Hello, my name is Geneva Pickett I want to make a complaint on this company I had purchase a vehicle from this company in September of 2022 the vehicle I purchased had issues,it wasn't even in my 30 days it was only two weeks in and I had to take my vehicle to them to get it fixed I was fit to get a rental though Enterprise in Peoria When my vehicle was ready for pickup I return the rental I had put down a deposit of $50 and was to get my deposit back well I haven't received it yet it's been over 3 weeks , Enterprise said Byrider hasn't paid them yet for the rental so and when my 30 days should haved started over and didn't I am so unhappy with this company

Not receiving pa vehicle registration
Hi. I bought a vehicle ( my second from this Byrider). They have not provided legible proof of the Registration I paid for. Spoke to Grace last week. She put me on hold and never picked back up and did not transfer me to anyone else. She said, don’t hang up, we will figure this out. Been kinda crazy due to COVID. I received a phone call message from Stephanie asking to call her back. I did and Grace said, I have not seen her today… not saying she is not hereI just haven’t seen her. Hold on. Then connected me to Stephanie. She said that that she took care of it last week and then didn’t hear back…. I can send it to you via email. I said that was great because I had been pulled over by police, who were not pleased with the illegible paperwork that Byrider provided the day I purchased the car for proof of insurance. I felt like I needed to let someone else know. The cost to finance is high and I paid off my last car from them in full. A year later it is not functional. Please help.
Desired outcome: Get the correct legible paperwork and a way to formally put in a complaint. I feel like I have exhausted the other options open to me and gave them ample time to correct the issue and was put off for some reason

2012 Honda Civic
On 10/6/22, I purchase the 2012 Honda Civic at location 1007 W. Marshall Ave., Longview, Texas, 75604., Vin #2HGFB2F58CH581915, Tag #1657W58 with a down payment of $1000.00. On 10/10/22, as I was pulling into work I notice car running hot. At 3:30 PM, I via text Blake Thomas Selph, Sales consultant after unable to make contact sooner due being at work. Per Blake, Sale via text reports, "Set up an appointment." I drove the car home and notice smoking from engine with rattling sounds. Around 4:30pm, I contact Byrider again via telephone and spoke with a mechanic, not sure his name. I was told by him if the car was drivable to bring it back or I had to pay for a tow. Car was drivable and I did take it back to location on W. Marshall Ave. On today, 10.12.22 at 3:30 PM, I was contact via telephone by mechanic and was told that vehicle cooling hose has a leak and need a new engine.

September 7 I received my car a week later I already have problems they fixed it I called them last week my starter is going I have a leak oil very bad I have to put in oil every four days my motor is pinging now it’s missing so I stopped at the AutoZone they gave me a print out it’s not I’m stupid but it’s not the point the car is a 2012 I should’ve known better but I trusted them I already paid them at that $1000 plus a trade-in for my other vehicle all I’m asking and as I don’t want them to fix this car I want to be put in a reliable car that I’m not going to break down with my children and to get me back-and-forth to work I have spoke with Adam his name is he’s the main guy for the mechanics he’s no help he can’t get me in until October 20 and can’t even guarantee how long I’ll go without my car this is the reason why I traded my car in to get a different car to have a reliable car also Kevin is his name I was $200 short for my first initial point a payment I paid it but he threatened he had me believe and he was coming to pick up my car that weekend sales is the most best part of JB riders and they don’t get acknowledged they don’t know what they’re selling because they’re just given the car to sell to people I’ve asked for the big number of the owner and all I’m asking is no I don’t want this car fixed there’s too many things wrong with it I have had people tell me there’s a lot of things wrong with this vehicle I want them to transfer the money that was put onto this car it’s a 2012 they financed me and stated that the car or something like that was $15,000 they gave me a loan for $25,000 was I stupid for signing it yes I was but I was desperate in need I’m a single mom I need a car for my family all I’m asking to put me into a better car I have family members that will back me up that had almost the same vehicle and they got traded out for a different car so I want a different car and if I don’t get nowhere I’m calling WNEP
Desired outcome: I don’t want this car many people told me there’s a lot of different things wrong with it and if I had the money I would take it to verify everything wrong with it and I would have a print out that I don’t have

9/4/2021 - I went into JD Byrder and stated I needed a reliable car. When I returned with someone else to help me drive my previous vehicle, I notice something was wrong with the car. I went up to the door, but the door was locked. I called JD Byrider and there was no answer. I checked the car again and there was no gas, no filter, and the maintenance light was on.
9/4/2021 Saturday I called JD Byrider and they told the condition of the car and me they don’t do Maintenace on weekends. However, I had to work so I took the car to Midas on (car didn't have filter, needed oil change. Paid out of pocket
October 2021 contacted dealership and explain maintenance light was on. Dealership stated I needed an oil change and would pay out of pocket
Received oil change at jiffy lube
Jiffy lube stated I needed a mount on passenger side.
4/11/22 After getting an oil change form Jiffy Lube I was told I needed a mount on the passenger side repeated. Went to Jd byrider they stated I didn't need anything and that the car was fine. Stated they tighten a screw. Explain I would be able to drive vehicle up a hill or mountain. Paid 25.00 out of pocket.
8/22/22 - Car transmission was slipping. Jd byrider stated nothing was wrong and charged me for transmission fluid. Charged me 44.69
8/22/22 - Called Jd byrider due to the on-going car situation.
8/26/22 Chris from JD byrider told me to come in so he can inspect the vehicle again. He then told me to bring the car in 8/29/22
8/29/22 Chris said I needed spark plugs and he decided to put a battery in. Charged me 25.00
My car was with JD Byrider/ from 8/29-9/9/22. They gave me a loaner car with bad brakes, dirty interior, and the windows did not work. Chris said he comdid not have time to clean the car.
During the time period of JD fixing my car, the sent it to another shop. The shop said they only did what JD byrider wanted and flashed my car computer. I called corporate about my car and they said they couldn’t do anything because JD Byrider is a franchise.
9/9/22 I received my car again with the same problem. JD Byrider tried to charge me 800.00.9/29/22 I took the car to Midas for an exception. Midas stated it was my transmission.

I had an apartment fire. Lost everything. Switched jobs twice. I am a week late. I showed them my new job cycle. My first check is 40 dollars short of a payment. I told them I could make a double payment next week. They are not going to negotiate. I'm sure my car will be repossessed soon. This is completely wrong. Very displeased of this service. About the car October 15th 2021 upon signing the agreement I told them that there was some shaking in the front end they said they would take care of it never did so once I drove off the car lot the check engine light came on within 2 weeks the car was in the shop I had to tow it pay for it myself 2 to 6 weeks later the car was back in the shop same problems electrical this time they replaced my power steering pump got there and the power steering pump sensor still said it needed to be replaced the mechanic stated he couldn't figure it out take it to Buick I stayed in why would I take it to Buick when I'm under warranty here get it right the third time it happened my husband was in traffic on Highway 98 went to speed up to get around someone and the car died again electrical problems this last time we were going to do a U-turn and the car gave out so I called by Rider they towed it and charged me said I need some BBT things to go in my car and then the car would be fine a day went by did not hear from them drove over to Pensacola to find out my engine is blown. How can you replace Parts on the engine that's blown are they just fixing up the cars long enough to get you through warranty so then they can Finance it and or take your car like they've done mine they're not willing to finance the motor being replaced nor will they cover it under warranty nor will they give me a new car nor will they take it off my credit so now I'm stuck oh and in a car 13,771 and some change on my credit and a car that I can't drive

I’ve had my car a month 1/2 a couple weeks into getting the vechile I was having problems took the car in July 21st didn’t get back until that next Thursday was given the run around on when I would get it back even called Corperate. Got the car back that following week and was never told I had a payment due the 23rd due to changing job I would not be getting paid until the 7th of Aug the CNC knew this so I get a phone call on oh how sorry they are and hope I could trust them again (eye roll) and that they would make a payment for me was told for the 24th mind you I wasn’t getting paid the 24th due to having a new job so CNC said she would look into cause I was right we’ll it’s the 7th an I owe a car payment and I’m told that they can’t wait a hole month for a car payment so I would have to pay the 24th even tho I wouldn’t be getting paid at my new job until the 7th. The CNC lady had been so rude and yelling and threatening to take my car but I’ve made every payment so far also due to being out a week of work cause the mechanics took a week to fix supposedly a timing belt when get I got paperwork back it was numerous other things wrong also that I was never told about I am beyond fed up with problem after problem and I’ve only had my car close to 2months now this is bad service let alone horrible business especially when there CNC talks to people like we’re pee ons to the point I’m in tears mind you I have anxiety PTSD manic depression and talking to her and dealing with this business makes my issues so bad to the point I’m seeing my counselor a lot more then normal also came out of pocket talking to a lawyer about what I can do with this company they should be ashamed of they selfs really. I’m also still having car issues

I got a phone call today from the GM Kevin he was very understanding and respectful. My payment was taken care of and was all about helping instead of being rude about the situation. I’m very happy how well this was handled so again thank you so much Kevin your very much appreciated!
2012 Ford fusion
Bought a car at the Columbus IN location and issues from the start. Went through one transmission, and had issues a little after that transmission but claimed nothing is wrong but now it's having more issues. This is ridiculous paying 13000 for a car that isn't reliable and can't return or even exchange it for a better car. I bought the car in September of 2020 and have constantly had issues. They told me it was a brand new transmission in it but not quite sure why I'm having issues if all I do is drive it from work to back home. They claim they don't know how I drive it but I'm a mom. I drive it like any parent would, cautiously and at the speed limit. 6 months are having it I had to send it back to replace the transmission and they told me nothing is wrong with it to get it over the warranty so they didn't have to fix anything on it. I feel cheated out of my money and the GM there, Michael, is so rude to me and my husband. All we wanted was a reliable vehicle as we were promised but it has yet to be reliable. It's irritating since I told them what I needed and I didn't get that.
Desired outcome: Be able to exchange for a good family car (SUV) or get my money back for something family reliable since I have kids.

I got a call from a woman names Candance who told me I did not make my payment, and I was getting removed from the program, she was extremely rude. I did make my payment and I sent proof to the finance manager named Adam Amerman who was extremely helpful, he found out where my payment went. Also, I have had service issues with my car, and they have not been taken care of with the Kansas City Byrider either. They tell me they have no manager onsite for service. My convertible top leaks and my carpets are soaked, and I have no air in my car and this has been since day one. Kansas city Byrider people are very rude and have attitudes and I am about ready to give this car back. Purchased a vehicle in 2021 of January, had problems with said vehicle around February of 2022. Called service center for over 2 months leaving voicemails. What started as an oil leak now turn into my engine knocking and smoke from my car. I finally get in contact with someone at the service center who says they back up but I can bring the vehicle and they will look at it with a week or so. I take the car in, they call me a week later saying my car looks like it was in an accident which it was not. I’m explaining over and over how that didn’t happen and they are like well that’s the best way to resolve this is to file an insurance claim. I did nothing wrong so I’m confused why I should file a claim. I call to see about filing a claim and they tell me well if you weren’t in an accident why are they having you file a claim. So with nobody assisting me I decide to file a complaint. Then they call and say ok we will do the claim. I’ve never done a claim before so I’m constantly calling and asking about the process. I’m getting half information if any information at all. Then the manager calls and says she’s taking over the case and I’ll either get a new vehicle or my old vehicle fix. 4 weeks later I get a letter saying the car is back in the banks possession for abandoning it at the service center, but the whole time I was thinking it was gonna get fixed. After getting the letter and finding out the car is a total loss which no one reached out and told me. I’m told I’ll be eligible for some insurance loss program but there was no guarantee I would get a car. Then I get a call saying that JD byrider wanted to put me in a car today. I speak to the sales consultant to see what all I needed. I was told I needed $400 plus all my documentation. I bring all the things asked of me just to be told I need $1500 and my own insurance. I have never missed not 1 payment. I’ve done everything they asked me to do, I’ve paid every amount I was told. I haven’t had their car for almost 2 months yet I still paid my car note. This is not how you handle a loyal customer.

Sold a vehicle to me that is flooded
I went to JD by rider 9 months ago, And I’ve had nothing but problems. I have recently replaced the thermostat housing, water outlet, coolant temperature sensor, and the valve cover gasket, the wheel bearings are also shot which I knew from the beginning and they denied it. I have a hub that’s going. And now I discovered that my moon roof shoots are not hooked up. They are not hooked up at all so every time it rains now that spring has arrived I have water pouring down into my dashboard my speakers are filled with water my car is flooded. There have been other mechanical issues as well
Desired outcome: I would like a completely different vehicle. I have been disappointed with this vehicle since day one

My car and the warranty
My car started with an oil leak, I’ve been trying to get service for the last 2 months. Then out of no where the car starts making a crazy noise and releasing plenty of smoke, I finally get in contact with byrider services, dropped my car off and now they’re telling me the car looks like it’s been in an accident but it has not, I’ve been paying my note without fail as well as my insurance and now they are basically saying I have to pay for the damage myself which looks to be over $5000. My car was not in an accident so just because it looks that way doesn’t mean that’s what happened , looks can be deceiving. I feel like they are not trying to cover the things in my warranty even tho some things are covered. I

I've purchased 4 cars from Byrider. I've referred 5 people to Byrider, all of which purchased cars. They claim there's a referral bonus but I had to call every week for 3 months to finally get it. There's a $70 tow reimbursement but by the time I got it I couldn't cash the check. It was only good for 90 days and the shop manager had left it on his desk. I didn't even receive it til it was too late. But the worst of it, on 3/14/22 I traded the car in. The dealer was given a 10 day payoff amount of $11966.73 and sent a check for that amount. On 3/18/22 I made my regular payment of $202.94. On 4/12/22 I received a letter stating my account is officially closed but no overpayment check. I just got.off the phone with CNAC and they informed me that they just issued a check for a $33.19 overpayment, not $202.94. I tried to plead and argue my case but to no avail. Bottom line, I'll walk everywhere I go before I ever deal with Byrider's ineptitude or CNAC's greed, corruption, callousness and lies ever again and I STRONGLY recommend you do the same. Avoid Byrider/CNAC like the plague...unless you enjoy getting screwed over.
Desired outcome: The return of the $169 that is actually owed to me.
Continuously having the same issue with my vehicle
I finanaced a vehicle With jd byrder in 2021 months later the vehicle had an engine fire and I filed an insurance claim thinking I would be put in another vehicle but instead the vehicle was fixed they service center took 6months to fix the vehicle during that time I had to catch Ubers car pool and get rental cars missed work etc continuing to stay current on my car payments I finally got the car back 3 weeks later after having the vehicle I had to put it in the shop again for the same issue they supposedly fixed it I get the car back and two weeks later I have the same issue car smoking check engine lights transmission issues the car is just not reliable and is now becoming a danger to my and my children safety I’ve been the car in the shop 5/6 for the same issue contacted cnac and the issue isn’t being resolved
Desired outcome: Receive a safe and reliable vehicle some type of compensation for out pocket expenses due to being without a vechile for such a long period of time

I am not one to be rude or complain online or otherwise. However this company is a joke. And not in a good way what do ever. J.D. Byrider told my husband and I that we were completely approved online. After us finding out we were approved my husband talked to one of there salesman who assured us that it was true. My family and I have been struggling since my husband got out of the military financial. So are hopes we're in getting a new car so not only we could all go places together since we have 4 boys. But also getting better job. However it was a LIE. Not only were we Not approved after going down there and my husband spending the last 200$ on a Uber which they promised they would happily reimburse us. Which they didn't at all. And left my husband stuck an hour away from home with no vehicle. He tried to contact the corporate office with a very respectful email. He has yet to get a response. This is absolutely a horrible and just straight unprofessional company I have ever seen. This is how they completely disrespect a hard working father and Veteran. It's not only unimaginable it's straight horrible and Rude

Damaged vehicles
This company leases damaged vehicles at expensive payments. They will not answer or return phone calls about the customers vehicles breaking down or needing repairs. This company knowingly lease these damaged vehicles without the customers knowledge of damage these vehicles have and if you return the vehicle they still make you pay for the loan. Do not lease from here this business is unprofessional and dont care if you cant goto work if their vehicles breakdown and they ignore your calls. JD Byrider in merriville Indiana need to be sued
Desired outcome: Let us return this damaged vehicle and end our contract because we shouldnt pay for vehicles we cant use. Give us another vehicle thats operable or fix this vehicle we cant drive and if not pay for us to rent a vehicle
