CASE #0241171
Hello,
My name is Cynthia Corbin, parent of Candice Corbin. This is in reference to the subject case submitted via a telephone conversation with a representative named Christopher on July 14, 2023 at about 1:39 P.M. EST.
After hearing my concerns, I was told that my case would be forwarded to a District Manager and that I would receive a call the following day. I have not heard from anyone representing Dollar General to this day.
The reason for my initial call occurred because my daughter who is cognitive impaired but trainable was the victim of harassment by an employee of your company. The store number is 18715, located in Pineview, GA 31071. The employee is called Tia. She is either a cashier or manager. The harassment occurred on July 14, 2023 at about 1:13 P.M. EST. A witness to the incident informed me that as she walked towards the front to check out, she overheard the employee asking my daughter if she was having sex. She further asked her if she used condoms. My daughter asked, what is a condom. That's when the witness said she's not sexually active and told my daughter to leave the store. The witness also stated the manager said in no uncertain terms to her and everyone in hearing distance in the store that yes, she is. She's been having sex. In my opinion, she exhibited very inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. Because of my daughter's diagnosis, she is in a protected status and not able to knowingly consent to sexual advances.
This matter needs a resolution.
P.S. As of November 5, 2023, there has been no response from any representatives from this Corporation.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Corbin
Negative attitudes. Non-professionals and poor workmanship. Dollar General did the Pineview, GA community a disservice when they hired riffraff to run the store. Also, no need to report any observations to the Corporation because they will never respond or investigate. If perhaps they do investigate, you may never know the results
