We arrived to waffle house (store #177) didn't received any type of greeting or acknowledged from any of the employees... The whole staff is clueless and the customer service is just horrible. How can they hire people like this when they obviously hate their job. They weren't busy at all.. I was there for around 15minutes no one asked for our drinks nothing.. When I asked for a supervisor no one knew where he/she was... I just decided to leave instead and went to dennis. Waffle house stop hiring people who don't like to work!

very poor customer service
On 7/20/2018 about 12:10 pm, I (dorethea robinson) dined in at the waffle house on 5970 memorial drive 30083. When I entered the restaurant there was a very strong smell of bleach, I stated to one of the mangers on duty that I had a heart condition and asthma, she stated that they were cleaning the store, I stated that is something you would do at night. The employees were very loud and playing and joking a lot with each other. I had to ask several times for lemons for my tea. My order was made wrong, I asked for t-bone steak, they gave me sirloin steak, I replied to them that they were not listening. It seems as if there are to many young people working together including management, very unprofessional staff. I have had to many problem with waffle house on many many occasions, I am not going to eat at waffle house never again, I will encourage all of my friends and family to not eat there as well. Waffle house you need to invest in some serous training for your staff members, if not you will continue to see declines in you customers and sells.
A very angry customer,
Dorethea robinson
service
We went in to one night and ordered and she brings out the wrong food and we told her that was not what we ordered she was very very rude and didn't offer to fix it or say sorry and we didn't touch it still had to pay for it won't be going back such crappy service oh and I think her name was Latoya or something it started with a L and she wore glasses
the treatment was literally appalling! they offered no service!!
Greetings. My complaint is very disturbing because I have just experienced the most rude employees I've ever experienced! There was one gentleman cleaning the grill but no one greeted the customers with any type of courtesy or respect. The gentleman cleaning the grill continue to clean the grill without responding to any of the customers in a respectable manner. I must admit I've never seen such blatant rudeness and disregard for customer service not to mention the franchise of Waffle House itself! This is a disgusting display of professionalism on the part of Waffle House and I'm beginning to question the screening process for the employees. The time the approximate time for my visit was maybe 3: 10 a. M. Eastern time at the Virginia Avenue location in Atlanta Georgia. There are two locations but the specific location I'm referring to is the location next to the liquor store down the street from Spondivits which has another location right next to it. I want to hear an immediate response please. My email is [protected]@gmail.com . After speaking to one of the other employees I've come to the conclusion that Waffle House really and I mean really needs to scream the character of their employees. It is so so sad that these franchises seem to not teach the employees about customer service!
service at waffle house #1410
I arrived at the restaurant a little after 9am. When I got seated the waitress for my table walked by at least twice before asking me what I wanted. I first ordered coffee because I was waiting for a friend to show up. When the friend got there, he was seated for at least 30 seconds or so when our waitress got drinks for a couple who was just walking in the door before asking my friend what he wanted. She actually spent a good bit of time with the other customers before coming to the table. When she did she didn't ask my friend if he would like something to drink instead she expected us to order right away. My friend did make a comment about people coming in after him getting service first. It went downhill from there in my opinion.
We finally got our orders in and it was a long wait for a normal Waffle House meal. We both run out of our drinks and they sit there empty for at least 5 minutes before she refilled them but not before she refilled others who got there after us. When our food did arrive it was at best lukewarm and my order wasn't complete. While eating we both again run out of drinks and they never got refilled. When we had finished our meals the tickets were not readily available and mine had to be redone because of the food not served that I had ordered. My receipt ticket number is [protected]. I can't remember the waitress name but can be sure I will not use that Waffle House again anytime soon. This isn't the first time I have had problems at this one but this is the first time I am filing a complaint.
poor food at restaurant 801
On a road trip home, I stopped at Waffle House number 801 in Prattville, AL on July 7th, 2018. It was 10:15 when I got in and sat down, with 3 more hours home to Pensacola, FL. The building itself was dirty, and the tables sticky. My waitress cleaned the table and it was fine. My waitress "Brittany" I believe was very nice, and was not a problem. The problem was the cook. I ordered the Texas Bacon Cheesesteak Melt with hash browns covered and topped, what I usually get at my local WH in Pensacola. The sandwich was mediocre. The bread not toasted to par, the cheese not melted. I heard the waitress call there to be the onions on it, but none were present when I received the food. The hash browns were equally as bad. The chili was almost all liquid, almost as if it was not stirred before being splashed on the plate. It mad my crispy hash browns become very soggy. It was late at night in an unfamiliar city, so I had to eat what I could find, and I did not have time to wait around for new food. Overall this WH experience was not a good one, and I hope that I will be compensated for the horrible experience.
my entire meal
I ordered a waffle, order of sausage, grits, and a grit bowl. They didn't put my waffle in my bag and the manager Joe told my girlfriend it was too much for him to refund her because the food was thrown away. I didn't want it anymore because the waffle was the main part of my meal. So how can you be upset with me because I no longer want the meal because my waffle is missing. He did offer to replace it at a later date but we both was at work and we are just working in the area. The eggs in her meal where overcooked. They were just horrible in this location on today
service
I called on Friday or Saturday of last week and made a complaint about the crappy service that we had on a call in order. The lady took my info and said that she would send it up the chain of command and that I would hear something. I've heard NOTHING since.
We ordered 3 takeout meals which were incorrect. My husband spent 1 hour in WH with no other customers. After he corrected them several times on order it was still incorrect when he arrived home. I expected someone to email me. I told them that we go weekly and have a family of 6 so we spend quite a bit of money there.
customer service store #1642
I called in to order a to go and was placed on hold for 15 minutes. So I hung up and called back and the voicemail picked up that they were busy and to come in to place to go order. So I got there in less than 10 minutes and the place was dead. One couple man and woman were eating but that was it! As I pulled in I saw there were 2 women working. One cleaning the burner and one doing nothing. as soon as I walked in the one doing nothing went to the back and was back there another 15 minutes and I was standing there waiting to place an order. I'm guessing she had to be a manager because she had a yellow tie on! The cook had to come take my order. I'm just not happy at all at my experience. I have never saw these 2 specific women in here before I come there a lot and I love everyone there! But I'm very upset at my service!
application denied due to non violent non theft felony!
I went in for an interview with Ambur at the Crestview Waffle House on 90. She was excited to have me! Told me she wanted to do a second interview with Brad and have me start orientation the next morning! I came home, submitted my application and she called me back and asked me what my Feliny was for. I told her: possession w/ intent... from that point forward I had no contact from Waffle House. Today, a week later, I called Brad and he stated that Waffle House does not hire convicted Felons unless the charge is five years or older with no new charges. I asked him: what am I to do for five years? I paid my dues to society! I've changed my life! I just wanted to work to support my four children! Why am I being discriminated against?
worker was making threats to me and my family

Hi my name is Erin Hassell and I went to the Waffle House on 9th Street around 12:30-1am. This lady named April serviced me and she was delightful. But this man name Cliff was very irate and disrespectful to me and my sister for no reason at all. As we were leaving he proceeded to say [censored] you and your mama and said he would beat my mother up if I bought her there for him to tell her that himself. I don't know why he was angry but we did not do anything to him and he wasn't even our server. I eat here all the time and have never witnessed this disrespect from anybody. I would like something to be done about him ASAP. Thank you .
terrible and disrespectful service.
This morning, July 7, around 3am, 4 close friends and I attempted to dine at waffle house in Tuscaloosa, AL on University Blvd. As it being the early morning on a weekend in a college town I am aware that all staff has to deal with intoxicated customers and how frustrating/irritating that is. However, being the fact that when we walked in tables were dirty and so was the bar, we wanted to grab a table before someone walked in after us and took it so we disregarded the fact the tables were dirty full of dishes and sat down. There was a female server working who looked up at us with the most terrible pissed off face and very rudely told us that we cant sit there until the table was cleared. Well, that would have perfectly fine if someone had made it a priority to clean off the table or if she had gotten off her phone to do it herself since she "demanded" we get up. All 5 of us, being waiters in restaurants in Tuscaloosa, waited patiently thinking maybe she had had a bad night but since we saw no action being made we took the incentive ourselves to bus the table and put the dishes, cups, and silverware stacked very nicely on the bar since the bar wasnt clean anyway. We ended up leaving because of how rude, disrespectful, and in every sense of the word, useless, the female server, who had demanded we get up, was to us. We left after waiting 10 minutes at the table to be greeted, while the 2 servers were standing around on their phones, and went to a different location where we received great service! I would be ashamed if I was the manager and assistant manager for allowing such incompetent people no less allowing your employees to be SOOO rude to your guests. I will not be returning to that location and I will definitely be sure to relay this story to other fellow residents of Tuscaloosa about this in hopes corporate will take their customer service more serious. All we wanted was food!
management
Waffle House Brandon on Lakeland Dr. Manager Joseph Thomas has had sex with a sever causing her to quit after whatever problems occured. Recently 6/6/2018 Manager Joseph Thomas walked in your Waffle House with a GUN on his waist. This is concerning considering the MURDERS that recently occured at Waffle House in another state. This man has made it known that he is an antheis as well. This is not how a work environment should be run. He is making not only the customers uncomfortable but also the employees. Please handle this.
the entire experience
Walked in and took them 10 minutes to acknowledge us...work stations were sloppy ...waffle batter EVERYWHERE... deandre and Jermaine were bullying the waiters and making fun of the new guy James...deandre was hollaring at the workers infront all the customers causing a scene as well as not watching how he do things splashing water all over us as we tried to eat our food...he is very unsanitary and unprofessional worst experience ever !
food, service, cleanliness
There were ants crawling everywhere. On the walls, tables, floors, and even us. Out food was cold, and was no where near cooked right. We also didn't get a refill on our drinks the whole time we were there. She can to the table to give us our ticket, and went to the back until we left. No one was around. They all went to the back and stayed there..
service was terrible
Waitress took order. Brought food. And that was last time I seen her. Could of used at least 2 refills. Had to go get a to go container from another employee. Also had to go pay the check and when I asked for it. She hadn't even got it figured up and ready to go. And she had at least 30 mins since she brought the food to have brought the check over. Her name was Rhianna. Worst service I have ever had. This location has some waitresses that shouldn't be doin the job anyways. But this one last night has to be the worst. All the employees spend more time outside on smoke breaks than working anyways. Need to hire completely new people altogether.
overcharging
July 4, 2018.
My husband ran into Waffle House in Dublin, Ga (directly off of I-16) to order a single waffle, a large coffee and a cherry coke to go. They charged him $18 for the transaction. No receipt was given. I have never in my life been jipped by any Waffle House but we are extremely frustrated and dissatisfied this evening. Dishonesty will get this business no where and we will be sure to ensure word is spread of this incident.
manager has unethical behaviour
I visited the Waffle House 580 location on July 1, 2018 around 2:00 pm est in Lithonia Ga 30038. I witness the manager (Patrick) belittling his waitress (Delia). He constantly followed her and yelled at her to the top of his voice. When she attempted to close out my order, he followed her to my table pointing and speaking loud at her telling her over and over again what she needs to clean in a rude overbearing voice. She informed him over and over again in a mild tone voice she heard him, but he kept on following and yelling at her from table to table.
The yelling was so loud, to the point I jumped in to confront him. I asked him to not speak to her like that and asked for his full name because I was going to report him to corporate office. He did not provide it to me; however, the waitress gave me his name. He did say, "I do not care who you report me to because I am the supervisor". He was VERY rude and loud to not only the waitress but the customers who were eating during that time.
I choose not to eat at location 580 any more if Patrick is working there. If he has no respect for his workers, he surely doesn't have respect for the customers as I witness on the 1st of July.
I've been a regular customer at unit 1799 walnut grove Ga since the place opened. I know all the staff by name and they all know me by name. The unit manager ( day ) has never spoken a word to me or acknowledged my presence even after many attempts by me to get his attention. Pretty obvious that he is not suited for the position he holds. I would hate to drive all the way to another restaurant for a meal and let him win what ever game he is playing. Please do something to help resolve this situation.
Thank you
customer service and food
This morning around 6:55, I visited the Waffle House located at 1801 4th Ave S. Birmingham, Al 35233 on my way in to work. A co worker and myself entered the restaurant and all of the employees backs were turn. No one ever greeted us. We waited a few minutes at the counter to place a to go order. After having our order taking, it was about 5 minutes before the worker called out our order. Why? I am not sure because the cook was not preparing another order. One worker was walking around with her head phones in her ear, one worker, ran outside to talk to someone who had pulled up in a car, and the others were just walking around. We ordered two classic waffles, and two orders of eggs. We waited 30 minutes for our food. As we are watching and waiting, I notice that the lady making our waffles removed them from the waffle maker without gloves on. We asked another worker who was standing near the counter if she could ask that our waffles be remade because they were touched with bare hands. I never once seen any other the workers wash their hands. Even the one that came back in from outside. The cook did have on gloves, but she touched cleaning towels with them, went back to making food and touched other surfaces too and didn't bother to change out gloves. NO ONE had on hair nets either. The girl that remade our waffles did not put on any gloves, but she used a knife to get the waffles off without touching them. I still thought she needed gloves, considering she had not one time washed her hands, but after waiting so long for our food, I didn't bother to ask again. I needed to get to work. We had to get our drinks in two coffee cups because they were out of regular size to go cups, I did not get any butter with my waffle and we did not get anything to eat our food with either. Because we had to have two cups each, I'm assuming to equal a regular size drink, we asked for a cup holder, but they were out. We asked for a cup bag, but they were out of that as well. So we just got a regular bag that the food goes in and put our drinks in there so that we could carry our food as well. When we finally got to our office, our drinks a leaked out into the bag a little, and our food was not very satisfying either. This seems to happen often at this location and the workers are not very friendly. I would not have sent in this complaint if they were extremely business because I know mistakes happen, but they were not busy AT ALL. As a matter of fact, there were only two customers in the store, and food safety is a must anywhere. Washing their hands, and changing out gloves is something this location has a big problem with. We ordered from the $5 breakfast menu and I would like for my money to be return. We got two of the classic waffle, two eggs and a beverage meal. My total was $14.50 because I paid for my co workers food as well.
