KIA Motors 2013 kia optima sxl

I had 3 paint issues 1st one on the windshield pilers on both side driver and passenger side... the another issues on front of the hood driver and passenger side... now rear passenger side panel just above the tire where all 3 times there started to peel off... the 1st two issues got fix but the 3rd time had to call Kia Consumers Affairs spoke to a Jetta Ortiz saying how it was my fault that I scratch it who in there right me accuse any one of doing such a thing... after seeing all these complaints there should be a class action law suite to do faulty manufacture paint... now I see 2018 Kia Stingers being recall due to paint issues only prove Kia Sucks at painting there products.

KIA Motors customer service

I called in yesterday to speak to someone about the warranty on my 2015 kia optima. I spoke with someone named susan she gave me a case number [protected]. I just want to say to me this was the rudest customer service person I have ever spoke to about anything! I understand that I was not at my best either, but when you have a question about the warranty on a car that you have purchased you expect that person to have answer for you, not tell you that you have the basic warranty and won't give you any information except that "there are too many things covered to explain what's covered" then when you ask if a specific product would be covered by the warranty you are told "I am not going to answer that because I don't want you going back and saying well susan told me that would be covered" really? This is the kind of customer service I would expect from my cable company but not with my car company! I totally expect to trade this car in within the next couple of years and to be honest based on my experience with susan I won't buy a kia... Ever again!

KIA Motors kia sportage

To whom it may concern. I purchased a Kia Sportage due to the fact I have always respected the company and quality of vehicles. My Kia has a tad over 130, 000 miles and is in great physically looking condition. I was driving down the highway and it started clunking horribly and died completely. Always have been serviced on a regular basis I was shocked. I was able to roll into a nearby driveway thank heavens safely. After being towed to a shop, I was told I need a completely new engine at a cost of over 3400 dollars and that was a used Motor with 90, 000 miles on it! Didn't seem practical in any way. Therefore I have a vehicle out of warranty obviously sitting in our driveway that must be sent to a junkyard or such for a measly 300 plus dollars after we pay to tow it their. I am utterly disappointed as this vehicle should not be dead when it looks like a worthy vehicle. I am saddened by the quality and have multiple people ask me what happened. Being from a small community you may think it doesn't matter in the big scope of your business. But I beg to differ. I value companies who have vehicles on the road much longer than 130, 000 miles. This is a disgrace to your company on quality of product. Having a long warranty of 100, 000 miles shouldn't be defined as it will be dead soon thereafter. Please take this letter to heart and not shuffle it under some paperwork to be shredded. We miss driving what we thought was a quality vehicle we used to brag about. Devastated and can't return to another Kia vehicle that will end with the same results. Devastated in Nauvoo, Illinois. I would appreciate some type of explanation on why . We simply don't understand.

KIA Motors kia sorento 2011 model

Dear Kia Support Team

I am Tinku Chhetri from Bhutan, I have brought Kia Sorento in 2011 and I was happy driving when it was new. After few years I started facing problem with my clutch plate so i replaced in a local service centre because there is no service centre in Bhutan and even all required spare parts are not available in the showroom. I am managing to get spare parts from the other dealers but their price is too high almost more than double.
From last 1 year i am facing a problem in my car, after running for few kilometers engine stops and then i have to take out the key and put again and restart, even my car's pulling is down i cannot go beyond 100 km/ hr speed and it is worst when i drive on hilly roads, i have to apply 1st gear because in 2nd gear it doesnt pull.
I have visited one of the service center which Kia Bhutan has authorised but i want to say that there is no trained person in their service centre, they only replace parts with no results.
I this regard I want to seek help from your side to kindly help me.

My Contact No. is : +975-[protected]

KIA Motors 2016 sedona wagon — side mirrors

I have e-mailed both the service dept and the General mgr. of Omaha H&H Kia.
The side mirrors DO NOT work properly (fold then don't fold).
I do not care if they work, but I do not want to be held responsible when I turn in the Sedona when my lease is up. The service dept said they could do nothing to fix the problem, and the Gen Mgr. did not respond to my e-mail.
I want to be told that I will not be held accountable for fixing the problem.
I want an answer from somebody!

Yours Truly,
Dale Byrd

KIA Motors poor customer service and safety issue

Hi Just wanted to leave you a run-down on an issue that I am dealing with at the moment regarding a tire that I had replaced on my Kia Optima vehicle and what happened after the fact: On July 13th I was driving on the highway from Calgary to Edmonton and had a blowout on one of the tires. I contacted Kia in Calgary (Eastside Kia) and I got my vehicle towed to Kia Eastside to get the tire repaired. They finally got it done that next day at around 5 pm. They called me to say it was repaired so I got a Uber down the the dealership and picked up my vehicle. I then left to do the drive from Calgary to Edmonton again (which is only 2 and half hour drive). Part ways there I felt a shimmy inside the vehicle and thought it must be the tire again. When I got out of the vehicle to check it looked like to me the tire was coming loose around the rim again. I thought no way I just gotten it repaired so I kept driving. By the time I got to Edmonton I checked the tire again and it was pretty much of the rim so I knew it was undrivable. I did not hit anything to cause damage myself, as Kia was trying to say. I contacted the dealer in Kia Calgary and told them my ordeal and initially they said we subcontracted the tire job to Kal tire without letting me know this ( I assumed Kia did they tire). They said I would have to contact Kal tire and find out what happened and they also tried to take the responsibility of themselves by saying maybe someone tampered with my tire after leaving the Kia dealership. That is actually hilarious knowing that I left the dealer and went straight to Edmonton from the shop. What's the chances of someone doing damage to the same tire that 2 and half house earlier I got repaired. They weren't willing to help me at all. I always had good service with Kia in the pass having bought 3 vehicles from them in Edmonton so I was perplexed how they would try and shift the blame on me regarding the incident and not help me out at all. They said I would have to pay for another towing to get my vehicle to a Kia dealership in Edmonton and then pay to get the tire repaired again after just spending the money to buy the tire and towing and get it replaced. Obviously the tire either was not sealed propertly around the rim and caused it to leak air while driving. They told me I had to take the tire off myself (as if I am experienced at this kind of thing) and figure it out. A neighbour did take of the tire for me and immediately I noticed two cracks on the inside of the rim. I know Kia should have obviously inspected the rim on the initial blowout and would have advised me of any cracks. Also it looked like there was a tool imprint on the inside of the rim (makes you wonder). I called Kia to advise them of the cracks and they still said there is no way Kal tire would have caused that damage and it was something that I did after leaving the dealership to cause the tire to lose air again. I also found out during my conversation with them that after towing the vehicle to Kia for repairs, Kia attempted to put the new tire on, but after some effort, could not do it because they did not have the proper equipment to do so (I am now leaning towards them having damaged my tire while trying to get it on). They said they then took it across the street to Kal tire (without notifying me of this) and got three or four guys working to change the one tire (makes me wonder if the guys were experienced enough to change the tire since it was a low-profile tire on a special rim); I don't think it would normally take four guys to change one tire? Anyhow I am not putting the blame on anyone--that's not the point! The point is Kia obviously was not trying to believe the customer and made it look like it was something that I did. They refused to take any responsibility for what happened. There is a very low percentage that it would be something that I did to cause this after just getting this exact same tire fixed 2 and half hours earlier. My vehicle is still setting in a driveway in Edmonton undriveable waiting to get this issue resolved. I always thought Kia's slogan was the customer comes first! That certainly wasn't the case in this incident. I am very disappointed in the fact that Kia is a large corporation, and they would shun responsibility of getting a tire repaired over losing business for potential customers in the future. The bottom line is something was not repaired propertly in the first place and they refuse to take the responsibility. If that tire was cracked initially they should have seen that when they inspected the rim and called to let me know. They won't even contact Kal tire to ask them what happened. You don't put a new tire on a cracked rim so I am leaning towards they did something in the process and cracked that tire during repairing it. It also would created a hugh safety issue if I had been driving along and the tire came off again on the highway. I could have been in the ditch somewhere, possible killed. These issue need to be taken more seriously! I am trying to contact headoffice in Mississauga Ontario to let them aware of this ordeal, but there is no answer. Hoping to get a phone call from someone regarding this issue so I can get it resolved.

KIA Motors poor quality of parts in 2011 kia sportage - sunroof blind

My Sportage is only 7.5 years old and I have had numerous issues with this car.
My main issue now is the Front sunroof blind -shade. The blind has broken where it does not retract any more and it is just hanging down. Apparently this is a common problem with cars and the Panoramic sunroof. Why Put something like this in the car when it will not last the life span of the car typically 10 years. Seriously its going to cost Approx, $2000.00 to replace this and that is only if i can find someone who is willing to do the job as its a major job where the roof lining has to be removed. My warranty of 5 years has expired and coincidentally this is when things started to go wrong with the car. As far as I'm concerned I should not have to pay the full cost of the repair KIA should be stepping up to say hey in all fairness you pay for the part well pay for the labor or vice versa. I cannot relay how disappointed I am with this car considering it cost me $42000.00 just disgraceful.

KIA Motors engine recall replacement time

I have a 2014 Kia Optima SXL. The recall was done and I was told there were no issues with my engine in August 2017. On May 4th, 2018 the engine in my car seized while I was out of state. I have been without my car for 2 1/2 months now and they still tell me they have no time frame of when my car will be repaired. What is an appropriate time frame for repairs to be completed?

KIA Motors kia motors never bother to answer or respond my complaints

I've been complaining about my 2013 Kids Sportage so many letters I've even sent to Seoul HQ. Using DDMS seems to be blocked buy the Malaysian authorised dealer Naza Kia. I wrote to Naza Kia they also didn't bother to respond. My Sportage is a fuel guzzler. A full tank often can't even get me 300km. But they just don't care. I have contacted the local agent but there's nothing they can do since HQ dont bother. That's how good Kia or Naza is.

KIA Motors racism /customer service

I recently went to the kia dealership in St.louis Mo to get my power relay assembly fixed. The service rep gave me the part number and the cost of the part and labor. I then went online to purchase the part from a kia manufacturer to save mone because I also pay for college. Once my part came in the mail I called the kia dealership to schedule an appointment for monday July 9th for 10:30am. Once I arrived that monday at the dealer ship I also had to get my car towed there as well. As I walked in I was not greeted which was awkward then I gave the service technician all my information and proceeded to make my way to the waiting room. They stated that labor was only 1 hour to fix my vehicle. After 4 hours of waiting no one came and checked upon me they greeted and checked on every other customer expect me. I was the only african American in that building at the time. So after the very strong racist energy I was getting I decided to heaed to te front to ask them was everything okay with my car. They started to me they had forgot I was there and no one looked at my vehicle. So know I feel like the way they where treating me and how I was felling was accurate. Then they stated to me they didnt even have a technician to work on m vehicle because it is a hybrid. So after a 4 hours waiting no assistance or anything they tell me to find a ride home they will look at m vehicle tomorrow even though my appointment was for that day. They didnt care about my time or what I had to do. So the next day I called up there around noon to see the status of my car and they told me that something else was wrong with my car that I need to buy another piece so I asked the man over the phone can he give me the partt number and the break down of the price and he blunty told me "NO I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU THE PART NUMBE SO YOU CAN TRY AND GO ONLINE TO BUY IT CHEAPER" so know im feeling like they are treating me like this because I bought my previous part online and I just truly felt that is was some kind of racial prejudice going on I even went up there to speak to there service manger and he spoke to me as if I was uneducated I was a little girl that knew nothing. He didnt even reall try and hear what I was going through with his company and employees he basically brushed me off I wven tried to tell him when I walked in I was not greeted asked how may the help me etc. yet. As soon as an white person walked him the jumped to they feet to greet them. The whole experience was horrible I cried so hard I never in my life been treated that way.

KIA Motors delay in repairing my 2015 kia sportage - logistics delay of the cooling coil

Ladies and gentile men,

First I would like to introduce myself,

I'm Tarek Kamel, Purchasing and fleet manager of Abbvie (American Pharmaceutical Company)

I will simplify my complains into the following points;
- Since I decided to purchase almost 8 KIA sportage for the company and for myself, I took the decision based on the great reputation of the after sales services that KIA used to provide for their customers
- In Egypt, I believe that there is something wrong as I had a defect within the cooling coil as per the diagnoses done by KIA agent (EIT Katamya) for almost 3 months now.
- EIT Kattamya promised me to get the part for almost 8 times with no luck.
The weather in Egypt is very high, can you imagine driving a car with no AC. At all for 3 months in 40 degrees.
- I'm so committed to make the periodic maintenance in EIT and to stamp the warranty.
- I believe that there is something wrong with EIT logistics department for such delay- at least they can get the part through DHL as long as they are not able to fix my car for 3 months., Please guide me to the right way in order to get my car fixed.

My cars details
Chassis: 614812
Engine: 959293

Contacts of EIT
[protected]- Eng. Mohamed Gamil- Reception
[protected]- Eng. Ashraf- Workshop manager

Thanks and best regards,
Tarek

I got my car back nasty and with a huge door ding and scratch down the side of my brand new car. Did he care? No told us it was there which it wasn't. I will never come back here he was rude and disrespectful. Also I had air fresherners that would melt in the car and we called and asked them to take them out before they melted to my car. Got back and guess what the melted everywhere after we called 5 times to make sure they took them out.

KIA Motors customer service/ finance service

I purchased a used vehicle from Fred Anderson Kia automall in 5/29/2018. The purchase contract was completed improperly and, unbeknownst to my husband and I, the vehicle was and is still registered to the original owner. After contacting the DMV, the department of motor vehicle associate suggested we pay the registration for the vehicle that was traded in in order to avoid delinquency of expired tags. We did so and received the registration. However, we are not the registered owners of the "purchased" Kia vehicle as per the DMV, thus the tags/registration is essentially fictitious. Fred Anderson Kia, on the other hand, has not encountered any issue with selling and registering our trade in vehicle to a new owner. I have contacted the Kia dealer, our salesperson, and have made multiple attempts to speak with a sales manager to no avail. Unfortunately my situation is not of any importance to the same group of individuals that assured me that "everything would be taken care of" as per our contract. A new contract was signed and dated 6/27/18, and yet the registration issue has yet to be remedied and the vehicle I purchased is technically not registered to my husband or I and we are unable to drive the vehicle due to the registration/tag discrepancy. Furthermore, as per the contract, there is an outstanding "we owe" affiliated with the purchase contract that has not been fulfilled and the dealership will not provide us with a spare key to the vehicle. At purchase we were told that a second key would be furnished to us and, as expected, the key was never provided. All items listed in the contract have essentially been breached by the dealership and my husband and I have experienced a complete disassociation of communication between the dealership and ourselves. Would you be so kind as to do as to assist with this situation?

KIA Motors kia cerato

KIA CERATO
- We picked the car up in July 2016 from Eastvaal Motors in Middleburg.
- From the beginning the back windscreen wiper did not clean properly.
- Within the first +-6 months the car went backto Eastvaal Motors to have the clutch replaced as it was not selecting gears properly.
- Whenever we drove in the car it felt very unsafe. It felt like the suspension was loose. If you drove through adip or went around the corner it felt like the vehicle had a lot of body roll. We went to Durban in December
2016 and on this long trip the suspension felt loose and the shocks on the car were very hard.Very uncomfortable drive.
- When we returned from Durban at the beginning of January 2017 the car went back to Eastvaal motors. They
had to retorque the suspension as it was loose and this is why it was very unstable on the road.
- The brakes picked up a shudder within the first year of having the vehicle- later we were told this wasbecause the brakes got hot and then got wet and cooled down to quickly and this caused the brake plate towarp. The vehicle also had a bad vibration inside the vehicle when idling. If you opened the bonnet and
watched the engine thenyou could see that the engine was vibrating.
- As we stayed 80km from Middleburg, the driver from Eastvaal motors bought the car back to us in
Groblersdal. When we got the car back from them we noticed the paint on the roof was bubbling and their
driver had managed to get stone chips all over the front of the car. On taking this up with the DP at Eastvaal
motors he said they would have the paint seen to and they did.
- Then we moved back toRichardsBay.
- After a couple of months of getting the car back from Eastvaal motors we noticed that the shine of the paint
on the bonnet and where they had resprayed the car was fading. As we were now in Richards Bay we took
the car to Kia Motors in Empangeni.
- There we were informed that the vibration in the vehicle was a faulty pulley that was replaced by Kia Motors
in Empangeni.
- They also had the paint assessed as per request from KIA SA and it was found to be a faulty spray job that
was done in Middleburg. After numerous emails with KIA SA to this day the spray job has not been corrected.
- At this point, the 30 000km service, is where my husband noticed that the head lights have hairline cracks
throughout them. Also when the rubber that covers the plastics with in the car gets old or is left in the sun
for a long period of time it gets sticky and the Centre console in the car is very sticky. It does not matter how
you try and clean it.
- It was at this point that my husband asked to see when the warranty on the vehicle started and it was here that we
saw that the car was manufactured in December 2013 but seen as 2014 model on paper but first registration
was to us in July 2016, 2 and a half years later. We double checked this by doing a VIN search on the Kia website and the VIN
search also told us it was a 2014 model and not a 2016 model as per the sales/purchase agreement.

Also with our insurance policytyres have a 5 year lifespan and the tyres on the car have a date of 49/13, which means they were made in
the 49th week of 2013 and according to our insurance company we would need to replace the tyres inDecember 2018 otherwise we forfeit our insurancecover and as of today-4/07/2018 our car for us is not
even 2 years old with +-37000km on.
- Another reason we became weary of the car being an older model, iswhen I was driving the car to work
somebody pulled in front of me and I pushed the hooter and just under theKia badge on the steering wheel
the plastic cracked or split.
- As of 2 daysago, 18/05/2018, there is a horrible noise coming from the exhaust. It sounds like something
inside the exhaust is loose, there is exhaust vibration.
- There is also a deeper drone sound to the exhaust when accelerating.
- We get an average millage of 9.8L/100km. according to the internet and the specs of the car we should be
getting an averagemillage of 6.7L/100km and on a full tank we should get about 750km. we have photos to
show on a full tank we get about 440-450kmto a full tank.
- We have reset the trip meter like 50 times and it starts out normal and then picks up.
- When you take off the car has a point that surges while accelerating, it feels like a dead spot.
- Progressively the clutch is getting worse as gear selecting is not a smooth process and on the odd occasion it
does not want to select a gear again.
We have asked Kia SA to help Eastvaal motors take the car back however Kia SA is not prepared to assist.
We are tired of not getting what we paying for. What else must we do? To keep our insurance we must replace tyres? When a person buys a new car surly a person should expect to have new tyres on the car and not tyres that are 2.5years old already? Please assist as we do not know what else to do with this car. It should have been disclosed to us that the car was manufactured in January 2014 and we would never have bought the car. People please advise on options for us to take this forward.

I've an urgent complain about Kia distributor and Service agent in Kuwait.
So, please advise me where to go and complaint.
I am now four years since purchasing the Kia Rio 2014. I have many problems with the vehicle and every time the agent here checks it and the vehicle enters for maintenance by the agent for a period of 3 -5 days and sometimes a week and the vehicle comes out with the same problem and with new malfunctions.
You can check your vehicle record from the dealer system.
After sales service here in Kuwait is very bad and the technicians are untrained and do not have any information about vehicle malfunctions nor how to fix it.
Vehicle Problems:
1) High sound of machine sound when changing speeds.

2) Noise sounds from the machine while driving.

3) The presence of voices in the foreground at the stop of the vehicle .. When you enter the service center to repair the voices became in the front and back.

4) Last time the vehicle entered for maintenance came out with all these defects in addition to the presence of a voice on the front panel.

5) When standing in the vehicle, there is a loud sound and a loud noise in the vehicle .
And more…..

When asked about the lack of repair or complaint here is not responsive and lack of interest to the customer, which harm the reputation of Kia ancient company.

When entering the vehicle for maintenance in such breakdowns take a long time from them so they can find or solve the problem and do not give a replacement vehicle until the completion of the repair of the vehicle, causing us financial and literary damage.

Please i want to fix my vehicle well and check everything in the vehicle by professional technician.

KIA Motors oil change

I took my 2011 Kia serento Sx V6 model to have oil changed a month ago, upon getting it done, they told me I had 3 oil leaks and when they where questioned where and how bad they came back and stated it was just condensation around gaskit. A week later I had my timing seal fail and start leaking. I was quoted 2 different prices and ended up paying $700 for replacement. 4 days after seal was replaced my engine started making a dry knocking noise upon start up first thing in the morning. I checked oil and noticed the oil only measured right below bottom line of dip stick. Kia was called and I spoke to Sean in maintenance department and told him I was going out of town but my oil was low and I decided to not take vehicle, he said to bring it to shop Tuesday because Monday was a Holiday. I brought it up to shop to explain what has occurred and they said to return Thurday for a rental so they can look at vehicles. I was not called for a little over a week and when my brother went to shop they had my engine parts on the dirty concrete and they told him someone should of called me to tell me it was my "cams failing" and it would be close to $2000 to replace.. I was told that lack of oil wouldn't cause them to fail, and that it was milage of the vehicle which is funny bc I did NOT have this knocking untill the timing valve seal replacement and lack of oil they failed to put in it. I had another mechanic look into the problem and suggested I change the filter just in case my engine wasnt getting proper oil in morning after it sat over night. Once we removed cover from oil filter and pulled filter we noticed it was EXTREMELY dirty and had silicone particles in it. Filter was taken up to kia and we were basically blown off and said there was nothing they can do about it.

KIA Motors kia sportage, sensors going out just after warranty ending

I purchased my KIA Sportage brand new in 2012. I did a lot of research and liked your automobile plus the extended warranty of 5 years, 50, 000 miles made my decision as I am single and did not want to worry about any repairs. My car has just over 50, 000 miles and know I am getting ck engine lights. Peoria Kia said it would cost me $740 to replace an intake manifold. Plus they said the transmission sensor needs replacing too. They took 5 hours to give me the bad news and then could not fix anything wanting to keep my car overnight. I live 2 hrs away and that wasn't going to work. I then took my car to Mark Kia who did a diagnostic also and they showed the same manifold sensor and no transmission sensor. Their charge was $475. Quite a difference. My problem is why am I even having these problems. I thought this was a very good brand of car, that I would have for many years and feel safe in it. Are these sensors timed to go off after 50, 000 miles? Everyone knows the money is in the service department. I already have to mess with the fuel credits each year, which is a pain. Is there anyway Kia would extend my warranty another 25, 000 miles. Just in case I have more issues. I would appreciate a response. Thanks
