I worked for Kmart for 33 years and after a serious accident where I was forced to retire, I applied for my pension. I have received 2 sets of paperwork at 2 separate addresses, showing incomplete information. I sent the final completed copies in mid-September and called again in October to verify that my pension was being processed. I was told that my pension check would be processed 45 days from the date of my last completed documents and the calculated date was for November 19, 2012. The person on the phone verified that everything was completed. I called on November 20, 2012 to ask why my check wasn't deposited and was given a new story. They claim that the final paperwork wasn't received until late October which would be a lie. After being persistent in asking for a date of when I would get my check, she finally said 'probably after January 1st because the last useless representative claims I didn't send the final paperwork until the late October date. I have had to delay payments for a hospital bill because of Kmart's lies to me and of course the hospital put me in the credit bureau because they don't believe me anymore. I asked to speak to someone hire up and was transferred reluctantly. I don't expect to get a call back. I have searched the Kmart/Sears website to see if I can send an email or make a call but there is no contact information. I tried their feedback option but it is only for merchandise or stores. I tried their 'help' but it only provides a blank page. Is there a chance that I am not going to get the pension I worked for? i defended Kmart for many years out of loyalty but not anymore and I will never shop there out of loyalty again either.

does anyone know why every time you call its a different answer. There was a post on here yesterday that said one batch had already been mailed. That post is now gone. What gives?

that was not good, i called that number and they just told me another 7-10 days...i could cry. My family really needed this for repairs from the hurricane we endured, and to make christmas somewhat joyus for my children
WHAT? Why does one call the exact same number and they first batch is mailed and you call and its another 7-10 days. Something not right either with them or some posts here. Guess all we can do is just wait and see I guess...
It was Ing I contacted, they rec'd paperwork, but not given ok to even cut my check yet. he said give another 7-10 days and that the dec 17th was just informal info the other number was given...i guess the 1st of december was as well
Ok thank you for that update. Do you have number for Ing? And is the 7to10 days when we should receive? or when they will be mailed? Kinda looks like not before christmas? Thats a big suck for us!

my due date was nov 19th for paperwork...if you were sooner, you may get lucky...i had the last of the November dates

All I called the new number posted and now I'm really upset. My check hasn't even been mailed yet. Se said I could call in one or two days end see if the status has changed. Bt for now no check.

I know, thanks for trying to make me feel better...but with the holidays USPS is not the most reliable, just wish they had sent for us all to receive on the 17th as one of the stories they told us...the mailing in the beg of dec would have been nice time

Ok - let me get this straight since I had a hard time reading some of the postings. The day your check will be mailed will be based upon when your paperwork was due. For example, my paperwork was due by Nov. 16th, so my check will be mailed Dec. 14th? Hope this is true!
