I didn't apply for anything but they sent a card through mail to my residence.
I didn't apply for credit as I am still young and I don't want to be liable for something I didn't apply for.
I am not sure how and where they got my details as that is invading my privacy.
This is unacceptable as I tend not to get involved in such things but I received things in my mail that such a surprise because I haven't even responded to the the email that they sent me

Hi, I been with Truworths since 2019 not once have a had a problem with them until rencently when I skipped one month of payment with them, because I no longer work full time because of COVID 19 but I managed to make payment of R470 on 27 May 2021 but I keep getting calls that I still owe I told the lady it's best I make arrangements because o won't afford making double payment my balance was R1200 when I made my last payment, how do I make arrangements with them so I can stop getting calls everyday even though I have already communicated with one of their consultants

I bought a Samsung J4 core from truworths highveld mall on the 15th December 2020 then 2 February 2021 it started troubling me it has been on repairs 4 times and as I'm writing this it's on repairs.
Desired outcome: Replace the phone with another one or credit my account
Uncomfortable scratchy bras
I bought a twin pack Truworths bra on Sunday.(2 days ago) Put them in the wash firtst before fitting (Covid regulations) and when i fitted them they were the most uncomfortable, scratchy bras i ever bought. I am so very dissapointed. I cannot wear them. It leaves the skin at the back of my shoulders where the straps are, red! I trusted Truworths to provide quality merchandise. Im very sad to say that i would rather not but underwear from you again and think twice before i buy my clothes there again.
Desired outcome: Take back the inferior/faulty bras and either refund me or give me a voucher to buy Playtex bras from you

New account application was not provided full information about the expiry date for activation of account.
I made an online application on the 10th of April and I received sms to state it was approved however no one advice me that there was an expiry date to activate the account. I received another sms on the 30th April. I went to the Ladysmith store on 23/05/21 to activate my new account following a telephone call on Friday from a consultant reminding me that my account wad approved. She didn't mention that my application was canceled. At the store I was told that there is a problem and I will need to wait for another smd because there are credit checks pending. Whilst at the store at 11:13 I called [protected] and I was told that my account was approved however there is a technical problem on the system and the department that can clear the error only works during week days from 8 to 5. I received an sms on 24/05/21 to state my account was declined. I phoned [protected] and spoke to Nandipa and only during this conversation did I come to know that there is an expiry time to activate new accounts. This is the worst service i ever received at any establishment. Now I hear I have to wait another 2 months to apply for an account. This is totally unacceptable. I required to do shopping this week and have always liked the choice of clothes in Truworths.
Desired outcome: My new account to be opened immediately.

I was poorly treated by one of your security guard at Menlyn store. On the 15th of May my birthday I decided to go to truworths to purchase a perfume.
To my surprise I was told that I need to vacate the store due to me wearing a face shield, I got the shock of my life as I saw some of the staff members wearing a face shield.
I was humiliated and at one point this security guard was threatening to take my mask off. What kind of treatment is this I ask? I asked to see the manager and I was shown the door and told that the manager's office is outside the store.
Is this how your security guards are trained?
Desired outcome: An apology by the security guard and compensation of emotional abuse that I suffered especially on my birthday, this put a damp on my special day
ltd tennis dress
I am Mrs N. V Makapela acc no [protected], I bought a navy tennis dress in December online. My child wore the dress once, while I was washing it, it 's colour changed immediately. I took it to Ltd shop in King William's Town. I went there looking for response, to my surprise you said I bleached the navy dress it is not manufacturer's fault. how can I bleach a navy dress. now I am paying for a dress which my child can never use again. It is so painful to me because it is not the first dress I bought from Truworths. I do not even use powder soap to wash my clothes, I use sunlight only. can you please attend to this matter.

Bad service rude call centre agent
I received a call from a horrible and bad mannered call centre agent, named Phumla. I do not wish for any of your clients to deal with this lady. She has no sense of pride in the brand she represents. I am afraid you are going to lose a lot of clients if this behavior persists with your agents. I have been client of yours for far too long to expect any less from your business.
I advise Truworths to do something about their consultants they're so mean and when they call client they have wrong information. one told me i m paying my account via EFT and I'm paying my account via debit order.
These people who work at the call centre behave as if they own the company. They talk inappropriately. They have no respect. I received a call and constantly asked the lady to stop shouting at me, I eventually cut the call and blocked the number . She called me from her personal line and started to swear me

i purchased i pair earing on the 7th May 2021 and put on the following day Saturday 8th may 2021. i had it on for half an hour and the earing had come of. i found it and put it back in the box because i was not going to pay for a product that i would not have. this is my 3rd pay. my first pair was bought around the year 2000. i had it for about 10 years no issues but this one i was really disappointed with so i took it back within 24 hours. i did read the back of the receipt and the top line says return jewelry with 14 days if there are other policies regarding jewelry it is not included in that line.. i was asked to go to the store to demonstrate how the earing fell and had an accident costing thousands in damage which is a result of a pair of earings. i just wanted to return a product that i was not happy with and was spoken very rudely to by the area manager. i felt like i was accused of being a lier which i do not do. i am a loyal Truworths customer for almost 30 years and to get treated this badly is really sad. i will close my account after being treated in this manner. i have kept my account in good standing which you can all see. VERY UNHAPPY

I received a gift of a pair of Jogging skinny denims from a friend who bought them with cash from Truworths. The denims do not fit me well and don't look good, as they are like tracksuit pants that are made out of a denim fabric. MeThey cost R625 and my friend has unfortunately lost the receipt. I went to Truworths in Bayside and when I explained the circumstances and requested a refund, I was told that they would not refund the denims and that I must contact the head office. I was assisted by the store manager, D. Hull. He would not give his first name and? no badge. I insisted that he call the number of the head office, and he called and spoke tMariette Geldenhys, who told him to look on the Computer for the item as apparently it was not showing up. He then told me that the denims were from their winter 2017 collection and the item was not showing up. I then asked how that was possible when my friend had bought the denims recently. They, the store manager and Mariette Geldenhys continued to talk for a few minutes, and then the store manager took a Truworths bag from under the counter and put the jeans in it and told me that they refused to return them. I then asked for his name and the person who he has spoke to on the phone. I will be taking this matter further to the consumer ombudsman with reference to the consumer protection act. I find it totally unacceptable that Truworths are very quick to when a consumer tries to do sales, but when a consumer wants to return something, gets treated with dis-respect and refuses to refund an item, which still has the price tag on ad has never been worn. I'm very disappointed in truworths bad customer service... I also work in a retail and I live far so in my off days I can't come to the town to shop...so I only go to truworths in my lunch or tea time but each time I get there, there is a long que and only one cashier that's is helping so each time I have to stand there my whole lunch or tea time... I just feel when there are 3 or more customers in the que another cashier must come help... Each time I want to buy something I have to wait long or turn around if que is too long... I also brought an item at truworths on my account and want to exchange it but I didn't have the slip... So today for the third time Ive been there to exchange because each time there is a que and only one cashier that's helping they tell me they can't help me with a exchange its the same item I want to return just bigger size... They couldn't help me because I don't have enough credit to put it back on my account... But I don't want to refund it I just want bigger size why all that long process just for the same t shirt but a bigger size... So they tell me they can't exchange it because I don't have a slip and they can't put it back on my account because I don't have enough credit... I stand there my whole tea time... I was third fourth person in line but the cashier had do call for customer card why can't the lady that was authorising call so she can help the other customers soo long... I just feel its unfair... Its really bad service... And when I walked out the que was standing soo long and again only one cashier... The customer always come first but it seem to me they don't take customer seriously... And I still have an item I can't wear because its small... Its just pathetic really

Product Hisense E50 lite / service failure

I am in need of your urgent assistance.
I bought a Hisense E50 lite cellphone on the 14 of April 2021 with your Truworths store in Hemingway's East London. Please see slips attached.
I was told that I cannot use my telkom sim card until 7days for purpose of gaurantee. This information was only given to me after I had paid for the phone.
The 7days required by your company, expired on the 21st of April 2021. I tried to insert my telkom sim card on the 22nd of April 2021, but the phone blocked my access and required an 8 digit number to unblock the sim. The consultant Vuyo Mayi, never advised of any 8 digit code or the fact that I would have this problem, as I would have returned or opted to not proceed with the purchase of the phone or alternatively I would have asked for the code or how do I go about to get it.
Kindly advise because this means I was sold the phone under false pretence and I was misled by your company, of which I am not happy about. As I had specifically told them at the store that I can't use your MTN number as I prefer my telkom business number, but I adhered to your 'so-called' rule and now I am still having an issue. This in turn is also affecting my business.
The lady that told me this was Vuyo Mayi and later by your store manager when I called from the king Williams town branch last week on the 15th of April to enquire about this. The store manager I spoke could not assist me and said she doesn't know of any code. She than refered me to MTN, saying that because it's their phone they would be able to help me. Needless to say I went the same day to MTN but could not be assisted, and they were saying this is a Truworths issue.
All I require is assistance please, and I believe Truworths should rightfully assist as the phone with these conditions was bought at their store and the consultants and manager at the Hemingway's branch failed me with their service and also failed to assist me or give me correct information.
Please assist as this matter is a big inconvenience for me.

I am truworths customer since? I went to buy on sale at bedford centre but my card was blocked. I pay my account monthly but when they phoned at bedford centre truworths the lady I was talking to over the phone was rude and silly telling me that if I don't answer all the questions I must just forget she will not help me. She was treating me as a suspect wasting my time.
I have decided to pay the balance and close it. It's my money that I pay with. I have decided to pay then close it. I cannot be treated like [censored] but I am a customer. You can keep your store. There are many shops out there.
Staff performance at game city branch
Attitude of staff member re approach on the wearing of a mask.
I entered the store at Game City with a plastic face mask. As I entered the store I was approached by the staff member by telling me rather abruptly that I may not enter the store because I did not have a mask on. I have worn this particular mask for the last six months, and have never been stopped from entering a store.
Another staff member shouted to him from the back of the store telling him I did not have a mask on. I tapped on the mask to prove I was wearing a mask. I was told to leave the store immediately.
Is this the new instruction on how to approach a customer?
I had an account with Truworths from the 70s till last year. I certainly will not enter your business again.

i went to truworths Groblersdal mall to collect onlice parcel and also to check my voucher . The service i received from the ladies at Truworths was uncalled for, i was never assisted on the voucher, the lady did not even bother to check my voucher i was told it expire in 2years and never checked on the system, the ladys were busy chit chating and fitting shoes and laughing, i felt very less and was even afraid to ask them further because i wanted to buy with my voucher.. i will never buy or send any of my friends and colugues at truworths Groblersdal mall

I purchased a ring from your Chatsworth store at end November. It was for my son's proposal. I paid about R400 for it. It was rose gold and silver in color. This weekend my future daughter in law took it out of the box to use it and she was shocked to see how faded and old it looked. I can't understand as she only wore it 3 times. Due to lockdown we don't go anywhere in order to really use it.
I'm so disappointed as I felt as I bought her a lucky dip ring.
I haven't been to your store due to Covid 19. Feel safe to stay at home.
