Cosmetic department
I went to purchase Este Lauder foundation today at your branch at Greenstone Mall in Edenvale, Gauteng. There was NO CASHIER to help me. The lady that hangs around the shop, could only give me the product that I wanted, but could not work the till. This was 11:20 Tuesday the 27th of June 2023. The assistant did try and phone someone to come and assist me, since the person that was supposed to be there "went out quickly."
I waited for a while and then left the foundation at the till and walked out. I am absolutely disgusted in the service.
Desired outcome: Train your staff properly, and ensure that they are on duty all the time, and not just when they feel like it.
Faulty cell phone
On the 4th of March I purchased a Samsung A23, After downloading /transferring my information/apps I noticed that the phone got extremely slow, freezing constantly, the battery was heating up and much more.
On the 05th of June I took the phone to the pavilion branch, the consultant advised me to remove all my apps/information from the phone, I then proceeded to the chatsworth branch after erasing in info.
On all of the documents that I have signed and as per the CPA it stipulates that the consumer has the option of receiving a new device or a refund.
However truworths has taken it upon themself to replace my phone. The customer service is terrible, I sent an e-mail to [protected]@truworths.co.za last week.
To date I have no feedback.

Harassment from Truworths consultants
Good day, my complaint is about my Tuworths account which was R25 or R26 owing for more than a month. I didn't go an pay it because it was not that much and I would have gone and settled as soon as I was in town again.
The constant calls the rude consultant, some saying why don't you go and pay your account on a Saturday morning as early as 7h00 in the morning. for R26...
The volume of c, this happened about 3 weeks ago on a Saturday morning, all that for an amount owing for R26 was insane. So bad that I am seriously thinking about closing my account after my last purchse is paid up, and how would feel if I went to social media about the bullying by the consultants from Truworths, you wouldn't appreciate it. Neither do I appreciate being harassed for a R26 account this is outrageous. Then to top it off they decreased my credit this was while I was still owing just over R26.00 not thousands or hundreds of rands. R26..
I have paid my account and I pay more than I should most times.

I like to put and complaint regarding the Gateway store.
I have been a customer for many years with Truworths 25/06/2023 after 1 pm my self and my wife to Gateway store. My wife came across with a beautiful jacket attached mark 50% when we looked at the price it was mark R115. When we took the jacket to the casher on the system shows R1150 wow its was shocking then the casher said are you sure I have said yes. I when back and got the marked R115. Their after the teller said will check with management where by the manger came and to me its an human error. I have to the manger that fair its and human error. I have told him that I want the jacket that mark R115 he said that he cant not help. I have ask the manger that how can your advertise something on the floor when its incorrect price he says its human error and there over 20 jackets mark @R115. As soon as he know about they quickly remarked the jackets @ R1150. The question there no checks done nor proper he/her checking for advertising.
Faults advertising I like some sort of feedback. Please find attached pics unfortunately the price mark @ R115 was changed to quick like nothing happened. i need some feedback. this not fair to customers.

I walked into Truworths men and started shopping, I got called back by the security guard P Dwangu standing at the door. I went back into the door to find out why he wanted to talk to me. Im so disappointed I got a suit jacket from the marked down area at truworths liberty promenade the jacket was marked down from r1599.00
To r109.99 I took it asked one of the workers if its the right price the lady answered yes its r109.99 so I stood an 1hour in a line just to hear at the till that that is not the right price the price shows r1100 on the system but shows reduced to r109.99 twice on the product I want it for r109.99
Credit and 1000 voucher to spend
I have received a email saying that I qualify and they gave me 1500 credit and 1000 voucher... Identity is connected to truworths? I received a 1500 credit from identity and I bought goods and I wanted to be delivered to I have proof of the order (identity) now i'm very very tired of sending emails about truworths that I have the re agreement with them that I can buy for 1500 and 1000 vouchers I find it very very unexpected that they never phoned me I tried to purchase from truworths online and when I check out it ask for my debit card.. I have bought some goods at identify and they had to delivery it today between 8:00 to 5:00 pm i have credit for 1500 and 1000 voucher both at truworths and identity.. I have registered at truworths when I go on the online shopping all my details are on at truworths I'm having a horrible experience with both companies.. I'm sending emails after emails and they keep telling me the same thing over and over i am waiting 3 days now for a proper answer.

One of my online order still have the Store tag on it , I called the call Centre they told me I can wait up to 2 week . I was very impressed with you fast delivery. I do online shopping due to the fact that I don't have a Truworths near me. To wait for 2 weeks for something to be relaced is very poor service . I wanted to wear my Hoodie this past Friday to a outing but could not. I am very disappointing.
It has been days sins I filed a complain and still no reply or solution to my problem . I want to know what are you going to do about my hoodie, its not my fault but you as Truworths expect me do deal with the problem alone its very unprofessional and poor service . Good evening,I'm Mrs Ndaba MJ.I opened truworths account using my mobile phone.I got a message that my application was approved.I just need to take my ID to the branch.I couldn't do you because I was busy at work.They kept on calling me at work and I asked to be called on my cellphone after work after 4pm.The last time I was called I explained to the gentleman who unfortunately didn't get his name not to called at.He said they tried my mobile phone several times but they failed to reach me.He couldn't take it when I explained that most of time when I reach home there's loadshedding.After that conversation I got a message that Truworths has declined my application I should try after 60days.I want to understand why was I not declined all the time.Can you please provide me with reason why I couldn't qualify.

Listed as a default even though I made a payment

My Truworths account([protected]) have been listed as a default on ITC even though I made a payment on the account.
I also sent proof of payment on the 25.05.2023.
I tried several times to get hold of the debt collecting company(MBD on email) to which I never received any correspondence. I was requesting a settlement letter, no correspondence was ever received. I have proof

Herewith I want to share my most humiliating experience at any shop ever. On 20 April 2023 I received an sms wich says the following:
Celebration time! Here's R150 off R450 Truworths fashion voucher to enjoy for your birthday. Magda, use no. 154914 in-store by 15May23. T&C's.
On my birthday the 10th of May 2023 I went to Truworths Middelburg mall, to use the mentioned voucher. My husband accompanied me. I took a view items including a doll for my daughter whom had to go to the hospital the following day. When I got to the paypoint, I took out my Truworths card (which I do not use often) and showed the cashier my sms with the voucher code. She took my ID and walked to the back to make a phone call. When she returned there was alot of customers in the queue. She said that the card is not valid and broke the card infront of everyone. I asked her why she is breaking my card and she said, because I do not have an account. This happened infront of the other personell as well as the customers. Leaving them thinking that I might be a fraudulant person. I am deeply saddened by the way this happened. I am saddened to say that I even felt going to the news paper regarding this matter. She did not even ask me if she can destroy the card, which was my valid Truworths card. I am sad to say that Truworths is the worst customer experience ever.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and an apology as well as the status on my account.
Refund policy
On Tuesday 30th May 2023 my wife bought for me a pair of hemisphere snickers at Hebron mall when she brought them home the did not fit on me.
And on Wednesday 31st May 2023 I took them to Letlhabile mall for exchange and they did the exchange and when I get home they were too tight on my feet then on Thursday 1st June 2023 during my lunch time I went to Truworths at Brits town and I told them I want a refund as I no longer want the snickers.
And they told me that their policy of exchange does not agree that after I made the second exchange I cannot get a refund and the only option I have is to do an exchange within 30 days period.
I searched their refund policy online it doesn't say anything about return of the second product.

Organisational communication between Swakopmund and Windhoek
On 31 May I went to Truworths, Swakopmund to purchase a mans jacket. They did not have the size I wanted but I convinced them to look for one and eventually they said that Truworths, Wernhill has the jacket and size that I want. I then signed a form to have it picked up by a family member in Windhoek, gave his details, etc. and they said they will arrange for it.
After many calls to Swakopmund Branch and Wernhill Branch (who never answer the phone!) I was told to go back to Swakopmund branch today and start all over again. Not only are the staff clueless but they do not care either side enough to just call each other and have it ready.
My family member was there twice yesterday and will go again today! Is this really asking too much! Must I be the one to constantly call each branch and ask if it is done and is the jacket ready!
Desired outcome: If I do not succeed today I will seriously close my Truworths account
New account advertising misleading
I have had a Truworths account since last year June. With a R500 Credit. When opening my account I received all these vouchers for purchases however have not been able to use most of them because of the credit limit. My account is paid every month via debit order and sometimes I make additional EFT payments. When I called in to ask for a credit limit increase I was just told no sorry it happens automaticaaly but to date nothing yet and I missed out on all the vouchers for opening the account. Having no debt except my truworths account and no credit limit increase and the lack of assistance from Truworths to look at my profile manually I am led to believe the vouchers they offer you when opening your account is a scam and misleading advertising to get you to open the account. Why offer you these vouchers if you can not even make use of it and if you pay in the difference to use the voucher they list you on the credit buarea as going over your credit limit and this effects your credfit score negatively
Desired outcome: My credit obligations to be looked at correctly, my credit limit to be increased and the vouchers I received whcih expired to be reinstated
Unable to exchange underwea
I purchased Men's briefs instead of boxer shorts on Saturday 20th May 2023, I phoned the store and customer service on the 23rd May 2023 to enquire if I am able to return the items, I was informed I am not able to. The items weren't worn it's still in the same packaging as how I purchased it. The receipt states that I cannot return the goods without protective slip. I have purchased bra's and exchanged this also (underwear). Why am I unable to exchange the bras but not the briefs. The value of the items is R819.00, I am not able to pay for items that I have no use of. I am very disappointed in the service I received.

On the 2nd April 2023 I made my account payment account number [protected] via EFT a few days whent by and I was contacted by Truworths for non payment which I disputed and send them proof of payment immediately and even phoned head office and send them a few emails showing proof of payments they then send a SMS that payment was received.Only to find they still sending SMS and phone calls showing the account is in arrears on the statement this is now showing my account in a bad light and they are still charging interestCan something please be done as I don't know who els to contact to rectify this error.No reply from all emails

Missing items
Got a perfume gift set but one of the items were removed or stolen from the box. Went back to the store to complain and exchange it and they just could assist and all the boxes are supposed to be sealed but were not. Is this how Truworths operate by getting there staff removing items and let the customer pay full price? This is so unfair towards the customer and Truworths does absolutley nothing about it? The wheel turns and soon this stores will also no longer exist in a couple of years becos of staff that steals!

Racism and embarrassing
Dear Truworths Head Office,
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a deeply concerning incident that occurred at your Truworths branch in Rustenburg Mall on the 13th of May 2023. As a loyal customer, I was shocked and disappointed by the unprofessional conduct and mistreatment I experienced during my visit to your store.
Upon attempting to make a purchase on account, I was singled out by a cashier named Isabel Putu, whose employee number is 2024497. Ms. Putu demanded identification from me, while no such request was made to other customers making purchases on account. Not only was her request discriminatory, but she also treated me with extreme rudeness and disrespect.
In light of her behavior, I respectfully asked Ms. Putu to speak with a manager regarding this matter. She claimed to be the store manager, which I found hard to believe, considering the way she conducted herself. When I requested her details, she dismissively mentioned that they were imprinted on the receipt. Unsatisfied with her response and Poor Customer service skills, I decided to seek out the store manager elsewhere.
Following this encounter, as I was leaving the store, the anti-shoplifting beams went off, triggering the security system. Subsequently, a security officer began accusing me loudly of theft in the mall, causing significant embarrassment. It was later discovered that Ms. Putu had failed to remove the magnetic tag from my paid item, resulting in the alarm activation. To my astonishment, the officer proceeded to conduct a thorough search of my belongings, removing all the paid items from my bag at the entrance, in full view of the public.
As an investigations officer in the security industry myself, I was deeply disturbed by the manner in which the search was conducted. Such behavior is highly unprofessional and not in line with industry standards. I believe that any search should be carried out discreetly and with utmost respect for the individual's dignity.
I sincerely hope that this incident is not representative of the values and principles upheld by Truworths as an esteemed retail brand. I have always regarded your company highly and have been a loyal customer for a significant period of time. Therefore, I kindly request that you thoroughly investigate this matter and take appropriate actions to rectify the situation.
I would appreciate your prompt attention to this complaint and a timely response regarding the steps you intend to take. Restoring my confidence in Truworths is of utmost importance to me, as well as ensuring that incidents of this nature are not repeated with other customers in the future.
If this email is neglected legal action will be taken accordingly.

My name is Reinhard Swanepoel, one of my employees has opened an account with Truworths [protected]) and based on the messages that is coming to my cellphone, he has not paid his account for some time now. Even though I phoned in to the accounts department explaining to them that I am not the account holder, I am still being raided with phone calls and messages asking to pay "My" account. This is starting to invade my privacy as the phone calls does not stop, I have tried blocking the numbers, but the accounts department uses different phone number to make their calls.
I instruct Truworths to STOP contacting me! Stop phoning me please!

I have been called every day for 4 months and it’s the wrong person.
I tell every person to remove my number.
I’ve spoken to ‘supervisors’ and yet they keep calling from a new number everyday.
This is an invasion of my privacy.
