Exchange policy
Bought my mom a Christmas gift on husbands account unfortunately it’s too small so we went to do an exchange for a larger size yesterday only to be told we need a gift receipt together with the original receipt and my husband to be present as he is the account holder? No where does it says the account holder needs to be present on exchange or return! It also states on your legal terms that an original receipt or gift receipt is required. So I’m now confused as to why we were not permitted to exchange the gift for a larger size? Never less my husband is now taking off work to go the store and establish why he needs to lose work time in order to make an exchange. He might close

I was standing in line and the man at the counter told me he will call me but then as I was standing waiting for him to call me two people came and he helped them while I was standing and waiting for him to call me I went to the manager and I told him what happed and he went to speak to the guy working at the counter I am very unhappy about how truworths staff treats customers I don't know is it because I am coloured I was called out the line but I'm not happy... the gentleman was working in elements on 15 December 2022 at 16:00 hours
Truworths waterfront, racisim from another black woman
On Wednesday 14th of December 2022,i went to change a blazer at one of the truworths branches ,i was told that they cannot exchange and i should go back to the century city branch were i bought it ...
Firstly there was only one cashier to assist ,the lady behind me in the que was the only one who got an apology ,the manager there is very unprofessional
Now i am stuck with a garment i cannot fit because truworths waterfront refused to take it back

On the 01/12/2022 I received a reminder about paying my account and it was an sms with a link that I uses to pay my account however I received a call this morning at 7am the number is +[protected] after that I received an sms reminding me of paying my account and I am confused because I have already paid using the online option and it was a link sent from Truworths. Will you please assist because I have already paid.

I went to Truworths Alberton today to make a purchase. For some reason unknown to me they claim I failed the verification at head office. Now I know for a fact that is a lie. I was unable to purchase anything amd told to go back tomorrow.the shop is packed amd I was made to feel like some kind of fraudster by your useless head office incompetent staff. Anyway, I won't be wasting my money on Truworths any longer. I will be taking this further
Blocked my account
I am so disappointed and disgusted at the level of service offered by Truworths. I waited 45 minutes in the queue, eager to purchase my clothing items. Upon my arrival at the till, the cashier advised that my account is blocked and he is going to contact head office. I had to wait for a further 15 minutes for the cashier to provide feedback, only for my query to remain unresolved and cashier advised that I need to come to the store tomorrow to complete verification. I left the store feeling that embarrassed and and ashamed. I don't know want to be a customer any longer

I called Truworths customer service at 9.28Am on the 29 November 2022 to query my account, As the online shop was showing my account is in arrears. Payment was made about 72 hours and my account was not updated, I spoke to the agent very politely and explained payment was done 72 hours ago. Prior to that the agent did confirm she could see my payment, I requested my statement and she poit blank declined me with no reason and I sadi that is nonsense, She should be able to give me a statement showing that I am not in arrears, The agent did not seem to be a working mode and just ignored me, I shouted to get her attention and when she did acknowledge me she dropped the call and that is rude and frustrating and very unprofessional. I would appreciate this matter be taken seriously and addressed. There are lots of people looking for work out there and would appreciate and do the job with passion and not treat a customer like this agent did. I asked her name and that was when she dropped the call. That is rude and first excuse would be if working from home that she has intenet issues. That is just an excuse and passing the buck on somewhere to get out of the problem she caused.
If there is a statement if she was working from home that her internet went down, I would like a report proving her internet went down.

Refund not processed for item not collected
I purchased an item online order o303901678 but was not to collect so it was returned back to the distribution center however I have not been credited for this on my account. I have been struggling to get a clear answer. This is unfair treatment yo a customer. What I do not understand is that I did not collect the jersey so where is the item. The Phoenix plaza store said it was returned because I did not collect it. I collected the fish tail top from office London and returned it at truworths cornubia. The orders somehow got mixed up because the jersey was supposed to be delivered to office london and not Phoenix plaza branch. I need truworths to find the order that was sent to Phoenix plaza branch that was not collected by me and subsequently returned back to the warehouse.Surely there are records.
Desired outcome: To be credited for the item I did not collect.
Ridiculous fees
I got a call from a consultant today, 07.11.2022 demanding I pay R520.00 per month. I tried explaining to the consultant that I had made arrangements with Truworths to pay R200.00 per month as this is all that I can afford at this point in time, The person insisted I pay R520.00 and demanded my banking details. I explained that I am a pensioner and that's all I could afford and the person said that they will deduct the money as soon as my pension reflects on my account and that they will charge me every time they call me! How do you harass old people and why did I make arrangements if you are demanding I pay over and above what I can. Your service is appalling and a disgrace.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology and for you to acknowledge that you have on record that I can only afford R200.00 and you to stop calling me and harassing me. I have been a loyal customer for many years to be treated so poorly

To Whom It May Concern,
I am a long-time customer of your company and I was very upset when I recently purchased one of your products only to have it be defective. I bought a pair of Superga on the 6 September 2022 and worn it twice and underneath the sole has a cut. (attached is a picture) This is a first for me when dealing with your company, I am definitely not happy about the outcome and would like you to handle this complaint swiftly.
Whenever I have purchased items from you in the past, I have received high quality products that I am proud to use. This time, however, I am appalled at the quality, and I wonder how you could allow such a product to hit shelves at all.
I would hope that this is simply a once off thing, as I do not want to believe that this company has gone downhill so quickly. I am requesting in this matter I would like to receive my money back, as I do not believe that this product was delivered up to its standards.
I am not trying to be difficult, but it seems as though too many companies are now offering substandard products and expecting to get away with this. I will not stand for spending my hard-earned money on an item, only to have it not only be defective.
I sent the product back to the shop and the description that the cashier put on query is incorrect

15 October 2022 I went to Mitchells Plain Prominade Store and was about to make a purchase using my wife account. I produced her original ID card with my ID card. The attendant took my wife ID and ignored my ID card.
After ringing the purchase she went ack to store manager who was assisting her on folding the items and said but this is not his account and the manager told me no that is fraud you cannot use someone else account.
I did not argue but felt deeply hurt because when I go to store to pay cash on her account they accept the payment but when buying she said it is fraud.
In other words wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain.
I am not happy about her wording and treatment and felt as she was either labeling me or insulting me in front of other customers and fee l that she must be though not to only respect the customers but to correct her wording she is a store manager for goodness sake and should not be treating people unfair.
Desired outcome: She must be trained to use correct wording, respect and must be able to overcome buying objectives. She did not even offer me a chance to use cash instead.
Truworths Online
Online order was placed 19 September 2022. No delivery received to date. I'm been billed and interest accumulating.26 September I called their online call center complaining no delivery received an need the delivery by the 29 September the lady advised that they will request the courier to puck up the dress from the store on the 26 September. 28th September I called again they said they escalate the matter.called again on 29th September said they will escalate. Than I contacted the courier direct spoke to a lady that agreed to change the address so I can get delivery on the 30th Setember. I was I formed I'll only get delivery 3 Oct. Jihad to cancel the order because my daughter part is the but I'm still charge for item n interest accumulating. Truworths made no attempt in sorting out their mess up while I'm charged for a item that was not delivered. Only time they followed up was when I called in.
Appalling Client service from Earthchild Clearwater store manager
Clearwater mall is the most convenient store to shop at but not very pleasant customer service. On several occasions i have had a bad shopping experience due to the appalling client service offered by the superior of that store. She is rude to other employees and does not display any professionalism nor respect for other people.
On the 19th of September she assisted me on the till and her body language was negative, she did not even acknowledge nor greet me when i entered the store nor offered to assist me and when i finalized my transaction at the till she was rude as usual and even called one the employees to complete the transaction as she needed to go to the bathroom.
On another occasion she was training a new employee at the till when i needed to pay my account and she was irritable when the new employee asked for assistance to process the payment. As she left the till leaving the other lady to figure it all out, i offered words of encouragement to put her at ease.
I do not know her name, but she is a bit tall, slender and with fair complexion
Desired outcome: I suggest that she be taken to some of customer service training so that she can equipped with necessary skills to perform at the best of her ability. As for me i will never shop at Clearwater Earthchild store

i got an sms telling me to go to a store to collect my card, I went to the truworths branch at Westgate, assisted by this young man who gave me a slip voucher, i asked him that should i not be collecting a card and he told me the slip he gave me works as a slip.
I went to a branch at Maponya mall the following day to make a purchase and i was told i need the card. I'm not sure what you as the reader make of this but this is Definity incompetency at its highest and what frustrates me more is that i did ask him that should i not be receiving any card and he said no, which at that point i walked off with this slip.
I am aware that this sort of complaint can easily be seen as a valid compliant with the ombuds and you would have to make a payment to the ombudsman which is unnecessary. I demand the card i was supposed to collect be delivered to this address 11093 Mafu street in Dobsonville before friday along with an apology letter.
I plead you meet my demands at a speedy rate because i dont wanna approach the ombuds, but will do so next week monday

obr jeggings and jeans
I've purchased the OBR Jeggings & Jeans and I'm truly disappointed.
Firstly these items are over priced especially considering the quality. We as customers go through the inconvenience of putting a dent in our pocket just to receive excellent quality unfortunately Truworths fails to deliver excellent quality.
The OBR jeggings I purchased in April 2022 started stretching within the fourth use and I would like to add that my clothes are hand washed. It was very embarrassing that the jeggings tore whilst I was at the store it was fortunate that I had a long jersey so the tear was blocked. It had a total of 2 tears by the inner thigh and the colour of the jeggings was fading very easily.
I thereafter purchased OBR jeans and within 5 days of using the jeans started to stretch. The jean is absolutely uncomfortable and cannot be worn without a belt. The jean by the inner thigh has lint balls. This created such frustration as I threw away 1 jeggings and 1 jeans in a space of 6 months which costed me a total of approximately R1500.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund or my account to be credited for these items.
Monthly installments
I stopped paying because I wan on unpaid maternity leave,my last payment was at April,the last email I got from Truworths says I only have until the 03rd of September to pay for my account before they hand me over.
Now I am trying to pay online it's not allowing me
I am calling them they say they cannot help me because my account was handed over to Blakes and Associates,I am hurt by that because I thought I was given until the 03rd of September,this will damage my ITC a lot.

Desired outcome: I would like Truworths to take back my account from Blakes & Associates as they are the one who made a mistake.
Debit order
I set a debit order for every 15th of every month but Truworths always delay theirs for 2 days or 3. This has been happening ever since their first debit order an I complained about it but up until now it hasn't been resolved. Mind you, I always shift my funds after 2 days of my pay day to other accounts when I assumed that all debit orders have taken place. Then aome this nemesis called Truworths in the evening of the second day with e returned debit order, and since I'm using a premium card, the charges are also premium. You can be so pathetic🤞
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

Returning of items to store
I visited Truworths Centurion Mall on Friday 5 August, to exchange two items. Purpose was to exchange a dress with a similar item and tight leggings with an item lower in price.
Upon my arrival, i was advised that I can only exchange one item (dress), because it did not require the store to give me change - pricing was exactly the same. For an item that required change, because I paid with a debit card, the store could not reverse the transaction or give me the cash difference. Manager and Teller mentioned that they did not have the money to pay me back the difference.
I was given two non-negotiable options: 1. I take the returned clothing item back home and come back with it when they have change, or 2. Wait for a cash customer to get my money back.
I was not please with any of these options, because:
1. Driving to a mall is costly
2. I could not wait for a customer. I only visited the mall for a quick drop off, I was rushing to a meeting.
We could not get to an amicable solution with both teller and manager. They were set and stern in their decision.
I left the item that could not be exchanged in store with the teller and manager. My ask is for Truworths to send my money back.
