sept as my washing machine was leaking water. They diagnosed machine and ordered parts which arrived on 20 Sept. After they ordered parts they scheduled me for a technician to come on Friday 22 Sept. I received an email confirming the appointment and asking for more availability if they had a technician available. I told them I was available 21 - 23 Sept.
I called the support line as I never got any other follow up on 21 Sept and was told a technician was coming between 8-10am. Nobody arrived. I called again on the 22nd and they said they would expedite my claim to their service team. Still no response. I called the evening of the 22nd and no updates available and don't know if somebody is coming on the 23rd. Only could tell me that my claim was expedited and I would be emailed on Monday or Tuesday next week which I assume then they will have to schedule a visit for the technician to come.
Very difficult as you can't communicate at all with the people who are going to do the repair - only thru the claims people which is a different company.
I have the parts - I just need a technician to install.
Desired outcome: Have a technician come when scheduled to complete the repair. Maybe a phone call to confirm they are coming to make sure I'm going to be home. I do leave occasionally.
Unnecessary Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-Factor Authentication on your website for simple browsing is superfluous. I need ready access to my account history. You may implement 2FA if a payment/purchase is requested, sure, but for day-to-day history, price checks, receipt access it is simply unnecessary.
This is CLEARLY an effort to funnel (see: annoy) customers into using the phone app (privacy-invasive, not customer-friendly).
There are plenty of competitors in your product space that happily match HD prices. This should be frustrating to all customers, as these practices with non-critical accounts (i.e. Home Depot) only weaken identity security to casual customers. No one wants nor should have to use 2FA on an account as trivial as homedepot.com. MANY competitors have practical account security practices, and this is significant enough to me that I will shop elsewhere. You're prices aren't always that good. You're not the only show in town.
Desired outcome: Removal of 2FA obligation. Make it optional -OR- migrate 2FA obligation to ONLY affect the payment system of [customer] accounts.
Property damage by installer
On Thursday 9/8/22, Home Depot sent two men in a large truck to finish the install on my washer tower. When they were leaving my driveway, they turned left out f the gate and the back end of their truck caught the gate/fence post and bent it. Our associate noticed it on Friday 9/9/22. We do not know the cost to repair the damage as yet. I have attached pictures.
My husband is very ill and we have been overwhelmed with medical appointments which delayed the filing of this complaint.
Desired outcome: We would appreciate having it repaired. We are old and in poor condition.
Kitchenaid refrigerator
Purchased refrigerator December 2019 for $2997.97 from Home Depot with a 5 year extended warranty from Asurion, through Home Depot. Started having electrical and ice maker issues. To date, issues still not fixed. Asurion refused to refund my money or replaced the refrigerator, but continue to send technicians. The refrigerator obviously cannot be repaired. I’m living with a non working fridge for almost 3 years. See photos where Norman Electrical, recently broke other parts from the fridge and left without repairing. I made many phone complaints to Home Depot, but they only just transfer the call back to Asurion. I am frustrated and totally disappointed with Home Depot. Head cashiers
I work at the Home Depot #0224. The last year here the place has lost its morals. They let two head cashiers do anything they want. They never get reprimanded for their behavior. I have seen them be so disrespectful to other cashiers and customers. One cashier even shut down the garden and the pro division, took a cashier and went with her to customer service said she was training her but they were just goofing around. We were so short handed we look like idiots to the customers because the lines were crazy she will not jump on a register and help. There are lists of items to be done when you are a head cashier and every time I come in they are never done. They leave them to the night crew to do. The opening head cashier calls in so many time or doesn't show up but never get in trouble. She leaves money lay around and will not help the cashiers. when they ask. The favoritism here has to stop we have lost some very good cashiers because of these two and on top of that the good cashiers that they want to promote will not take the position because of the [censored] show we portray. The amount of complaints against these two are numerous but nothing is done by management. Every time I come in the cashiers complain how horrible they are treated. The favoritism really needs to stop.
Kitchen cabint
I ordered several kitchen cabinets on Order # WP45229277. Several cabinets
were delivered on Sept. 9th. One Cabinet, a Hampton Satin White Raised Panel
(30 X 36 X 12in) is listed as being delivered on 9/09/22 tracking number
[protected]. It is also listed as being delivered on 9/22/22.
This cabinet has not been delivered at all. On one form it is listed to be picked
up at the store (Home Depot Pittsburg Kansas #2220) but I have never gotten a
pickup order from that store.
Desired outcome: Find this cabinet and have it delivered. Not having it is holding up an entire project.
