Gift card return
On Tuesday, May 25th from 11am to 12:30 pm EST, I was on the phone with various Home Depot departments. I purchased two gift cards that hadn't been redeemed and was looking to return them. I was unable to hit zero and speak to a representative at any point. Furthermore, when I eventually would speak to someone while trying to find a gift card specialist, I would be told they couldn't handle my problem and would forward me to another electronic prompt that would talk in circles and eventually hang up on me, without having any way to get me to speak to a representative directly/by hitting zero. EVENTUALLY I spoke to someone who said I had to go into a store to get it sorted, but because I had purchased it online the store said the two entities do not talk to one another and they couldn't help me either. Clearly they were trying to feed me incorrect information just to pass me along. I called back, worked through multiple lengthy prompts and transfers and was told the same thing a second time. After explaining what had already happened to me, the representative said "oh yeah, you're right" indicative of the fact that they were caught just trying to pawn me off yet again. The system is intentionally confusing so that the customer is forced to give up, any the only way to receive any sort of assistance is to make it clear you refuse to quit and demand someone from Home Depot customer service provide even the bare minimum of effort. Home Depot customer support is extremely unprofessional and unorganized.
Desired outcome: A human being from the correct department contact me and get this problem sorted out without spending hours listening to robots.
YUBA city California
Price marked way to high the actually price was 3.88 three dollars and eighty eight cents plus tax and it scanned for 12.88 twelve dollars and eighty eight cents. I had the cashier double check and scan another 50mm staples 1000 total for my staple gun and the price marked way high. This has happened to me more than once. Seems like done on purpose to cheat customers. If a customer catches on they change price but if not they keep the gain. I went back today and the price was the same 12.88 and more than half the shelve was empty.
Desired outcome: To fix this scam
They mark there items higher than the price marked so check your review and keep an eye on the price of your items happend to me more than once
Appliance delivery
Last time I will buy appliances from Costco or Home Depot as they both use Temco Logistics.
First delivery the Range was removed and new one installed. Next the refrigerator. Guy said he could not install and connect water for icemaker without me calling a Plumber to install a fitting. Left new Refrigerator in garage and wouldn't even bring it in and plug is so we continued buying ice and using ice chests! My son removed the fitting from old fridge and put it on new one. Rescheduled another appointment and waited 10 more days. This time 2 guys show, haul old Fridge out and bring new one in but still refuse to connect to water line due to "INSURANCE" ?! They didn't even remove ANY packaging material or level it either. Home Depot says "Appliance will be delivered, set up and checked for proper operation..." Uh NO! This company should not be used by any reputable national company. Home Depot and Costco should be ashamed to do business with them
Desired outcome: Home Depot /Costco cut ties with this company
Bathroom cleanliness
Bathroom cleanliness At the Home Depot located in the 7000 block of Broadway Boulevard is terrible. I walked in the men's restroom was hit with a strong odor of fish. The men's restroom needs to be Cleaned and deodorized, it truly stinks. The bathroom in the store this large should be cleaned at least twice a shift. A customer should never have to worry...

And we are sill waiting here in May of 2021 for someone to fix the shed.
TOUGH SHED REVIEW January 25, 2021
My current age is 75 and I have built many sheds and additions in my years. I am NOT a licensed builder but all the sheds and additions I have built have always passed a home building inspection. I would say if you are someone with no carpenter skills then hire a handyman or carpenter to build you a shed. I am also a disabled combat Veteran who a few years ago had a very big hand surgery and has lost use of his right hand now so I can't build sheds anymore. I needed a new shed and I went with Tough Shed. Never again would I let them build me even an outhouse on my property. According to my Township inspector these are made to just pass inspections and I mean barely. What a joke this was, the shed was prebuilt at the factory and then they started the final assembly at my location and found out the doors were 2 different sizes and the overhangs were not made for this 12x16 foot shed. They were made for a 10 foot shed. So back to the factory and wait for new ones to be made. When it came time to do the roof and shingles it is required to leave a 1/8 gap between the sheets of the cheap 7/16 OSB they put on the roof and of course you should not butt the sheets up at the peak especially in the cold winter. The use of plywood "H" clips is highly recommended to support extra weight on the roof between sheets and maintain the proper gap. Of course why listen to the old man here, so all the sheets are butted up tight now and no plywood clips were used, they cost 20 cents each and I needed 14 of them and when hot weather arrives the sheets will expand. I don't know how much they will expand but they will. When they nailed down the shingles the nails MUST break thru the roofing material by at least 1/4 inch, this is stated in THEIR brochure with a picture. All my roofing nail points barely break thru the wood and no shanks show thru the back side. Nails for shingles should have been at least 1 ¼ long and the shank should be showing thru the inside of the building. This is definitely a possible failure of the shingle when a strong wind comes and blows some off the roof. My inspector told me that they meet the very bare minimum requirements for nailing and taking them to court could turn into a long battle. Also the T1-11 siding is of a thin quality, bare minimum again and when they shoot the nails in with their air nail guns they go into the siding too deep, the head of the nail goes at least half way into the wood in some cases and it looks terrible even after the paint is applied. They had a few loose sheets of siding and they shot more nails then needed into the wood. It looks like someone was shooting a machine gun of nails in a few spots for the Heck of it. When they put the trim boards on the corners they shot nails into the boards every 5-6 inches, over kill with nails again. When spring comes I will take a good 40 year caulk and fill all them nail holes in flush to the paneling which is something they should have done to protect it from the weather. If I didn't do that then the water would get into the deep holes and start rotting that thin cheap wood, so I must caulk and paint again. Truth is from me I always took pride in what I built for myself and friends. When nailing the sheeting onto the walls I always used a hammer and nail set for a nice finish but for them time is money and a nail gun does the job if only the air pressure is set properly something that is hard to do. I learned many years ago that before installing the siding I prefer that the back side be painted 1 foot up from the ground 2 coats as well as the sides and bottom edge to avoid rotting of the wood walls from splashing ground water. I know it would be hard (sic) for tough shed to do that but it has sure kept my home built shed and my customers sheds in Northern Michigan from rotting when they are so close to the ground for the past 20+ years. The only compliment I can give is that they use 2 ¼ long screws for the hinges on the shed so they do go fairly deep into the wall studs for security on the door. I will add 2 pad locks as additional security to the doors for better security.
Summing it all up, I am sorry I had Tuff Shed do the job but it was August when I ordered this shed and it was not until January that it got built. I could not find a contractor to build me this shed; everyone was so busy because of the Covid 19 and shortage of wood. Take my advice if you use Tuff Shed you do need a permit and you will get a shed but it will meet code by bare minimum, believe me I do know what I am talking about. Possibly for a few dollars more or less you can get a quality shed built by a real carpenter who cares. These sheds are mass produced. Dated January 25 2021 and finally had a final inspection and thanks to the inspector for being so honest with me about something I already knew. Tough Shed is mass produced, poorly built at the factory and assembled in a rough quick way and barely meets inspections. THE END
AS of now May 2021 we are on our second set of doors and they were not built properly and are falling apart. We have been in the queue to Tuff Shed for a month and no one returns our calls.
WE need help to get it done properly, HELP, HELP, HELP
Desired outcome: For the money I paid and the warrantey I recieved I expect a usable shed

Once I assembled the rubber maid storage box, I put the lid on and then noticed the two ends were damaged (pushed in) - obviously it was dropped during the horrible shipping process. I can provide pictures if requested.
I have tried and put hours into trying to get help with this problem - have spent a lot of time on phone and then get disconnected. I've gone the texting route several times and every time told it's over a 3hour wait and the working day is over and then nothing. I work long hours too and cannot call during most business days. I need help with this product - I do not want to pay for this damaged good and want a replacement sent out. Please, please help - this has been another horrible experience. I understand the times we are in but feel this treatment (lack of any) is not fair.
Thanks for your time
Paul
Desired outcome: very minimum I would like my money back for this one item and be able to pick up in store replacement once safe to go in again. I need to see what I'm getting on the spot
Credit card services
I received a replacement card and tried to register it to my account. I tried multiple times and finally called for support. After the representative wasted my time having me go through the same steps that I had already tried on several different devices. I was then transferred to another department who stated that the only way to add my card was to delete my online registration and re-register. This was the last straw with HD. It may seem "small" but it is always the small stuff that tips you over after years of bad service.
Toro smart stow self propelled mower
I purchased a Toro mower on Sunday 5/16/21. When I got home and opened up the box I didn't see a new mower. It was a very old Craftsman mower carefully placed in the box. I brought the mower back and got a replacement. My complaint is that things like this happen to me quite a lot. I'll buy a toilet tank repair kit only to find someone took parts out of the box. I brought that back as well and the associate put the box back onto the shelf right in front of me. The Nogales AZ store seems to have some issues that I've never seen in other stores. Maybe I should have gotten a discount for having to drive 17 miles back to the store? I mean really, whoever pulled this stunt had to have help on the inside. They could have brought back the box filled with rocks and the people there would put it on the shelf. I wish I took pics of this but I was so mad I just threw it back onto my truck and drove back to the store.
Desired outcome: Would like a rebate of some sort for all my troubles, and the store should really start to watch the people working in returns.

Complaint about customer service at the customer service department sales and returns

I sent in a batch about 6 months ago and never received the gift cards. I called in and talked to someone and they said they would resubmit and I would hear from them within 10 days. never heard back.
I will try my latest batch and see how that goes. I sent in my Menards purchases and received my within a couple weeks.
I will be taking much more business to Menards from now on.

Customer service
I bought a $ 350.99 lawn mower and asked if someone could help me load it. im 65 with a fused back. I was told rudely to wait off to the side. after 15 minutes nobody ever came and the lady that told me to wait just stared at me. THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME YOU HAVE NO LOADERS OR ION STORE HELP I CAN NEVER GET ANY HELP. I go to the local ACE store and every time I am met at the door and someone will stay with me until I get what I need. I applied once at Lowes as a store manager I did not even get a go kick rocks from Lowes just like the service. I believe in customer service and you have no idea what that is. I expect that you will not even respond to this, but I am saving it to send to your corporate office if I do not hear from you.

Home delivery
We have been looking at your patio furniture for about 6 months
and decided to purchase some patio furniture we have been looking at for my wife on Mother's Day and ended spending 864.92 and were excited about the free home delivery since we saw how big and heavy the box was.
We set up delivery for early Wednesday morning due to both of us having to work so my wife decided to go in late and wait on the delivery people to call and let her know exactly what time they might be dropping of the delivery
Delivery was just drop off in front of garage and nobody called or knock on the door
She could not get out to go to work and the pallet weighs about 300 lbs and my wife is 120 lbs wet, not happy with delivery service and will probably take my business to Lowe's next time
This was one of the worst service experience I have ever had and I am in the service business and I know I would have lost my job if I would just drop off that much product in the driveway and not told the homeowner that they were here. Not good.
We would've had liked them to drop of in our patio but I guess you get what paid for when you advertise "Free Delivery"
We will definitely share our experience with who ever ask us about Home Depot

Read full review of Home DepotOnline order, wrong address but notified them before shipment and they refused to help.
Purchased 4 items online through home depot on May 2, 2021. Received a email stating a delivery was coming and seen it was a old address from 12 years ago. I tried contacting them multiple times on the phone with no luck. I then used the text service and told whoever the situation and was told we can make minor changes but not a different address. I also should add I purchased a different item through home depot online 2 weeks before this order and no problems, they sent it to the correct address. I didn't do anything different and didn't type a address from 12 years ago. I was able to then contact UPS for the one item and had that shipment sent to warehouse for pick up and I'm not sure if I'll be able to pick up because hours are between 3-5pm only, work comes first. The next 2 items arrived over 4 days later to my old address a hour away, tried contacting fed ex the same day home depot blew me off and was told only shipper can make changes to order. The last item just shipped the day after contacting home depot and yes they sent it to old address. They obviously could care less about customers. I then contacted paypal mastercard and paypal decided to swiftly side with home depot because they had a tracking number saying the items were delivered. I now will no longer use paypal or home depot. It sucks and it's been a real pain with the added stress. I have health issues and now I'll have to take them to small claims court for 350.00 dollars.

We are so disappointed in the Home Depot 1089
In Ridgecrest CA! We called Thursday to inquiry about a flat bed trailer purchase. They stated only this Tammy person could help us purchase. Called Sunday to verify she would be there and the trailer was still there. Came in front desk girl tells us Tammy called out. We move tomorrow and need this trailer! We counted on Home Depot to help us, this is $1, 000 trailer that we needed. The girl calls a few people over heard her saying i can't get ahold of him. I told her can you call him. She said he's in a meeting….. Are you kidding me so a meeting is more important than helping a customer. Someone should always be in the store at least Monday through Friday to help sell trailers other wise don't offer them at all! The front desk should never tell a customer well I don't know what the meeting is about. Definitely want someone to figure their crap out and get that desk under some supervision
Desired outcome: Never will shop at another Home Depot
Credit card
I lost my job after being sick for over a month due to covid19, only through saving, stimulus, and selling all my cryptocurrency was i able to last financially for the three months i was off of work, I am not use to being out of work but when i tried to find work i took way longer than expected so i filed for unemployment but missed my Home Depot credit payment by 5 days. So I called them and asked if they had some sort of hardship program to waive late fee and possibly make payment the following month. This is Home Depot card (Citibank) Covid19 payment plan: pay 2 1/2 times monthly fee the next month and late fee waived only when you make a payment or file hardship of which you close your account and work on payments for balance... Capital One Covid19 plan: i have 4 credit cards all payments moved to following month and all late fees waived.
Desired outcome: No Compassion with home depot card which i believe is citibank?
