Slowness of the staff between 5:50 am and 6:00 am
I did an online order this morning. Then I finished getting ready and drove over there. I waited for some time and they could not tell me when my order would be ready. I was going to be late for work but waited for a while. Then I told them I wanted to cancel my order and get a refund. They told me they were cooking my order but the grill did not have anything on it. I again told them I wanted a refund. They told me they could not refund online orders. I left without my food or money. There were other people leaving from waiting too long. I think the main issue is they work slow to get to the 6:00 am shift change. But the ones arriving at 6:00 am to work are not there to work at 6:00 am. This has been an ongoing issue at that location. And that is why I rarely order from there.
Desired outcome: I want a refund of my money.

On Saturday 1/14/23 around 8pm, I tried to place3 to go order by phone and no was available to answer since the phone was disconnected. Is this how waffle house operators? The restaurant was not busy for the phone to off. If you don't want or need my busy, just say so that I can spread the word
I decided to show up at waffle house and placed two orders of the All American with hash browns smothered, covered and country. When my order came up, the girl bagged and I paid $22.00 and change. I asked the girl if both orders were in the bag and said that they were.
Upon my arrival to my house, I only received one order and the order was incorrect. How hard is it for a server to listen to the customer? Maybe better training is required, or the waffle house just does not care. They turn off their phone like they don't need your business. So why should they care if the order is correct

My son, daughter, and I went to the Waffle house on Atlanta Road in Cumming, Ga on Dec. 22nd. Three tables were full of dishes and it took them 15 minutes to clear the tables. The restaurant was not very clean. A pregnant lady took our order around 12noon. My son and daughter had an omelette. I had a meal with, eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns. We all had coffee. Why was our bill $39. The waitress just put amounts on the bill but didn’t say what they were for. We had just moved furniture out of storage and there were 2 people standing behind us. I use to live in Crozet, Va and would eat at your Waynesboro, Va location. The food was hot, the restaurant was clean, and It was listed on my bill what I was paying for. I have seen complaints online where people would get the same thing 3 different times
at a Waffle House and be charged 3 different amounts. Why is that? Why don’t you
have modern receipts that break down what you are paying for on your bill instead of hand writing
them in pen? I feel I was overcharged at least $10. The food was not even hot and I was overcharged. I am not happy with this experience

Freezing heating system broken for 2 months
To whom it may concern,
We regularly stop at waffle house during our travels.
So today December 19th 2022 the Wafle House in Magee Mississippi was our stop. Location 2004.
It is freezing inside this place we had to wear our hats and coats to be able to stay and eat!
So do the workers the only person maybe comfortable is the cook!
According to the staff it's been out of order for 2 months. Someone came to fix it but in no time it broke again.
As a customer I can deal with a one day bad experience however I can't believe you'd let your staff work in those conditions.
You are lucky to have people willing to work it maybe a good idea to treat them like human beings!
I don't think you'd let your mothers or daughters work in freezing temperatures.
I am looking forward to hearing from you and to be updated on the resolution of this issue, I will follow up with the staff regularly.

I went to Wafflehouse on Airport next to Popeyes in Mobile, Al., Tracey is the Mgr. I went in Friday after calling in a hamburger and hashbrowns order. I have been doing that for maybe 15 years, My hamburger did not condiments when I got home, and I too exhausted to go back. I told Tracey those words when I got home and discovered it was just meat and bread. There was no lettect, tomatoes, onions, ketchup, mustard, nothing. I said I will come back please just give me a discount or something because I threw the burger away because it was just bland without the condiments. I stopped by today around, Dec 6th at 11 am and ordered something to go. I asked for her and she said we did not charge you for it, and I was shocked. I had called her Friday, Dec 2nd, 2022 and talked with her about the incident. I said that is okay and I am calling Corporate. I called Corporate and got someone named Ruby. She said to fill out the Compliant form, however that link she gave me does not exist. I intend to contact the VP because I was in that same location Sunday, November 22, 2022 at around 5 to 6 pm. I called in an order that day and there was a black cashier inside and 2 white guys outside on the side smoking something that I care not to say. Just the two guys were doing the smoking, the girl was inside and the cashier that day. I frequent that restaurant so much I told Tracey, the Manager, about what I saw her a few days later. My husband was a witness and a relative that was in the Popeyes driveup line becauce it extended to the Wafflehouse front door. I think the Wafflehouse has too far gone to visit in the future for hiring these kind of workers and managers. It is not the way it used to be because they are hiring anyone these days.
Desired outcome: Nothing. I am done with this place.
Scattered and Smothered Hashbrowns
I own my home and have lived here for over 30 years. This was country then came Publix and across the road a Waffle House. As this was happening, I was doing construction work all over 50-100 miles from home. Waffle House was lunch pretty much every day, I did this work for 45 years and Waffle House was
lunch almost daily. I always loved the breakfast meals, I would eat it 3 times a day if I could. Once retired it was always breakfast at Waffle House with friends who lived around the area. I got sick and lost a few years, but I am back now, always loving the breakfast I headed to Waffle House for the breakfast, to my surprise they seemed to have changed the cooking process for Scattered and Smothered Hash Browns. All those years of eating them scattered all over the grill and placed the same way on my plate are gone. Now you get them looking like regular cooked crunchy hashbrowns. Goodbye eggs. Its waffle time.

Being accused of being homophobic and was ordered out of the restaurant
I filed a complaint with the Waffle House thirty days ago, and a representative said she would look into it. I have not heard a word back. I was in the Waffle House on 9th Ave, Pensacola, Florida and was accused of being homophobic and was asked to leave the restaurant by the manger named Gary. I was there around 3am an i orderd sirlon steak with girts raisin toast eggs over medium and grits. i got watered down tbone stake plane toast and the yoke in my eggs were hard. I was just in Waffle House in Fairview, Tennessee and I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and I didn't want to see egg white in my eggs and hash browns scattered and covered. The eggs were full of egg whites and my hash browns wasn't covered like I asked. I've eaten there twice and I have yet to have a good experience. I will not be going back. My boyfriend said his waffle was so cold that the butter wouldn't melt. When you go out to eat, you order it like you want it and they never get it right

Poor service, incorrect orders, and long wait
I have eaten at many Waffle House locations and have always loved eating there. On October 25, 2022 we traveled to Columba SC for my Granddaughters Graduation from Basic Training. After arriving we went to Waffle House # 1470, 7428 Garners Ferry to eat dinner, I have never been so disappointed in the service, quality of food and long wait time, it was terrible. First off we waited about 20 minutes, before order was taken. Then after 30 minutes my Granddaughter and son was brought their waffles. After another 15 minutes they brought out my Granddaughters bacon, which was burnt and she would not eat it. We still have not received any drinks. After another 15 minutes we got the rest of our food and drinks. My son ordered eggs over easy, he got scrambled with cheese instead, his sausage was cold. My hash browns were burnt. Everyone had issues with their meal. We were never asked if we needed refills for drinks. Our waitress never came back to the table except to bring the check. She was very unfriendly. We were there over 1 hour and 40 minutes. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Waffle House. No excuse for this kind of service. Phillip Daniel

I entered the Waffle House in Irondale,AL and was refused service based solely on my race. I’m posting this on all of my social media accounts as well as telling everyone I come in contact with that this location is racist and refuses to serve minority Native Americans!
I have now been threatened tgat my complaint won’t be posted. I have been absolutely clear about tge location/date/time and reason I was refused service. Clearly you do not take complaints seriously and simply blow off negative feedback about any Waffle House location. If not then prove me wrong and do something about the injustice!
Desired outcome: Any response from you as my people are sorely underrepresented and mistreated.
Rude server
I ate at the Waffle House on Hwy 441 in Commerce, GA on October 17th at 11:24 am with my mom. The server who let us in was nice and friendly. I wished our own server, LaShonda, was friendly. The whole time throughout, she had kind of a deadpan tone in her voice and said things with an impatient attitude. Her overall attitude was not charming in the least bit. When my mom misheard her, she repeated the question in an annoyed tone. I noticed she had no problem being friendly to the guy sitting three seats over from us. Our server and the other gentleman were black and my mom and I are white. Therefore I think this a racial issue. When I asked the manager to switch us to another server he did, but she started getting nosy. When I told her what I thought happened/how it look to me, and that I didn't like anyone to disrespect my mother, she became verbally confrontational and did not apologize. Eating at Waffle House is a tradition in our family whenever visiting each other's towns, but I think next time we will avoid this Waffle House and possibly Waffle Houses altogether. Please have the store manager contact me promptly about this.

Customer being rude to employees
Hi my name is Carson and my wife and daughter came to eat at the Waffle House across from 7/11 Sunday morning we had a server name kisha she had red hair attached to her head her service was wonderful she tried to make sure our visit was enjoyable she talk to us laugh and joke with us and my daughter says she likes her being our waitress but my problem was I couldn’t catch the young lady name that was worker with her next to her but I just don’t understand how it’s ok to let a customers talk to her the way this young man did when she apologized and try to make it right more then once all that matter to her was making it right with the customers even our waitress tried to help but they still find something to make a problem and it didn’t have to be i just feel it wasn’t right how they can call another waitress from the other side of the building and put money in her hand as a tip and the young waitress didn’t do anything to help or tell the customers the young lady trying I felt bad on how my waitress was being treated and the other waitress was being treated I never gotten her name but I remember her being about 4’9 and white with glasses and I wanna say thank you to the man on the grill he had on a different uniform then the other waitress had on him and our waitress had on the same shirt if that helps he step in and help with the problem in this situation the customers was rude and it wasn’t the waitresses fault I wanna say to the three people we appreciate y’all serve and doing the best y’all can at y’all job and keeping a smile on y’all face even when y’all busy and have no time to breathe we will be back and don’t let it break y’all y’all need to know customers is not always right and y’all shouldn’t make y’all employees feel like they are always right if you have any questions you can contact me [protected]
Lack of Service
Stopped by Auburn store at 2167 South College Street, Auburn, AL at approx. 9PM on October 15th. Workers stated that they were in the middle of shift change and that they were also only taking take out orders. When calling on the phone a message states that they are limiting to go orders for the convenience of in store guests. 5 workers were in the store and all appeared to be hanging out just standing around. Not sure how you make this work as a business but will certainly tell others about this experience. Won’t bother with WH in the future as a result.

I went to Waffle House store 90 in Hardeeville, SC. I tried to order my food for dine in, but was told that I could only order my food to go before 6am, but there were other customers eating at the counter and at least two other tables. I realize that Waffle house may be short staffed, but I don’t know why I was told I could only order food to go, when they had no problem serving at least 5-6 other customers for dine in orders. On Saturday, August 13th around 11:00 pm I visited Waffle House at 1054 Mebane Oaks Rd, Mebane NC (Store #1332). As we took our seats the waitress gave myself and the two ladies with me plastic silverware along with a gentleman sitting on the stool. We were the only African Americans in the place but there were 10 or more caucasians present and all of them had real silverware, so I requested our table to have real silverware also. The waitress was obliging but not apologetic. That incident came off as racist to me.
I had to send my bacon back to be fully cooked and he brought my toast to me in his hands. After that he walked away from the grill and left.
Second the cook was rude and unprofessional. Cursing and refusing to allow three people who had waited for 30 min to get a table. Saying "I'm not cooking another damn thing."
Desired outcome: I would like for all three of those working that night to be re-trained especially the cook. I would like for a waitress not to discriminate against anyone of color and wait for a customer to ask for plastic silverware.
Waffle House Hi 52 Goose Creek SC
Went in a couple of weeks ago and the smell was awful,,,like rotten garbage; flies were swarming in the right side of the dining room. I left. Today I went in and noticed only one man in the kitchen; two customers on the right side whose feet were in water. I looked down and I was standing in about an inch of water accumulated on the floor under the table . My shoes and socks were soaked. I looked at the man in the kitchen; he smiled and informed me there was a broken pipe under the counter. I saw what appeared to be a water pump across the room. I left!
Desired outcome: Either clean the place up, hire responsible people or close the place down: it’s filthy . The health department would close the doors!
