Home Depot delivery

I ordered a dishwasher and paid for installation and disposal of the old unit. The delivery was to take place between 2:30-6:30 pm on Friday evening. The delivery people-GE delivery showed up after 7. The one guy took a look at where the dishwasher was to be installed and declared he could not install it because he could not reach the water shut off valve. The valve, however was clearly visible and reachable. When i pointed this out, he said "oh no the valve is hidden behind the sink and you have to first get a plumber to lower the sink so it can be reached" I said this makes no sense but let me call my regular handyman so he can explain it to you. As i left the room to call my handyman, the delivery men took off without advising me and left the uninstalled dishwasher sitting in my garage. I wrote a letter of complaint to Home depot but received no response. I then emailed home depot and received a standard response that they were sorry for my inconvenience and that they have "partnered with the appropriate departments to see that my complaint is addressed." I have no idea what this means other than its just blowing smoke on my concern and that home depot has little interest in taking responsibility for crappy service. In the future I will purchase goods from a different company.

Home Depot Washer and dryer delivery

On Friday, September 10, 2021, I, Mark Simon was supposed to receive my order from Home Depot. The order was going to my address at 218 Cordell Dr. Crockett, Texas 75835. I, gave my phone number as, point of contact, before delivery. On the date of the delivery, which is September 10, 2021, the delivery was supposed to be made in the time frame of 10:30 am and 2:30 pm.

The delivery made it to my location at 10:56 am and attempted to make contact by the phone number given with the order. The delivery driver contacted me only once by phone, but I missed the call. I work the night shift as a police officer for my county. I was patrolling the county severing my community throughout the night, making sure they were safe.

So I tried to stay up to receive my order on September 10, 2021, but due to my long hours, I fell asleep. My complaint is the driver only contacted me by phone one time, then return back with my order. I feel if they are going to deliver your order they should try to make contact more than one phone call. I Had been up all morning waiting on the order.

Then I received a message stating that the order would be delivered from 10:30 to 2:30 pm. I was called only once and that's it and they return my product back to the store. I attempted to contact the number that call me, but they would not answer the phone. Why would the delivery personnel not answer the phone when the client is trying to make contact with them for delivery.

So I called, Home Depot to check the Online status of my delivery and they informed me, that the delivery person has attempted to make the delivery and I was told I could only reschedule my order or cancel my order. I told Home Depot over the phone that this, was a gift for my wife for her birthday and that I really need the order today. They informed me that it has been over an hour and that the person who delivered the rider might be back in Houston by now.

I stay two hours from Houston and all the driver had to do is answer the phone, when I called him to return their order. I was so upset the driver would not answer the phone. I am supposed to answer the phone when you call when you deliver my product, but you can't answer the phone when the product is returned undelivered. You dont make an effort to contact me only once by phone, which is not enough.

Telling me they don't deliver in my area, but once a week and that's only on Friday. I feel my order should be delivered tomorrow because I was home but only called once by the delivery person. One call is not enough to be making deliveries two hours away.

Desired outcome: I feel that my product should be delivered to me by tomorrow and not week later on the reschedule date.

Home Depot service

I sign a contract for a pantry and closet July 3-2021 to be completed in 8 weeks tops they said could take between 8 to 12 weeks by mid Sept I been trying to reach the sales manager Ramon Ortega at [protected] since 4 weeks ago today is 9/8/2021 to find out what is going on and just to find out that the material has not even been shipped out and have no idea when will they be shipped. this is not acceptable I told them the urgency and still unable to contact him directly to get a an answer.

Home Depot Credit card

Our Home Depot Credit Card credit limit was $22, 500. Over the years we used it for 2-HVAC units (2 heat pumps and 2 air handlers), a house full of carpet, kitchen appliances, etc. After a lightening caused power surge, we also ordered another new refrigerator. We were promised a three day delivery appointment. With no refrigeration, we thought that we could wait three days. A week later, we cancelled the order, went to Sears, and had our fridge delivered the same day! HD could not say why it was taking so long, and could not provide a new ETA. At some point due to lack of use, they reduced our credit limit to $12, 900., then recently to $5, 000., also for non-use. We are having a home built, and guess whose card I will not be using? We have many credit cards that have been paid off, then not used for awhile. Home Depot is the only one that has made this decision. It adversely effects our credit score when this happens. Our current score is 832. What are they accomplishing by reducing the limit, other than pissing off a good customer? We had no notification that this would occur.

Home Depot Credit Card

I am very sorry to have Home Depot Credit card. I will not buy anything from Home Depot period. They tell people no interest for 6 months or 12 months with out telling them if you cannot pay in full during this period you will be charged interest for whole amount you borrowed regardless how much you paid. Just not for the remaining balance, Even you only owe 1 cents. I request everyone to file a complaint with Federal Trade Commission about this predatory and foreign policies. Thank you.

Home Depot Windows and service

I have purchased 21 windows recently. Ordered several because not in stock. I convinced my husband to use HD not Lowe's. It has been a nightmare. Several have come in broken or incorrect ones. With this many we gave the correct order numbers. And then when they finally come in the are wrong. Always takes forever if they. Am he found at store when thru come in. Still do not have all the Windows. More came in broken. We travel back and forth 2 hours away pulling a trailer. Keep having to go back due to errors. Plus my house is half finished!

Home Depot Honda eu2200i Generator

Bougth the Honda eu2200i Generator in Home Depot Clifton NJ to bring to the Caribbean. Bought it July 7. 2021 and I traveled at the end of July 2021. Cost me $230 to ship it via UPS Ground as the airline couldn't guarantee TSA would have allowed the generator to go through. They said TSA sometimes allows brand new generators to go through and sometimes it does not. Used generators are never allowed. (In retrospect, they would have not allowed it to pass as they would have seen it was already used but I didn't know that bc the airline said the box had to look sealed the way it comes from the retailer). Plus other expenses I had to incur. When in the Caribbean a storm was approaching and we opened the box to get the generator to work. When we opened the spark plug area to put in the oil there was gunk and crusty oil all around it. The chord to start the generator was ripping apart. There was some mud and in a small area there's a few small holes on the body of the generator. Then we realize the box says Honda eu2200i and the generator says Honda2000 model and on top it did not turn on even! So someone switched the new model for an old model and wrapped it in a way that looked like the box came from the manufacturer. We returned it at the store down there but they don't sell that generator and that's the one we want bc it is very quiet. They said they could only give me a store credit but I don't live down there and the cost was $1011.00 After 2.5 hours of asking for a refund, surrounded by 3 managers and 3 employees, they said we could pick up the check with the refund in two weeks but has been 3 weeks. We feel we are given the run around. Spoke to managers in NJ as well and they all say there's nothing they can do except giving the money back but we are not even getting that. Plus this generator seems nobody has it in any store and we want to buy it again but nobody helps with that after going through this nightmare. As a matter of fact I had one manager say to have someone switch a generator in a box is very unlikely. I did not make this up! Home Depot sold me an old, used up, non working Honda generator as if it was new in a sealed box and nobody can do a thing about it. I don't blame the employees nor managers as their hands are tied. But the company itself makes it impossible for anyone in a leadership position to make a decision during fraudulent, odd, unique circumstances.

Home Depot Your 11% Matching Rebates

See the email chain below. After months of tracking and then finally be told to submit to "Executive Resolutions" I get this from your employee. I will tell everyone I know to shop at Lowes or Menards from this point forward. DMR

Menards gives an 11% rebate on the purchase of sheds and even homes online. You are violating your statements that you will meet or beat your competition. Is this something you want me to post online as a comment or complaint for all your customers to see?

I would reconsider if I were you and process the rebate. I asked for a receipt from the service desk and they would not provide one. The service desk either screwed up or your policy at the service desk doesn't make sense. Which one is it?

Home Depot Continuous error regarding a $16.02 payment

Home Depot has sent me two different credit cards and for some reason never sent me any bill regarding a balance of $16.02.

By the time they applied the $16.02 to my Citibank card and it was unrecognized by me so I did a stop payment on it. By the time I figured out what the charge was, and on my account it was on Citibank would not release the $16.02 to -home Depot and therefore the charge became a late charge.

I called Home Depot and explain the situation and they reported it as a late fee anyway. This has resulted in my FICO score being reduced substantially and I am very annoyed.

I would like -home Depot to reassess the situation and remove any derogatory information about this account.

Desired outcome: Home Depot credit needs to remove the derogatory information about a late fee because they never sent me any information that I owed any money on this account.

Home Depot Deceptive sales practices re: product installation l-g washer/gas dryer

New L-G washer/gas dryer set was order from The Home Depot in Iron Mountain, MI on 07/06/2021. Order ID was H2775-75131. Advised sales associate at time of order that new dryer had to be a bottom vent. Associate checked specs and advised that dryer would accept a bottom vent set-up, but that we would have to order 1) installation, 2) gas dryer parts installation kit, and 3) semi-rigid dryer duct kit. Agreed and added to order. New washer/dryer was to replace an older L-G washer/gas dryer set with a failed washer.

New units were scheduled for delivery on 07/16/2021. Units were delivered on schedule on 07/16/2021. Delivering carrier called prior to showing up.
No complaints here.

Delivery/installation personnel proceeded to remove old washer/gas dryer in preparation for installation of new units. New units were taken from the truck and unpacked. Washer was installed using existing water shut-offs, drain into existing standpipe, and electrical into existing wall outlet.

Now the problem begins. Delivery company personnel advise me that they can not install the gas dryer. Show them on the order that I paid for installation and the 2 required gas dryer installation kits. Insist that they will not install and are not installers, but just delivery personnel. Offered me an L-G 800 number to call to make arrangements with L-G to send out a qualified L-G service technician to complete installation at no charge to me. Sounded reasonable, so I released them from the site so they could continue with their other orders, as I had no contract with them. Their contract was direct with Home Depot.

Called L-G 800 number given me by delivery personnel. After a long wait to talk with a representative, I was told that I was in a wrong department and had to talk to washers/dryers. Received another 800 number for washers/dryers and after another long wait and being put on hold, rep wanted to talk to supervisor, was told this was not a L-G problem, but had to taken up with Home Depot. Given another 800 number for Home Depot customer service. Could not get through and finally hung up.

Decided to go to Home Depot Iron Mountain directly. Talked to Jared, store manager, concerning above. He refunded installation charge and charges for 2 gas dryer installation kits and promised that L-G/Home Depot would provide the required bottom/side vent kit to me at no charge. No response, so I personally visited the Home Depot service desk again and talked to Daymen on 07/28/2021. He found Jared's notes on the computer and confirmed Jared had talked to L-G and they advised they would not supply the parts kit as it was not a line item on the PO. Daymen promised to follow-up and get back to me. On 08/03/2021 with no response, I again visited the Iron Mountain Home Depot service desk and talked to Tia. She promised to review and follow-up and get back to me. On 08/05/2021 received an email from 2775, Service Desk, advising that L-G was still refusing to supply the bottom/vent kit, but that The Home Depot was still working on resolving the problem. On 08/09/2021 I responded to this email advising my disappointment and advising that I would have to resort to social media. No results, so here we are on social media wasting more time for you and me.

Bottom/side vent kit (383EEL9001B) is not stocked by Home Depot. L-G refuses to supply.

Have the dryer hooked up in a temporary mode, so laundry can be done.

Remember - This is not my washer/dryer, but my wife's, and if "Mama's not happy, no one's happy!"

Went to home Depot to buy a Panasonic bathroom vent with light. 4 were in stock according to internet. After driving 1 hr to store and 2 hrs looking for it, going through 4 different clecks we were told they can order online and ship to store. Impossible to ship to our home. Only problem is that it is $80 more than ordering myself online and that can be shipped to my home... Clerk had then guts to ask if we wanted to sign up for the store credit card...

Never seen so many incompetent people, inaccurate stocking numbers and ordering system. What a mess.

Home Depot Delivery/Installation of New Dishwasher

My husband and I ordered a new Frigidaire refrigerator, gas range and dishwasher. Delivery occurred on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Upon arrival the delivery men announced that they could NOT install the new dishwasher because it was "hardwired" and that we needed to hire an outside plumber to do the install.? They directly said that "this happens all the time with Home Depot. They never tell the customers." I was sort of stunned that they refused to install it despite Home Depot charging me for install and didn't know what to do. I said to my husband maybe we should just refuse the dishwasher, but the delivery men cautioned me against that indicating that was only if the product was damaged. The delivery men left the old dishwasher in place and the new dishwasher wrapped up in my garage and departed.

As soon as they left, I called Home Depot and asked for a refund for the amounts charged for install, haul away and installation parts. Your customer service rep was great, took care of the situation and even mailed me my refund receipt for those items. That part was awesome and so very helpful.

The real problem arose in trying to find a plumber. It took me (3) tries to find a plumber who had availability and would do the install. However, on August 21, 2021 when the plumber unwrapped the new dishwasher, it was a top mount instead of side mount! The salesman had asked us about this and my husband and I SPECIFICALLY told him that we had granite countertops and needed a side mount dishwasher. I'm fully aware of the difference between side mount and top mount and the install requirements for each. In fact, your salesman steered us away from ordering the dishwasher we originally wanted because he claimed it could only be top mounted.

Back to the install, my plumber told me that although the specified preferred method of installation was top mount, he could try to install it with side brackets, but none had been included. I immediately called Home Depot looking for the side brackets and was told that Home Depot never carries any of the install parts, they always have to be special ordered. Thus, I found the mounting brackets on Amazon and the plumber had to return again on August 24, 2021 to do the side mount install.

Bear in mind that the Home Depot paperwork indicates that the appliance is unreturnable once delivered - and the delivery service counseled me AGAINST refusing delivery of the dishwasher. In the end, it cost me (3) times the original amount to install the dishwasher - AND ITS NOT EVEN THE CORRECT DISHWASHER! OR EVEN INSTALLED IN THE CORRECT PERFERRED MANNER! All we want is the correct dishwasher installed correctly for the installation price quoted by Home Depot.

Desired outcome: Uninstall wrong dishwasher, install correct dishwasher, refund money spent on outside plumber.

Perhaps a law suit in small claims court would settle the matter; where a mediator or dis-interested third party ( judge ) would hear the case and resolve the issues at hand once and for-all . After all, they get away with this all the time and a 'plumber' should not be handling your electrical connections; they aren't licensed nor insured for any electrical work !

Home Depot Delivery

I was informed that my Cub Cadet would arrive on Aug 19 2021 by Voicemail, this did not happen . I called and they assured me that it would be delivered today, this also did not happen and no one ever called or emailed . I called and they said it may be arriving on Monday but not sure. I spent over 45 miners on each call asking about this for 2 days. This item can not be left on the porch it is a Cub Cadet riding Mower. So I wasted two days waiting and changing my time to make sure I would be at home. This was guaranteed both days. It is not that it was not delivered it was that no one took the time to inform me that it would not be arriving.
This item has been paid for and I still want it but my time is as valuable as is yours. Thank you.

Hey Marine...
Maybe a dose of what they serve is in order; perhaps a small claims action would get their attention as they purposely toss the customer a glad smile when they're taking your money but could care less with their ten dollar an hour customer service employees handling your issues. Slam the manager at the store with a summons and let the judge vent the courts anger at having to deal with them; Semper Fi !

Home Depot Water heater installation

Home Depot in Elk Grove village uses DRF plumbing to install their water heaters. When they installed my water heater the plumber removed a pipe and did not reinstall it. Because he didn't reinstall the pipe water leaked on my floor and ruined my drywall. The plumber stated it was outside the scope of his employment to reinstall a pipe he removed. Now my drywall has mold and is ruined they offered me $75 for a repair that will cost $1200 to remove mold and $800 to install new drywall and paint it. At the store Home Depot said they would file a claim with their insurance and it would cover the costs if DRF did not fix it. Neither one is doing anything to fix the problem.

Home Depot weatherable vilano white railing and stair railing kit

I ordered this product from the Home Depot in Hendersonville TN, when the packages arrived I could see that the boxes were beaten up.
the parts inside (the white vinyl railing) had marks and black scuffs, one railing even had a scratch that was about 15 inches long.
one of the stair railing kits was missing the mounting bracket and the cover that goes over the mounting bracket. over the last week I have called the Home Depot customer service and had been told one time that there was nobody at the manufacturer for them to address the issue. told another time that the manufacturer was send the missing parts and should arrive in 24 to 48 hours, called yet again a week later and still have not received the missing parts.
the Home Depot customer service employees have all been polite and respectful but not competent.
I can understand the Home Depot cannot control their venders but they certainly need to train the staff to resolve issues for customers and perhaps consider not selling merchandise from venders that have a bad product and will cause them to lose customers.
I have both Ace and Lowes near and do not plan to shop with Home Depot again.

Right On ! DO what you have to do.. but don't take any more of their guff. The Customer Service Dept. in Home Depot is terribly incompetent. They glad hand you when taking your money but anything under warranty is pushed off to another company as their way of shedding responsibility. What we need to do is start handing them Small Claims Court Summons; and pull their sorry excuses before a judge and give them a dose of paying the customer for the grief they have created. Fair play is Fair Play !
I now go to any other store BUT Home Depot for anything significant. Home Depot has a serious problem and it's getting worse by the hour.
