returning diapers from baby shower
My spouse and I were bought diapers at a baby shower that we cannot use. For medical reasons we are using cloth diapers. We took the diapers back to shoppers with receipts and the cashier refused to refund us in any way other than in shoppers gift cards because the purchase was made on debit. Since shoppers does not sell cloth diapers, these gift cards are useless to us and we do not want them. We are requesting a full cash refund. Also we had one box of diapers with no reciept, however, when the cashier scanned the box it showed as being from shoppers drug mart. She still refused to refund us. Shoppers so far has been the only department store unable to make any accommodations.
online purchasing
I wanted to purchase a perfume online today but unfortunately after calling several departments I was told that the system is experiencing technical difficulties and I would have to wait 2 business days in order to log into my account. There was a gift included with the online purchase (a stella eyeliner) as well. Now I have to wait until Tuesday to make a purchase and I am pretty disappointed.
poor pharmacy service
I had already stopped supporting this location due to a mix up in medication on one occassion and extremely rude service another time when I needed medication short notice due to leaving town and was told "I should have thought of it sooner" but today was a whole new level of disregard. I have not got my own pescription from this location in a year but due to my pharmacy hours I had to order some emergency meds through the location. It was faxed prior to opening, I called at 8:30am to ensure they received it and stated it needed to be easy for 4:30 the latest as I had time between work shifts. I arrived at 5:00 (asked for 4:30 as they normally take forever to begin with) and they still had not processed my order. The owner was very rude about this but due to having our visa I asked if I could pay for it and have it delivered for my spouse. I then had many issues about them putting my work benefits through which I had used there in the past, had given them my information this morning to ensure it would be ready when my spouse was to arrive (I decided to stop because I had the time instead of making him go and thankfully I did) and they argued with me my benefits would not register. They wouldn't double check until I refused to pay full price then realized they had entered the info wrong a few mins prior. Aside from myself there were 3 other indviduals all there complaing about similar issues.
This location is awful, the phamarcy is extremely slow and the phamarcist who runs it is incredibly rude and argumentative. I drive 25 mins to the next town to access shoppers if I need them.abd I utilize a totally different pharamcy company all together. Very disappointed as I like to support local stores or locations.
washroom use
Hi. Coming to shoppers this morning has horrified me terribly, as well as my son. I visited the store located at
361 Trans-Canada Hwy, Duncan, BC V9L 3R5 on the morning of Sunday may 20, 2018. My son is quite sick and I had to take him into the store to pickup his medicine, during this time my son had told me that he was about to vomit and have diahreah and needed a washroom. I asked the lady at the till to use the washroom in which I was denied. She told me they don't have one. I explained that my 4 year old son is about to get sick on himself and needs a bathroom right away, I'm which she just said "go across the street to burger King" however, at 9 In the morning the other store was not open and it was across the way. My son and I left and he vomited on himself and had a bowl movement in his pants because he is very sick and unable to make it to the bathroom in time because your staff denied us access. This place is a pharmacy, sick people have no choice but to go there to pickup medication and often require a restroom if they are sick. Being denied the washroom especially for my 4 year old son was absolutely horrendous, disgraceful, disrespectful and outright discusting that this had to happen to a child because of your staff and their policy. I truly hope you speak to the owner of this store so that it doesn't happen again to anyone, as this should never have happened in the first place. I am outright horrified by this situation as it is completely unacceptable.
If you choose to follow up on this matter in which I strongly suggest you do, my email is

a small fan for $16.00
I had made a special stop to do a return at Cambie St & 16th in Van BC. It was 10:30pm I had taken the bus just to do a return knowing it wouldn't be an issue as I just bought the item on May 5, 2018. I had my bill approached the cashier she called over another employee I think a supervisor MARY JANE. She informs me NO RETURNS BUT I HAD MY BILL AS WELL THE ITEM WAS A FAN...I said it's too loud I like to return...she says NO I was shocked why I have my bill and it's not suitable. I thought to myself first wow very unfriendly and direct. She said NO RETURNS ON FINAL SALE ...I said huh final sale firstly I wasn't told nor sales on the receipt...she said she take it back to Marine Drive store where you purchased I said I'm sorry this is an inconvenience for a customer, I could understand with no receipt plus I made a special trip on a bus at 10:30pm I was shocked how MARY JANE WAS SO STRICT AND DIDNT CARE ABOUT INCONVENIENCE AS WELL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would understand WITH NO RECEIPT BUT I HAD ONE .but to make a customer go back to the original location to do return is unacceptable. I thought to myself this is how you are with a staff member which I wasn't looking for any special treatment just a return but she didn't care and that was that...I said I DO NOT BUY FINAL SALE ITEMS EVER...still she couldn't care less and told me to go back to Marine Drive to return. I'm sorry it doesn't matter if I'm a regular customer or a staff member I only thought to myself wow this is how you represent SDM as we are all 1 family of business...as far as I was concern I said that's fine I will deal with head office cause to me this is very wrong on all levels and she couldn't care less attitude NO was the final answer...I said that's fine here keep your 2 gallons of milk I was gonna buy and I will deal with this at your head office store level.
As far as I'm concern I understand completely but for inconvenience and the customer has the receipt and the item was not advertised on a sign or stamped/written FINAL SALE. I thought wow what if I was a regular customer NOT STAFF THIS IS HOW CUSTOMER SERICE IS HANDLED. I know 100% ALL SDM IS ABOUT CONVIENCE NOT INCONVENIENCE. Very sad how customers are treated and made to go back to original store where purchased. I'm sorry I'm my eyes it's not about the customer it's about a refund that wasn't bought at MARY JANE'S STORE. If I'm wrong then I will understand but I'm not wrong, is this how a team player represent SDM? I'm sorry I will not give my business to this location again nor my prescriptions. I FEEL AS A CUSTOMER MARY JANE NEEDS TO KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE REALLY REPRESENTS ON BEHALF OF SDM SINCE WE ARE ALL ONE FAMILY. Inconvenience and I had to wait 20 mins for another bus and I made a special trip to do this return only late night, I'm not impressed and I thought what happened to making customer happy? She lost a sale in the meantime for 2 gallons of milk vs not returning the fan for $16.00...the milk would cost me $10.00 with tax approx so for $6.00 she tells me to GO BACK TO THE ORGINAL STORE WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND I HAVE TO SPEND BUS FAIR AGAIN AND WASTE MY TIME. As well I was in a motor vehicle accident and this is a huge inconvenience and poor customer service. If something is FINAL SALE THEN HAVE THE CORRECT PROCEDURE IN PLACE. I'm positive a lot of others would agree.
antibiotic prescription mistake
Date of Incident: May 14, 2018
I had a doctors appointment at 1pm (doctor office on the second level of the Shoppers Drug Mart).
Doctor's appointment was for my ill 2 year old who had high fever for 4 days and Tylenol was not bringing down the fever anymore at this point. I made an appointment for my family doctor that morning for 1 pm (earliest appointment available) as I much prefer seeing my family doctor rather than a walk in. As soon as we arrived at my doctors office, he called us in right away. He then checked her and said she has strep throat and he is prescribing her amoxicillin (she is prone to infections). I then go downstairs around 1:20 pm and go hand the prescription over to the drop off location. They told me that it will be about 25 minutes for the medication. I said, ok, and shopped around while I was waiting. Mind you I had a sick 2 year old who was burning up with fever and she would not go down and made me hold her the entire time standing up and walking as she didn't want me to sit down. I then was trying to waste time, and noticed a lot of people (4 others who came AFTER me) also waiting for their medications. I looked at the clock and it was now 2:45 pm. The finally called my name at 2:50 pm and I just grabbed my medication and left as I could not hold my daughter any longer and I still had to pay for my other items at the cash register ($111 worth) and I had to get back to the car as soon as possible. I got into me vehicle at 3:00 pm. I drive home (I live 40 minutes away), and I got into my house at 3:45 pm. I grabbed my daughter and told her that we will go inside now and take her medicine that the doctor gave. I open the bag, and I noticed it was white and said, oh look, this time they gave a different flavour. I go to shake the bottle and here powder. I was very furious and frustrated as I just drove almost 45 minutes home and now I cannot drive back with my child who was already so sick and in pain. I phoned the pharmacy and a lady answered and I explained my situation very angrily and she said oh we are sorry but its ok, u can mix it there as long as I have bottled water. I told her I have distilled, she said its ok that good too. they told me to then put 60 ML of water in a measuring cup and dispense half of that into the powder and cap it and turn it upside down and swirl it gently in between my hands. She told me to make sure I don't see white. I said I still see some white at the top. She told me to shake it a bit to make sure not to see white. I told her ok, I do not see white anymore. she then told me to pour the remaining water inside the mixture and cap it again and shake it a lot. I did that and she said its done. I said ok, she then told me "I hope they put a syringe in there for you". I looked, and of course they didn't. I said hold on I think I might have kept the syringe from last month when she had to take the antibiotics. she said ok good. I then told her thank you and have a great day, she said the same.
What I would like to know is, my insurance company was most likely charged a dispensing fee, which, this was not even done at the pharmacy. This took place at my house which was absolutely ridiculous. Also, how do I know that the mixture was properly done and my daughter is getting the appropriate medicine? Also, I was very angry and had an anxiety attack from all of the aggravation of all of the events that happened within the last three hours with also a screaming child who was in unbearable pain.
Please advise what will be done as I see this was not necessary for a mother to have to go through this with a young child who has also been in and out of hospitals for the past year and a half with infection and infection.
Thank you,

service and supervisor issues with a disability
Hi
I was at the Toronto Eaton centre location 220 Yonge St. on Saturday May 12.
I asked the individual at the cashier counter to please provide me 2 bags and make sure you change for for both of the bags, when I checked the receipt they only changed 5 cents for 1 bag.
I suffer from a disability OCD obsessive compulsive disorder and require the receipt to properly show all of the items purchase include the bags, since I even said to "make sure you change me for 2 bags"
How may times am I to say 2 bags to the staff, they need to listen to clients instructions, you need to train your staff to do so or you will loose clients this way.
I would gladly pay the 10 cents for 2 bags, therefore I had to return all the items at the same time.
I asked for the Manger, and explained my disability and her name was Sue or Susan, and she did not appear to care, and only said we will give you a refund and seemed to laugh, I said srry is not good enough my day is ruined as my disability prevent me from buying things if not done properly, she did not care and did not offer any store gift credit or so, very disappointing behavior they would treat someone with a disability in such a manner. Would Shopper Drugs Mart treat someone in a wheel chair the same manner. Regardless a disability is a disability and should not be laughed at.
I will be filing a complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Commission also, and will proceed to contact your head office for resolution.
Thank You
I live in Toronto so wish I could maybe someday.
I mean I need to treat them as a child meaning now I have to actually check the cash register screen to make sure it says 2 bags before they print the receipt so I have to go the extra mile now and more effort for me to buy something since even when I say as clear and concise as I can 2 bags please, they still appear not to understand so I am at a loss, either they do not care or do it on purpose either way its makes my life more difficult each day.
Thanks for your comments
I only asked for a gift card to see their response, as I assumed they did not care at all or even try to understand.
I make it a point each time I go to shoppers to ask to "Please change for 2 bags, or even 3" so there is no misunderstanding, I did not realize I had to check the screen before they print the bill and treat them as children but I guess I have to now.
Its impossible for me to shop, takes months at times to buy things, depending on weather, ect and half the things I buy I throw out when I get home, since either they added it up wrong ect. But this time I was upset a lot and rather than go home and throw out another $50 worth of items I asked for a refund at the store.
And that is not all, since I returned something, and now my bags and receipt are in their trash that means I carried something that is now in the trash, therefore my mind decided for me very fast that the rest of the day was over. I had to go home, could not buy anything else since once I return something, the idea of carrying items and then letting someone take them back means I touch bags receipts that are now in their trash, and OCD hates trash and contamination. So I went home and tried the next day to buy the same items again, and oh ya that day was ruined also since when I got on the transit a dog sniffed me and contamination again so I went home and threw out $50 worth of items. On average I throw out $200-300 a month of brand new things, since I don't have the energy to go back to the store once I leave the store. OCD is poison and I would not wish it upon anyone.
Thanks
Actually I do not want anything from the store, having OCD also prevents me from taking a free gift card since it is not something I bought, if you spent time to read my complaint you would realize since I cannot take items with no bag charge likewise I cannot take free items, also you have no understanding of OCD are you a Physician.
It is very complex and as terrible as a physician condition same as a wheelchair.
Do you spend all day to o to 10 stores to buy paper towels since each time either it rains, or the bad is ripped or someone with dirty hands touches it ect.
You should enlighten yourself on the condition before you make comments on something you do not even understand.
Regards

I was at shoppers located at markham and 16th. I waited in line for 10min because the customer in front was having issues. When another lane was finally opened and it was finally my turn I asked for a lotto ticket. I was told the line was to long and I couldn't get a lotto ticket. I waited my turn and it takes 10seconds to print a ticket. There is always so issue with the shoppers and that's why i'm finally filing a complaint. How can u deny someone a lotto ticket when the machine is working? Please educate your staff!
points refused
On Wednesday, May 10 we needed a number of items most of which happened to be on sale. For that reason we did no wait until Senior's Day on Thursday, but still bought a total of approximately $125.00. We do not have the Shopper's flier delivered and I often pick one up as we go shopping, reading as much as I can while shopping to find specials. This time the flier (for the first time) contained a number of printed coupons which I did not have time to further scrutinize. When we got home, I realized that we could have gotten 10, 000 points on a purchase of minimum $40.00! Since we were looking for some items not on special, we went back on Thursday hoping we could be given the points on the previous purchase. We were told this is only possible if we bring back all the items to ring them through again! The other option would be to forfeit the senior's special and get the 10, 000 points on Thursday's purchases.
I do not think it is fair to (a) refuse the senior's specials and (b) to print coupons in the flier without drawing attention to them somehow and how they are to be used on the day one is shopping. The cashiers were not very sympatetic either!
On may 10/2018 I placed an order ONLINE for 2 Acqua Di Gio after shave lotion for my husband. When I place the order online I could see on the right the amount of points I can earn for my purchase, BUT no place to enter my optimum card number. Of course with the amount of points I could have earned I am having a [censored] of a time running after my earned points I can understand that 43, 000 points represent $43.00 for me but I did place a purchase of $162.72 worth of after shave. I'll know next time NEVER to order online and frankly I had the choice to buy it somewhere else for a bit lower price I should have done that my mistake.
Thanks Shoppers I'll shop for any perfume somewhere else.
customer service
TD centre location which I frequent a lot. At check out I asked for a bag. Then once I paid she did not give me a bag so I asked for one. Then came the snarky comment that well they are .5 cents which I would have paid when she ask if I wanted a bag. Long story short it was very busy so I didnt bother responding. Had my hands full with other bags so I just left and in the process left the Diet Coke I paid for. Horrible service. Don't know her name but it was about 440pm. Short with a big mouth. For the amount of money I spend at Shoppers I don't need this bad attitude and won't be going back and will make sure to spread the work on Bay.
customer service
Hello, i am complaining regarding the customer service of cosmetician. Actually, i wanna do some shopping for my mom in cosmetics section but unfortunately I could not. I asked the cosmetician about the anti aging or any wrinkle free face cream but then she got busy with customer and then 5 to 10 minutes she came back and asked me about the cream but i said i am still looking for cream. Further, i asked her about olay or loreal products but she denied and said I don't know nothing about these products. I just want to know if cosmetician don't know anything about other products then why she is working there. Atleast she should have some knowledge about other brands too.
beauty boutique
Shoppers Drug Mart - Charleswood Centre
Store Number: 553
After many awful experiences over the years, I felt compelled to inform you of the terrible way Rose at the Beauty Boutique makes me feel. If she can make me feel that way and I likely earn 20 times her salary, how must she make the average person feel? I have spent hundreds if not thousands there since moving in the neighbourhood in the early 2000s. Rose has a way about her that makes you feel like you are beneath shopping in that area...as though you can't afford it. She makes up her little gift packages and wants you to beg for them. It's outrageous and I hate to think how the young girls and young ladies feel therefore I am advocating to them today.
After asking about mislabeling of items, I was informed that the price was simply for certain colours. Well this time I took the time to investigate. The price was labelled at $3.99. An average person would love that price...but when you go the the counter it rings up at 11.99. Another way to make someone feel as though the have to beg for the correct price. The 3.99 label is visible with a 7.99 price crossed out and then hidden under that it says 11.99...She can't even take the time to follow me to that product (while there's 2 other girls working with her and none of them are busy). She looked right at me and I had to walk over and the young clerk came over to help. This young lady informs me that the sale is for all colours. Once at the counter to refund me $8.00, Rose rolls her eyes and walks away. No apology, nothing. Again, OUTRAGEOUS.
This woman gets her kicks out of ruining peoples days.
It's time for her to retire or change her ways in a big way.
life brand pads
Last month I purchased the life brand pads heavy flow pads. I had no issues at first and change my pad very often in the day, particular on the fourth day of use i was on the third pad change of the day and noticed a rash in my groin area. I discontinued use and noticed the rash getting worst and more painful. A few days later there was so much pain i could not wear underwear or anything touching my groin area. it felt like a burn that was not getting better and painful to touch. i had to get mediated power because it was a chemical burn that i received. it took 4 weeks to heal I would not recommend this product. I have horrible menstrual pain already so this rash made things much worst. I am only using organic pads now. I am requesting a refund for the horrible pain and discomfort i was in for buying this cheaply made pad!

Story:
I don't post very often but I need to share this story. Shoppers drug mart
Two days ago I had major jaw surgery in Halifax and when I left the hospital I was given a prescription labeled "urgent" in bold letters at the top. I had a previous jaw surgery and had my prescription filled at the saint john west side shoppers even though the service was terrible and the girls were mean and made me wait an hour even though my husband expressed to them he had just driven me back from Halifax and my pain was extreme. They had no sympathy. They responded with nasty looks and said they were busy. I accepted this and we waited an hour and went on our way.
Today we arrived back at this shoppers after me having major surgery with a prescription labeled "urgent" on it. My mother had driven me back from Halifax with me being wired shut and so swollen I could barely breath and in desperate need of medication. I told her to go back to this shoppers because I was desperate and had already registered with them thinking my mother could run in and grab it even though my past experience had been bad. I didn't think it could get much worse but it did. My mother returned to the car in a rage after being treated poorly by the pharmacist at shoppers. She went in and gave them my prescription and with no proper greeting the girl responded "45 minutes!" and then got mad at my mother when she accidentally handed her my son's medicare instead of mine. She tried to explain to her it was an emergency and was there anything they could do to help and the girl's response was "we're busy!" with a nasty look on her face... Same experience as last time. My mother came out to the car extremely upset and then proceeded back in to wait.
I struggled my way in there so swollen I could barely breath through my mouth or nose and holding an old bloody hospital towel. As I walked up to the counter I already knew which girl my mother had been dealing with cause that nasty face stared at me my whole way up to the counter. Their immediate response was that their systems were down even though they knew my mother and I were desperate and she had been sitting there waiting. Instead of saying we should try somewhere else they let her sit there with me choking in the car after having driven 6 hours from Halifax. My mother always shopped at Shoppers, my father, my husband and myself and I now have a condition that will require a regular pharmacy. That girl looked at me with the nastiest face she could produce and I snatched my prescription from her and went across the street to Lawtons and they took one look at me and rushed as fast as they could go to get me my medicine and on my way home. While the people at Lawtons were helping me my mother went back to Shoppers in a rage and asked them if they had any sympathy at all for their customers. Their response was it wasn't their fault their systems went down after a request was put in. No appology, no sympathy, no remorse whats so ever and nasty [censored] faces on top of everything else and basically told my mother they didn't give a [censored] about their customers. The main girl's name was Hilary. Beware if you see this girl!
I will never step foot in a Shoppers again. Today Shoppers lost the business of my mother, my father, my husband, myself and whoever else I convince to go to Lawtons for their extraordinary help and customer service. You can thank Hilary at Shoppers West Saint John and the nastiest look I've ever seen come at me with my being wired shut, swollen, bruised and bloody. I plan on sharing this message everywhere connected to Shoppers.
customer service
Visiting the LaSalle, ON Shoppers Drug Mart on 4/18/18 ended with disappointment. Having worked as a cashier at Shoppers Drug Mart myself for 8 years, through high school and university, I understand how important it is to greet customer and use manners. I feel it is time that management remind staff to use hello, please and thank you. Both front cash and the postal counter in the back (young and older staff) could use huge improvement when it comes to greeting customers.

My doctor prescribed two medication, but they gave only one mediation when my husband pick, he asked that had two medication, they told " no only one mediction". I called and asked they repeated again and again, that only one medition was prescriped, then I asked I want to see the original prescription, then only they asked me to wait and told ya, you have two medition, you can pick in twenty minutes. When I went to pick the medition, that time also my missed medication was not ready, and when I was asked they replied your medition was picked by someone, then I explain again from start, then only they started to pick the medication. They didnot appoligies, and they talked loud our system is new, thats why, what can we do? This is not responsible answer. How will people believe ? From today I could not believe their service, I have doubt do they give correct medition to everyone? This is not jsut businees, health issue. I believed shoppers drgmart than other pharmacy, today I lost my believe and I will spread to everyone because everyone must where of what mediciation doctor prescribed and do they gave correct one. Pharmasist assistants and technician are very careless, they diddnot realize there fault.
pharmacists
On the morning of Wednesday, April 25th, I attended my local Shoppers at Kerr/Speers in Oakville, Ontario to have a prescription filled. I handed the script to the assistant and she informed me that the item comes in 3ml sizes. I made no comment and she explained no further. I picked up the prescription, the pharmacist having told me how to use the medication and was handed the package. When I opened up the prescription in my car, I noticed I was only give 3ml instead of the 7.5ml requested by the doctor on the prescription request, which I would like to point out is not even half of what was requested. I returned to the store and pointed this out to the pharmacist and she told me that "doctors don't always know" and that the 3ml she gave me would be enough for the 7 days of required use. This information was not provided to me at the time I submitted or picked up the prescription. I pointed out to this pharmacist that I thought it was inappropriate to take this decision without consulting me and she challenged me; wanting to know if, after the 7 days, how much of the medication was used. I am quite alarmed by the fact that this pharmacist felt it within her power to arbitrarily decide that less than half of the quantity of medication prescribed was sufficient to deal with the problem and, more importantly, that she felt it was unnecessary to consult with the patient prior to making such a decision or with the doctor. I have been having prescriptions filled at that Shoppers for close to 30 years and have never encountered such a rude and disgraceful employee. If this is the prevailing attitude of a pharmacist at this location, I will me more than happy to have my prescriptions filled elsewhere.
gift card
My husband and I purchased a gift card for my mother in law for Christmas at the Pickering Town Centre location. Unfortunately when she went to use it, it didnt work. The representative at the store confirmed the funds were there, but stated she would need to get a replacement card and provided her with a number for customer service. We tried the number twp times. The first time we waited on hold for 55min and the second time 35 min without anyone answering. In my opinion that is a completely unacceptable wait time (i haven't had to wait on hold that long EVER). We wish to receive a replacement card. I can provide a photo of the card if required. Thanks.
diffected container
On April 21/18 I purchased a 2L jug of "Life" hand liquid soap. The sales staff placed in one of your plastic bag in which I then placed this on the back seat of my car. I arrived home and brought the bag into my kitchen. That's when I noticed that the cap on the jug had come off. There a stream of soap from my car all way to the kitchen. Half the jug had spilled and seeped into the car seat. I have attached pictures.
I attempted to clean the seat myself but could not wipe off the soap on the fabric car seat because it only created suds. Today, the following day, the soap has left a dark stain and is very sticky.
The only solution I have is to have the seat professionally cleaned. I do expect compensation as my only solution now is to have this professionally cleaned.
poor customer service
Hello,
Today I have visited the Shoppers Drug Mart in Langley, BC, 22196 50 Ave, V2Y 2V4. The sales associate Stassie, cosmetics department, was extremely rude and arrogant with me. She doesn't have people skills and the right attitude to work with people.
Please create the self-checkouts at this location, it will speed up customer service, and will help customers to avoid interaction with rude sales associates. Thank you. Disappointed customer.

Cashiers need a reminder on how to greet customers!
Having worked at Shoppers Drug Mart for 8 years as a both a high school and University student I specifically remember standing behind that cash register. I also remember greeting customers with a hello, please and thank you. Sadly, the Windsor and LaSalle locations in Ontario need to remind their staff on manners. Particularly, the Canada Post cash in the LaSalle store needs to be reminded on politeness. Too often these cashiers won't offer a hello let alone a please or thank you.
