Assistant store manager Sandra P of store s06553 laurel, ms has been seen bullying employees and hateful to costumers.
I have done surveys in hopes of someone taking action. Woman yells at her employees in front of customers until they quit or cry then laughs it off like people are lesser than her. Has zero professionalism in her work ethic to belittle customers as well as neglect her duties to the store. I will take my business and advise others to take theirs elsewhere.

I stopped at dollar general located at 1895 e. Sangamon ave, springfield il on sunday, may 12, 2019 to buy a bag of ice. I walk in and get in line behind the woman who was currently being checked out. Another lady walks up behind me in line, and a moment later another cashier walks up and starts checking out her items. He didn't bother to direct the next person in line... Which would have been me... To come up to get rung out. Then, after he got done checking her out, the cashier started walking away leaving me standing there! I couldn't believe it, I said "what am I chopped liver"? At this point, another employee walked up and responded to me "well, did you tell him (the cashier) you were here"? He was blaming me! I couldn't believe it. I said, I am the customer it is not my job, I said it is your job for ensuring that you are taking customers in order. He was very confrontational from the very beginning and he continued to argue with me and was very combative. He was acting like he was some kind of "tough cookie" and came across as very argumentative, threatening, and down right mean to me. I didn't back down, though and stood my ground but in doing so I let a bad word slip out (I wasn't cussing at him), I was standing there trying to defend myself and let them know they were wrong. So he took that opportunity after I let out the word "[censored]" out of my mouth to "kick" me out of the store. He actually had the gall to say "i'm not going to let you talk to me that way". Nevermind the fact that he was talking to me much much worse. I said, fine, I don't want to do business here anyway if that is the way you are going to treat your customers. So I left, got into my truck and as I was pulling out of my parking spot, he and the culprit cashier actually rushed out of the store to "make sure" I left. They were trying to intimidate me... Acting like they were some kind of "tough guys". Against a little 5'1" mother... On mothers day no less. I will never shop at dollar general again... I should never be made to feel threatened, nor, humiliated like that as a paying customer. I encourage you to review the surveillance tapes to see the exchange that happened. I am asking that you look into this and ensure that your employees are properly trained to respect your customers and not make them feel threatened.

Got fired for a family emergency. Called in and manager on duty said it's ok she will just call someone else in to fill in... I told her I could come in i was just going to be late but she said it's ok I will just call someone in ... So I didn't worry about it then next day I am fired... The manager cusses about customers.. Writes notes like customers are stupid... One day she got so mad at a customer I thought she was going to have a heart attack.. The manager is always taking smoke breaks and eating while at the register... That's what she gets paid for insulting customers and eating and smoking on the clock... I was never late and a very hard worker... I have 6 kids to support. Plus I am homeless. I was looking for a place but without a job, I will be homeless longer... i hope the manager has a family emergency and someone fires her... Dollar General just fired a homeless mother of 6 trying to get her life straight... Let's see what social media thinks...

About 3 weeks ago I went to DR to buy some things I needed. It was on a Sunday. And all the $ I had was$9 dollars in penny rolls. I was told by your manager (lady) I don't recall her name, that she would accept them if I would open each roll and count them out one by one. The clerk had said all she needed to do was weigh them as always. But your new manager was just a "[censored]". I don't have any other way to say it. Workers always make smart [censored] coments and absolute caos in whole store. All emploees do is stand out side of store and smoke? Please clean up this store. Isles completely lined with goods. Always trying to short change someone. And always even when your trying to be nice will always come back with some smart elick remark and most of the comments are sick. I mean vulger. I always try to be a good christian but this store really takes it's toll on even the best of people. I know people are stretched these days. But no job should put up with this kind of employee's. I'm not the only one around here to see this and maybe this is a waste of my time. But I feel other people have probably also expressed concerns over this store. For the past few months I've been having issues with her, throwing my change at me when I check out. And talking down to me in front of other customers.. She's been living under my roof for the past few months. She's not be very communicative with me. Her reason for that is because I'm dating her ex boyfriend.. Whom she says she still loves. She's has been telling other customers that I have been banned for a week or so now. And tonight she's saying I was banned, but wouldn't give me a reason why.. Tonight I was humiliated in front of other customers in the store. She commenced to telling me to get out, while standing beside my boyfriend, Mike, and said I was banned from the store, and every other store in the district.. I want something done about this.. I have a well respected name in this community, and I have several witnesses of what happened tonight. Also witnesses concerning some of the other incidents.. This is only a conflict of interest, of a young girl trying to take things into her own hands, all because of jealousy..

I would like to start off by saying I was accused of stealing about a year ago in witch I did not steal. I checked out and I used my card and it paid partial payment in witch I was not aware of cause the cashier did not say anything next thing I know the store manager cane out to my store and asked if I was going to pay for a 2.79 small bottle of laundry soap and I said I did and she said no your card didn't cover it. So I gladly went back in to pay for it. My daughter applied for the Dollar General located in Frederick ok in witch this all happened and the manager told her to apply and she would hire her. But once she found out she was my daughter she didn't hire her cause in the manager words her mom is a their and I'm sure she is too so she didn't hire her. I went in the store tonight 5/10/19 and she was accusing another woman for stealing and I said well she accused me as well and the manager mouth off to me she even went as far as accusing me of being high on something I work 7 days a week and was on my 8th day so I was and am tiers. I work for dollar General as a store manager candidate and been doing management for over 10 years and never would I treat customers in that manner the store is in horrible conditions always is when I walked in there were 3 cars in the parking lot and both the manager and cashier were standing at registers and taking not working. I took a HUGE offence to this and the fact my daughter list out on an opportunity due to nothing is wrong the manage judge me and she don't even k me me I have never stole from the store and never will. I went to this store, it's not my normal dollar general, day before payday. Dig out a bunch of quarters to Go get my kid some juice and fresh water and some snack cakes for lunches tomorrow. The lady at the register who claimed to be the manager informed me that she probably wouldn't take my quarters because they wont fit in her slot in the register, there was like 5 quarters in the spot in her drawer when she opened it. She was the nicest rude person I've ever talked too, like I'm sorry that your in your 50's and still checking a register. My total was $10 she just kept going on and on about how it was such a big deal. Then tells me they weigh the change to count it, I asked her if that's how it's done why cry about me paying for my few items with quarters, I could understand an issue if it's all pennies, I just feel if that lady was really management she shouldn't cry about accepting some change, and keep making a big deal about it and sympathise with a young father trying to take care of his kids. Older gentleman was behind me in line and said he was paying with change too, she didn't say a word to him about it. Why single me out? Why even bother causing a scene over some pocket change. I just feel she really could have handled the situation better especially if she is management.

I was required to update my Dollar General app. Since then, when I tried to login it tells me my email does not exist. I enter my phone number and it tells me me the phone number already exists, so it will not let me use it . It will not except any of my passwords. It will not let me change my password. It will not let me change my password. It will not send a link for me to change my password when I enter my email account & and it keeps telling me the phone number is already in use. On May 2, 2019 I stopped at the Dollar General store in Winfield, Alabama Store #03646. I was asking the Store Manager/Assistant Josh about some prices and he begin to cuss me and told me he would call the police on me if I did not leave the store because I told him he was being disrepectful. the upkeep and landscaping of your store in punta gorda fl
The store is located at 1300 Tamiami Trail in Punta Gorda FL. The outside is an embarrassment to our city. Nothing has been kept up. Palm frowns everywhere, weeds, trash. We have a beautiful city and a charming downtown. Nobody is taking care of the place. It's a mess and has been for months.

Hello, friday I spent alot of money at the clearance sale on tide pods and liquid, bounce and dawn dishwashing liquid. So much I had 6, 5/5.01 coupons I tried to use them 1 at a time at 6 different stores notice I said tried. I am mad I dont coupon like crazy I use a few here n there paper and digital coupons so I tried to use the $5. At the first store she scanned the $5. Coupon and it didnt come off she said my total and I said its still the same amount so she manually typed in the coupon and it said already used so theres 1 coupon I couldnt use. 5 other stores they didnt work either same thing happened. Tried to scan didnt work manually put in didnt come off. So I tried at the 6th store I said ive wasted 5 coupons already I might as well try this store none of these have worked all day the lady said really? Ive had a ton of these all day and they all worked that was in charmicheals pa. She hit a button scanned it and the $5. Came off I said omg I cant believe it 1 out of 6 I got to use she said make sure the cashiers hit the sub total button 1st then scan the coupon and it will work. So I missed out on $25. Worth of coupons that I spent well over $100. On tide and such at the clearance sale (thats alot of tide and stuff) beacuse apparently cashiers dont kbow how to use coupons your company is printing out. Maybe dm's need to have training classes every so often so all employees know how to use them. Oh and I wanted to tell you every single cashier was so nice fri sat and sunday I was in over 13 stores for that sale and all were still really nice and seriously thats unusual. falsely accused of theft

On thursday may 2nd, 2019 at store #4984 I was falsely accused of theft by dollar general employees. The police were called and my person, my bags, and my car were searched by police in which their search turned up nothing. I was also informed I was banned from the store even though there were no stolen items found on me or in my car. I had my 8 year old niece with me which made the humiliating situation even worse! I shop at that store almost daily and I probably spend close to $300-$500 every month! I want to know how your employees are trained in a situation as such. What gives them the right to ban me from the store when I wasnt shoplifting!? I can only hope that your corporation will properly address this situation.

I went to the DG store and got me Soft White LED bulbs. When I opened the box there was only 1 bulb instead of two. Someone got into the box and removed one of the bulbs. Not only that the store had merchandise all over the store. It looks like the Truck order has not been put up. Plus you can't hardly find anything in the store the way the store is out of disarray. The store is not like what it use to be. It use to have things in the store the customer needed. Now most of it just stuff no one wants. The store is not well organized at all. its sad how the store looks now.

I am a frequent shopper of the Dollar General in Perryville, AR. To say I am disturbed by how your employees at that store treat customers is an understatement. There is always a line to the back of the store with waiting customers and one cashier. The store is cluttered, it takes a act of Congress to get assistance with anything. The managers are extremely hateful to the customers and cashier's. I witnessed first hand one manager snapping at a little elderly lady because the check reader wasn't working. They greet no one. There are no smiles or acting like they enjoy the job. I am sick of the rude behavior of all of the employees. Gracie is the only employee that says anything when paying customers come in. You need a major overhaul in this store in a huge way. I also work in retail and this is not how a business should be conducted.
If a manager would do they job right, people wouldn't be putting yall [censored] managers on blast.

I am an employee of Dollar General. I am appalled of the conditions of a store I recently visited (store #08331 Oak Harbor Ohio). I would never tell anyone I worked for DG in this area, I'm ashamed! This store needs a crew that CARES! I suggest a major rework of all of the staff.. ALL rolltainers were on the floor, (self-serve?) shelves empty (I assume still on rolltainers), no room to pass thru the asiles, products on floors, 3 shopping carts for the whole store. The store was dirty, dingy, lights out in coolers. This NEEDS looking into ASAP, it will turn our customers away! Where is the district manager? Why would this store be left like this? Where are thehigh standards for DG? Shame on whomever is responsable!
